Quarantine London [Inactive]

Max decided to follow Alyssa. They approached the abandoned building. It was completely rotted and decayed. It was also very quiet despite the rain pouring down outside. Max looked back at Janie who was standing in the rain. "You coming?"

Janie shifted her weight from foot to foot trying to decide whether to bolt or to remain with the two people who seemed on the sane side. Even if they didn't have a invading virus in their brain telling them to kill everyone in sight, it didn't mean they weren't dangerous. She looked over her shoulder and the grunted following behind the duo. She ducked into the shelter and looked around instinctively, first for escape routes and then for anything useful.

Max could sense Janie had that...fight or flight instinct. Also she seemed to not trust him at all...that was not good. He needed trust from both girls so they could be a team, and trust was a major factor in this situation. He found a rock and planted his butt on it. "Sooo Janie", he started, "What's your story?"

Alyssa slowly stepped into the building and taking careful steps to not fall through the floor, she looked back at Max and smile "follow my steps" she kept going then got to a safe patch on the floor and sat down

Max looked at both girls. "So you guys wanna take turns telling your stories from before this all happened?" Max said with his posh, London accent. He looked back and forth between Alyssa and Janie. They were both very pretty, only he was gay...so that kinda mattered. "I can go first if you guys want me to?" Max said, thinking about his depressing past.

Janie leaned back against the wall. She brushed her fingers through her slightly wet hair and the folded her arms across her chest. "If you guys want to have a mush party and talk about your feelings, then go for it. But count me out." She turned around and leaned her side against the doorway looking out into the rain.

Alyssa stayed quiet obviously wanting to hear his story first. She sat cross legged and smiled brightly.

Max gave Janie a look, but shook it off and started: "Well, before the bombings I had a family. Mom, dad, 2 younger sisters. Abigail and Alexis. I had a boyfriend, Logan...he and I were madly in love. We did everything together", Max sadly smiled at the memories, "But I lost him in bombings. My mom died. I got deprecated from my sisters and dad...so it's just me. I've been depressed for as long as I can remember. Now...I just feel all alone."

Alyssa smiled sadly, "well you're not alone now!" She beamed then thought for a second, "I'm from Canada, came to see my boyfriend. Then the bombs happened. He got sick and died..." she paused for a second "back in Canada I was a bit of a loner. I lived with friend n stuff but I just wanted to come here so I did...at least I got to see Ed before he died...." she looks at her hands

Max put a hand on her shoulder. "We both lost our boyfriends..." He hoped this would comfort her at least in some way. He was a friendly guy, but when it came to comforting others...he wasn't the best at it. "My boyfriend gave me this necklace." He held up the crescent moon shape on the necklace. "He said as long as I have it, the light of the moon will protect me..." He smiled at the thought. Logan was always the cheesy romantic type. Just then, he could feel a bond between him and Alyssa. Like a sister brother bond. This is the friend he needed. "We'll get to the quarantine zone. I swear."

Samuel lost sight of the silhouettes but that didn't mean he was safe. He grabbed his spear from the gravel beside him and pulled it in close, staying near the the wall of the buildings he started moving toward the direction from where he saw the figures. Even if they were crazies, everyone has some sort of supplies on them, Samuel just wished Andrew was back from his supply run already.

He continued on, moving as swiftly and quietly as would be permitted, on the back of his neck he feels a rain drop plop and splash.

'Damn' he thinks, rain is the last thing we need...

Janie saw a figure move out in the distance. She paid half attention to the conversation going on behind while following the figure walking out in the rain. She narrowed her eyes leaning her shoulder against the doorway.

As Samuel crept closer he heard conversation. 'The crazies didn't talk.. Did they?' He decided that on the list of bad things in London, people were right below the crazies. But as it goes around here, supplies mean life.. And everyone has supplies. He decides that it would be in his best interest to wait for Andrew before investigating further

I need to get back before I freeze to death Andrew thinks to himself as the rain hits his head. He had just been out on a supply run and found a jackpot. Abandoned food market. Most of the perishables had rotted, but they had a nice store of cans and water. Only problem was that there were crazies locked inside that kept him from getting even more.

