»PERSONALITY;

Babette is the picture of innocence with her doe eyes and soft facial features. At first glance she seems like a fragile thing, someone who should be treated delicately like a flower or fine china. Those who know her know better however. Babette is a wild thing, a carefree young woman with little regard for rules or regulations. She prefers to live as she wants whether it be frolicking through flowers fields and soaking up the sun’s rays or enjoying the nightlife on Bourbon Street. She is passion personified. Babette is proud of her culture and who she is. Is isn’t easily swayed or quick to change her beliefs.

She’s headstrong person with a natural ability to lead. She is honest when it comes to how she feels. She prefers to say what’s on her mind and not beat around the push. Babette is confrontational as well. She isn’t afraid to approach someone if she has a problem with them or she feels the need to clear the air. She has a sharp tongue and a love for sarcasm. Babette has a smart mouth that has gotten her into a lot of trouble over the years.

Babette is charismatic, she enjoys being the center of attention and the life of the party. Babette is a flirt by nature. She’s coy with her advances. »HISTORY;

Babette was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. A placed known for its magical roots and vibrant atmosphere. Babette comes from a long line of witches (also known as priestesses) on her mother’s side. Before the band on Voodoo by MACUSA during the 1920s her family thrived in the magical city, many of the women were powerful in their own right. People would come to them for medical help, charms, and hexes alike. Babette’s bloodline traces back to the infamous Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau. With the ban on their way of life her family became angry with MACUSA yet there was nothing that could be done. So her family was forced to hide their practices and conform to the ways of the rest of society. Babette and her family continued to celebrate their religion in public while partaking in the magical aspect in secret. Her father is priest from Haiti, who came to the United States to travel. Babette’s father met her mother during one Mardi Gras and the two began dating. Babette came as a surprise to her parents and at the first chance her father bolted. He had no plans on settling down and starting a family so Babette’s mother raised her, teaching her daughter the ways and magic of their family along with her other family members.

When Babette received her letter from Ilvermorny her mother was upset. She still held the same grudge as her mother and her mother before her after the banning of Voodoo. However she knew that her daughter would never reach her full potential by staying at home and so she put her feelings aside for her sake. During her years at Ilvermorny she spent her first years alone, pushing everyone away and carrying the anger of her and her family inside. She felt like an outsider, her brand of magic not taught in the school and looked down on, branded as dark and evil.

Eventually she opened up to some of her fellow students and was able to make friends. However her feelings towards the community didn’t change. Babette learned and grew at the school, expanding her knowledge.
