Fenrir failed attempt to restrain the lizard was met with a dissatisfied growl, as soon as his paws swiped through air, cleanly, grabbing nothing. Still, with one of the other proprieties of the bunny, the white-haired man, had been successfully in getting a hold of the thieving chameleon. Now it was just a matter of tying the creature up.

The Wolfman remembered that the shop owner kept some rope in one of the backrooms. In an instant, the butler dashed [Fast F] towards the room, coming back in the next moment with the rope in hand. With the bright light still showing the location of the reptilian, Fenrir approached the creature and, without ceremony, began running rope around its legs and arms.

The knots and position of the rope were pretty rough, forcing the chameleon’s arms to be extended backward, along with its legs, almost looking like an animal which had been hunted. “This should do it. You could have had a little more dignity than this if you weren’t that thick-headed.” The Wolfman said to the chameleon, shaking his head in displeasure.

One of Saoirse’s propriety called his attention due to her inaction, however, even after being ordered to act. And it wasn’t long before the humiliating scene played just in front of the group, the minotaur being brought down to her knees and manhandled by the horns by someone half her size.

Fenrir said nothing, nor showed any particular expression towards the scene. The butler was already getting a grasp on the type of difficulty slave that one was, and he wondered if this type of rough treatment had been used often.

“Thank you for the sword and armor, mistress. I will certainly put them to good use.” The Wolfman said, accompanied by a bow, before already putting the light-armor over his butler attire and affixing the new sword on the opposing side of the one he already had on him. Maybe he could train being ambidextrous with them? That certainly seemed like an advantage.

“I do. I was the one in charge of making the list of everything that had to be bought with my previous owner.” He answered the bunny’s question.

As soon as he stepped into the marketplace, he began scanning the area with his eyes, seeing all the people going about their business. And, albeit being rather mellow, the Wolfman could feel something tugging on the back of his mind, making him even more calm and peaceful. It was odd and bizarre, making him dislike it every single bit.

Making a list of everything that would be necessary going into a new estate, both essential and not, Fenrir began going from stall to stall, grabbing every single item and supply.

Teti

Being on the run really was no way to live, the only benifit that Teti had was he had gotten out before he technically belonged to Qin Huang. To think hos parents had sold him to a man twice his age that wasn't at least de ent to look at. Really it was just the latter that biggest Teti and had him escape. Though now he needed a way to live and a way to stop anyone from completing the magic engraved upon his dark skin. Well not anyone but to stop a random person that knew how. So he needed the incomplete magic taken off or to find the right master. The latter was very much easier than the former. Avoiding the titles of wanted and run away slave was hard enough without asking around for something most saw and innately wrong.

With Qin Huang far from Quang, hopefully at least, Teti had his time to pick from his unknowing future masters. Teti had a few qualities he was looking for, mostly boiling down to their looks and how they seemed to be treating their slaves. Getting somone good looking was worthless if they were ruthless. He needed just the right mix and he thought he found the right mix in a weapon shop. It had been by pure chance thst he looked in at the right time to see the scene and hear the words inside woth his greater hearing. While not everything was audible but the minotaur everyone called cow was a rather disobedient to even her owner. Yet she was not beaten or subjected to some torture. Teti had seen slaves undergo a scourging until their blacks were a bloody mess for far less.

If this little master was that lenient towards the cow then their attitude was right. Perhaps he could even get more with a silver tounge and charm. The cows owner was a little bunny girl with more bunny that Teti had cat in him. A cute little master that was very flexible with her slaves that was just about right. He could complain about having to share his owner, or that he wasn't always as popular with female clients in the caravan, but she would do.

Teti would wait for the commotion in the weapons shop to settle down and the master and her coterie of slaves left towards the main market. The orbs were annoying and teti got why people woyld go out to grey markets to do things if it meant the empire wasn't playing with your mind. Still he wasn't planning violence or chaos just a bit of word play so the edicts weren't the worst. Twti would keep a distsnce from the group until the little master wanted them to hurry. This was as good a spot as any to interject.

Teti moved in to the group " Quite an intresting group if belongings you keep dear master " he said almost purring the last R his voice androgynous hard to tell if he was man or woman and his style of dress didn't help anyone looking at him to choose. Really the cow despite her clearly female looks exuded more masculine energy than Teti. " Though I think you are missing something that all noble masters should have. Perhaps you will allow me to help you fill what you are missing dear master as Teto spoke her would as a matter of habit weave in his [Cat's meow] to perhaps further entice his prospective master.

Lei-Cao wasn't expecting as much as a blindingly painful flashbang all of a sudden to abruptly strike and blind her in the eyes. Hissing and muttering small grumbles under her breath, she reached to hold her eyes with a hand as she hadn't been expecting why Ryuuji's capability of doing such a thing had been kept a miraculous secret up until now for what felt like absolutely no reason at all. It wasn't like she was even trained for catching thieves or this stupid kind of stuff anyway, or barely even trained at all for that matter. The entire time she had stuck around, she hadn't done much but been dragged along on Saoirse's pointless little trips to nowhere that matters. Though in her moment of vulnerability and being dropped to the floor, even though she had spent a long while concocting her own plans on how to mould her current situations to her own benefit she couldn't help but feel naught more than a significant amount of anger. Even though she was blinded, she forced her arm-strength to hold herself up and gritted her teeth.

"Oh yeah, like I was supposed to know that'd happen, and that the sole responsibility of some random thief in some idiot blissfully aware merchant's store couldn't be stopped by the people who own the store nor by the countless how many others could do the job. Oh, you needed a multitude of others to do it for you, but I can't do it singlehandedly when I didn't even ask to be doing pointless window-shopping in the first place. Meanwhile, you sit around like a fur-covered sack of ████-coated lard and ████ doing absolute ████ all but a ████-faced cowering peace of ███████ ██████-minded ████-gripping ████ along with the rest of these ████ing brainless rodent████-eating bunny████-licking ███████? Oh boohoo, I'm so ████ing horse████ terrified ████less that I'm █████ing myself with fear. Any punishment you have would be leagues above listening to you yap pointless nothing with your massively ████████ sized ego and uselessness. Go ahead and force me naked in the public streets you degenerate little ██████ rodent, just because you're too incapable of breaking my real warrior spirit or training me. That and you're too jealous you don't even have a ████-worth of anything anyone would be even slightly mildly attracted to you no matter how hard you tried, any law against public indecency ends up becoming your problem anyway. All talk, and you can't even make a threat right without a million obvious flaws. Little pig-████ ████████ ████ █████" she furiously spoke as she ignored Saoirse's threats, eventually getting herself off the ground whilst blinded still. Wiping at her eyes that were tearing up with the blinding pain, she heard Saoirse's instruction for Melia to assist her and Fenrir watching 'the cow'.

"████ you, ████ off. Chaos curses you all and your ████-off ████-faced ███████ of family that can all ████ off in the █████████, most painful ████ing ████holes of the depths of hell" Lei huffed in an annoyed tone, feeling more than ready to walk off in a random direction and take her chances more than anything right now. Though at the questionable voice of Teti which sounded like either another slave Saoirse had gotten into ownership, or the absolute most questionable weirdo anyone could ever meet. she muttered.

"Nobody cares about your stupid ██████ little meaningless paid actors to boost your ████ing ego, you rodent █████. Get on with it or get lost with this absolute freak of a weirdo, I'd rather you beat the ████ out of me than put up with whatever freak-████-████ you have ████ing around ████-faced doing ████ing ████-████████ █████ery for your ████ing ████-loving ██████ sake" she uttered, not caring much for whatever threat Saoirse held. The minotaur was too annoyed to even try pretending to be nice or helpful, she held no respect whatsoever for such a disrespectful and annoying little rat and the rest of her little mindless drones of slaves.

"Gotcha biach." Diego said once he felt he was grabbing onto the thief, albeit with only one arm, so he quickly moved his other arm which wasn't holding him down along the creatures back finally grabbing him tightly around his neck with his superstrength.
"Can someone tie him up. Im not great at knots. Besides if I did that he would be tied like pig for slaughter." Diego commented and his words were shortly followed by Fenrir coming with the rope to tied the thief beautifully. "I know I said to tie him up, but I didn't say like a present for a hunter. Though I have to say you have one mean way of tying knots so fast and precisely at that." Diego said trying to crack a little joke partially at the thief's expense, after all he will be paying for it all.
Having said that little boss did just pay for Diego's gear, so he did a two finger salute towards her while saying. "Thanks for the gear boss."

