Realistic or Modern Retaliation

Grey got into his new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and took a deep breath. Within a few moments Surge returned with five pairs of fresh license plates and five new Vehicle Identification Numbers. "Here ya go" Surge said handing the materials to Grey. "Thanks bro" Grey replied placing the materials next to him. "If ya need anythin' else just hit me up aight" Surge responded with a slight wave. Grey nodded, "Don't forget to pick up the R/T tomorrow". Surge nodded back while Grey thanked him and drove back to the hideout.

Benji glanced at his watch exactly fifteen minutes since Grey left the place. He opened the garage to see a car rapidly park in it. Benji jumped up in panic. OH NO!!! Ah shoot! I let someone in! STRANGER DANGER! The young teen thought to himself, but relaxed once Grey got out. Benji grinned before closing the garage. "Any heads get ripped off yet?" Grey questioned jokingly in a monotone voice. It sounded like he was serious. "Nope not since you've been gone. Everything is okay as far as I'm concerned" Benji replied standing up to look at Grey's ride. "No touching. I'll be right back. I saw someone out in the front so . . . be back" Grey said walking inside and back out to the front porch to see Cameron just chilling. He heard some mumbling in the kitchen going on but wasn't exactly sure of what was being said. "How's it going?" Grey asked standing next to Cameron.

The insult Sarah threw at Tris made Ashlynn gasp. She threw her hands to her mouth. The younger girl knew it was too late to intervene. Getting involved now might cause her to get slapped by accident. She was fully prepared for the older girl to lunge herself across that table at Sarah. That's why when she didn't, Ash was surprised.

Sarah was surprised too. From the others reactions to her insult, she was already fairly confident she was about to get slapped in the face. She knew she had hit home. So Tris's response was unexpected. She didn't react the way she was supposed to. It was supposed to affect her. Sarah was momentarily taken aback. In the back of her head, she knew it had to have hurt Tris. However, now with everyone ganging up against her, she didn't feel so tough anymore. Sarah kept the feeling off her face, but decided it was time to back down. She did want the last word however. "Whatever. Don't act like it didn't affect you. I know it did." She left it at that and turned away from the girl. After every argument Sarah gets in, she feels bad for the things she says. It wasn't any different this time. She couldn't control things she would say on the spot, and she wasn't good at apologizing afterwards. Though, she always felt bad. Sarah stood up from the table, and started taking care of her plate. She looked at Hunter, then looked away. Brec approached Sarah, and the younger girl suddenly crossed her arms protectively. Brec lectured her, but she was more calm and serious about it than Sarah expected her to be. For that, she was glad. Sarah didn't want to show weakness, so just let out an, "I know," Then turned away. She began to walk out of the room. The bedrooms had by now been claimed by at least one person, so she wasn't sure were to go. Sarah decided she just wanted some fresh air, so she went outside past Cameron and Grey and went to the back of the building, and leaned against the wall. She put a hand to her head as she rethought the things she had said.

Lexi Montreal

Lexi let out a small sigh as she watches her little sister head for the exit after she just witnessed what happened. She was greatful Beatrice didn't do anything to hurt her little sister. Yes, she was mad at her but she knew she was regretting it now. She ran a hand through her hair before looking at Beatrice, "Thank you for not doing anything wreckless." She says with a small smile and nod. "She's still young.. she doesn't know what she's talking about and she definitely regrets it." She looks around at everyone else, "I'll be back." She turns around and starts walking in the direction Sarah had went, spotting Cameron and Grey at the entrance. "You guys know where Sarah went?" She asks them, frowning slightly while looking around. ‎Now wasn't the time for her sister to be wandering around in the dark even if this place was abandoned or not.

Benji nodded as Grey left. He sighed looking at the stuff he already unpacked. A little break would be great. The young teen left the garage and walked back into the dining room. "Hey! . . . um" His facial expression changed from his usual bright one to one of confusion. "Did something happen here?" Benji blinked a couple of times then looked around the room. "Ah nevermind just gonna pick up one more piece of bread" He quickly stuffed a piece into his mouth then left again. Alright back to work. Benji thought to himself as he returned to the garage and took out a small solar panel. Time to get my stuff running on some high quality electrons. The young teen thought to himself while exiting the back door and looking for a spot. Yeah, the back part of the lot seemed like a safe place to put it. Just need to block out the side exposure so it won't get stolen. Benji thought looking around for some materials then spotting a figure at the side of his eyes, "Sarah?"

