dante slowly made his way into the room seeing a few people he had not met yet. he decided to go and greet them but what would he say...or more like write? as he thought about this he continued walking and accidentally bumped into Aaron. his original plan of greeting had now gone down the drain.

Aaron laughs "watch where you're walking buddy" he notices the man looks startled "don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm pretty gentle unless you annoy me" he smiles and pats Dante on the back

'I don't think we were made to represent humanity at all, we were made to try and salvage what remnants of it there are. We're different from the Ghouls in the way that we--... most of us would prefer to help than kill. I'm unsure about the rest of Weave, but I know that about myself. I also know that I had to technically give up the standing of human for causes I deemed humane. To keep what was human about me that way, I mean. Vicious little cycle, isn't it?'


During the entire time she spoke, Leah's eyes weren't focused on anything in particular... she was staring past the people she was speaking to, her head tilted vaguely to the side as if she were thinking with a blank mind. She was trying not to see the various swords and knives that occupied the room. Suddenly, her eyes shut themselves and she shook her head sharply a few times, waving her hand as if to disregard her words. She punctuated with a shrug.


'Doesn't matter though, it's all relative. I'm sure no two people accepted threads for the same reason.'

Reira laughed and shook her head. "Then let's be friends!" She said and hugged her arm around Chisaki's neck, pulling her closer. "Or more like be our friend." She added.

Goodrich had closed his eyes underneath the visor, his hand unclenching and his breath returning to normal. When he opened his eyes, he saw that the nurse had run to the Weaver.


He wishes to say something, to tell them to 'bleed their heart out'. He did not mean to make himself out to be superior. He was surrounded by people, strange people, who used a power much more powerful than his military training. He was afraid. He had been so carelessly attacked, and having the 'white knight' attempt to condemn Stephen's frustration and even confront him aggressively when it is obvious that he should have every right to be upset was too much.


They were just kids after all. These people had no concept of what it was like to be in actual combat. They were all rookies. They wouldn't understand that there is an etiquette to training, and even though a peer may get upset and say racist remarks, it is still an equal part of the victim to not return the aggression to escalate the situation.


He scoffed softly and realized again, they were too young. He should have expected it.


Just as silent as he first was when he entered the base, he left the training room with his prosthetic in the care of Chris. He hoped that it would be returned soon enough.

Aaron shrugs "beats me honestly Dante, someone once promised to be my friend and then 5 minutes later I was stabbed and beaten by them" his hand instictively touches his side "a friend is someone who is there for you when you need it, someone who stays with you through thick and thin. You're loyal to them and they are loyal to you" he tears up slightly "I never had a friend though"

Goodrich was already halfway out the door when he was confronted. Upon hearing the words, his head dipped slightly as he thought before he returned to his confident stance.


Even after all this time, he refused to show his face.


"I appreciate the thought. Thank you."


He gave a small nod to the much smaller girl, his hand going out to pat her head once.


"I'm a little shooken up. I got mad outside of what I should have been, when I shouldn't be so... Weak."


His head turned back out the door.


"I'll be at the canteen."


And just like that--he left.

Reira watched Goodrich leave and giggled. "He's one funny guy." She said to Chisaki who was of the complete opposite opinion. Well Reira couldn't dislike pretty much anyone. Both of them walked back to Aaron and Chisaki, who was still very shy had started to open up to him, standing behind Reira, looking over her shoulder rather than hiding behind her back.

dante wrote another note 'i guess were kinda the same'. dante ,having spent the majority of his life as an experimental test subject, was never aloud out of the lab. so it was true that he had never had a friend.

Aaron looks at Dante and puts his arm around him "then it's settled, we're friends. I swear to fight for you guys even it means death" he laughs and pulls his hood down, his auburn hair falling over his eyes

Reira laughed. "That's the spirit!" She exclaimed and held her thumbs up.

Aaron laughs again "Now seriously, where's the pizza?" His stomach grumbles

"Okay. Let's go to the canteen and see if there is any. If not, then I could check if I can make some." Reira said with a grin and grabbed both Aaron's and Chisaki's hands. She pulled the two after her as she quickly walked towards the canteen.

Aaron is dragged by Reira and quickly matches her pace "You must really like sushi" he laughs and looks at Chisaki "don't worry, you'll warm up to me soon enough"

It was at this point that Stephen was already in the canteen. It was the middle of the afternoon, thus, the canteen was empty after the lunch commuters had already left to their stations. However, alone, in the presence of a few empty chairs, was an older man. The man was hunched over the table, his helmet on the table, and his arm lifted up to his mouth holding a cigarette. The smoke had trailed up toward the ceiling, and while he was preoccupied with smoking, he did not notice the group of kids enter the canteen.


He remained where he was, arm-less and all, smoking and enjoying the silence of an empty dinner room.

Both Chisaki and Reira nodded to his statements about them, though Chisaki blushed and looked away from Aaron.

Aaron smiles "It'll take time" he pulls out an earphone from his pocket and puts it in his ear and starts quietly singing along to his music

Chris looked at the arm was given. "Well guess I gotta add this to my list of things." Chris said as he rubs his head. "Hey you over there in the corner lets go get something to eat my treat I suppose." He said with a smile. "You can come to if you want Cam"

Reira giggled as she heard Aaron sing. She bursted through the door to the canteen and straight to the kitchen. She saw nothing around her, consentrated on the food.