"Aye I did boss. Will do boss."
Diego nodded while replying to Saoirse's orders, though he was thankful she allowed his little whim really. What he did not expect was the market looking like... Well an old timey market from a Chinatown. Atleast he hoped the name of the ingredients are the same and they all exist here or else he will need to improvise heavily.
"Ryuuji right, just to be sure, does everyone in bosse's employ can handle their spices well? I have to know before I start looking for ingredients. Cause I doubt boss would let me cook again if I make a Salsa that is too spicy." Diego asked mainly Ryuuji, though Jastira could probably answer as well if she knew what was needed to do so.
"But I do know I'm gonna need some flour and lard for the tortilla, some garlic, onions, some kind of meat, I would say beef but don't know if 'the cow' would eat beef so maybe some pork or chicken. Might need some chili and bell peppers, tomatoes, a handful of cilantro, and some lime. I could make some empanadas or tortillas with Pico de Gallo on the side for the non meat eaters." Diego started to mutter a bit under his breath but still loud enough for both Ryuuji and Jastira to hear, and as he kept muttering his Mexican accent became more and more clear and heavy, possibly throwing Jastira out for a wild ride with how he sounded.

"I didn't mean anything by it other than should you want to learn, it should be easier." He'd speak simply to Jastira, aware that his words may not have been the most well received but there was a silver lining there.

"Should there be a time which does not conflict with our Mistress's needs, I'd be more than willing give you a walkthrough on how I have been thinking about it since my magic started working properly again." He'd also add in.

With the thief situation pretty well taken care of after getting secured, and Ryuuji heard information about whatever discount they were going to be getting based on how Saoirse had essentially done the business owner a favor by preventing the thief from escaping with her resources.

He'd listen to what she had to say next, He'd bow, accept the money she offered him and then prostrate himself lower than her after receiving the commands.

"Understood Mistress, I'll see that it's done then." Ryuuji was pretty neutral on this prospect, but it was good, it certainly beat other tasks which were less pleasant, but he wasn't about to complain, frankly complaining to Saoirse or any one else who belonged to her wasn't words that were on his tongue, he knew what was said would likely come around, and he was simply thankful that he was valued enough to be trusted with money and to go do tasks which were on the safer side of things.

Unfortunately it appeared that Lei Cao was as disagreeable as ever, just when he had been having a reasonable conversation with her earlier too, it almost made him feel like she was part of the team even if albeit momentarily but with this bad attitude and acting out, it wasn't worth wasting his breath over, using aggressive words didn't really get through to her, it would be through training and positive reinforcement where Ryuuji believed that she'd become more agreeable, as it was clear that she was feeling resentful of the fact that she had been told she'd be trained and had been going on many side quests until that point, at least that's what Ryuuji was inclined to believe she was thinking.

Ryuuji secured the funds on his person at a central location at his waist near his hands to reduce the chance of theft, after he finished bowing and was ready to head out with everyone else.

He looked around noticing the busier area, quick and efficient it would be then. They get the ingredients and head back. Surprisingly enough because Ryuuji was from a modern earth back in his world, he actually knew about the sort of food that Diego was describing.

"Jastira, what would you say your spice tolerance level is? Mine probably sits comfortably at a medium." Ryuuji was used to spicier foods with the Japanese Cuisine, he had frequented as well as spicy noodles, and spicy indian curries among other things.

Ryuuji spoke at a polite and softer volume for the next part, (Ryuuji would also add any information about spice preferences he might have noticed about others by this point depending on Elvario's thought ,and he'd try to reflect it more accurately if so)

" If you were to ask me I would assume that the tolerance of the West Empire beast people on average is probably a deal higher than your average human, I would caution you from making it too hot however, as I agree that would not boad well. Diversifying the protein options is a good idea, it would probably be a bit unseal for someone to eat a more mundane animal from which their beastial heritage could be related too."

"For the crops you are mentioning I am not entirely sure if we can secure all of them, but I do know what they look like, let's try to take a look around the market area then and see if there are any ongoing deals..or at the very least reasonably priced substitutes we can use if it isn't possible to get everything you're mentioning, I can help with the negotiation as I can speak Beastial as was mentioned."

Since they were on a time limit and it was go time, Ryuuji was ready to head wherever was logical from that point to try to find ingredients. He may have noticed Teti at some point and found them curious, but that was not his assigned task at the moment, and there were others there to keep Saoirse safe.

He might have been inclined to heal Lei Cao sooner if it made sense too but part of him felt like Saoirse probably wanted her to sit with it until her regeneration kicked in to make a point, as he hadn't received the command to do so.

Saoirse Desrosiers

“Good.” She'd reply to Fenrir. So far, he'd done an excellent job. Tying up the thief, thanking her appropriately for the equipment, as well as being of immediate use in stocking up. Saoirse would only spring to action every so often, either to negotiate and pay for goods or to select certain things that she personally liked, like certain tea flavours (mostly herbal) and jars of pickled carrots, as well as certain wines. It started to look like the biggest challenge was going to be carrying everything, for that matter. Buying a shopping casket or something might be needed as well. Luckily enough, they were selling those. Directly next to a store which seemed to be selling some of the most delicious smelling kebabs that'd have ever reached Fenrir's sharp nose.

Sadly enough, Saoirse couldn't 'enjoy' much, as she was subjected to a whole lot of mooing by the Cow. It was a noise she royally ignored, of course, as acknowledging too much of this was only going to encourage the Cow to do it more. There were, however, a few parts that stood out. She felt like the only valid point was that she was failing to train this cow well and fast enough. “Right, let's have you train then.” She'd state. As she looked around, spotting exactly what she was looking for. A store selling slave-related goods.

“Let's see if you're all talk or if you can back up some of all those claims of yours.” She would say, as they entered the shop. Going to the back, the first order would be simple. “Well then, off with it.” She'd order the Cow to undress. “Or did you suddenly get too shy?” She'd add, should the Cow hesitate.

Should the cow comply, she figured she might play some mind games. “Now put these on.” She'd hand the Cow some rags that'd provide some of the utmost and bare minimum basic decency. “As you might be right, perhaps I am a degenerate who wishes to watch your warrior form develop. Though perhaps I'd want to keep that sight all to myself for now. ” She hoped that would confuse the Cow more than anything. Perhaps giving the Cow some hope that she was 'special' to Saoirse, which she sort-off was in her own unique way, was going to pay off in the long run.

Next came the more interesting part, as she'd (Mentor C) formed a plan to help this cow further by developing her Superstrength and Vitality. “Now use these.” She'd state, pointing at what seemed to be weights wrapped up in chains. They were to be wrapped around someone's legs, arms and torso. “A real warrior should be able to resist the rough material through their strength and through the thickness of their skin alone and not be hindered by these weights whatsoever. I'm not sure if you'd be strong enough for it yet, but perhaps you can prove me wrong.” In fact, Saoirse herself would help out putting them on, as she was rather motivated for two reasons. One being that she genuinely did wish to train this cow. The second that ensuring these chains were on tight was a good way to let off some steam. She did debate forcing the cow to wear a gag as well, but decided against it. Whilst the Cow had lost her right to speak, it might be too entertaining to start hearing her make excuses or try to get out of this challenge the moment it'd start wearing her down.

“Well then, are you ready to prove you're a real warrior?” She'd ask. Should the Cow have complied well enough, she'd now be wearing rags, chains and weights for clothing. It'd be quiet the sights, all in all.

She'd return to Fenrir (and Melia) short after. “Sorry for the hold-up. How goes stocking up?” She'd ask him. That reminded her. “Have you seen anyone selling good quality cheese yet? Preferably from Ryken. Our country's cheeses tend to be rather... unfavourable to the pallet.” That was one way to say they were 'gross' to her. Fenrir wouldn't have spotted such a store yet, though if he ignored the scent of kebabs, he might be able to pick up on some scents of stronger blue cheeses and chase down the desired items that way.

Before they could go there, however, they ran into someone new. Saoirse was instantly weary. Someone greeting her with 'dear master' smelled like trouble. She'd eye Teti carefully as he'd feel [Appraisal B] wash over him. His words sounded pleasing enough to her, yet the suddenness of it... “I'm not looking to hire escort services...” She started, until the appraisal information hit. “Ah.” Signs of an unfinished slavery seal. She clicked her tongue. “Were you a runner, you might've already been mauled by the guardian beasts.” She mumbled.

Melia Hayward
GYOmdVf.jpg

She'd been following along Saoirse in relative silence, ensuring nobody was foolish enough to accidentally bump into her master and keeping an eye on the Cow to prevent her from doing anything too stupid. The only time she'd spoken up was to ask for some gear maintenance items at one of the stalls. Yet the cat was certainly making her far more weary. “Should I detain this person and bring them in for de processing, madam?” She'd ask.

Saoirse felt like 'yes' would be the easiest answer, yet, perhaps it was the [meow] that'd gotten to her or those hips that didn't lie, but she felt like that might make her miss out on a great opportunity. “Not yet.” She'd tell her guard off, for now, though Melia would stay weary.

Looking at Teti, she debated her options. “What I'm missing, you say?” She had to think that through. She had a good second in command and healer with Ryuuji, she had a good guard with both Melia and Diego, she had a good public relations/spokeswoman with Jastira, she had someone that'd make for a good warrior in the future with the Cow, once she'd cracked that one, she had a very promising servant/butler with Fenrir... “Like a maid?” She asked, mostly to herself. That was the one thing she seemed to be missing the most. A personal maid.

