Nation Building Rebirth of Tyrium

Kingdom many arrows feels threatened by thelgrims power and would likely agree to give them.food. My kingdom is a bit of a trade nation btw cookie

@Bobisdead123 Difference is, your nation specialises in human sacrifices and large hoard attacks while mine specialises in trade and naval conflict. Which is really a wasted investment since no one else seems to share the desire to own a navy..

Yep. But hey, if someone claims Maymunlar and is hostile, you are protected. My advice for you if you are a trade nation is to actually become an asset to every nation, and act nice. Don't secretly put bombs in enemy cities, or scheme, or try to start wars, because trade nations always lose wars.

Cookie, is it public knowledge that your nation has goblin slaves?

As in Obould would know

@Rand This is where trade is the Commonwealths driving factor for being concerned with you. You currently, realising it or not, offer them one of the largest contracts going. Your location means that you have to buy some sort of food and the Commonwealth is happy to provide it. If you were to expand they'd not only lose a contract but lose a large sum of money.
The hillmen are just savages which don't seem the least bit organised for the Commonwealth to fear. The orcs, though a major concern in their numbers seem to lack the most basic of military tactics and Kygar is also a nation of trade that doesn't seem to want to use its army for war so much as self defence.
So you really care about trade but not about the murderous races who populate the mountain range which splits Tyrium in half?

@dieutain You mean the orcs?
Orcs, Hillmen, seriously you don't care about it?

@dieutain The hillmen, no offence, are the weakest of the nations. They lack trade power, technology, numbers, organisation.. The orcs have large numbers which are concerning but they also seem to lack organisation. We don't have any massive contracts with them anyway so there's not much to lose with them other than land. Our people are more concerned with money more so than people.

At least we have trade influence and technology.

And honestly. The hillmen are so far away from the Commonwealth that they don't offer any sort of threat. They'd need to travel across Kygar with an army to enter the Commonwealth and that would give us more than enough time to prepare the blossoms and set traps.

@Bobisdead123 They're not openly called slaves but it is common knowledge they're the labour force. Anyone who saw how they're flogged by the Arachni-similis on a daily basis would be able to put two and two together though.

That doesn't answer my question why are you more scared of Thelgrim than the giant amount of orcs

@dieutain Without Thelgrim, we have no major contracts. No major contracts means a lot less money. A lot less money means a cut to our only form of power and in turn leaves us a nice, juicy target. We can't buy anyone to fight for us nor could we successfully purchase arms to fight for ourselves.

@Bobisdead123 I apparently meta game because politicians can hypothesis doomsday scenarios and because guardsmen don't want to be eaten by dragons.. GG. Your goblin won't be able to enter any actual cities but he will successfully be able to infiltrate the outlier cities. Just don't expect him to manage an escape once in because the spiderlings are complete assholes and like to eat their workers. They come from lore I worked on for a different game type scenario where they enjoy hunting goblins. Most goblins there have a mucus that renders them immune to magic and webs.

@Cookie the Brave me and @dieutain are probably gunna be allies so... We will be a threat

@dieutain start posting
Also trade is kind of useless... I mean who is gonna try and trade with the people who live entirely in hard to traverse mountains.

@dieutain Actually.. Your people would be one of the most wanted trade pieces for the Commonwealth if you were unified together as a proper nation. Living in the mountains means you're likely to have a hardy people and hardier live stock. More specifically, work horses. Your people wouldn't get many trade offers or have a very successful mining segment. This means that even poor quality trades are more likely to be accepted than the same deal offered to a bigger, more renowned nation.

that means they won't have horses, unless they like to eat thrm

and I was jk lol, besides, only sending him to check on goins

@Bobisdead123 Since s/he's likely to be a somewhat knowledgeable spy. I'd advise him/her to mention nothing about Gruumsch and write home rather than trying to slip away in the dead of night. Spiderlings are notoriously nocturnal and only a handful are active during the day.

Most of their food comes from a giant cave system that runs through the mountains, so I don't really know what you could do with that since the Hillmen are pretty much the only thing that actually lives on the mountains and therefore have the immense strength.

@dieutain Your people are hardy individuals and you wonder what use we'd have for them. It's that exact reason that we had Simians in the Royal Guard.

how does a slave write home lol. He is a 20 stealth spy so he shouldn't have a problem spying on the work force

*I invade the common wealth*

*everyone declares war on me*

@Bobisdead123 Remember the area has man eating plants and large insects that eat non-insectoids. Arachni-similis also set up webs around the area to snare meals since most of them prefer to eat live food. Writing is a skill few of the Arachni-similis posses which is why I recommended it. They'd be unable to read it so if he came up with some terrible excuse or story they'd likely buy it and let the letter go.

Also! Arachni-similis are female in majority with 1 male in every 70. In case you want to do a post that involves him peering in on the Spiderling settlement and the goblin cages.

Bobisfancy? Where the !@#$ did I get 'fancy' from!?
