Fantasy Red Hood Society

"For a moment all I could think of when I saw you and that name was comrade, commander, but...that cannot be right. I used to be one of you but I don't think I was a Hood." he rubbed the side of his head. His confused gaze to Honus unchanging. "I've attacked no-one...at least none here. We caused no fight and couldn't even if we wished to. In my sad state and pack mate burdened with pups it would be most idiotic..even the young healthy one could not start this." he bowed his head as the man walked past. "Honus...How was a disgusting, revenge filled man like you allowed to stay in the Red Hoods."

Lucius who had been thrown to the side by the beasts attack pushed himself to his feet now. His body ached and his head pounded from the sudden force that had come to it. Using his spear to steady himself he regained his composure and he looked around himself. Honus had left him. The girl was no where to be seen. "God damnit Honus you snake." He hissed speaking to hinself and he looked around. There were wounded trying to nurse eachother back to help and it seemed he was the only one fighting the beast. He didnt know why but even though sone of them werent human or hoods he felt the need to buy them time. Whether this was his kind heart or some stupid sense of duty he didnt care. He helled to the beast "Hey! Ugly! You running from me already?!" He taunted the beast as he prepared himself. He smiled under his helmet. The thrill of battle always got to him, even though his fellow hoods seemed to have abandoned him he was going to do his best to distract the beast. Even if the snake Honus had left him like a coward

Red, upon seeing the huntress taken off, thickened the smoke around the hunter carrying them, an illusion to everyone else but Honus who would be able to see quite well. She hoped to encourage them away from the site of danger. Her shadowed form still curled darkness in wisps. Maybe, just maybe, she thought, it would be more advantageous to be thought a witch. Those Hoods interested the being and something in her wanted them to be safe. She stepped onto the path through the smoke in full sight of the hunter, now a simple white wolf. Her crystal blue gaze was not one of a challenge, but of guidance. A hunter to a hunter. Guidance to a place the huntress in his arms could be safe...

The dog's words hurt him deeply, even though they were only that. Sylvia seemed nearly lifeless in his arms. Is this what terrible looked like? "So are you just buying time then? How do you even know my name? Have you convinced yourself that I will be the cause of your death?" Of course someone else had to interrupt their conversation, as a white wolf appeared before him. It surely seemed that it wanted something, attention as well, but the way its blue eyes lit up seemed calming. Even though it was a damned dog, and as he was a Hood how could he possibly trust it? "True or not, the Marius I knew died a long time ago. You're not him, you're just a shell of what he once was." The man didn't like his own options at the moment.

Red blinked twice, bowing her head to the hunter, her demeanor entirely different from the fight earlier where everything was fast and flashing. That was in the background for her now. The being turned away, respecting if he'd wanted to finish that heated conversation. If he wanted to, when he was ready, he could follow and she would guide. Something in Red twinged, the alien feeling of serenity and control. For a few moments, her starvation and desperation fell away and she looked out to the woods beyond passively. When... how long had it been since she felt like this...? In control... offering help... It felt strange, different, wrong, so wrong for me. She shook her head and snapped out of it, her gaze into the trees hardening. This is ultimately for my personal gain. I will help, for now. This is my game. If it's not right now, I will steal it away and make it mine.

But the serenity was still there, and a little pride that here she was offering help. At the very least, no one could accuse her of not trying.

Ackara ducked away from the beast, rushing back to Marius' side. "Marr, we need to-" She froze, noticing Honus. Her head throbbed for a moment, a faint memory or dream surfacing. They had all been walking, not a wolf, but a hunter... That couldn't be right, she wasn't a hunter, she couldn't remember. It wasn't good being around here for them. "Marr, we really need to go..."

She regains a form of consciousness – a state similar to when one is asleep but slightly aware. Muffled voices spoke around her, two to be specific...and then her body would be lifted. A deep familiar voice murmurs something aloud and whisks her away from the chaos within the forest, the sounds of fighting muted as her mind swims in the darkness between states.

Her hearing returns and her eyes begin to move under her eyelids, a faint groan escaping her lips. "Honus..." she murmurs in a hoarse whisper, she didn't need to open her eyes to recognize the older hunter – the man that saved her and treated her like a father when her own was gone. She heard a sdcond voice and then a name, Marius. She knew the name but nothing of the person and had she been able to stand, she would have drawn her blades the second his name was uttered. Whoever this Marius was before he turned seemed to be of some importance to Honus. Another groan comes from her, this time her body shifts a bit in his arms. Sylvia's head was pounding and everything was disoriented, even with her eyes closed.

