Ramshackle Plaza (RP)

Dana stood up, ignoring the stinging pain in her back. She picked up her board and walked back into the plaza, putting the skateboard back in her bag. She tried to walk like nothing was wrong, but she could tell it wasn't working. She found the kids she was with earlier and asked, "Hey, uh where can I find my room? Or is it just any room I pick?"

"Aww ok"he said as he frowned.he went up two floors and found a room there and settled in.He dived on his bed and though about Danny for awhile but then started to play games on his phone not wanting to get up off of his bed.

"Two." Danny held up two fingers as he pressed the button. When the floor hit he walked to his room, and flopped onto his bed and closed his eyes to take a nap.

Dana walked out of the elevator at floor three. She found an unoccupied room and laid down. Her back felt better from the comfort, so she took her iPod out and listened to music. She laid around all day. Didn't even unpack.

Nicolai strolled into the Ramshackle like he owned the place - and for all anyone knew, he might. He unhooked Reese's leash as soon as the door was closed behind them, but rolled his eyes when the dog just trotted off on his own, familiar enough with the building and the people in it to know who liked him and where he might find them. "Where are you going?" Nicolai called after the Shepherd. "This isn't yours!"

He shrugged, though, instead of going after the dog, and just looked around the lobby, walking over to the book where most people that came and went had written their names. They had newcomers, and he set off to find everyone and say hello. "I'm home, darlings!" He called to the general area, knowing not everyone would hear him but wanting to give a warning anyway just so they couldn't say he hadn't. Even though Nicolai wasn't much older than the ones that lived here, he acted like it, and though some took his little nicknames as flirting it was just how he spoke.

(Sorry to say, but I am going to be quitting this site soon to finish a book I'm writing. Sorry! D: You guys can use my character if you want, too. I'm really sorry, and this rp was a lot of fun!!! I'm not leaving for a day or 2 yet, but I'm quitting the rp right now.)

(I'll use your character.)
Sean stood up from the couch to grab another apple before all of the food went away. He looked about and then snagged another apple just before they closed up.

Nicolai followed Reese into the kitchen first, trusting the dog's ears to find people to greet, and smiled when he saw someone there. "Good morning, Sean. I see we've gotten newcomers. They haven't run away screaming, I take it?" Some of the tenants here could be rather . . . abrasive.

Dana woke up from a light sleep. She must have fell asleep while listening to music. Her back was feeling a lot better too, the pain went away. Dana got up from the bed and went down to the kitchen when she overheard someone. They said something about newcomers not running away screaming. Dana walked into the kitchen and said, "Not all the newcomers get scared of a little abrasiveness." She smirked and looked around for something to eat. "I guess you run the place?" She asked the person with the Shepard.

Nicolai looked up when the new girl came in and offered a little smile, resisting the urge to laugh. "Not even close." Reese trotted over to say hello, tail wagging happily. "Don't worry about him. Reese is a good boy. He doesn't bite, he's just friendly." He shook his head, switching back to her question. "I'm just around to help out when I can. So? How has your entrance into Ramshackle Plaza gone, dear? Not too many hitches, I hope."

Dana kneeled down and gave the dog some love. He was adorable. She thought about what the guy said, and she replied seriously. "First, please call me Dana. Not Dear. And it's okay. I got help and a tour from some kid, and he showed me that abandoned parking lot outside. Said it's a good place for me to skateboard. The only problem I had so far was that I was skateboarding out there and I fell and hurt my back. It's all good now, though. Thanks for asking." Dana took an apple from the counter and took a bite. She then sat on the counter the guy was near so she could talk to him better. "Anything else Mr. Help Guy?"

He raised an eyebrow at her and just leaned back against the wall, making a note of her name. "Well, Dana, my name is Nicolai, but you may call me 'Mr. Help Guy' if it suits you." He gave her a concerned look. "Are you hurt still? I know where all the first aid kits are. Every bathroom is stocked with one." And the kitchen. Just in case.

Dana was real quick with her responses. "Nah, it's cool Nicolai. Cool name by the way. I rested on it for a while before I came down here. It's a lot better now. But thanks anyway." Dana took another bite of her apple. "So is there anything else interesting I could do here instead of skateboarding in the parking lot?"

Nicolai smiled a little and scratched Reese's ears when the dog came back to him. "You do know you're in New York City, don't you? There are any number of things you could do within walking distance. Even free things." He shrugged. "There are also game systems inside, and other things with which to entertain yourself. There's a small library on the third floor, I believe, and a pool outside."

He looked over when he realized Mouse had managed to sneak in unnoticed and had quietly retrieved a box of cereal before Nicolai spotted him. "Matthew!" Nicolai went over to him after the small boy startled in surprise, grabbing him in a big hug from behind and then just resting his chin atop the short boy's head. "You're such the perfect height." He said, smiling a little to himself and knowing the boy would be turning pink by now.

"W-Welcome back. . ." Mouse managed, quiet and timid and mildly embarrassed. Not that embarrassing him was very hard.

((Not sure if I want to refer to him as Mouse or Matthew when not in dialogue. . . Thoughts?))

((Mouse is cooler c:))

Dana smiled and asked, "Any real skate parks around? Or music places?" She wanted to skate on real things, ramps, anything but a parking lot. Either that or find a place where she can buy a guitar.

Nicolai hummed thoughtfully as he pulled a bowl down from a cabinet so he wouldn't quite have to let Mouse go just yet. He was trying to gradually get the boy used to human contact and it wasn't really working. "There's a skate park about an hour's walk from here, and a music store perhaps twenty minutes. I don't believe they have instruments, but they do at least have cds and records." His eyes went a little unfocused as he considered that. "I should find a record player. . ."

"Thanks Nicolai. Are you gonna be here later?" Dana was totally going to the skate park. She would find something to do after, get food or something. She has money so shes good.

Nicolai thought about it and shrugged, letting poor Mouse go so the boy could get milk for his cereal. "Probably. I drift in and out, sometimes, but I don't have anything planned for today so who knows." He planted his hands on his hips and gave Mouse a stern look. "For pete's sake, boy - won't you at least say hello to her?"

Mouse flinched so hard he almost dropped his bowl and looked between them both with wide eyes even as his little pet mouse crawled out of his shirt pocket onto his shoulder. "H-Hello. . ."

Dana waved to the boy. 'He's rather strange, but in an adorable little kid way.' She thought. "Alright well, I'm gonna go to the skate park, maybe meet some new people. Later!" And with that she took out her board and skated out of the hotel and went to find the park.

Nicolai waved goodbye, then just shook his head and ruffled Mouse's hair as he went by, Reese stopping briefly for a pet before following. There was more than one newcomer, and Nicolai hoped to find them all before lunch time. Maybe today he would stay a while longer than normal and try to get to know the new ones better.

((I'm gonna go to bed, see ya later!))
After a long afternoon of skateboarding, meeting kids, and eating at a random pizza place, Dana made her way back to the plaza. It felt great to be out on the ramps, and it was a perfect day for it! The cool breeze, and sun, Dana was happy as anything. She skated into the plaza, when she put her board in her bag she went around looking for Nicolai.

Asane left the arcade after feeling happy by beating the highscore by about.. fifteen times the original amount, she felt bad only another hunter like herself could most likely beat her score, but it barely mattered to her, she just liked having fun playing something that related to her... Afterwards, she went down to the main plaza to walk around and see if anyone else came here.