She shook he head, snapping out of that train of thought for now. “If you're wishing to make a deal, you've managed to capture my interest. Yet I'll have three conditions. You'll have to convince me there's something worth making flourish about you, you'll have to convince me you've got the motivation to flourish in said things and if you manage to do so, you'll join me to the Slaver's Guild to ensure the proper paperwork is filed and money finds its way to the right people, so that I won't get into trouble for stealing someone's future slave.” She shamelessly eyed the cat again, as she wondered if she should make more demands, but decided against it. He was too interesting to dismiss too soon. “If you do, I can promise you that you'll be provided with whatever you need to achieve said flourishing and with fair and generous treatment.”

As she said it, she realised the state of the Cow might not be all that great to prove her words. “If you're wondering about that one, it's simply part of her training. She seems to enjoy challenging me and being punished in return.” She explained, as at this point, that seemed to have become a pattern. “You can ask Melia here, or Fenrir, or my other slaves, should they rejoin with us, they can confirm I'd ensure fair treatment.” She would state, as she figured she would balance out her former demands with some promises that were beyond what many others slaves could expect from their masters.

Jastira Veidi
89qdlDt.png

YHl3aGi.png

Meanwhile, Jastira still wasn't entirely sure what to think about Ryuuji's words. “Of course it would be.” She eventually replied, trying to save some of her Fae pride. “I'm sure we can convince the mistress that learening such a thing is good for my flourishing.” She'd state, showing part of her more calculative side. “From what I've learned, the mistress will agree to just about any demand so long as we can convince her it'll help us flourish.” The latter was probably, by far, the best thing about having Saoirse as a master. The amount of freedom and resources she was able to leech off of Saoirse in that manner was probably even greater than what she'd have gotten as a free woman, oddly enough.

She'd listen to Diego's questions. To her, the man seemed to fit in perfectly. Thanking the mistress for her gear, praising another slave for their knot-tying ability. It seemed like being friendly to this man, even if he was Human, might be worthwhile. “How come you're that eager to make this food to begin with? What makes it so important to you?” She asked, genuinely curious and simply hoping that her show of interest would create more positively relations to use later on.

After waiting for Ryuuji to answer the spice question first, she'd nod. “I do believe I can handle them decently enough, although I'd rather avoid them before any performances.” She did feel it'd get in the way of her singing. “From what I've heard” (etiquette F) “it is not entirely uncommon for high society people that aren't on the greatest terms to subtly challenge one another at dinners by bringing out spicy food. I'd assume the mistress has therefore been trained to be used to it by her parents.” Ryuuji (etiquette E) would be able to back-up this rumour and confirm it was indeed not an uncommon thing.

Diego's hesitance to buy beef made her chuckle. “If we were to be unable to eat any animal resembling some of the people here, we'd be better off becoming herbivores. Yet I'm certain there's no issue with doing such, as I've even seen the mistress order hare once. It was... an odd sight. Yet I believe that, to them, it can be a way to separate them further from mere animals, rather than something that'd have them feel bad or have them sympathise.” What Jastira either hadn't notice or didn't say, was that Ryuuji was correct in that this practice wasn't always done with the most 'pleasure' or comfort. It was probably still a tad iffy to some. That said, someone like the Cow probably wouldn't mind, due to how often and loudly she claimed to not even be a cow.

They were able to find flour with ease, lard and meats were plenty, though it took a bit longer to find it looking fresh and well enough. Also to find meats that weren't dubious and from potential slaves. “Never trust the sausages or ground meats.” Jastira would, at one point, say when they passed a somewhat suspicious looking butchery. Though it'd be up to Diego and Ryuuji if they were to agree with that sentiment or not.

The vegetables could all be found in one section of the market. In fact, it seemed there were three types of garlic and a five types of onions among the more commonly sold ones. One common type of onion even having a blue-ish hue to it. “I think the mistress liked those ones...” She'd state, pointing at the blue-ish onions. Ryuuji would be able to back it up. They were ever so slightly sour compared to normal onions and would need a bit more clever preparation and good pairing in dishes though. Bell peppers and tomatoes seemed mostly the same as he'd have seen from his previous world. Except the fact there were some pumpkin sized bell-peppers and black tomatoes on sale as well. Or the fact that there seemed some weird, in-between fruit that would roughly translate to 'tomapepper' in Common.

The spices section, both for fresh spices and dried ones, were large. He'd see a lot of things he wouldn't recognise, but luckily, also the types he was looking for. The same for limes. The only thing he wouldn't be able to find was cilantro. “I think they don't sell it here, as most beasts would claim cilantro tastes like soap.” She'd comment. Once again, something Ryuuji would be able to back up from his past experiences.

The next few words confused her. “Empanadas... Pico..?” It was like he was suddenly talking in a totally different language.

As for the overall dealings, Ryuuji being able to speak beastial was clearly an advantage. Prices seem to magically drop a little the moment they heard their own native tongue being spoken. Should he be clever enough to make it clear who's property he was, the price would drop a bit more. Probably only slightly above average, at that point, as it seemed most vendors would still try to get away with slightly raised prices when dealing with slaves, regardless on if they spoke the right language or belonged to someone of note. Probably a common occurrence that was accepted as fact by now. Sending slaves meant you paid slightly more.

As it looked like they were about to have gathered what they wanted and were looking to head back, however, Jastira spotted something. A mage selling wooden cups of colourful ice cubes, likely some sort of frozen jelly with fruit flavours. “Oh! I think I remember those! We should totally buy them, that's a bargain!” She'd comment. Thought it was still somewhat pricey overall. “I'm sure the mistress wouldn't mind, we can get her the carrot flavoured ones as well.” She'd add with [Just Trust Me]. [Just Trust Me] - Persuasion F, Deception F, Focus F, Etiquette F - Jastira attempts to socially influence her target to see things her way. F Grade - 0 Post Cooldown.

Still not burnt out from her anger-induced rant of having to put up with the absolute nonsense Saoirse would force her through and the non-stop belittling, Lei felt in a righteous mood to break things and assert her position of power as she felt hatred for all those around her. It finally took long enough for Saoirse to say something she'd been waiting way too long to hear, internally considering that it was likely too good to be true since every experience so far had been a tedious trip or a pointless flaunt of power and personal pleasure clearly entirely on the rabbit's side for their own enjoyment.

"Oh, now? It took all until now for you to start? It's the one thing I'm supposed to expect is your purpose but I haven't seen a single damn worth come out of you. All your pointless followers are as just as passive and lifeless as you, following you around to who-cares-where on meaningless trips with no outcome other than more sappy sad-souls to bow and pray at your every little whim. Fine, I'll take your stupid training, but I will  never be like these poor hollow souls you have wandering around wasting away their lives and purpose for you to feel less alone and worthless... " Lei uttered and grumbled, eventually following on without much care or concern as she was lead to another shop. At least her eyes would have been healed up enough to not be problematic.

"Oh wow, a  different store. Couldn't have seen that one coming. The Farmer's Market is where it gets really terrifying... " the minotaur sarcastically commented over where she was being taken for training's sake. She could only imagine Saoirse had nothing at all in the works or preparation beforehand, wondering if the quarter-pint's creative training would be yet another questionable torture beating. When they eventually got to the back and Saoirse asked her to undress, her annoyance lessened a little as dull-toned sarcasm rather took over. Giving the rabbit an eyebrow raise, Lei questioned at her request.

"This is like the third time you've asked me to get naked, clearly these 'training' sessions say way more about you than me. If you're jealous, I get it, but otherwise you are nowhere near my type. Too annoying, and whiny, and worthless" Lei uttered, dismissing the rabbit with a small wave of her hand as Saoirse made small mention of her being too shy to do it. Trying to ignore the faint blush she may have had from such teasing, she answered back.

"I am NOT shy, and I never will be! Sh- Fine, shut up!" Lei answered as she soon enough conformed, undressing and putting on the given rags and cheap wear to the best that her form allowed. She wasn't entirely comfortable with how bare it all was, a wrapped blue rag the only thing she could manage to use that wouldn't render her bare-bottomed. Whilst the rag loincloth did... barely enough for the front, her tail made it alone rather impractical from the back. Probably noticeable to Saoirse that what Lei was left dressed with looked like it could just so simply be pulled off with not a whole amount of effort, considering it was clear the minotaur was trying her best to cover up as best as she could with what little she had. Her chaos-cult tattoos and markings were easily noticeable all over her body without armour on.
leismol.png
"You can't expect me to solely wear this in public... " Lei uttered as she looked to the weights and chains Saoirse would have her put on to test her endurance. The minotaur would lightly tug at them.
"Couldn't have made it a little less tight?" she questioned, though soon enough Saoirse would have seen it as good to go as the minotaur very reluctantly came along.

