I finally found a picture that fits her! It's the very first image on her character sheet. Hooray!

1. Bows. I looked through Spirit West for Weapon Fetish (bows) but I feel Dreamy doesn't qualify. I understand there are "Steel Tree" Weapons in Rifts World Book: Dinosaur Swamp? I don't have that book. But you recommended we start in Florida, so perhaps you do? If so, might any of the Steel Tree bows or crossbows do more than 4d6 damage? Added: Either the bows are equal damage-wise than starter pistols in the core book or they're incredibly awesome and just too much for a 3rd level character. I can keep looking though.

2. Skill. W.P. Sharpshooter from Mad Dog's Skills Compendium v6.5? Thanks to your swapping out Dreamy's literacy skills for language, I can get this (or Sniper if you don't want it). What I like about it: I really like the idea of using Ricochet shot with a bow to nail baddies trying to use cover! Plus, it provides a handy Initiative bonus via Quick Draw. Added: Called shots are easier - including attempts to stake vampires at range. Definitely a plus!

3. Re: Lightblades. I can't find them! Found one type of them in the Madhaven book (p. 84 in the TW Light Shapers Knight of the White Rose equipment). Maybe for Eon's character? =) Added: That one does 4d6 M.D.. See #5 Melee weapons below?

4. Looking through Rifts Black Market for bows, I stumbled across their Unicorn Robot Steed (p. 175, complete with stunning artwork by my favorite Rifts artist, Chuck Walton)! If you don't have the Black Market book, I can write out all the details from my physical copy? I'm not looking for any options on the robot; just the steed alone is plenty for me! Added: I can't think of any other robot horses out there, but if this one is too tough, I understand. I was thinking perhaps we could have a large magnetic plate on Sherwood's character's huge ATV and "mount" him on the side?

5. Melee weapons. Would Flare be all right? That 4d6 M.D. fire-sword I made for Chan-Chan? Also, could there be a knife in her life like the Mokoloi "Warrior's Blade" from Book of Magic, p. 317? It need not be the real Australian weapon - just something that acts like it? A silver returning dagger that does 2D6+3 M.D.?

6. Still on the lookout for two ranged weapons and a suit of decent environmental armor (saw some Stealth armor in a Northern Gun book, but it only grants 12 M.D.C.. Ack!). Something with a Techno-Wizard addition is recommended by the Undead Hunter O.C.C., but I can't think of any reasonable option off of the top of my head. =) Added: I'd like a physical damage rifle preferably with a suppressor and a powerful sniper rifle (also suppressed) if I can find one.

That's all for now!
1. Use your discretion for your starting gear. So long as it is not a bow rune weapon it should be ok.

2. Ricochet shots with a bow seems a little out there to me, but the bonus to the Called Shot is ok.

3. 4d6 MD is not a deal breaker for a sword. It's ok to take.

4. The robot horse is no problem. When you want to ride in the ATV you can tell the robot to simply follow along and it will.

5. Flare is ok, but no silver knife that returns when you throw it.

6. I'll let you pick two TW upgrades for a suit of armor from the spell list up to level five.

1. O.K.! I will continue my search. =)

2. Re: Ricochet shots. I don't know how familiar you are with bows or what you're thinking of as a gamer concerning ricochet shots. We're not talking about breaking physics, but using physics to realistic advantage (and nailing targets otherwise unhittable via direct-line-of-fire). This is what I'm talking about. Is this do-able?=)

"Amazing 25 yard Ricochet Bow Shot"

3. Re: Oh, that's not a sword - it's a bracer with multiple functions. Plus, it's a Knight of the White Rose-specific item. I was bringing it up for Eon's benefit. I can't see how Dreamy would come by one?

4. The Mountaineer is absolute beast of a monster truck crossed with an SUV. Would it be possible to mount or keep the horse on the back of it?

5. O.K..! Thank you for Flare! I will keep an eye out for another M.D. melee weapon.

6. Oh, wow! Cool! I'd better find some stealthy environmental armor now, shouldn't I? =)

Regarding armor: the spells you can pick from will have a caster level of five, so if you were to pick Armor of Ithan (for example) it will give you 50 MDC.

Uh, AutoCorrect/Spellcheck seems to have struck again. I think what you're saying is - any of the TW spells you're allowing on the armor have a maximum level of 5 and act as if cast by a spell-user of that same level? =)

yes. You can pick two spells of up to level five and they have an effective caster level of five for duration or other variables.

