Fantasy Red Hood Society

Ackara looked a bit disturbed by that, frowning at Marius. She knew this wasn't his usual behavior and it was starting to freak her out. "I don't know... Human meat is hard for them to chew, so maybe deer for now? I'll..." She trailed off, rather disgusted by this thought. "I'll help take her down... For you Mar, and so we can feed the rest of the packs."

But was this not right? It was such a shame that the girl still failed to see the right way, but Marius... Marius was bright. He knew that the answer to his qualms lied within this action. Asher's eyes darted across the rather tranquil scene, selecting a girl of about 45 sitting on the edge of the riverbank. "Now, Marius," Asher said, "the girl over there, with the red tunic and the white bonnet... she is your mother. And her son is..." Asher looked to the water, thinking which of them would be the best bet. He thought the tallest of the bunch would suffice. "The large boy with the grey tunic. Ackara, there are some others you may help to take down. The women further up the banks may help too. I shall keep watch."

As he felt more pride for Marius' envious drive to kill, he leaned in close to the male. "Remember, Marius, destiny is yours to choose. Show no mercy to the enemy, remember their mistreatment of you, and take revenge for your own." And surely he would, for the sooner he did, the quicker Asher would have his, on his sister. Oh how he could not wait for it.

"If you roast or boil it long enough it would soften well. But if deer is what you want for them to be safe we can arrange that. The pack can make use of the meat we gather today." He spoke softly as he hunkered down in the grass. His gaze firmly focused on the ones Asher had pointed out.
Now was his time to shine. Getting revenge, one step closer to proving himself to the Alpha. All in this one mission. He could not fail this. "I will kill the woman and change the boy. He looks very strong, will make a good wolf indeed. Follow my lead" Marius ordered softly, He began his approach to the village. Keeping his belly low to the ground and sticking to the darker patches of tall grass as he crept up towards the woman. He only waited for a moment as other villagers passed before striking.
Quick as lightning he leaped from his hiding spot. Fangs bared and aimed directly at the woman's throat.

"Um not entirely ma'am I was injured during the battle, and only recently was treated." He replied to her, trying his best to sound respectful. He was still fairly new and was getting used to how to address superior ranks. Many of the men stopped and looked, wondering what was going to happen to Tonson.

He looked around a bit, seeing as the men in a immediate vincinity were quieting down. He felt a sweat go down the back of his neck, though he managed to keep a smile and hide his nervousness.

Alas it was now time to attack. No more time could be set aside, for the humans were not as dumb as one might think. But Marius beat him to his command, what a fine wolf indeed. The woman could only let out a partial scream before she went silent. The crowd immediately went into an uproar as they scattered from the river, desperately trying to escape from fear. The kids, too young to fully understand what was about to happen, could only run as fast as they could. Asher watched this scene with the utmost satisfaction. And suddenly, just like that, the weak pup had become a strong adult. Asher would not partake in this attack, oh no, Marius earned this attack for his own.

A young man strode through the destroyed encampment with his head on a swivel. It was far worse than the reports had stated. No wonder they had sent him, his specialties would be perfect here. Not to mention the extra manpower as well. They could always use another higher tier fighter.
He wandered the camp until spotting the man written into the reports. Older, gruff and bit larger sturdy looking man. There appeared to be a young woman and young man around him as well. Must have been slightly higher ups as well to be so acquainted with him. Particularly the woman.
Sisceal cleared his throat as he approached and spoke in a soft, warm tone. "Excuse me. I hate to interrupt this...whatever you were doing or matter you were discussing but I was sent to treat the wounded, provide some defense and provide some higher fighting skills for your troops here er....Houndas? Hummus? Apologies, the report was written poorly and hastily."

Once the poor woman was torn to shreds Marius moved on to the next. His bloodlust yet to be sated, the young wolf tore through one after another as he shot through the crowd, regardless of age or whether they were man or woman. This was only revenge for everything pent up inside but more than needed. Eyes glowing red and fur matted down from the blood he then aimed for the young man next. The only one he was going to spare, for the most part at least.
This boy was going to make a fine wolf. There was no doubt Asher and the Alpha would praise him for this.