The entire time, she felt the weight of her newly given burdens feel more dragging than her armour was, constantly mindfully moving and holding her arms crossed against herself wanting to avoid being stared at. This felt too weird at this point, not wanting to be looked at in such a vulnerable or revealing moment, having a quite embarrassed expression as she shiftily eyed around at strangers and such. Tapping her hoof against the ground, she'd feel herself growing ever more impatient now that she was stuck in such a way.

"Who cares, picky eater, hurry it up, just get any cheese, it all comes from the same place and stinks just as bad... " Lei grumbled, growing frustrated that Saoirse was taking tediously long both with shopping and whoever the scantily-clad cat was. From what she was hearing about fair treatment, it sounded like nothing but complete lies.

"I haven't seen any single bit of fair treatment, lying little rat. Just get this attention-seeking wild-thing dealt with so we can move on, I'm sick of standing and waiting around, just because you have a sick enjoyment for getting people naked doesn't mean you have to keep looking for people to do that for you. Or rather, take this one and let me go free. Then you can toy with this worthless thing that sounds like it has the personality of shoepolish and I can go do anything else without you or the rest of your pitiful pets wasting my time" Lei answered with some frustration as she was sat waiting around for Saoirse to get her discussion with Teti over with already, still half-mindedly trying to better cover herself now that she wasn't draped in usual armour.

Fenrir’s tail swayed slowly, left to right, a rhythm that mirrored his quiet satisfaction after receiving Saoirse’s approval. In return, he gave a deep nod, his sharp eyes focusing back on his work. The Wolfman moved with an unhurried grace from stall to stall, selecting both the essential and the non-essential foodstuffs for the new estate. His movements were economical, measured—everything in place, everything with purpose. Acquiring a shopping casket had certainly made the task easier, though he took pride in the methodical approach regardless.

The faintest wisp of a smell suddenly caught his nose, pulling his attention sharply. It was a tantalizing scent—kebabs sizzling on the grill, their aroma thick in the air. His keen sense of smell did not betray him; he could already picture himself sinking his fangs into the succulent meat, juices running down his throat. The thought made his mouth water, an involuntary growl rumbling low in his throat. He moved a furred hand up to his collar, pulling it slightly away from his skin, hoping to dispel the rising hunger gnawing at him. His feeding urges were nothing to scoff at, but control was a virtue he had mastered.

With some effort, he cleared his mind, pushing away the delicious fantasy. His gaze sharpened once more, returning to the task at hand. But as he prepared to continue, Saoirse returned—this time with Lei-Cao, whose once imposing armor had been replaced by little more than tattered rags. The sight of the Minotaur, reduced to such a state, drew a raised eyebrow and a low, amused scoff from Fenrir. He’d not concerned himself too deeply with the creature’s prior humiliation, but now, seeing her like this, he couldn’t help but feel a faint satisfaction. The rude Minotaur, brought low.

"Everything is going well, mistress," he reported smoothly, casting a glance over the assorted goods. "I’ve gathered a few specialties—salted shark meat, cow tongue. Both can make for exquisite dishes.” He paused, momentarily pensive as Saoirse inquired about cheese. His nostrils flared as he considered the market around them. "I haven’t seen any cheese so far, neither local nor imported… but—" His sensitive nose twitched, picking up a pungent scent cutting through the rest. His lips curved slightly. "—I believe I’ve caught the scent of some strong ones. That way." He gestured with his chin toward the distant stall where the aroma was strongest.

Before they could move, a new interruption came—a feline figure slinked toward them, eyes fixed on Saoirse. Fenrir’s skepticism was immediate, his gaze narrowing as he appraised the cat-prostitute. His instincts bristled, and his sharp senses began evaluating every word, every movement, attempting to sift truth from deception using his [Insight F]. If this cat was playing any tricks or trying to manipulate his mistress, Fenrir would be the first to call it out.

When prompted by Saoirse, Fenrir was quick to respond, backing her words with a curt nod. "Indeed. The mistress has been nothing but fair in her treatment of me. As long as you follow her orders, you can expect the same." His gaze shifted to Lei-Cao, dismissive and cutting. "Don’t listen to the Minotaur’s mooing. She finds herself in this situation because she didn’t follow orders." A hint of amusement flickered in his eyes. He was beginning to suspect that Lei-Cao enjoyed her punishment, and perhaps the Minotaur was more of a masochist than she let on.

Fenrir’s tail flicked slightly at the thought, his satisfaction growing as he waited to resume his diligent work.

The one called cow really was a giant flashing signal fire of a master that could be counted on to be light on punishments and low on demands. She did seems to want to train and work with the slave over simply make them into what she wanted. her own wording seemed to imply that as well talking about making something flourish over how best can you serve me or make yourself worthy of being my slave. It was almost like the little master wanted to be a teacher of her slaves over their owner, well it took all kinds some did want happy slaves that were of great skill, just more were more forceful about what it would be regardless of what the slave wanted. Her demands were of course more than fair find a talent and prove it was worth it, though she had a look that told Teti she already was looking for excuses to keep him. Still the cow was complaining about nothing in his eyes chains and revealing clothes, heck that might just be the starts of a fun night for Teti. the appraisal was slightly annoying as it felt odd and he couldn't play around with the question is he man or woman.

" Oh my dear lady " he switched to lady from master finding that was more maid like from what he had seen " Such a light punishment only proves your compassion. Were your cow to belong to anyone such back talk would merit the tearing out of the tongue, the flaying of the skin, the application of branding irons. To make her punishment just to wear such less than revealing clothes and carry chains to train is a showing of how even in punishment you are thinking steps ahead" He purred against his words laced with [ Cat's Meow]

Buttering people with slightly altered truths was a skill you needed to survive in the entertainment and bedroom markets. You couldn't just call someone good you had point out the good and gloss over any bad. Being kind to your slaves could be a mistake as while the others might be loyal this cow might never learn until she was nice and broken. Yet Teti just highlighted how kind Saosire was for not doing that. The knight seemed loyal without being broken so she was also secretly a show of the bunny girls skill.

" In you wisdom you even figured out what you were missing so quickly " Though Teti had planned to lead her to it more if he needed to, a maid was something he could be no hard outside work, just hose work and perhaps bed work. Though house work was something he wasn't skilled in he felt he would get away with that. " Truly would are smarter than who my parents wished to sell me to, i am sure he will forever regret what he has missed out one once you help to cut down my rough edges. If he were to have gotten me i am sure there would have been no such desire that you show in his mind, just desire in the sheets" Teti giggled his words always laces with his ability as he purred " Though you will find if you were to travel to the desert caravans that all that bound me to who foolishly paid up front was a hand shake and some words you will be the only owner of me as far as laws are concerned " He teased

" As for what is in me that need your guidance, we already know what you lack in your group. a maid and while i am willing my skills are lacking truly i could use your guidance to become a truly great maid able to protect their dear lady and serve her in all ways " The smile on Teti's face contorted just enough to leave the implication of night services clear without saying it. As he spoke the wolf man returned and spoke as well confirming once again that saosire was the right pick. " Besides you are not just some person i bumped into here, i have been watching dear lady since the weapons shop, i have been looking for a good master and i have found you. So what do you Say my lady want a cute little cat maid?" he asked despite his words and hopefully inflating of Saosre's ego the bunny girl still had the final say and even the best with silver tongues could be foiled by a random whim.

Ryuuji Kamimura

Elvario Elvario Megilagor Megilagor
Ryuuji gave Jastira a nod of acknowledgement, glad to see that he’d probably recovered some of how she was feeling in a positive way.

“If it’s clear it’s been beneficial to me, I don’t see why we can’t argue the same for you, I imagine there’ll be case use in enhancing your performances potentially and the use of componentless magic could add to the elegance.”

When Ryuuji heard the next part, he slowly nodded, “While that observation may be astute, I wouldn’t recommend making it in her presence or around those who may be inclined to parrot it to her.”

He’d say, just wanting to make sure Jastira knew well enough not to have loose lips with that sort of thing. They should assume just about anything they say could theoretically get back to Saoirse, that much was clear to him, and he doubted she’d love hearing that Jastira felt it was easy to get what she wanted from her if she framed it properly.

“Interesting how that sort of..practice continues even in the West Empire, as it’s something I Know to be true.” He’d respond to her bit about the spicy food challenges.

“Naturally it’d make sense you’d want to protect your voice, it’s certainly an asset.”

One could assume Saoirse had perhaps experienced that.

Ryuuji listened when Jastira mentioned that bit. “Frankly, I assumed that most fae were vegetarian..like many in the realm as a human I have not been around many.” Ryuuji in fact had largely gotten that assumption based on the copious amount of Japanese media and fantasy media featuring elves back in his world as being such, but he wasn’t going to say that much.

“Well they have certainly ascended.” He’d merely comment, finally on the matter, after she mentioned seeing Saoirse eat hare before. Ryuuji did know that even so a good portion probably found it taboo.

