Sherwood Sherwood Hey, bud! Your game, your rules, your interpretations!

How else is a Game Master supposed to run their game? If that's the way it works here, then it's more power to everybody, man. I feel there is a camp of gamers out there that wouldn't run it this way, but that's their problem for this isn't their game.

I think every GM must enjoy their universe or why play at all?

For example. Just look at the Cyber-knights and the code they follow. How open to interpretation is it? So open that the Cyber-knights themselves split on it! Whoa!

My point? Cyber-knights have been odd ducks in my experience since Day One. There is no other Class quite like them. I feel I would be hard-pressed to find two Games Masters that ran Cyber-knights the exact same way. So you just keep being you, bud! I am here and having a good time! =)

Being too generous, Mr. GM.

With that in mind...

It looks like we can decide or roll for what level psychic I am? How do you want to handle that? I'd like to be at least SOME level of psychic, I think.

Also, does my 6d6 PPE from Cyber-Knight stack with my 3d6 (average 10)+12 for marks of heritage+6 per additional magic tattoo?

For rolls, you have two choices. You can make your own rolls here in the OOC thread, or have me use my own dice to determine your results. It's up to you as to which one you wish to have me do.

Yes. You get all that, plus the points per level up.

There. I fixed the link to Gradicus (it worked on my phone? Oh well!).

What did everyone else choose for rolls? To have you roll?

WlfSamurai WlfSamurai I believe I rolled Gradicus's dice using RP Nation's, but Snowfall (if memory serves?) was rolled for me by Sherwood.

I may be different than most in that I don't trust the RP Nation roller anymore. It has just screwed me and mine once too often. Besides, I strongly feel that if some action I request fails or succeeds, I want real dice being the deciding factor, not "Jim-Bob's Dicey Dice Algorithm! Wheeee!"

I started RPGs with real dice and I continue to have a deep love of the sound of rolling polyhedrons as they decide the destinies of paper-drawn Characters who would help shape the very universes they tread. So yeah. It's plastic or metal or wood dice all the way for this Dannigan. =)

WlfSamurai WlfSamurai We are introducing a new Player in one of the two games I host. In it, I've gathered some questions from sources I like (in this case, Guy from YouTube's fun and excellent "How to Be a Great GM" and have passed them along to the new Player in the hopes they'll help light the way to a strong foundation that eventually blossoms into a Character they genuinely love to play! So, in that spirit, I pass along those questions here for you. Perhaps answer them in a general way, avoiding specifics like places, but adding the desired atmosphere and style you'd most like? Use this or discard it as you please or if you would rather have a quote from Bruce Lee, "Take what is useful and develop from there." =)

1. Where was your Cyber-knight born? (What kind of place? Situation?)

2. How did your Cyber-knight grow up (including who her family is in basic terms, with or without first names)?

3. What kind of education does your Cyber-knight have?

4. What was your Cyber-knight doing prior to her life as an adventurer?

5. Why did your Cyber-knight become an adventurer?

6. What short-term goals does your Cyber-knight have?

7. What long-term goals does your Cyber-knight have?

All this can fall into one page of text to keep things concise and tidy. As with any of my advice, use this or discard it as you please or if you would rather have a quote from Bruce Lee, "Take what is useful and develop from there." =)

Oh yes. I’m with you, 100%. Even when I solo game, I use real dice. Not only do I feel like the results are better, but it feels better. I love it😄

And to your point, as I’m sure you know, there isn’t real random numbers on a computer. The RPN algorithm sometimes seems like it’s against the roller.

So, Sherwood Sherwood , please roll your dice if you’d be so kind.

Good questions! I’ll keep them in mind, for sure.

Here is another set of rolls for you:
Psychic Level: Master - This ups your Psi Sword damage in addition to giving you several powers.
ISP: 86

Just to let you know, in the Lore tab, there is a new list of psy powers that are not in the core book that I brought over from an Issue of the Rifter magazine that are allowed to be used. Take a look at them, and I would suggest getting the Physical power of Enhanced Reflexes. When activated, that one grants you an extra attack per melee.

WlfSamurai WlfSamurai I have to ask: Have you chosen a Clan? Doing so might help you with the tattoos Sherwood gives you.

Each clan also has its own bladed tattoo weapon to represent them so one house might have a for a rapier while the next might have a two-handed sword (see Secrets of the Atlanteans for details. The weapon types are described at the beginning of each clan's description).

Oh nice! I'll do that right away. Thanks!

Sorry this is taking a bit. There's so much to it.

No worries on how long this is taking. There is no deadline for you.

There is a max of six tattoos that you can have, including the two that you already have. Don't forget that with each tat you get additional 6 PPE and 10 SDC.

Yes, thank you!

I assume your rolls for HP and such included everything up to level 8?

For your armor's additional 4d6 for the main body, you get an additional 13 more MDC.

Holy crap. Wow. NOW I'm getting to skills. And I still need to select psionic powers, tattoos, and extra skills.

Sherwood Sherwood for the OCC related skills, is it 12 in ADDITION TO the ones listed in OCC related skills? Or are those just the categories you can choose from?

You get all of the OCC skills, then you get this:

Select 1 2 other skills, but at least two must be
selected from the Physical category and another three must be
W.P.s. Select two additional skills at level three, three additional
W.P.s at level five, two other skills at level s ix, two other skills at
level nine, and one at level twelve. All new skills start at level one
proficiency.

The categories listed below this show what (if any) bonuses you qualify for in that category, or even if there are any skills available to pick from in a particular category.
