Other Random question of the day

I second Onmyoji's response... but also! The first movie's is a reference to the first comic, "Amazing Fantasy #15".
But even Stan Lee takes his ideas from elsewhere. Winston Churchill said in 1906: "Where there is great power there is great responsibility, where there is less power there is less responsibility, and where there is no power there can, I think, be no responsibility."
Even before then, in 1817, the British member of Parliament William Lamb said "the possession of great power necessarily implies great responsibility".
If we want to stretch a little, we can even look in the bible. Luke 12:48: "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required".
Just a fun little aside.

Random question of the day:

Should the "Go for the money" ending in Red Dead Redemption 2 have been called "Take revenge" as that ending was more about getting revenge on those who betrayed you rather than the money?

No answers yesterday. Oh well.

Random question of the day:

Do some YouTubers come out as transgender or non-binary because they genuinely identify as such or is it simply for earning clout with the LGBT community?

Do some YouTubers come out as transgender or non-binary because they genuinely identify as such [...]
Yes. End of discussion.

People used to say the same "oh, they're only doing it for attention" thing about people who came out as gay back when they were the socially accepted target, and they were equally wrong then.

Edit: On rereading this post I realized that it maybe comes across as a bit too aggressive. That was not my intention and I apologize if that is the case.

How come no one took the effort of checking if the gun that ended up accidentally killing Brandon Lee during the filming of The Crow was loaded with real bullets?

Random question of the day:

Is lusting after women often a sign that a man didn't have any parental love during his childhood?

It really depends on the situation, I think. Sometimes the behavior doesn't start with them, but with their parents, their friends, whoever else has a large amount of influence over them. Sometimes they aren't born with the same sense of restraint that most people have. Sometimes they're hypersexual or insecure or even depressed - that type of behavior can stem from a ton of different places.

And I feel the same way about women lusting after men at an unusual rate, or women lusting over women, or men lusting over men. I don't subscribe to the belief that the psychological differences between men and women are due to their chromosomes rather than due to societal influence involving their gender.

No answers to yesterday's question? You realize of course, this means war. 😜

Random question of the day:

Are Geoffrey from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Niles from The Nanny a fundamental depiction of how butlers under the employ of rich people in real life feel about their field of work?

Is there any movie, TV show or video game that was so bad that it drove you to shout, babble or otherwise make you go insane?

I think it never stopped being popular, just that some of it moved to Discord, rather than forums

Is it common for scientists to be agnostic in their religious belief due to religious theories such as creationism conflicting with their profession?

Random question of the day:

If aliens came to Earth and happened to meet you, would you talk to them like you were talking to a regular human being?

It would depend on if they talked and comprehended normal speech like a regular human being.

If aliens came to Earth and happened to meet you, would you talk to them like you were talking to a regular human being?
Yes, if they understood me.

Aliens are simply 'humans' in their world and consider us as aliens because we're "creatures not from their land."

An alien would have their own customs and ways of interacting that're different from those of human beings, so I think the better response would be to strive to understand and treat them as they are. ie. A non human-centric approach that's still welcoming.

Robin Hood's song in Shrek. "What he's really saying is he likes to get-" "-PAID!" xD Kills me every time., even though it's been so long.
