He lets out hurried laugh before he catches his breath, "Well, don't be shocked when you see how sucky the food is here."

Aaron sighs "lead the way, even if the food is sucky we gotta eat" he uses threads to turn his fingers into blades "I'm getting the hang of this, now lead the way"

"Alright." He gestures towards the doorways and walks through. He turns left and stares at the line of doors, "I think it's somewhere along here." He murmurs as he continues to walk.

Aaron follows and starts whistling to himself "I hope there's pizza at this place" he scratches his head and puts his hands in his pockets, threads are coming out of his back and waving around

"Okay, here it is." He says as they approach double doors. He pushes them open and is greeted with a completely empty cafe. "Heh, well it's either closed or literally no one eats here."

Aaron looks around and laughs "guess the yelp reviews aren't that good" the threads carry on waving about, forming into different shapes. Aaron smells the air "God it smells like shit in here"

At this point, Stephen was seething and boiling over. If it weren't for the helmet, they could see his skin crawl and simmer. When the boy made the G.I. Joe remark, he frustratingly clenched his fist. He was just attacked! A 'member' of their own organization just inteded to kill him over training. How did they not understand? Then it hit him. As the two boys left the room, he exploded.


"Yeah!! So?? I fight for humanity, I gave my life and limbs for the cause! Who are you to judge me when you aren't even human!! You are freaks of nature!! A mistake, ya hear me?! You don't even understand what it means to be mortal and give up everything so the world can be free of abominations like you!!"


He tossed his tactical knife at the floor, the metal clanging against it.


"Mistakes, ya hear me!! Threads, Reapers, Weavers--you are no better than them! How can you represent humanity when you are not human!!"


The door slammed as they left to the cafe and Stephen stood alone. He was surrounded by the 'mistakes'. He had to work with them, and now, in his rage, had said many things he knew that he would regret. He looked at Leah, then at the two nurses, and sighed through his teeth.


His voice seemed shadowed by his shouting voice as he spoke.


"They... He..."

"I'm sorry you had to hear that."

Aaron's ears perk up and he grits his teeth "Gimme a second, G.I. Joe seems to be calling us" Aaron walks back to the training room, his anger causing his threads to burst out of his back, he kicks the doors open and gets face to face with Goodrich "We may be hybrids but we're not freaks! We're weavers so that we can fight those creatures! If yoi want to insult me, at least do it to my face G.I. Joe" Aaron's eyes flash blood red and his threads become sharp whips, slashing the air around him

"My army is already assembled. These are the failed project hybrid experiments." Aura said.

 

[SSgt Goodrich]

Goodrich audibly scoffed, his visor staring deep and blue into Aaron's eyes. He did not flinch, nor did he raise his voice.


"Look at yourself, freak. Threads, blood shot eyes--you are disgusting."


He lifted his only arm, waving his hand dismissively.


"Go ahead and hit me. It would only prove that you are nothing but a. dumb. animal."

Aaron grits his teeth "You're just like the people from the slums. Yes you're tougher and more experienced but it doesn't make you superior. Yes we aren't fully human anymore but we're more equipped to deal with the reapers and defend ourselves!" As he says this the threads point to Goodrich "if you call any of us freaks again I will hurt you." Aaron clenches his fists and they morph into reaper claws. He cracks his neck and stands still, not intimidated by Goodrich at all

"Enough out of both of you I don't care if you are missing an arm or a freak of nature what matter is if you can fight what's out there killing the people who can't defend themselves." Chris stomped his foot on the ground " and if both of you can't understand that simple fact and work together then why are you here"

Aaron sighs, his threads slowly receding, as they do he looks at Chris "I don't like people who think they're better than others" Aaron throws a kunai that hits Goodrich's prosthetic arm. "I mean it though, I won't hold back if you try to act superior to us again" Aaron leans against the wall and takes a deep breath, his hands still reaper claws

Goodrich's eyes followed the kunai striking his prosthetic, his fist clenching as his limb was damaged more. He looks at the man who threw the spear and growled lowely.


"Maybe we shouldn't have kids as the forefront of genetic research and the bastions of mankind. One of your own nearly killed me over training, and now this kid doesn't even have the discipline to keep his hands to himself. He just damaged, for one--my property, and for two--property I expect to be fixed ASAP."


He snatched the prosthetic from the nurse's hands and shoves it into Chris' chest.


"Back at my old outpost, we'd send both offenders into the snow to die. Alone. These kids need to get their act together."

Aaron laughs "I was raised in the slums, I've survived the cold, snowy blizzards of winter. I've survived famine and droughts and I've survived beatings so if you think you can kill me, try it. I'm no child, I just don't like being insulted" Aaron looks at the limb "That limb can be fixed easily by the way. I could reinforce the inside with some lightweight titanium, it's easy enough to find" Aaron shrugs "or would being helped by a freak like me be too insulting to someone of your 'genetic greatness'?" Aaron bows to mock Goodrich

Chris then slapped Aaron "Stop this is the last warning you will get from me before I have to get your squad leader involved" Chris then looked over at Cam "Nothing just trying to stop a petty dispute"

Aaron smiles "You're always positive, it's hard to find someone like that in the wasteland these days" he scratches his face "I couldn't let him call us freaks without confronting him" he looks at the prostethic and chuckles "it isn't even that damaged"

dante peeked into the training room. there was a lot of commotion going on there recently. this time was especially loud. it seemed that multiple fights had broken out this time around. he wondered what exactly happened.

Reira shook her head. "Do you think I have time to sulk and be all sad or gloomy?" She asked with an ever widening grin.