Surely Marius felt the rush of taking a life, of making the world more equal through destruction. The young boy, terrified as he saw the wolf looking right at him, bolted as fast as he could away. So filled with fear, his heart nearly erupted as tears streamed down his face. Asher watched the scene with a grin on his maw. He had managed to convince Marius that that indeed was his brother, and the poor human now dead was his birth mother. And now, they had an asset to use. But Asher lay in wait to see how Marius would handle the fleeing boy.

The odd fellow before Syl and him seemed rather nervous all of a sudden, as if he had no direction at all. Maybe he felt less powerful considering that he realized he no longer had any control in the situation. "Humility is a fickle thing, soldier. Give no words to your fellow soldiers if they are not but the truth. What's your name?" The man had an interesting aura, a somewhat familiar vibe. As if nobody else could seem abnormal, something about this one suggested a rather different persona than one that would be considered normal. He just hoped it wasn't some false king with superpowers, but perhaps one that knew what it meant to be a Hood.

Sylvia would narrow her eyes a moment, everything around her seemed to blur and start to spin. She shuts her eyes tightly and opens them, furiously blinking to try and focus herself. Pinching the bridge of her nose, the hunter would hold up a hand and wave the people conversing with them dismissively. "M-My apologies...Honus, you can...handle this yes?..." Sylvia's brow would furrow as she turns towards Honus, a look of confusion and annoyance on her face.

Not much time had passed between her question and Honus' reply, Sylvia would excuse herself from the conversations she was having and makes her way outside the Keep and into the forest. Perhaps she needed some fresh air, time to free her lungs from the smell of smoke and death.

All of a sudden, Syl grew quite uncomfortable and vanished into the scenery, leaving the commander alone with new characters to this terrible tale. The other Hood, so suddenly with confidence in his rhetoric that he forgot his own rank, seemed to be quite odd to the man. But, the arrival of a priest, when one hadn't been ordered by the new commander, made things quite tense. Honus was no believer in religion, not strongly at least. And the priests, how they were able to learn to read so easily and not him. "Honus," he said flatly and perhaps quite uncomfortably with the new arrival, "bless the dead and dying, is what I can tell you to do first. Hundreds of my brothers lost their lives, that shouldn't have in the first place. Free their souls, if that's what you do. At least confirm to the powers above that they didn't die for nothing. If there's anything you need, cleric, let me know and I'll pretend like I can provide it." What changed this personality? None can say for sure. But quite readily he was annoyed. And the way he looked at Syl... he'd had enough wandering eyes on her already. Surely a dirty priest would be of no concern.

In only a few strides Marius had caught up with the young man. Launching himself at the boy and pinning him to the ground. Fury burning in his eyes. "HE WILL PAY. HE WILL PAY FOR ALL HE'S DONE. STARTING WITH YOU, WHY DID YOU GET THE LOVE THAT I DESERVED MORE BASTARD." He roared as he tore into the boy's chest and neck. Only enough to make the changing quicker. Watching with glee as his body began to shift before his eyes. This. This would be the perfect in his revenge and Honus was next on his list. He was going to suffer more than anyone.

"You've done well in your mission Asher. Do you think this one is prepared?" The Alpha had been observing through the eyes of another wolf nearby and was so pleased with the sight of the carnage that he had to get the full report in person. "We will of course need more in our army as well if we are to truly stand a chance."

