Well, gargoyles use modern weapons and even have developed their own style of powered armor, so if we run into then you can bet that we'll have to deal with energy weapons. And missiles. And rail guns.

Looks like it will be the Mystic Knight...sounds good to me. ;-)

Oh, do they? How cool is that? =)

Terrific! So how do we make the character Mega-damage?

Psychie mentioned a few pages back that getting Bio-manipulation upgrades or symboite might be options? As if your character was captured in Atlantis and freed when Owl and Dreamy broke out?

I'm unsatisfied with my character sheet though. I spent an hour or so last night looking at nothing but pictures and images and I can't find a proper Dreamy to save my life. The character sheet has "some" of her, but not enough. It's not quite her yet! Plus there is a little more tweaking to be done before she shines. =)

Oh well! First world problems! I'll keep at it until I like it more! =)

You do know that the Blind Warrior Women are all bald, right? I'm not going to enforce that, but it is in the books somewhere.

You think so, do you? Allow me to look that one up again! 8D

Or as Sherwood might say, "Challenge Accepted." =)

(Seriously, I just saw the answer to that not 24 hours ago.) =)

Lol. I don't remember where I saw that; I think it was in one of the FAQs in one of the books. I'll look for it, too, but as I said, having hair is not a problem.

YES! Found it in two minutes flat!

Psychie Psychie ? Meet Apollo Okamura, a popular artist for Palladium whose work you have most certainly seen all over the Megaverse, including Robotech! Close to the bottom of this page in the Palladium Books forum is this:

Woohoo!
I just got off the phone with the big man, KS, himself and asked about blind warrior women hair, and the answer is...

"Huh, what? No. No, they're not bald. That's the important question you wanted to ask me?" - Kevin Siembieda

Oh, this is YOUR game, good lady! If you say all Altarans are history professors who fly starships one-handed, well, it's your world. I respect you as a person and as a Game Master.

Ok then! I admit it when I'm wrong. And with that coming from Kevin himself, that is as cannon as you can get.
No worries! Oh, and... canon has two "n" letters? (Ha ha! Don't beat me! I can't help being drawn to such details! Ha ha!)

But yeah. Palladium has gotten things wrong before and as a longtime GM of that system, I've learned to keep my facts within close reach. Not things like whether or not the Blind Warrior Women are bald or born blind, usually, but things like (this one riles me up because someone didn't do their research):

Here's the link.

(Number 16)

Does a P.P. bonus add to the strike when using a bow or crossbow? I never thought that it did, but in the new PFRPG, there is one paragraph about modern weapon proficiencies, where it says that you do. Could you clear this up for me?

Answer: The P.P. strike bonus is not applied when using a bow or crossbow.

So Palladium's own website (not the forums) says that you don't add your P.P. bonus to W.P. Archery when it's right there in Rifts Ultimate Edition (p. 326)! "Bonuses that increase for that particular weapon are accumulative and are combined with the character's P.P. attribute, O.C.C., and Hand to Hand Combat skill bonuses." If there is a more researched and prepared book for Palladium games besides Rifts Ultimate Edition, I have yet to see it! =)

That's the stuff I try to keep in my head because I feel it can directly affect a Player's fun or not. What if I told you Oreleth couldn't add per P.P. to her W.P. Archery because the site said so? Baaaarf! =)

Psychie Psychie

I finally found a picture that fits her! It's the very first image on her character sheet. Hooray!

1. Bows. I looked through Spirit West for Weapon Fetish (bows) but I feel Dreamy doesn't qualify. I understand there are "Steel Tree" Weapons in Rifts World Book: Dinosaur Swamp? I don't have that book. But you recommended we start in Florida, so perhaps you do? If so, might any of the Steel Tree bows or crossbows do more than 4d6 damage? Added: Either the bows are equal damage-wise than starter pistols in the core book or they're incredibly awesome and just too much for a 3rd level character. I can keep looking though.

2. Skill. W.P. Sharpshooter from Mad Dog's Skills Compendium v6.5? Thanks to your swapping out Dreamy's literacy skills for language, I can get this (or Sniper if you don't want it). What I like about it: I really like the idea of using Ricochet shot with a bow to nail baddies trying to use cover! Plus, it provides a handy Initiative bonus via Quick Draw. Added: Called shots are easier - including attempts to stake vampires at range. Definitely a plus!

3. Re: Lightblades. I can't find them! Found one type of them in the Madhaven book (p. 84 in the TW Light Shapers Knight of the White Rose equipment). Maybe for Eon's character? =) Added: That one does 4d6 M.D.. See #5 Melee weapons below?

4. Looking through Rifts Black Market for bows, I stumbled across their Unicorn Robot Steed (p. 175, complete with stunning artwork by my favorite Rifts artist, Chuck Walton)! If you don't have the Black Market book, I can write out all the details from my physical copy? I'm not looking for any options on the robot; just the steed alone is plenty for me! Added: I can't think of any other robot horses out there, but if this one is too tough, I understand. I was thinking perhaps we could have a large magnetic plate on Sherwood's character's huge ATV and "mount" him on the side?

5. Melee weapons. Would Flare be all right? That 4d6 M.D. fire-sword I made for Chan-Chan? Also, could there be a knife in her life like the Mokoloi "Warrior's Blade" from Book of Magic, p. 317? It need not be the real Australian weapon - just something that acts like it? A silver returning dagger that does 2D6+3 M.D.?

6. Still on the lookout for two ranged weapons and a suit of decent environmental armor (saw some Stealth armor in a Northern Gun book, but it only grants 12 M.D.C.. Ack!). Something with a Techno-Wizard addition is recommended by the Undead Hunter O.C.C., but I can't think of any reasonable option off of the top of my head. =) Added: I'd like a physical damage rifle preferably with a suppressor and a powerful sniper rifle (also suppressed) if I can find one.

That's all for now!

I'll get to your list in a bit.

I am going to type up a small list of gear that you all were able to secure/steal on your run from Atlantis. You can either keep it or sell it at your discretion.

Is this list of gear for individuals or is it a bundle that we divide up?

I believe GunMan2 GunMan2 wanted to join us; I am mentioning this so his character gets a share. =)

Psychie Psychie After doing a bit more searching around, I have slightly edited my list (with "Added" comments at the end of each paragraph. Just letting you know. No pressure, etc. =)

If it is good with the GM, I am going with a Star Elf (from Phaseworld Anvil Galaxy book) Knight of the White Rose. He was captured and enslaved by the Splugorth and taken to Earth when he was young but was saved by one of the Knights of the White Rose, whom he followed and became a Knight himself. He will be an MDC creature.

Oooh! Eon haz a cool image for his character!

What is a Star Elf and why play one?