Grey watched as Sarah ran out the door. He was going to stop her, but got interrupted by Lexi. "Yeah toward the back. Is something wrong?" The teen asked tilting his head a bit.

Cameron

Grey had approached Cameron first. and had asked him how he was going. Honestly? Quite fine. So, Cameron reacted in such a manner. "I just have to get acclimated. I'll be all right once I'm able to get some sleep, y'know?" Cameron would certainly feel much better, whenever that came. Hopefully, he didn't pass out right where he was sitting in a few hours. "How about you? Everythin' as you expected?" Around this time, Lexi had made her way out the front door after Sarah, who had went around the side of the building. So, when Lexi had asked where she had went, Cameron was able to provide an answer which he was pretty positive about.

Using a thumb, Cameron motioned to his left, accompanying Grey's words. He figured there were a few things that did not need to go mentioned; such as the fact that Sarah seemed to be down in the dumps. Obviously that was why Lexi was looking for her in the first place. Cameron wasn't particularly in the mood to deal with the drama. Hell, they were all going to be stuck living in the house for quite some time. It was only expected for some people to bump heads, even on day one.

"I'll tell ya, man. I wouldn't wanna share a room with me. I'ma be smokin' and shit all the time in there..."
A small chuckle followed.

Quentin

Quentin had been in the living room the whole time, lounging on the couch and trying to have his peace as he listened to his music, but the girls started fighting; shit-talk style. He wasn't interested on what it was about, but all he knew was that it had all been under control until someone said something about someone's mom. Quentin turned his music up even louder, loud enough for some of the others to hear even when he was wearing headphones. He had always been the kind of person who avoided fights, unless he was the person being challenged. In that case, he definitely would not back down. But when others were quarreling on the spot, he always decided not to get involved, because, well... simply because it wasn't his problem. He raised his eyebrows as he watched Sarah walked out of the room. Quentin slid his headphones down to his neck and without a word, Quentin strolled into the kitchen, whistling as he took a can of soda and popped the tab, bringing it to his lips.

Ingrid

Ingrid all the while had watched everything with her eyes wide, trying not to take sides. Of course, she was mostly siding with Tris, but she knew how Sarah's mind worked, and knew that she probably felt guilty about what she did. Plus, siding with people never worked out well. It was bound to get awkward later on. If she sided with Tris, talking to Sarah would be hard. And she liked Sarah, despite the fact that she was a bit difficult at times. If she sided with Sarah, on the other hand, there was a possibility that Tris and the other girls wouldn't talk to her. So instead of speaking

up, Ingrid inched away slowly and kept quiet.

Sarah looked out into the darkness and took a few deep breaths. She knew she wasn't always like this. As a child she was much nicer. Getting taken advantage of one too many times created this side of her. She started snapping back at people. Before she knew it, Sarah was becoming popular through intimidation and gossip. At the time, it wasn't what she wanted, but she didn't know how to change it. Soon enough, things got out of hand, and Sarah just lived up to the role she created for herself. She was a popular bitch. She knew that. It wasn't anything new. She was used to it. She'd continue to be that way. Though she didn't like it. Her eyes had started to water at this point and a single tear slipped. Just her luck, that's when the back door opened, and Benji stepped out. She heard her name and quickly wiped the tear away. She said as cheerfully as she could manage, "Benji! Hi."

Avery

The small break in tension had been nice for the short while, so was the few minutes where everyone was working together for a moment but then the drama started with Tris and her sarcastic comment. She wasn't sure what was up between the two girls but now wasn't the time to be enemies. For god sakes they were all trying to clear their name. Part of her honestly was reminded why she left to college now, to avoid the immature nonsense like this. It was like dealing with children, which was partly true. Still, Ave had no right to start snapping at the kids and telling them how childish they were being. Out of everyone her connections were probably the weakest.