He’d look at the sketchy looking butcher, “I imagine it depends how and where it was sourced..but based on where we found the Cow I Suppose that isn’t an unwise thought.” Ryuuji felt just like actual China and the wet markets one needed to be cautious, but unless they were serving up human meat, he wasn’t really sure if he cared much as long as it was safe and wouldn’t get him ill personally.

“She’s right, using those effectively in a dish would please her.” He’d confirm about the blueish hue onions. “Just note that they’re a bit more sour than other kinds.”

Unfortunately Ryuuji wasn’t really sure what a good replacement for Cilantro was, as he wasn’t really a culinary background type person, but thankfully they found the others, hopefully Diego was resourceful enough.
Ryuuji understood those basic words in Spanish as far as what they were conceptually but what he had in Japan out was probably a deal different than the traditional cuisine which Diego was capable of.

When they had about all the ingredients for what Diego needed so the group could have some proper food, Ryuuji looked at what Jastira spotted and was mentioning.

Even with Jastira’s persuasion and deception to convince Ryuuji it was a good idea more than likely because she was a fan of sweets more than anything, the more luxury good dessert like nature of the food made him want to investigate it a bit further, even if she made it sound like an appealing prospect, perhaps Saoirse would be in a celebratory mood with the successful acquisitions as of late, something else to consider.

So for now He’d make his way over to the mage sort, another rarity if it was a beast from Ryuuji’s understanding, at least compared to other groups.

Given they were doing well on Time, Ryuuji figured he could try to work some less literal magic on the situation.

Ryuuji would use a combination of Business E + Etiquette E + Seduction F, giving the mage stand person a disarming smile, giving a respectful bow.

“<I couldn’t help but notice your wonderful looking fruit jelly cubes, and I was wondering if the current price is truly fixed, or if we could come to an arrangement where you get to make a nice sale and I get to go back to my Mistress, Saoirse Desrosier, you may have heard of her or not but nevertheless, I could put in a good word for your product, and perhaps should she enjoy your carrot flavored one, it would see a more regular occurrence at social events..>”

Ryuuji approached this pragmatically, figuring he’d try to make an appeal to the prospect of impressing upper class people and the seller gaining more business and reputation if they were to give him a more reasonable price, knowing how these sorts of businesses needed to gain an audience particularly with those who had deeper pockets when they were in the business of selling less essential goods like sweets.

Worst case scenario he couldn't get a good price and might just need to walk, otherwise he hoped that Jastira's judgement didn't prove to be ineffective when it came to having a good sense of what Saoirse might like, realistically as she had some manipulative inclinations it was likely she was learning whatever she could about Saoirse to know her likes and dislikes to fully leverage them, much like what Ryuuji had been trying to compartmentalize, so the risk wasn't as great as it could be thankfully.

Saoirse Desrosiers

She sighed as the cow started to mooh yet again. She'd ignored her all the way through, until they'd met back up with Melia, Fenrir and Teti. At that point, there was one thing she wished to make clear, not just to the Cow, but also to her latest and potentially future slave. She did pride herself on her fair treatment of her slaves.

First things first, however, which was addressing one particular comment. “Seeing how they're even bigger without the armour covering them, I've got half a mind to ask you to get me the dairy products.” She'd answer. “Though you've failed to even prove me that you can get your hands on milk yet.” She'd reply, shaking her head. “So I guess hoping to find something halfway decent here will have to do for now.”

As for how fair her treatment was, she sighed. “With some of the things you've said to me, you'd have been butchered by many others. So perhaps I am not treating you fairly and should've been far, far more harshly on punishing you. Or perhaps I should've sold you to a butcher instead?” That wasn't the most important part, however, as she'd approach the Cow. She'd prefer getting a feel of her stomach muscles, but seeing their height different, the thigh muscles would have to suffice. Placing a hand on them, between the weights, she'd nod to herself. “Have you truly not noticed yet? Ever since you've been able to eat well, sleep well and join me on missions, you're already grown stronger than when I first met you alongside the road. You even seemed a tad more intimidating and athletic. Then, the gear I bought you and what you've picked up form it seemed to have taught you a new ground-breaking technique you used in the desert, no?” (29/7/24 upgrades, marketplace deal) “Besides, haven't our more private and specialized training sessions gotten you to pay a bit more attention and started to allow your body to mend itself?” (8/7/24 upgrades) “It's true that not all of that were the results of direct and labour intensive training, but even you should know that having become in my possession has played a huge factor into such developments...”

That was the 'good' side, now it was time to talk to the Cow about the flip sides. “So let's think this through, shall we? Let's say I honour your request to be let go. Let's assume that I'd be extraordinarily generous and give you back your previous armour and weapon, the ones I obtained when you signed your life away. After that, all our official ties would be cut. You'd be left right here, right now, on the market, with your old armour and a broken mace. Of course, I should technically ask you to pay back all the times I bought you food, shelter and other necessities, but let's say I'd even be kind enough to wave those fees. I surely wouldn't buy anything else though. So you'd have not a penny to your name. How long do you think before you'd be desperate to find food again?”

She squeezed the Cows thighs a little. “How long before such gorgeous muscles start to deteriorate? Your body cannibalizing its own muscles in an attempt to keep functioning, despite food shortage? How long before having to sleep outside will start ruining your increasing resistance? How long before someone else would find you and trick you into slavery again? Someone that wouldn't be kind enough to ignore your insults, but who'd cut out your tongue or sell you to a butcher? How would you even train for being a warrior, if you'd not even have the money to buy yourself proper equipment and gear?” She shook her head.

“Not only that, but what if you'd get injured? You'd not be able to find a healer or afford one. Your weary body might recover at first, but who's to say how long that will keep happening when you're without decent food or sleep for longer and longer? How long before you'd wish, dream about having a healer like Ryuuji on hand again, who can simply wave away any pains and injuries for you?”

She looked at Melia. “Then, imagine trying to find people to train with? Do you really think you'd be able to find sparring partners like Melia? People who'd be willing to deal with you? If you didn't find any before meeting me, do you think you'd find any after? You'd be foolish.”

Next, she'd look at Fenrir. “Are you sure you don't even wish to see what Fenrir is capable off? I believe he may be one of the best purchases I've ever made, for I see a potential in making him flourish that will, in turn, allow him to help all others flourish. Imagine having a butler so competent that he can see what you need to keep your training going before you even ask for it.”

The next one wasn't around, but she figured she might as well play all her cards. “Let's say that, despite all that, you manage to somehow achieve a grand deed. You manage to defeat some monster. Who's to say that others won't claim credit for it? Who's to say they won't steal the honour from an unknown cow? Who's to say they won't cast you away like trash, like you might've experienced before? I can promise you that I strive to make you flourish and that being able to display your might will be more important to me than it would be to anyone else. Think of it, when you've trained to become a great warrior in my service, I'll have Jastira sing songs of your great deeds anywhere we visit, to make it clear how great of a warrior you are and whom I made flourish.”

She'd take out the contract she'd had the cow sign. “So, tell me. Should I rip it up right here and now? Have you test your luck on your own again, without any of my support? It'd be a waste to see you die in a ditch somewhere, starving to death or dying of some disease or from eating poisonous berries, but if that's truly what you desire, perhaps it'd be for the best. Perhaps, in this one time, I was wrong to wish to make you flourish?” She'd await the Cow's answer, contract in hand. That said, she would've used [Sign Here Please] to make it sound like a very bad idea to end the contract. [Sign Here Please] - [Intimidation C, Persuasion C, Law C – Character puts up an argument to get something to sign a deal. - Grade C – 3 Post Cooldown.

The far more cordial slave, Fenrir, did make her raise an eyebrow when she heard him growl from a distance (Heightened Sense [Hearing] F). “Is something the matter?” Truth be told, she didn't know as much about wolf-beasts to know exactly why they'd growl. Wasn't that normally when they thought something was a threat? She wondered whom or what he might've been growling at in that case.

Truth be told, she was rather surprised by his choices of products. “I see. I'm surprised. It seems your former master had you learn a fair bit about fine dining.” The next bit was a pleasant surprise, however, as it seemed his nose had picked up on exactly what she was looking for. “That is a surprisingly useful skill.” She'd comment, both to herself and Fenrir.

As they'd follow the scent to the cheese stand however, she sighed. Glossing over it all, she eventually shook her head. “None of these are even worth negotiating, I fear.” The price compared to the quality was not something that she'd ever deem worthwhile. She looked over at the cow again, wondering for a moment, before sighing. “Let's go see if they have some nuts instead. Those from the southern See are often the best quality.” They would indeed have some, not even that far off. Some types, Fenrir might even recognise as from his previous dealings. Especially the apple sized macadamia-like nuts were known to be a favourite in the Western Empire, some of which were on sale for a pretty fair price.