Thanks! (My brain is still stuck on "toy!" ACK! I'm guessing you meant "you?" If so, the statement makes sense! This has me distracted! Hah! =)

How about the other topics? (Is Ricochet Shot allowed? If not, can she fire a bow one-handed (pulling the arrow using her teeth. She's got a P.S. of 28).

(Is Troy the Robot Unicorn mountable on Mountaineer or must it ride behind?)

(I am to choose another weapon besides the Knight of the White Rose bracer, right? I brought that up for Eon's use.)

Yes, using my phone to post sometimes gets a little off. I try to spellcheck but obviously I miss stuff sometimes.

Ok, you can bounce your arrows off of appropriate surfaces.

I think that using your teeth to pull a bow string will be possible but with minuses to your roll.

Let me think about the robot unicorn and if it will be too heavy to hook to the back of the ATV.

Save the bracer for Eon.

Requests.
Bow or Crossbow - Blackwood Bow from Kitsune (same person who made Dreamy's O.C.C.).
EDIT: I will gladly take any bow from this list; I have searched my entire Palladium Library and I can't find a non-rune bow that's in Dreamy's reach or otherwise worth a darn.

Melee Weapon #2 (Flare is #1!) - Crystal Stun Mace (Secrets of the Atlanteans, p 139).
Ranged Weapon #1 - JA-12 Laser Rifle/Grenade Launcher from Juicer Uprising/Game Master's Guide.
Ranged Weapon #2 - TX-17 Assault Rifle preferably with ammo drums (Triax 2, p. 100).
Armor - The Triax T-E02 "Infiltrator" Espionage Armor minus the Camouflage system and jump pack (we are 3rd level after all) (Triax 2, p. 109). TW upgrades: 1. Breathe Without Air. 2. Sound Cloaking System.

Ammo too, please. =)

Dreamy can only choose one of the two. I'll go with ricochet shot, please. =)

I'm asking because Troy weighs 800 pounds. The Mountaineer weighs 12,000 pounds (6 tons per RUE). =)

I would think that 800 pounds wouldn't be a problem.

Ok, so long as the ATV is not fully loaded in its rear compartment with other junk, you can attach the robot horse to the back of the ATV with a mechanical rig that will carry it along.

You can get your selected stuff. I approve this list.

What is a Star Elf and why play one?
Mainly I chose a Star Elf because of the picture I found for the character.

Secondarily, I chose a Star Elf because they are megadamage creatures (supernatural strength is nice too).

Star elves are a more ancient type of elves found in Phase World, they are related to the Rifts Asgardian Elves (which I think are in the Pantheons book). They are generally very arrogant folk but given my character was a child when he was taken as a slave he himself is not arrogant at all. He really does not know of his people, he just knows he is a particularly tough and strong elf that most of the world looks down on.

It appears my equipment questions have been answered in the thread ;-)

(Further thoughts on my character)

To me this character has Alucard from the Netflix Castlevania Series vibes, he is not a Dampyr or anything but he has that bearing of calm, mystery, and power about him.

Knight of the White Rose Dice Rolling Thread

Sometimes the dice are kind. Other times I have to lock them up in dice jail to suffer for their crimes against characters.

Ain't that the truth (I'm looking at you RP Nation Dice Roller)! 8D

Psychie Psychie How much ammo are you comfortable with Dreamy having? Few, some, lots, what-have-you?
1. Blackwood short composite bow
1a. JA-12 Laser rifle with grenade launcher
1b. TX-17 Assault Rifle

2. Crystals/arrowheads (1d4+1 each)

1D4+1 Crystals of Daylight (Can also be arrow heads): This is a small (Usually yellow) crystal that when shattered, creates a globe of daylight. Normal Level is Sixth Level. Uses the spell of "Spell Store" and “Globe of Daylight.”

1D4+1 Crystals of Lightning (Can also be arrow heads): This is a small (Usually blue) crystal that when shattered, creates a lightning bolt. Normal Level is Sixth Level. Uses the spell of "Spell Store" and “Call Lightning”

1D4+1 Crystals of Shockwave (Can also be arrow heads): This is a small (Usually white) crystal that when shattered, creates a lightning bolt. Normal Level is Sixth Level. Uses the spell of "Spell Store" and "Shockwave"

3. Credits and goods from 1st level?

"Most will pick up additional magic items to help them in their fight against vampires and demons..
Money: The character starts off with 2D6x100 in credits and has additional black market items that will garner an additional 1D6x1000 credits. As always, the money can be spent immediately on additional equipment or saved.

On a side note here, I notice that Dreamy's armor and assault rifle are both of Triax Industries make - that might prove cool when we finally get to Germany ("Yes, these toughies came to good use in the dinosaur-haunted swamps of Florida.") =)
