lol That's fair enough.
Psychie Psychie I think they have to be gods. Snowfall is a Celestial Messenger to one of Japan's most-popular and influential gods, Inari. If these three have P.P.E. beyond Inari's own, then yeah. As far as I'm concerned, Thor, Sif, and a sick/cursed Freya just walked in the door.
I was a bit shocked at this . . . at first. Then I remembered that we are in a Rifts game where beings like these do exist and then it made much more sense to me. I think you are probably right.

I get it right once in awhile. =)

I had forgotten about your working with Inari, so I should restate that their PPE levels are in the same neighborhood as hers, giving you a very valid theory as to what you are dealing with here.
Ah! Very telling indeed! =)

I would like Snowfall to draw upon his Mythology skill (81%) to further try and identify these folks?

How about we just go with 'Terra's'?
That was my original suggestion about a week or so back. Either "Terra's" or "Terra's Tavern." I do like the former better but it's your bar.

You are asking me how much money it takes to open up a bar?!? To be honest, I personally have no clue. But you are right in the fact that it will take some fundage. Lets go with 2 million at the moment for the building, inventory and salaries of your employees.
If I may?

I think opening a bar is dependent on several important things. First and foremost - the location. Neighborhood and clientele are everything. Take into account the quality of the building you're trying to work from (new? Used?). What kind of drinks and liquor and food you're trying to sell and how much folks are willing to pay for it. Taxes, insurance, and the laws will all play a role as will any competition in the area (other bars and inns).

Quality staff should demand quality wages. The lower you pay, the lower you get. The reverse is also true most times. I highly recommend paying your people well and having high standards because a bad room is, for the boss, a hell to walk into while in a good room? Shoot. The manager's job is already done (because the teamwork in the staff is already there. They're not about drama; they're about getting the work done).

If the staff is entirely Rat-kin, then the only ones I have think we have to worry about are the cat-folk because rats and cats and well you know the rest. =) However, they being rats living like scavengers under Lone Star, you might find stock disappearing so I'd keep an eye on that too.

Two million for a quality bar in a place like Eris Nova? I would think would make one hell of a bar, especially if you spent the money wisely.

I also think that you can have a hell of a lot of fun with this. What is the theme of the bar? What's on the walls? What kind of music do they play? Stuff like that. The place is named after Terra for God's sake. Go wild! Let your imagination fly as if you'd just thrown Blazing Comet on it!

"May I suggest the dark lager? It is one of our own microbrews here, and it has a real good flavor to it."
Microbreweries? Now you're talking investments! =) We're going to go have our own Shark Tank: Atlantean version in here if this keeps up. Just kidding!

I'm just being silly. This is a lot to have fun with! I hope you make the best of it (and remember the bar in the movie The Right Stuff if you'd like a bit of inspiration from Real Life adventurers ). =)

Given that most of the gods you are aware of have the ability to shapeshift and change their forms, you can only get a good estimate of which ones (if any) you are dealing with. Even so, the two younger people fit the general description of the Greek gods of Appolo and Artimis, given their choice of weapons and the animal companions with the woman. The older woman is a mystery to you.

Well, speaking as a player if that is Apollo and Artemis, then then that just might be their mom, Leto! Given that she's apparently suffering matches what little I know of her.

I will say that Snowfall does not believe that to be true. He does not know which deity that this woman is, just based on her appearance.

I'm not going to post again IC until we've had a chance to hear from Silanon Silanon so he doesn't feel left out of this. With as busy of a time that he's had, it is only fair to him to let Eron jump into the scene, too.

The older woman is a mystery to you.
Yeah. You mentioned Snowfall didn't know. I was speaking as a player. =)

See Aura is but one of the powers on Snowfall's Magic Helmet. Do the other powers register anything unusual?

"Magic Powers: The wearer can See the Invisible, See Aura, see infrared light, see strong heat radiation same as a thermo-imager, detect magic concealment, and recognize illusions!"

I'd feel like a real dummy to discover that these three were just parading around as highly powerful beings and we fell for it. There are spells that do that.

The other magic powers of the helmet do not spot any invisible beings in the area, IR light is consistent with what you would expect without anything out of place, no magic concealment, and no illusions. They appear to be genuine.

Cooool! A dragon in the bar... real gods and their pets....not to mention that Crazy with the alien symbiote! Talk about a two-for-oneif I've ever seen one! Whoa!

Sherwood Sherwood Two more off the wall questions: Is Morrolan still part of our gang? Would taking on the skill Right Brain Memory Techniques have any desirable effect in game? It's in the skills compendium v6.0? It's supposed to drastically cut down on the time required to memorize spells?

Yes, Morrolan is still hanging around.

If you take that skill, I will let you memorize and learn spells faster. It can come in handy.

I have added the skill to fill that empty 8th level slot! I am leaving a note to myself hete to look and see if Tattooed Voyagers get any bonuses to Technical skills. I I think they do but I don't remember! And the funny thing is, the skill he's choosing helps memory! Can the player choose it too? =)

Thanks for the wait, folks! I'm trying to get something up right now, let's see how it goes. By the way, I think I'll stick with just HEMA, and don't pick up an auto-dodge style - simply because I really want to go with HEMA as soon as it's a somewhat reasonable choice (read: as soon as I've leveled it up a bit). And I think I'd rather pick up another skill than lose three for a third style.

Sherwood Sherwood

Switching back to English, Archer says, "Please forgive my sister. She is a bit of an impatient one at the moment, which is odd considering how long she is willing to devote to a good hunt. Can you please share the details of that day? I can make it worth your while if you would indulge me."
The one believed to be Apollo is introducing himself as "Archer" and not his sister? That's odd.

Would it be possible for Snowfall to have overheard their drink requests and brought them their dark lagers?

Sure. You can have delivered the drinks and are now there.

Sherwood Sherwood Lord Brazamal paid each of us 3 million credits? Was there anything that I missed? Did we have any chance to spend any of it before? I, for one, wanted some P.P.E. batteries big time.

I don't know.... I mean, you've only had six months to get them. lol Yes, you can get some PPE batteries from Moloch. The prices are listed in the Lore tab. How many are you looking for?

All of them, and some more. He'll bring the badger with us just to store his reserve batteries away. And he might need a trailer, too.

Actually, Snowfall went to a Techno-Wizard monastery and prayed there until he learned the secret of making P.P.E. batteries.

Snowfall then be like: "I have da POWAAA!!"

I Have The Power GIF

Sherwood Sherwood Four, please, for the 3,000,000 credits - that's just enough to cover the P.P.E. cost of a Dimensional Teleport (with the lesser of the two Physical Endurance costs). =)

Psychie Psychie Sherwood Sherwood Silanon Silanon

And one (hopefully last?) version of Hand to Hand: HEMA. Kaerri caught a few grammatical errors and videos that I didn't get transferred over (not to mention something I meant to add at 13th level was added at 12th and that's now fixed). What a deep rabbit-hole learning about HEMA has turned out to be! =)