"Many apologies sir for getting that so wrong. Whoever wrote the report had the most atrocious handwriting." He chuckled. His eyes traveling to the woman as she walked away. Looking her up and down with quite a bit of interest in his eye. Poor dear didn't look like she was too well. Maybe he could personally tend to that later. "That will be no problem Honus sir. And if you have any sick or injured I can do that as well. I am very good with my hands...Although pending on how many there are in this encampment that could prove an exhausting task. I am still honing my skills as a healer." He stared Honus dead in the eye. His expression unwavering. There were stories of this commander but he never expected it to be quite this...challenging. "What I will need is your cooperation Commander Honus. Gather the dead in one area and I shall send their souls on honorably and ensure the ground they are laid to rest in is hallowed. And on your word I will either do one at a time or bless them all at once. All of my skills are fully at your disposal and I would think it wise in your situation to not dismiss it so quickly. As you seem to have done with several just recently." He raised an eyebrow at the man. It was bad enough he walked past one fuming man already but to then get such cold treatment. Was this really the legend he'd heard stories of?

He didn't like the priest, not his style, nor the way he looked at the female soldiers that walked by or even how he talked to Honus a man he looked up to. "You say you wish for cooperation at yet your eyes wander full of desire. As if you were a young boy whose loins yearned. Though the worst part is you do this under the guise of a priest so please I ask why should he not dismiss you?" Tonson growled at the priest.

"That will be enough, Tonson," the commander barked, "treat the man with respect. A man of the cloth can be very persuasive in removing funding. And may I add that you are no officer? I could make you clean the barracks if you speak out of command again, kid," and with that, Honus turned back towards the priest. He truly did agree with Tonson on that one, but Honus was a leader, and he had to maintain the appearance of respect. "Now, priest, I don't know what province you are from, but if you are accusing me of poor leadership, I would gladly show your superiors of your poor misconduct. So if you would like cooperation, I expect at least a hint of respect. Oh, and Sylvia Aldrich is the other lead commander of this outpost. She ran off, unfortunately, and many of the dead have been put into graves, unburied until you bless each and every one. I would also not dare to stack my dead as if they were a house of cards. So please, I should show you to them so you can conduct your business." And with that, Honus walked off. His respect for Tonson indeed increased in that moment, for defending his commander. He just didn't have a good way of showing it yet.

Asher's smile grew large as he saw Marius turn the villagers. He was doing quite well, unbeliavable at that. And surely, the alpha felt pleased as well. The son would have vengeance on his father indeed. And truly it would be a glorious day to see the man named Honus fall, and with that, Sylvia as well. But one step at a time, one death at a time. As the villagers turned into their ultimate form, Asher was overjoyed. Asher then took the time to address the alpha. "Oh alpha, most certainly he is ready. His anger is so pure, it is energizing. I recommend most humbly we create our numbers twice as large as before, and wipe the Hoods out once and for all. They are weak, they are unwilling, and dear alpha, they will fall under your lead. Honus will live no more, neither will Sylvia nor any of the humans!"

"I would assume that would be because you desperately need a healer here soldier. And some extra muscle seeing as your numbers were decimated by the wolves recently and resources are stretched thin as it is. A little appreciation for the sacrifice would be nice." He shot back at the man.He didn't appreciate the attitude one bit. And definitely not the accusations of someone who barely knew him. Sure he didn't exactly ask to be assigned here but he came without bickering or protest about it, out loud. Shooting the commander a cold glare Sisceal turned back to Honus. A lighter expression dawning on his face. So Sylvia was her name huh? He wasn't going to mention in front of them but how beautiful. However,...it was odd how quickly Honus was to point out her rank and how brash his tone was about it. Probably for the best to keep any flirtatious behavior to a minimum around her. To avoid any confrontation from either of them.
"Oh no no no. There is no need to do such thing Sir. I was simply making my position in this arrangement clear for all parties. Standard procedure " He bowed his head politely. "And I would not dare ask you to stack your dead so disrespectfully. I was simply asking to know if there was any rush in burying them. If there was I could have the entire burial ground blessed at once. With each soldier buried in their own respective grave of course. I have others to heal and that will take a while pending on the level of injury. Superficial and more minor wounds will be no problem. but the more grave ones I can only do a few of every other day. So if you would please show the way so I can begin immediately Commander Sir."