As he walked back to the ruined house that he and Sam we're using as a camp, he noticed Sam standing in the middle of the sidewalk.

"Hey, what are you doing out here?" Andrew said, quietly.

Sam was paralyzed at the sound of a voice behind him, until he realized he knew that voice.

He quickly back steps toward Andrew. "People, at least I think they are people.. Crazies don't talk.. They?" Sam said in a hushed tone.

"Either way, they have to have supplies. And we could end up being stuck inside the camp without being able to leave it for a while.."

Janie kept facing the figure in the rain. "How do you know it's real?" she asked Max without turning around. "The quarantine, it's just a rumor isn't it?" She watched another figure join the one standing in the street and shifted uncomfortably. They stood there and she assumed they were talking to each other, but it was strange that they just stood in the rain.

"You're not suggesting we steal from them right? Well it doesn't matter, look!" Andrew opened his bag and almost laughed at Sam's face when he saw his backpack full of supplies. "and there's more where that came from"

Andrew had just now realized they were waiting outside so he took a quick look around and said in a hushed tone "Why are we out here?"

"It's not... My dad said there was one. But then we got separated. It was set up by the British government on the edge of London." He hoped she believed him. He knew it was real...he then got up because he noticed Janie had been staring outside. "What is it?" He asked.

Sam glances back to the building from where he heard the conversation, we should get back into the camp.. It's going to be pouring pretty hard here in a second.

Janie turned to face Max. "We have company." she turned gesturing with her head across the street. She chewed on her cheek dropping her hands by her side. "Two of them, just standing in the rain. "

"Well...they can't be the infected. They would have run at us by now...right?" He could see the figures, but couldn't make out their appearances because of the rain. "What do we do?" He whispered to Janie.

Janie shook her head not at all sure. "I don't know it's pretty insane to just stand in the rain and wait to catch cold." she slipped her backpack from her shoulders and dropped on the ground. "I don't know what you are going to do" She bent down and unzipped her pack pulling out her can of beans and her knife. "But I'm going to eat some dinner" she stabbed the top of the can and cut around the edges before pulling the circular top off and tossed it on the ground. "Maybe they'll stand there all night."

Sam dashes to the entrance of there camp and crawls inside, he quickly lights a fire into the fireplace and sits back waiting for the warmth to hit him, he stares at the small crawl entrance into the camp waiting for Andrew to follow

Max watched as Janie sat down to eat. He then pulled out some trail mix and started eating as well. "I just don't feel comfortable with 2 strangers standing there like that, Janie. It's strange.." He was munching on his trail mix, deep in thought.

As she walked through the rain, her jacket was obviously soaked by now. Chills raked her body, and her step became sloppy. She sighed angry with her position "Can't find food...Can't find shelter..Everything is just....destroyed." She spoke in her normal voice, not caring if any one heard, knowing she was probably the only one out there. She shivered again. "I swear..if..I..see...another..one of those..things. I will throw...it to ..kingdom com..." Cutting her sentence of she tripped falling face down to the ground. Her eyes shut tight for the impact. Yet what she fell on didn't feel like stone, or wood, it was kinda soft, yet felt like ice. Opening one eye, her voice was stuck in her throat. Panic mixed with fear went down her spine. She was face to face with a crazy. Finally finding her voice she made a ear screeching scream, she didn't mean to yet she was terrified. Jumping up she pushed it to the ground, as it kept mumbling weird noises. Reaching back she grabbed her blades, her body shaking from a mixture of coldness and fear. As the crazy got up slowly she tries to calm her self down, closing her eyes she thought of what she was taught. Of what he taught her. Opening them up she gave a half smile "Bring it on..".