She saw everyone in the table getting involved even Brec as they decided to take sides. Ave wasn't going to pick sides nor was she going to get caught up in all of the petty melodrama. Instead she opted to grab a plate and pile in some of the Alfredo that was left along side some sides and a garlic bread. She had noticed Nora absent from the table and figured she could at least make sure her baby sister was cared for in all of the chaos. The teen moved out of the dining area before things could get worse and glanced at the doors that were in the hall. Taking a chance she knocked on one of them, "Nora?"

Brec watched Sarah walk out the house then sighed running her fingers through her hair. She looked at Tris giving her a warm real smile and walked over to her giving her a tight hug. "You did the right thing sweetie..." She told her then gave her a big fat kiss on her cheek. Oh how much she loved being Tris best friend she'd rather have her as a sister than her two other sisters. But...she was happy to have her sisters, even if she wasn't related to them. It hurt though, not being related to your sisters, feeling like the odd one in the bunch. She hated it but she was going to find her real parents one day and ask them why did they give her up. But for now she wanted to watch some tv. She stretched her body hearing her body make popping noises and she mumbled something in her German. She walked to her room not even knowing who she is sharing it with and entered grabbing her blanket and pillow. She looked through her clothes duffle bags again to make sure Fangs was in there but sadly he wasn't and she couldn't go back to get him. She walked back through the halls the big cover covering her body like she had on a huge coat the vikings would wear then had her pillow in her arm. She made to the living room where there was a big TV and turned it on. She looked through the menu and saw it had Netflix on it. She was happy...real happy and since Netflix was on there she knew just what to watch. Spartacus: Blood and Sand. She was on episode 8 which meant she had two more episodes left until she was onto the second season if don't count season 0. She found episode 8 and pushed play waiting for it to load. The cover around her like a cocoon of warmth.

"Yeah I get it" Grey nodded at Cameron. "All good other than this fugitive stuff. Got a new ride. That's it" He said then listened to Cameron's next comment. "Pretty sure there are some other guys that smoke here though. Ace and Quentin maybe" Grey suggested. "Hey!" Benji waved and went over to Sarah. "Whatcha doing back here huh? You okay?" The young teen asked raising a brow.

Sarah forced a small laugh, and nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine." She ran a hand through her hair and smiled softly looking down at the ground. "I just wanted some fresh air. It's a nice night." She played with her hands, then forced herself to look up at Benji and smile at him. She didn't want to tell him what happened. Everyone else was already mad at her. She didn't want him to be mad too. Not Benji. "What are you doing out here?" She asked him casually.

Cameron

"New ride? Congrats. I'm not so worried about roommates. That kinda shit will figure itself out. And if it turns out that I can't smoke inside, well fuck it. We live in a society. Gotta abide by everyone's rules." Standing back up to his feet, Cameron let out a groan. "Whatever it is. We'll deal with it as it comes, yeah?" Cameron asked, turning his head over to Grey and cocking his neck to the side. "What kinda rich kids would we be if we just let other people walk over us for shit we didn't do?" Just because they didn't have the safety net which was their parents to fall back on, did not mean that they could not handle things for themselves.

"I'm gonna go back inside. Was gonna stay out here for a bit, but it ain't all it's cracked up to be."

Patting Grey on the shoulder, he opened the front door to the haven and walked back inside. As he did, he passed the hall way leading to the rooms - seeing Avery standing nearby a door. Eyes scanned her frame briefly as he walked on - in fact, Cameron narrowly avoided walking into part of the wall as he entered the kitchen because she held his attention for a moment too long. The vibe among the living area seemed pretty calm in comparison to Sarah's reaction upon walking out the door. Opening the fridge, Cameron searched for something alcoholic. He came up with a can of beer. Welp, better than nothing. Cameron leaned his back against the counter and popped the tab open.

"You just want some fresh air" Benji repeated knowing there was something going on. "Just putting a small solar panel out here for my equipment. It's back up power for the rest of the hideout too I guess" He said then looked around. "You can't hide the truth from me you know? Something's going on huh? I don't remember you being the one to chill out behind a rec center in the hood" Benji said. "I mean, you would have just opened a window in your room knowing you" He concluded.

Sarah couldn't help but smile from his words. Of course. Benji knew her. He was right- lying to a person that knew you was difficult. He had seen right through her words. Sarah let out a small sigh, and turned away. "It's just... I..." She bit her lip. She still didn't want to tell him, fearing he would get mad too. "Well to put it short, I already managed to piss off half the people in there..." She gestured to the door. Still turned away she grinned ruefully, and said bitterly, "It's one of my strongest talents. Pissing people off. Hurting people. I'm good at it."