The man suddenly became distracted by the approaching female, who looked rather weight-bearing. The way that she called him Marr, something so very odd indeed. Maybe he really was the one Hood who was foolish enough to be bitten. "And even then, as you mock him in name-" he couldn't finish his words properly, as he was disturbed by Syl's sudden awakening. "She's hurt bad, and she is all I care about. Not about having your kind survive or be made into a rug. I offered you generous terms to live out your night, and even though you betrayed me by siccing your dumb pup on me while my back was turned, like the coward you are, I offer my terms again." The man turned to the other dog that seemed intent on helping him, based on what it seemed to say. But Honus knew better than to trust Greeks bearing gifts. Ignoring the obvious path in the forest, as much as he wanted to, the man decided there was only one place left to go. Harken's house.

Red glances over her shoulder back at the hunter and the woman in his arms. She blinks a few times as the huntress stirs, glancing about again. The smoke obscuring the three from the world is thinning and with a long sigh, the being renews it swirling around the three. She keeps the path to herself and the forest beyond free of the illusion, then huffs and lets it blow past, blocking their view of her for a few moments. In that time, there's a flutter of wings as she shifts from the wolf into a flock of ravens, then back into something perhaps less threatening. When the smoke on the path clears once more, a white fox stands where she'd been. The being's gaze is still blue, still calm through the swirling illusion.

And the man turned away! Damnit! She took a few bounds forward, then stopped short to think for a few moments. Damn mortals being so confusing. They never like things easy, do they? Red nodded and kept going, eventually catching up to him at a few paces back. The smoke illusion in the clearing disappeared when she left.

The way the hunter looked at the injured woman struck her as odd at first, then she remembered humans' notion of family. They... cared for each other. A completely irrational idea to the demoness: caring, being cared for. And there was that damned calm again as she walked along behind the hunter. She wondered if he was calm too. She wondered what he thought of her, the shifting beast of questionable affiliations. She'd appeared as a wolf to a hunter, first mistake. But she fought the wendigo alongside someone he seemed to care for... She didn't side with the beast. Was that any points for her? Was the old man to protect the woman on his own? Did he really not want any help? It wouldn't be the first time, Red reflected, being unneeded and and unwanted. That was one reason she was so hungry all the time: for having lived so long, she could never read a situation just right.

You could say today wasn't a good day for the white haired hunter. Her blue eyes dull as she wrapped her shoulder in bandages. The werewolf she was hunting got to her, letting its claws sink into the delicate skin of her shoulder. Anger raged through the woman as she thought about the attack. She had him. In her sights, she had him. How he got the jump on her, she didn't know. Once her wound was wrapped and the bandage secured she tied the cloth of her top together, picking up her weapon. She let the chain hang on the small hook that was attached to her belt before picking up her bag and slinging it onto her good shoulder. Earlier she had herd fighting and shouting in the distance. Maybe it was her werewolf? She didn't know but she did plan on finding out what was going on. Her legs carried her to a tree with a low branch. She hopped up on the branch and sat down, watching the seen unfold in front of her. A man and a beast fought. It wasn't her werewolf but she was intrigued.

Felix Lee Carter

It took Felix all his strength to attack the woman and take off, looking for safety. He ran for what seemed like an hour before coming up on a little cabin with clothing hanging from a line. He ran by, taking a pair of pants between his teeth before he kept going. Not long after he changed, slipping the pants on, mumbling as he brushed at a wet spot on the leg. "Damn wolf" he mumbled to himself, not that anyone would hear them man. His eyes searched the area, looking for any signs of danger. When none came he sat down, letting out a breath of relief. He finally had time to rest. This hunter was persistent. She didn't give up like the others. Her only flaw was her hair. You would see her from a mile away with her head of white hair.

Lucius had just finished taunting the beast when he noticed a movement in the trees, a flash of white and his head pivoted to look towards whatever it was. He searched the trees with his eyes for a moment before he spotted the source. A girl, sitting in the tree on a low branch. He looked back to the beast and sighed. Everyone had seemed to make it out but he couldn't let this beast roam free. If it recovered it could easily strike again. He yelled to it again "Well!? Come on ugly! Come get some!" He spit in its direction

Lucius was tempted to follow but he wouldnt be fast enough to catch up. He sighed and looked to the girl in the tree, she intrigued him, he looked around himself and quickly darted over to her tree. he didnt climb it but he said in a semi hushed voice "You need to leave. If that thing comes back it will kill you."

"I can't explain it, but I remember your name. Somehow...You and....someone named Sheridan and Kiowa. The names carry so much weight on my heart and I can't even remember why." A deep frown creased his face. "I am a shell of my former self since our memories were taken by the vile witch. I see brief flashes of things, like they are a dream. Something we can't quite tell are reality or not. Such as a wall of names and your name and do you have a son who admires the Hoods and some sort of purple flowers?" He moved closer to Ackara as she appeared again. "We will go soon...do not worry. Maybe we could even follow him to the witch's house for help."