Although Fenrir likely noticed the [Seduction F] and [Persuasion F] in the Cat's Meow used by Teti with his [Insight F], the other bits (without skill usage) would otherwise be up to his own interpretation. She had to suppress a chuckle at hearing Fenrir vouch for her. How long had he been in her employ now? An hour or two? To hear him back her up already was truly delightful. It also gave her an idea, when he mentioned the Minotaur not following orders. “On that note, Fenrir, could you help watch her so that she doesn't slack off? These weights will train her muscle the best so long as she doesn't start slacking off her posture, so feel free to remind her to stand straight and not slouch or slump.” She wondered if that'd be the type of task that would get her butler to wag his tail or not. He did seem at lest somewhat interest in this punishment, oddly enough, or perhaps interestingly enough.

That reminded her of another thing. “Oh, right, on an unrelated note, we should get some fur-care products before we leave.” She'd ran out a while back. “We've returned from a trip to the desert and it's been a nightmare to get the sand out and I fear the sun's done some damage.” She wouldn't be the best example if she started to look dishevelled. “Besides, perhaps I'll soon have a maid to help use it.” She stated, looking at Teti. She wondered which bits were more of a 'maid' job and which were more of a 'butler' job. Perhaps it'd be for both? “Unless I'd have a butler offering to do it and we'd have to see which one would do it best.” She felt like there was a thought there. Inspiring a slight, hopefully friendly, rivalry between those two might help both of them strive to flourish. Honestly, the idea of trying to make someone flourish in servitude was becoming more and more intriguing.

That said, there were sincere troubles regarding Teti that would need to be addressed first. Or perhaps second, as his mention of punishments did make her raise an eyebrow. “Such punishments are not entirely excluded, but I do value my property enough to abstain from damaging it and risking impeding its ability to flourish without a very good cause.” She'd lean in, the [Cat's Meow] having some effect on her willingness to whisper something else to Teti. “Although for this Cow, I do believe the whip might end up becoming a reward and the paddle a pleasure.” She wasn't even entirely sure why she'd added that, but the fact he'd made her say it intrigued her.

Seeing how she'd already been debating what she should demand of a butler, she'd been thinking of what the difference between butler and maid were for a while, so drawing the conclusion she was missing one wasn't exactly the most difficult. “I shall be honest, you found me pondering the exact duties of a butler and how they'd compare to a maid, so it seems almost as if your arrival was predestined.” She figured she could at least share that much. Including to see if it'd spur up that friendly rivalry that she hoped would stimulate both of them to flourish in servitude.

Sadly enough, the next bit made her raise an eyebrow. “First, I shall agree that using someone merely 'in the sheets' would be a mistake.” She stated, shamelessly looking at his hips, as they were radiating truth. “Though I can see why some might be allured.” She'd look him in the eyes next. “That said, your interpretation of laws is... lenient at best. For all intends and purposes, if payment has been made, you are an escaped slave. You're merely lucky enough that the contract has been unfinished, meaning the Guardian Beasts haven't caught you.”

A deep sigh escaped her lips. “Within my trade, a certain level of trust and courtesy between fellow traders is vital. If I were to simply take you, I might severely decrease my standing among my peers, make myself into an enemy of whom originally wished to buy you and even get into legal trouble. However, you do intrigue me, so I am willing to find a way to make this... work out.”

When he told her what he'd need, she'd subconsciously stomp her foot. A rabbit-like thing that she tended to do when she got particularly excited about a certain prospect. “All ways?” Now, that could lead to a lot of very fun experiments. Including some that probably got a lot closer to what he'd originally been sold off for. “Intriguing. That would help me explore how many opportunities there are for flourishing in servitude rather thoroughly and with little to no limitations.” She'd made up her mind. “Yes, I believe I do wish for a maid. Though I'd rather never hear you use 'little' again.” Honestly, she hated it with a passion when people that were taller than her referred to themselves as 'little' like just now. That'd almost made her want to kick him. If he wished to inflate her ego, he'd achieved the polar opposite with that one comment.

“I know a Slaver's Guild office nearby. If you wish to put your faith in me, you'll join me there and we'll get your situation sorted the legal, cordial manner.” That was going to be the cat's final test. Should he join her there, in the faith she wouldn't just report him, that'd be good enough.

Assuming he did, she'd head to the Slaver's Guild office and once there, she would be doing a lot of paperwork that'd simply be summarised due to being boring. Simply said, she'd report the escaped slave, but use some legal loopholes (Law C) to claim (temporary) ownership over him. Then, she'd leave a decent sum of money (Wealth D) for the one who previously wished to buy him to come collect, should he decide to forgo his claim on Teti for the sake of just finding someone other folk to drag into his bedroom instead. She'd also add a letter that would steer him into making the latter seem the easier, better option (Persuasion C) as just taking the money and finding a newer, fresher, less likely to run-and-complain slave would surely fit his needs better. She'd also grease some pockets in the Slaver's Guild itself, to make it sure these records were 'kept' in a more favourable way to her (Wealth D), as even though she was [Lawful], she did know that the 'Law' tended to be interpretable and that money tended to make its interpretations come out more favourable to her.

With all that taken care of, she'd eventually meet back up with Ryuuji, Jastira and Diego.

“Naturally.” She'd simply add, regarding the component-less bit. As for the flourishing = profit bit, she would chuckle. “I am aware, though I feel like most of us already realised it, except for maybe the Cow. Which reminds me, do you know if we're still under orders to try tug her tail?”

Regarding the spicy foods and protecting her voice, she'd nod to both. Neither needed much further explanations. The vegetarian bit did, however, as she'd tilt her head. “I think some might be, though I don't think most? From what I know, there's three general ways to look at it. Living in balance with nature means you eat what's excessive, be it animal or plant. Alternatively, respecting all living beings means you eat only what can be given without ending the life of a living being, which means that even some plants might be off limit if they'd be eaten whole. Or, finally, you simply don't care so long as some level of balance is maintained. I personally agree with the latter.”

As for watching the butchery here, she would nod. “Yeah... I guess in the West Empire, becoming a vegetarian might not be the worst idea.” Those were some of her thoughts on it. “Then again, those desert pigs weren't all that bad..” She did recall that tantalising scent of bacon. Was she already becoming corrupted by this place?

Ice Mage
YKBieVb.jpeg

The Ice Mage looked rather surprised by Ryuuji's approach. “<Oho? The Human slave speaks Beastial? How good, how good!>” She'd 'compliment' him in a tone that seemed to be looking down on him instead.

“<No prices are fixed, they can always go up!>” She'd reply with a devious smile upon his request. “<Desrosier... Desrosier... the rabbitfolk? Carrots for the rabbits, I see, I see.>” She chuckled.

Leaning forwards, she'd make him a counter-offer. “<Selling to slaves is normally bad for business, as any luxury product would just look cheap, you know.>” She'd explain. “<I'd normally have shooed you off ages ago, but your beastial is good and your words sound fancy.>”

Her tail flicked for a second. “<Here's a deal. Buy one of all ten flavours for the price of 9 and I'll throw in a spell that keeps them nice, fresh and cool for the next hour for free as well~>” It'd be a fair bit more than they'd need, but it probably wasn't too bad a deal either. Especially since she'd be dealing with them to begin with. “<First and final offer!>” She'd add indicating this was a 'take it or leave it' situation, as she likely didn't wish to see bargaining with a mere slave.

Jastira hadn't understood a whole lot, but she did feel like a deal was being struck. “I say we take it! Also, assuming the mistress won't want it, I'd like first pick of the cherry flavour.” Jastira would voice her thoughts on the matter. The other flavours being sugared-carrot, watermelon, sweet-lime, sea-salt-cream, strawberry, apple, spicy-tomato, honey-ginger and blueberry.

Should he take the deal, she'd sell to him without further issues, though waving him off short after so that she'd not be seen selling her luxury product to mere slaves for longer than needed. After which they would be able to meet back up with Saoirse, who'd be returning from the Slaver's Guild after getting Teti's paperwork in order.

OOC: This is the last round for this part. Be sure to add in anything else you'd want to try get Saoirse to by your character and/or you want to have said/done in the market.

Also, for when I put it up for grading, please put the following information at the top of your post:
1 ) Any active point boosters your character has. (Attentive Student, Narrative Booster, Devour, etc.)
2 ) Any [Wanted] Or Criminal Titles your character has. Which I really hope is none as I'd rather not have missed any.
3 ) Any special skills or assets that are relevant during grading. (Buddy skills, Masterwork skills, complex assets.)

[Attentive Student E]

Fenrir remained silent, his ears perked slightly as he listened to Saoirse explain to Lei-Cao why breaking the slave contract would be a dire mistake for the Minotaur. His sharp mind parsed through every word, every nuance, though he hadn't been in his mistress' service long enough to grasp the full depth of her reasoning. Still, on the surface, everything she said made sense—each point a logical consequence of disobedience.