So many eyes upon her, why did everyone seem to stare at her? Honus, the priest, it felt lile every pair of eyes in the camp were on her. Then again in this line of work, the majority of Hoods were male. With some time spent away from the agony and death in the Keep, Aldrich makes her way within the confines of the depressing stone fort. Eyes were still on her, but her miniature getaway made her feel less paranoid – and less cranky hopefully.

From afar she could see that the soldier from earlier and Honus had sour looks on their faces, she could tell they did not like this priest. She rejoins the group, her presence obvious but her mouth still remains shut. "We're glad to have you, Gods know the men need a holy man to ease their troubled minds and broken bodies." Sylvia would offer a forced but sincere smile at the priest.

"I apologize for my...Well...It was not my intention to be rude." she addressed the soldier and the priest. There was some tension in the air, most directed at the priest. Had she missed something? "I'm Sylvia Aldrich...er well Commander Aldrich I guess..." the new title it was going to take some getting used to.

Tonson held his tongue now, feeling a bit bitter that even after he defended his commander he was just reprimanded. Though he guessed such things were necessary, he couldn't allow his men to do as they pleased. As Sylvia came back, Tonson couldn't help but feel that this situation was either going to calm down, or get a lot worse. This priest still seemed slimy to Tonson, and from what Tonson could tell he wouldn't stop looking at her.

"Hey calm down...this isn't your battle." The demon spoke to him softly. Tonson soon let out a soft sigh, "Your right...but such a man shouldn't even be allowed to wear such robes." He replied within his own mind.

"They are all a bunch of hypocrites.....they speak of a divine power and yet are so corrupt. So don't hold such positions to a high standard." The demon replied back. Tonson once again agreed and decided to watch the event unfold in front of him.

Honus too had his eyes on the new priest. His attitude, his demeanor, the commander had absolutely no desire for any sort of companionship with the man. But he'd be damned if he were at all sending Syl alone to converse with this disgusting human being. Perhaps Tonson might be of some worth. He had the mouth, perhaps he had the style as well. "Tonson," Honus spoke, "see to it that this newcomer reaches the dead and can conduct his business. Make sure he does his duty, and when he is finished, report back to me that he has done so. I trust that you are more than able to handle this job for me, aren't you?" It was unusual for Honus to ever delegate a very trusting task in a subordinate, but the male did not trust the priest at all. Something about his false face, it disturbed him deeply. And perhaps he'd best keep Syl safe, for in a world of so very few laws, anything was possible.

"Syl, I wonder if you'd be up for a discussion on strategy. I fear that danger is afoot. Though, if you want to run off into the forest again..." It was a poorly put attempt of a joke, but at least he tried.

"It is quite alright Commander, it's understandable with how much stress you've all been under of late. I am here to ease some of that and lift spirits. Your dead and wounded are in good hands." He offered her a bow of respect. His eyes widening as he caught Honus's next commands. "Ah, I don't mean to be rude Sir but...I do not need to be baby sat. Just lead me to the ones that need tended to first and the job shall be done. I know I am the newest here but that is no reason for so little trust. I swear by the Gods that I can and will do my job properly. You've got to believe me, there is nothing to fear." He stated sternly. "I shall be off now to do my duties and will report when I am finished. Regardless of who you have shadow me. In the meantime, why not take an offering of peace and trust?" He removed a small satchel from his belt and tossed it to them. "Ginseng. Quite exotic and hard to get around here. Very expensive. Brew it into tea and it will help with relaxation, focus and healing. I'm sure you'll need it." More that may need it. At least for Honus and this Tonson guy. Although not even all of the relaxants in the world could fix that much of a stiff.

"Excellent. The perfect breed of anger I require." He chuckled. Watching the bloodshed with a wide smile on his face. "I agree. As soon as the ones here are fully changed take them to the next town, then the next and the next. The bigger our numbers the more we shall be able to turn in one attack. We will build an army the likes of which they have never seen and take them out in one fell swoop. It will be glorious."