"It's not a talent, Sarah. It's a habit. It can be fixed if you want it to" Benji said looking at Sarah. "What happened anyway? I just left to set up some stuff in the garage then when I went back people were just all . . . I don't know. It looked like something happened. I mean, it couldn't have been that bad right?" He questioned.

She sighed from Benji's first response and turned back to look at him. He wanted to know what happened, but Sarah didn't know if she could bring herself to tell him. She didn't let this vulnerable side show very often, and showing it right now made her feel insecure. If Benji found out what she said, would he hate her? Sarah wondered this inwardly. It's not like she initially started the argument. It was Tris's sarcasm that did it. However, Sarah was the one that crossed the line. Therefore, it was her fault. Focusing back on the present, Sarah looked away from Benji, "It was bad Benji. I mean, it's me we're talking about. I take things overboard and you know it."

"I get it . . ." Benji said trying to forget the fact that she simply couldn't just tell him the main punchline or action that apparently offended the people. "Let's go back in? We can go to my room if you want so people won't bug you there. It's getting pretty cold right now. Or I mean, I can help you get your stuff to your room if you still need help with that" He suggested to try and lighten the mood up by evading the topic in a slightly indirect manner.

(On my phone again sorry if it's short)

Sarah looked back at him and took a deep breath. She was hesitant about going back in. Once inside, she wouldn't show how she actually felt the whole matter. She'd put back on her confident face and push back the insecurities. That didn't change the fact that she honestly was nervous. Sarah didn't want people to be mad at her or hate her, but she brought it on herself. Finally she nodded, "Yeah sure. Let's go in. And I don't have a room right now. I don't know who to room with. So... Let's go to your room." She said while heading back towards the door, and trying to regain her composure before heading back inside.

"Sweet" Benji said opening the back door and seeing the set up in the garage. "Don't mind the mess. Do mind the new car though. Awesome right?" He asked waiting for Sarah to go inside.

Grey walked back into the hideout and gently rubbed one of his eyes before yawning. He groggily made his way to his room. The guy was awake for 23 hours. Grey didn't want to be a zombie the next day. He would rather wake up early than strain his already overworked self. The teen walked to his room, got changed, lied down on the bed, and immediately fell asleep.

Sarah walked inside and laughed softly, "Yes, very awesome car!" She grinned at Benji then looked around the garage, "It's pretty cool what you did here. Though I don't understand any of it." She laughed once more. "So to your room?" She asked, and began walking through garage and into their hideout.

Benji shut the back door behind them and smiled. "Ha thanks, Sarah" He said before nodding and leading the way to his room. The younger teen had no idea who he was rooming with either. Just two other random people. It was no big deal really. He just hoped that the people who he would share a room with would respect him and not bully him in some kind of way.

Sarah smiled and followed Benji to his room. She was nervous walking through the rooms to get there, but thankfully they ran into no one. Once inside she sat on the edge of the bed and looked around. "It's going to be weird waking up here, don't you think? I bet some of us are hoping it's all just one big nightmare." There was a sad smile on her face as she spoke.

"Don't be sad. Just wake up and look at something beautiful" Benji suggested then thought for a moment. "Wake up and look at the mirror" He said smiling. "Bet you'll remember the good things that come from this. We'll hang out more often, we don't have to go to school, and we learn really useful things" Benji said trying to lighten Sarah's mood up a bit.

Benji's first comment surprised Sarah. She blinked and looked at him flushing ever so slightly. She felt a smile grow across her face as he continued talking, "You have a good point Benji. Thank you." She looked away, then sprawled out across the bed, yawning softly. She closed her eyes and said quietly, "I'm glad you're here... You always make me feel better..." Then she turned to face the other way.

Benji raised his brows and smiled at Sarah's comment, "You're welcome". He bent down to unzip his bag then paused when he heard her say something quietly. The teen pulled out a few clothes and looked over at Sarah. She's turned around anyway. Benji rapidly changed his pants and got into some pajamas then switched his shirt for a fresh one. Done like a ninja. He thought to himself.
