Sherwood Sherwood Questions! Because I'm hoping you're bored and have nothing else to do but have fun answering roleplaying questions! Yeah, that's it!

1. Have you examined Chi-magic?

2. Concerning the Tattoo, "Dimensional Teleport to a Stone Pyramid (Secrets of the Atlanteans, page 174 in physical copy)," could Snowfall use this to return to the stone pyramid Terra calls home? If so, this with Featherlight is one hell of a way to get the party back to the plane and total safety.

3. I am still in the process of writing up Asian Magic Spells. So far, I've created four, only one of which would have any combative effects in a Rifts campaign (but they are all certainly Asian in origin!). I'll let you know when I find something that Snowfall might use in our game here? =)
1. I've just started to look it over. Its . . . interesting, to say the least.

2. I will have to see if Featherlight can be used to lighten a person, otherwise you will only be able to take one full-sized person with you and your gear. Perhaps Terra can use her Reduce Self spell to shrink to a six-inch size to make it work. Or, you both can use that power together and I would let you pool your weight allotment to be able carry more with you.

3. I am curious to see how they are coming along. Please make sure you share as you go!

Ack! I've screwed up. Says here in Book of Magic (page 106, physical copy), "Featherlight allows a spell caster to reduce an object's (does not work on a living creature) weight to that of a feather."

EDIT: Otherwise, it works on 200 lbs./level of experience. So... Dimensional Teleport to a Stone Pyramid" to teleport the party is plain not going to work (at 30 lbs./level).

So, if I'm gathering this right, casting Featherlight on the party means casting it on each individual heavy thing they're carrying (at 10 P.P.E. each). I don't think this is going to work as I read it would. Still, it's a neat spell with no Saving Throw. Hmm.

If you are hauling a chest or a suit of armor, then the Featherlight spell would come in quite handy.

True. Each of us has Supernatural Strength though. Oh, heck with it. I'm sure it will come in handy sooner or later. =)

Sherwood Sherwood Moar.

4. His spell selections follow:

1. Blinding Flash
2. Sense Evil
3. Thunderclap

1. Befuddle
2. Detect Concealment
3. Extinguish Fire (Just for Sil. Just kidding! It'll come in handy, I'm sure.) =)

1. Impervious to Poison
2. Negate Poison/Toxin
3. Telekinesis

1. Energy Field (instead of Chromatic Protection)

1. Featherlight

1. Time Slip

1. Invulnerability

1. Wisps of Confusion (instead of Wall of Wind)

6. The ten Spells he would like from Terra are:

1. Meteor
2. Magical-Adrenal Rush ("Watch out! It's Rush Hour!")
3. Purification
4. Lightblade
5. Constrain Being
6. Reduce Self
7. Multiple Image
8. Distant Voice
9. Magic Net
10. Invisibility (Simple)

Psychie Psychie Terra is, of course, welcome to any of his spells! =)

Looks good to me. As time goes by, you'll be able to pick up more spells from Terra and other sources to bolster your Invocation list.

Now that Snowfall has his initial spell list made, I will put some polish on my next IC post to get the next arc started soon.

I still have either a Tattoo or two Skills to choose from (I haven't decided which is best yet).

Psychie Psychie Rifts China!

I cannot think of any Skills that would benefit Snowfall (he's even got one he hasn't chosen for 8th level). Either the skill is possibly useful but wouldn't be used but once in a blue moon if that (Interrogation Techniques) or it's a small buff to our already-excellent physical abilities (General Athletics, etc.), or it's really neat but starts with such a low success rate that it's probably not worth getting given that we're 8th level and not going to level very often at all anymore (Right Brain Memory Techniques for spell memorization at 20%).

If I can't of anything, I'll have Snowy go for a Tattoo then:

22. Energized Blind - Eye with a Dagger in It (Secrets of the Atlanteans, page 160).
P.P.E. to Activate: 30 (25 + 5)
Duration: The effect is instant and the victim is blinded for two rounds per level of the T-man's experience.
The Tattooed Man possesses the blinding touch for two rounds (30 seconds) per level of his experience.

Hmm.

I'll see if I can get a post up tomorrow . Pushed myself too far this week-end to get a talk done by Monday - everything went well, but it's not a good thing to do while going through a tough phase. I'll be back on track soon enough, just pretty exhausted for the moment. Great posts, though!

Silanon Silanon Rest up, Sil. Relax and enjoy your accomplishments! =)

When you posted this, the following is all I could think of....
If you look waaay back at my early posts with Snowfall, you'll find that very scene from Looney Tunes! That is exactly the inspiration from which Snowfall is pulling from when he goes into "Sir Looks-A-Lot" mode! =)

Extremely high PPE from all three, higher than anyone you've ever come across,
Psychie Psychie I think they have to be gods. Snowfall is a Celestial Messenger to one of Japan's most-popular and influential gods, Inari. If these three have P.P.E. beyond Inari's own, then yeah. As far as I'm concerned, Thor, Sif, and a sick/cursed Freya just walked in the door.

I had forgotten about your working with Inari, so I should restate that their PPE levels are in the same neighborhood as hers, giving you a very valid theory as to what you are dealing with here.

You are asking me how much money it takes to open up a bar?!? To be honest, I personally have no clue. But you are right in the fact that it will take some fundage. Lets go with 2 million at the moment for the building, inventory and salaries of your employees.