When Saoirse mentioned him, Fenrir's stance shifted subtly, his posture straightening, a silent affirmation of the praise. Her words stirred a sense of pride within him, a quiet flame kindled by the acknowledgment of his potential. The expectations placed upon him didn’t intimidate; rather, they mapped out a clear path for his future. He would rise to meet them, no matter the effort required. His duty was to serve and excel—that was his purpose, and he would see it through.

"It is nothing, mistress," he replied when Saoirse inquired about the low growl that had slipped from his throat. "Just a tantalizing smell that my nose caught." He resisted the urge to glance toward the kebab stall again, forcing himself to focus. The temptation had been conquered, and he would allow no distractions.

"My previous master had a penchant for more... exotic plates and specialties," Fenrir continued, as the conversation turned to his culinary skills. "Through that, I gained experience with many kinds of dishes." Yet, even as he spoke, the mention of ‘fine dining’ brought a flicker of unease to his eyes. He felt the weight of those expectations mounting, and he resolved to improve his [Domestic Arts] to match them. He would not falter.

However, disappointment tugged at his heart when he found that the cheese he had detected was of subpar quality. His wolf ears drooped slightly, a rare outward display of emotion. He committed the scent to memory, a mental note to avoid it in the future. When his mistress shifted the focus to nuts, Fenrir brightened a bit, nodding thoughtfully. "Certainly, nuts from that region of The See are quite esteemed. Their flavor is distinctive," he noted, already envisioning how he could incorporate them into future meals.

Spotting a nearby stall with an assortment of nuts, he wasted no time in approaching it. He recognized several varieties, especially one that was a favorite delicacy in the West Empire. After carefully selecting a range, he placed them into the shopping casket, satisfied with his choices.

As the conversation returned to the cat-prostitute, Teti, who approached with an offer that bordered on seduction, Fenrir’s ears twitched. He picked up on the honeyed tones of the cat’s words, recognizing the subtle layers of [Seduction F] and [Persuasion F]. His eyes narrowed slightly, but he said nothing, watching carefully. He would speak only if deceit was detected, or if his mistress required his support.

Saoirse’s next command brought a flicker of satisfaction to Fenrir’s expression, barely concealed as a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. She had tasked him with overseeing Lei-Cao’s posture, ensuring that the Minotaur bore the added weight with proper form. His tail swished behind him, betraying a touch of excitement. Schooling his features back to neutrality, he inclined his head. "Certainly, mistress. I will make sure that Lei-Cao doesn’t hunch or slack during this strength training." He then added, voice measured, "If simple reminders do not suffice, what sort of measures may I employ to ensure her... proper discipline?" His tone was polite, yet there was an undercurrent of sharpness, a hint of eagerness to understand the boundaries of his role.

When tasked with procuring fur-care products, Fenrir prepared to set off, but the conversation took another turn—a challenge, almost, between him and Teti. A competition over their respective skills as a butler and a maid. Fenrir’s ears perked, and his lips curled into a small, confident smile. "Nothing would please me more than to assist with the product usage, mistress," he replied, his tone even yet assured. "As I’ve vowed before, my goal is to serve and excel at it, fulfilling any and every need." He cast a sidelong glance at Teti, his smile widening just a touch, a silent acknowledgment of the contest between them. With that, he turned, setting off to secure the fur-care products, a renewed sense of purpose guiding his steps.

When Alister and Teti would go on and on for how much they'd enjoy to mindlessly serve Saoirse as nothing more than unrespectable pets and objects, rolling her eyes and groaning quietly at the prospect of being stuck listening to two even more insufferably obnoxious followers of the rabbit. Someone as stale as Melia was already enough for one brick-wall of a variety of expression.
"Oh blah blah, you absolute vermin rats of the world truly have nowhere else to go or better to do. Not even the Gods and elements of Chaos have a single ounce of appreciation for your hideous hides which you take pride in the shame it brings you. You both are truly Godless and forever unblessed souls, forever lonely and worthless.  You are a mutt of a dog whose owner never loved whimpering around for even a single speck of positive affirmation, and  you are a worthless wretch of a boy who can't even manage to pretend to be that of a real woman such as I. Don't you even bother trying staring at me, you worthless dog" she answered back at the two as she expressed her hatred for Alister's given instruction to watch over her posture, Lei's glare returning back at Saoirse as the rabbit would once more go on about Lei's ability to get her milk like another repeated 'cow' insult. Though eventually this time, she was able to put together the asset-size comment with the insult to finally put together the answer she was looking for earlier, before eyeing the rabbit with disapproval and disgust.

"Again, I'm a minotaur. Plus, how would I ever do something as weird amd embarassing like that around anyone? I've been stuck following you all the time. It's not like you even have containers or any prep for something so stupid. Hell, you probably wouldn't know minotaurs can't make milk, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard" Lei argued back, before being spoke to via a long and extensive conversation from Saoirse. The minotaur honestly felt her hearing fading into complete white noise at how long the bunny had been speaking, barely picking up on a few things that felt like completely unreasonable arguments.

"Oh please, I've felt more starved and untrained than ever since I came to meeting you. All the improvement I did was fully on the part of myself, it's not like a trip to meet your completely unloving and unimpressed parents did anything to help, and believe me that was the most difficult experience I've had being stuck with you. I would've died of sheer boredom if I stuck around any longer. The only time I've managed to get any semblance of training out of you is by manually pushing you enough to 'punishing' me. Is that all you can manage? Your highest form of torture is but a mere workout for me?" Lei answered, glancing to the other slaves as Saoirse mentioned them although not being entirely impressed by her reasoning.

"I couldn't care less what happens to the rest of these lifeless mouth-breathers, the only reason they haven't said anything back against a measly little half-pint like you is that their self-respect and self-worth is so rock bottom low that they either don't care to or are too afraid to. I don't think they've learned a single thing from you, but they're too numb in the brain to even comprehend it. Unlike the rest of your brainless herd, I am a black sheep in comparison to the rest of these  things" Lei answered on, feeling like what Saoirse would continue to say wasn't entirely helping at all with the argument.

"You mean like you claiming to be the reason of any of my improvements, or these meaningless pets wasting my own time that could be used better?" Lei asked, raising an eyebrow as the rabbit mentioned about others stolen honour and claims from the minotaur. She shook her head once more on Saoirse speaking on valuing the minotaur's success.
"You've been trying to demean me and keep me from doing anything actually beneficial the moment we met, you're the worst liar imaginable. I doubt you could do anything to train me no matter how hard you tried, I don't think you could train any of your little slaves. I think you're a useless little rodent whose never faced a single challenge in their entire life and gives up at the first sight of it. Hell, I could make something infinitely more of any of your pets, yet you keep them wandering around doing meaningless chores and wasting their life away" Lei huffed as soon enough she held her head up high, not wanting to further acknowledge ramblings from the rabbit as it felt like there was nothing at all the tiny one could have to say that'd even mildly convince her. Up until mentioning of letting her go free, of which leaving the butcher didn't entirely go so well. And the place before that, and the other place before that. And then the other places before those. Entirely, she believed wholeheartedly in abandoning this lost cause of a slave group and convincing the rabbit to rip up the contract, but that would leave a matter on where to go next. She could always try the other regions and find an entirely fresh start, although that'd be one long trip.

Then, feeling like an urging from the darkest elements of chaos themselves had influenced her with righteous thoughts, she supposed she might as well try to get everything she could out of this endeavour. Smirking, she snuffed.
"I'll offer you a deal, to duel me right here and right now. And I mean  you, not Melia or some stupid trickery. If you win, then I'll accept my loss rightfully. Clearly I wasn't good enough, and you would surely know better because you'd be able to best me in combat. I'll even let you enforce any of the harshest punishments upon me for as long as I live and I'll do whatever you wish, whether it be being your furniture, or carrying you no matter how far we travelled, or remaining so vulnerably exposed in public and undressed in the cold, or to even naught be more than 'Cow' in name and to make as much milk as expected for you or for profit, or whatever. All if you just best me in one duel, of which someone clearly as talented as you could do so" Lei smugly advertised, she felt an inner inkling from the aspects of chaos. She could feel the very essence of reality in her mind and veins, the fabric of reality would be rigged at the seams, and as a glorious herald as she nothing would end up ever going wrong for her.

"Of course, if I win, I'd be allowed to go free, you will rip the contract and acknowledge that I was right and you will forever remain as worthless as ever, as a complete failure and embarrassment. That, and you shall fairly pay for any transportation, place of stay, and food expenses I wish to request in order to take my departure onto the clearly most superior life and success. So, tiny rabbit child, how will it be? Are you too afraid as I'd expect, fear that you'd get yourself a little beaten and dirtied up by the great Lei-Cao of Warrior Fame and Legend? As the immortal and all-powerful Herald of Chaos I am, I'll keep all promises 100%, as I'd expect you should keep yours. Come on, shorty, cute little bunny-rabbit. I won't even use my mace, I'm not wearing any armour, I'm even hindered by weights. Come boost your ego and publicly shame and embarrass me for all to see in the open market, as you'd be able to do forever and forever to come as clearly my superior, if your quivering little toddler legs can even bring you to walk towards me~" Lei smugly answered with a smirk, offering and beckoning Saoirse to accept her offered challenge. Inside, Lei saw literally zero possibility that she could lose, the entirety of reality was rigged by her own deities of Chaos, she could feel it within her very veins.