Ackara growled softly, keeping her head down. "Are you sure we should be going to a witch? They stole our memories! Your's worse than mine! Who knows what they might do to our pups?!" She whisper shouted, looking very distressed as she held her stomach. "They could be due in as little as a couple weeks Marr! I-I don't want to risk it..."

It seemed so very convincing to the human to hear those names spoken to him. For the first time in his life, he defied his own orders. "So it is true," Honus said under his breath, "that the human that once lived survives. It wasn't any witch that corrupted you, you've been sick for a long time. There's no saving.... things like you." What were those orders exactly that he intently disobeyed? There was no belief in his own words, as if they were not even his own. "You were a Hood once, Marius. You swore an oath, as you turned, to not let this disease consume you, and you failed. Goodbye," and with those final words, the male suddenly recalling everything, he at last made his way to the witch's house, not looking back as he fought back emotions. He had someone else he cared more about, but the dogs could always follow them take shelter in the home without anyone noticing.

Red stepped along, eventually falling in beside the hunter and his ward. Every so often, she would glance back to see if any of them had followed. To further protect them, as her paws hit the ground, a plume of illusion smoke went up behind them, flooding the pathway in a burst of darkness. So old sentiments still flow beneath the surface in these humans. She learned something important: The one with pups was desperate to protect her will-be children and is close to giving birth... Secondly, this hunter has been in the game a while. He was friends with the one now a wolf... No wonder he didn't follow her as the white wolf. You think animals don't pay attention? But Red would continue to help them, keeping a watchful eye on the path behind in case anyone arose through the illusion. The huntress in Honus's arms still interested her as well. Mortals in general. So complicated, never boring. She didn't change form as she strode beside him, keeping the image of a small white fox with her crystal blue eyes.

Ryann looked down at the man that stood at the base of the tree. A smile pulled at her lips as she pushed herself up and dropped from the low branch. She hissed when she landed, grabbing her shoulder. Ryann pulled her hand away and straightened her back. She looked at the man. "I'll be fine." She turned and looked toward where the beast ran. "Aren't you going after it?" She looked at him again. Excitement in her eyes. Her fingers played with the chain of her weapon. "Or you can sit here and let the beast take its anger out on others?" Ryann gave him a toothy grin.

Lucius sighed and he peered at her from the slits in his helmet. "I would pursue if I had backup. Right now everyone has gotten away and should be safe." He said as he looked to the part of the forest the beast had run to then back to the girl "I'm not going to let that beast hurt my comrades but, in all fairness my comrades turned tail and left me to fight i alone." He said from under the helmet. The scratch from the beasts claws over the roght slit adding to the menacing look of his helmet.

Ryann looked at the man and raised an eyebrow before flicking the jaw area of the mans helmet. "Then lets go!" Ryann began to walk toward the way the beast ran off. She pulled her hair up and tied it back with a piece of leather. Her hand moved to the chain of her weapon pulling it off its small hook, grabbing the handle, and letting it drag behind her. She stopped in her tracks and turned toward the man "Unless you want to find your 'comrades' first?" She made air quotations with her fingers at the word comrades.

Lucius followed her his spear in his hand as he walked with her. The girl then stopped and turned towards him and spoke to him. He was annoyed woth her mockery of the word comrades. They were hoods, just like him, which made them comrades. "No, we will hunt the beast. Now whats your problem with my comrades."
Ember Spark Ember Spark

Ryann gave the man a sweet smile before walking again. "What 'comrades, would leave a fellow soldier in battle?" She looked at him, her fingers with her free hand playing with her snow white hair. Ryann didn't want to offend the man but who would do that? She let out a chuckle. "Where I'm from you don't leave your fellow soldiers, even if that means fighting till the death." She licked her lips then sighed. "My name is Ryann. I hunt beasts. Not like the one you were fighting, but wolves."

Lucius looked away when she brought up how they left him. Although they barely knew eachother Lucius was a well known member of the hoods and he was hurt by how they ran off. "One of them was injured, he had to take her away or she could have died....." he said in defeat. Truthfully they could have killed the beast then left with the girl. "I'm Lucius.....I'm of the Red Hood." He said as he kept walking following the trail of the beast

Ryann scoffed. "Don't defend them! They left you. And now a stranger is helping you hunt down a beast that should have already been taken care of." She winced a the Red Hood name. "I know about Red Hood." she said through gritted teeth. "Never got along with them. Although I am one." She gripped the handle of her weapon as she lowered to the ground and touched the prints in the dirt. "Seems like we are on the right track."

Lucius sighed and nodded. He knew he shouldnt care but he did. He then heard what she said about the Red Hood and he agai sighed "I dont really talk to anyone in the organization. Never have really. I usually do things solo." He said as he looked to the tracks and pointed ahead "They lead that way."
