Revolt of the Outer Rim - Out of Character

Guys calm down it's an RP. If there's an issue you think the other person will fix take it up to them in PMs.

Okay, we do actually need an enemy. Something like a HVT. We get in, capture that guy, and we get our. As simple as that.
Although I do need permission from @Archie to proceed to tweak the story a bit. Create a more bigger driving force, and make this mission a bit longer.
All clear, we'll be spending quite a bit of time in the infiltration and on Basilisk so there's a lot of time in between.

@Coward, make sure to include an update on missions from base command, which I've, unfortunately, failed to apply in my post. We have to get in, locate the High Value Target, capture him, turn off their defences, kill them, and ultimately get out. Failure to comply will result in an obvious death.

Quick update on the CS, run into some problems and will be completing it all tomorrow. jmrg Hows this for a PDC operator? :3

That's like some UCM level shitz, boyo. Now about you join the good side, kid. No use in dabbling with affairs concerning mercs, or should I say, NARCS.

Hey, two quick questions:
What is the size of the shuttle that they are on?

Also, what is a "point station"?

@Archie @Tarmagon
They're on a Trojan class assault shuttle. 25 troopers, 2 gunners, pilot, and co-pilot. Obviously it is quite empty. PD, or point station, is a Point Defense station. They're tasked with shooting down incoming missiles.

Currently there are 4 pc's on board, and 4 npc's. A standard point defense crew is 3 members, and we had requested 2 pd crews from Basilisk.

We got you and Cody. Kamille walked into the side of the shuttle, and Arven piloted it from the Meg to the spaceport we left from.

@Tarmagon Thanks! That clears things up a bit. I'd never heard of a Point Defense Station before, and when I looked it up, the army terms didn't seem to be compatible with space ships, haha!

I'll probably be one of the crew members in the PD crews if thats alright with you guys and girls. Work gets in the way of role playing >.<

@Archie ,@Wandering Hollow , @Nerdork Hey guys. As soon as Cody's chosen his over-watch position, I'm going to time-skip us through the mountains to the actual rendezvous. If Kamille wants to join Cody outside in a snipers role, you'll need to volunteer her in your next post @Wandering Hollow. Yes, it's obvious that we're going to be landing in a hostile situation, but whether or not it comes to battle has yet to be decided. I have three possible scenario's in mind, so how would the majority like it handled? Peacefully, hostile but no open conflict, or full out ambush? Any of these will provide information to advance the story, but each will provide something different.

Peaceful, Hostile, or Ambush?

Let's go with peaceful. Sure a hostile or an ambush sounds fun as hell but a peaceful negotiation carries... A risk. The cargo could have been tampered and we wouldn't know until we check it properly. An ambush is overdone but still enjoyable if the ambushed managed to tip it to their favour. (Something Kamille enjoys doing.)

Then again... A good shoot out always brightens up the day. Like a HE railgun round.

That's one for peaceful. :) I'll make the final determination tomorrow, to give @Archie time to respond through the time differential.

I'm also with peaceful so we can rendezvous with other characters

I've floated all my scenarios past Archie and gotten approval. As soon as he posts for Cody (and approves your cs) a clandestine meeting shall occur. Keep your eyes and ears open.

Aye aye sir, just reading through the story so far. Gives me a general idea of each character.

Peaceful meetings are the most nerve-racking. At least shooting releases stress.

Well, shooting also leads to bad introductions don't they...?

You can only loot a body once. You buy or steal from the same person over and over.
