Ramshackle Plaza (RP)

((It's okay :) Thanks for asking

I didn't mean literally walked into, but that works xD ))

Nicolai was in his own world while he walked the familiar path to the Plaza, and so didn't realize anyone was coming towards him until a rock skittered past his feet and a head hit his chest. He 'oof'ed quietly, stepping back to avoid accidentally shoving someone to the ground, and blinked at the person in front of him. "Oh!" He smiled. "Hello, Dana. Looking for me? How on earth did you expect to find me?" He laughed lightly. "It's a big city."

((It needed excitement xD haha!))

"Yeah, I'm not sure how I did exactly. I just have good luck I guess." Dana said, laughing a little. "I wanted to apologize for falling asleep on you guys last night. But, thanks for putting me on the bed. I didn't sleep much, though." She said. Dana fixed her hair, which was blowing my the breeze and getting in her face.

Nicolai just shrugged off the apology, shaking his head. "It's all right. I had to put Matthew to bed, as well. It's not any trouble." It wasn't as if either of them were very hungry, something he always tried to counteract by keeping the fridge and cupboards full. "Was that it, or did you want to talk to be about something else?"

Dana shook her head. "Nah, that was it. Well I guess I'll talk to you later then? Unless you wanna do something?" She asked, so she didn't seem rude.

((Not really sure what to do and I'm getting ready for work now, so I may not reply again))

Nicolai shrugged a little and glanced in the direction he'd been heading. "I'd meant to check in on everyone, but I was just there yesterday so I don't necessarily need to. We can do something, if you'd like."

((Okay, i'll just write something and we'll continue later!))

Dana thought for a little. "Wanna just take a walk?" She asked. There wasn't really anything to do. A walk would be nice.

Nicolai just shrugged. "I usually walk with Reese, but all right." He turned around to walk away from the Plaza rather than towards it, and gestured forward. "Where to?"

"I'm not sure. What would you like to do? We've got all day." Dana said. She didn't really know the ways around New York yet. So she hoped Nicolai knew something.

Nicolai shrugged again, but started walking, a little aimlessly. "Central Park is always a good idea, if you're willing to walk that far like a true New Yorker. It's free, too. That's nice."

Dana nodded and smiled. "I don't care. I like walking." She continued to walk, following Nicolai since he knew where he was going. She had some cash on her in case she wanted to buy something.

"If you say so." He said, glancing back at her. "Have you ever been to New York before? When we get to the higher traffic areas, you're going to kind of want to glue yourself to my heels. It's a big, fast-moving crowd." He grinned. "And you're too short if we get separated."

"No I never have. But alright, I'll stay close." Dana smiled, giggling a little.

Nicolai nodded, smiling a little still, and just kept walking. "I'll let you know before it gets bad, and you can have my arm for a while." He'd offer his arm like a gentleman.

((night!))

((Okay, goodnight!))

Dana smiled, taking his arm. She walked with him, feeling the cool breeze going through her hair. She admired everything that she passed.

Nicolai stayed quiet and let Dana just site see as they went, commenting every once in a while when they passed something interesting. This was his city, truly. He knew almost everything about it. When they got to Central Park, he bought her a balloon and tied it around her wrist like she was a child, only grinning when she looked at him. "So you don't lose it."

Nicolai nodded and smiled, looking around. "Let's just walk a while, and we can decide what to eat later, if you haven't eaten yet."

Dana kept walking along side of Nicolai. "Alright, I'm not that hungry yet. But I probably will be soon." She said, looking around. She saw a store with cool looking clothes in the window. "Can we go check out that place?"

((Have you ever read anything about New York before? lol Just wondering, because Central Park is just a park. A massive one with street vendors, but still just a park. I guess I'll just say they were about to enter Central Park and she saw a shop across the road))

Nicolai shrugged a little and did a sort of about-face to turn in the direction she wanted to go. "If you'd like. I've no agenda for today, so we can go anywhere. I just have to pick Reese up from the groomers in a few hours."

((No I don't know anything.. Sorry! :/ ))

Dana walked into the store and immediately fell in love. Everything was in her style of clothing and accessories. She found a pair of solid black short shorts with checkers on one side, and a checkered belt. She had enough money for them. "I'll be right back, I wanna try these on." She told Nicolai before running to the fitting rooms. When she had them on, Dana came out and looked to Nicolai. "They okay?"

((It's okay. Just checking :) ))

Nicolai waited around, flipping through a nearby rack of clothing without much interest, and just waited for Dana to be done. When she popped back out and asked his opinion, he just smiled a little. "They look fine to me. It doesn't matter what I think though. If you like them, get them." He assumed she wouldn't have tried them on without knowing if she could afford them.

Dana smiled and went back to change into her old pants. She came out and paid for them. "Ready to continue our walk?" She asked Nicolai. Dana wanted to really see Central Park.

((It's okay. Just checking :) It's basically one giant park with lots of huge trees, walking/running paths, grass to sit on, little ponds for ducks and stuff, and rocks to climb))

Nicolai smiled and nodded and gave her his arm again before continuing forward. "Ready whenever you are. I've seen all this stuff before, so we're really just going anywhere you want to."

Dana took his arm again, as they walked out of the store she said, "Well show me something fun. I don't know what to do!" She looked at all of the people hanging around, but they looked at her weirdly. "Why are they looking at me like that?"

Nicolai laughed a little, shaking his head. "The point of Central Park is finding natural beauty in a big city." He gave her arm a little shake with his. "And don't worry about them. It's not important." Even here, homeless people were still treated as outcasts, and most kids at the Plaza looked pretty homeless.

((Night! I'll be back some time in the morning))