Ryuuji Kamimura
Elvario Elvario Megilagor Megilagor

Ryuuji nodded, before addressing the next subject,

"Well our Mistress did not tell us directly she wished us to cease the activity and it is part of Lei Cao's training, so if you feel so inclined to give it a tug, I imagine she would find it appropriate."

He listened to Jastira's bit on the diet and nodded, "I see, I guess it's different than I initially thought if the diets are that diverse, while I understand your position, for myself I'm inclined to eat what I find pleasurable should it be available and permissible." That much was true for him.

"Ah..right those pigs we had quite a shocking display there.." He'd reference how he had smited some of the bandits.
===
Then there was the conversation with the mage seller, so she was willing to give a bit of a discount by giving one for free, under normal circumstances Ryuuji would have liked to have pushed the negotiations but it was apparent he probably wasn't going to get as far as he would have liked with the perception of being a mere human slave.

The only reason she was even bothering with him to begin with sounded like it was because he could speak beastial quite well now. The price going up potentially wasn't the best thing to hear, but thankfully this wasn't something they'd be stuck not having so the leveraging power wasn't the same.

Ryuuji looked to Jastira and then the seller, after hearing that was the final deal. Then he heard her encouragement and responded bluntly,

"This will be a bit of a gamble Jastira, but I'm sure you're already aware of that." Ryuuji replied under the view that even if Jastira's motivation was obviously based in some self interest, she too understood there was also the possibility to please their mistress and show initiative.

"However if we've played our card rights I can assure you that cherry one will be all yours if she does not yearn for it."

This was the sort of thing Ryuuji was generally pretty quick to shut down but in this case given the recent developments, it could pay off, taking initiative to show that he knew when it was an appropriate time for some celebration with the new gains, party morale was important for flourishing and one could make the argument that it would encourage hard work, Ryuuji had quite a few points to be made ready, depending on how Saoirse would feel.

"<Very well I'll accept your generous deal, thank you.>" He said with a smile, exuding some Etiquette F and leveraging some [Beast Charmer] title at the same time he then said before, going back to meet up on time with goods in hand.
===
Upon seeing Saoirse Ryuuji gave a low bow with Etiquette E

"<Our shopping expedition went quite well, Diego got a good deal of ingredients he needs to create the dishes he was hoping too at what appeared to be fair prices.>"

"<As for the interesting sweets, I managed to get a deal on them with a complimentary spell to keep them nice and fresh I thought they might be a most appropriate way to celebrate your recent gains and successes.>"

Ryuuji then would speak in a lower and softer tone and get closer to Saoirse, "<Furthermore beyond celebrating, with all the..most recent acquisitions I do believe that showing them some of the niceties they may get to enjoy from time to time should they serve you as they are supposed too, is not an..unreasonable approach to encourage flourishing, while simultaneously bolstering the group morale. As a result I do hope you find my reasoning satisfactory.>"

The cow as everyone called her really knew how to make a scene and how not to make friends. Really the list of things she knew how not to do was rather staggering. Still at least she would be easy to fool if she thought that Teti was buttering up his soon to be owner just because. He wanted a good impression from her and one could get what you wanted by shouting and insulting others. Teti had gotten what he wanted from somone who till the moment he showed up had not even known she wanted something. The best way to get your way was to make someone think it was all their idea.

The others vouched for how saosrie was a good mistress, but all the kind words in the world honestly equaled the cruel words of Lei being allowed. Though if she wanted to fight she should just asked to be a gladiator or something. Honestly she woukd be the first slave begging for their master to throw them in the meat grinder her had met.

" You know this milk thing does make me wonder if minotaurs don't make milk as Lei here claims what do mothers feed their babies? " Teti more or less asked no one " mind enlightening us Lei you must know your own peoples child care after all" Teti was completly ignoring her insults and even using at least part of her name. She might show no respect but if teti did it would speak to his control over himself. A personal attendant needed to be able to weather insults and jabs after all.

As fir his soon to be owner she seemed to see things from an intresting point of view when it cane to her slaves though she seemed to be as susceptible to his charms. Having grown up in a place where laws were suggestions outside of the rules of a caravan he of course had a diffrent view of the law. Qin Huang had paid abd teti by the caravan was his property and one had a responsibility to ensure their property themselves. He had forgotten that little rule. Still this was a test of loyalty and Teti was unlikely to get a netter deal he would take it. The term little seemed to be off limits.

" My apologies my lady ill make note of that word " he said though how actully sorry he was was up to debate but he would make note of that. He at least was not bring sarcastic about things. " I will of course follow you to the office, hopefully they don't have to drag Qin Huang in from whatever brothel or casino he is in for this " Teti sighed not having a high opinion of the man that had almost bought him. Though honestly Teti didn't find his vices that bad others did so it was better that was the reason and not Teti just didn't like his looks.

It was a tad surprising to hear the wolfman admit his stomach wasn't under his control. She glanced at the kebab stall, as she had an idea. “To reward you for honesty and a promising start of your career, or to abstain from risking to promote bad behaviour and lack of control over your urges. I shall have faith decide. Heads, luck favours your instincts. Tails, luck favours learning to suppress them.” She'd flip a coin. It landed tails. “Tails. It seems the temptation shall remain just that.” She'd state, as with that, enough was said on it.

She'd nod upon hearing about the exotic palates. “Very well, provide me with a list of the recipes you learned later, so that I can write down which ones are preferred, which ones are needed and which ones should possibly be added.” That would likely make things easier in the future. Other than dairy products, she wasn't the pickiest of eaters, so that should be good. Then again, she'd need her staff to be able to make honey-glazed carrot roast at the very lest.

“I'm glad you know.” She'd state, regarding the nuts. “If you happen to know how to roast them, that would be even better. If not, feel to ask and we'll get you a guide or cookbook for it.” For now, she'd just pay for the nuts, after a short back and forth with the person at the stall. Things tended to be cheaper when she didn't have a slave pay for them.

The wolfman getting excited from being told to watch the Cow was... another peculiar thing. She'd have to think carefully on how to leverage that in the future. “For now, simply relay them to me and I'll see to it that it gets taken into account later. In the future, we can come up with... other things. Oh, right. She is still under alertness training. The incident in that weapon store shows how much she needs it, perhaps more than ever. Any real warrior would not just let a weapon get stolen, after all. So feel free to attempt to tug at her tail in the future, when she no longer expects it. If she dodges, leave her be for the next few hours. If she doesn't, let me know she's still not alert enough.” She'd state, not yet wishing to make a final decision, not before she'd got both a better grasp on Fenrir and more leverage over the Cow. The only thing he'd be let in on was the still ongoing training she'd asked her other slaves to commit the Cow too.

The next bit, however, was even more surprising. Her foot subconsciously stomped the ground again. “Oho?” She stated. The catmaid offering the 'any and every' was somewhat to be expected perhaps, but the wolfbutler as well? That was certainly something. Perhaps she'd sparked a rivalry that'd bring out the best in them, but the perviest worst in her? “I shall remember that.” She'd add. Truthfully, her mind did wander places regarding 'training' opportunities for the both of them. Some more wholesome than others.

“Perhaps I will then~” She'd state, wondering if the fun of tugging the cow's tail would outweigh the risk of getting punched for it. She'd probably need to wait for Melia or Saoirse to be nearby to interfere. Just in case.

“I see.” She'd reply to Ryuuji, not sure what else to say on his somewhat questionably sounding diet. As for the pigs. “Indeed, they did seem to get roasted.” She'd add.

She'd nod in regards to the gamble. “I am, but a gamble here and there is the least bit of freedom we should keep to ourselves, no?” She'd ask, clearly having some of her own thoughts on the whole slavery situation.

Smiling, as she already knew Saoirse didn't tend to pick cherry, she counted her blessings. “Good.”

Saoirse Desrosiers

8gBjbx8.png

Saoirse was surprised when Ryuuji returned with the jelly sweets. That said, there was one thing she'd wish to rectify. “When speaking casually, you're free to use common, so that they can understand.” 'They' being Diego, Jastira and Melia in this case. The non-beastial speakers. She did prefer her own language, but rarely defaulted to it due to her slaves being allowed to listen in to most casual conversation. She was just that generous.

“Glad to hear though.” She'd say, regarding the shopping experience. “I see.” She was surprised by the initiative, but not unappeased. “Very well.” She'd state, picking the sugared-carrot one. “You're free to share the rest amongst yourselves.” She debated excluding the Cow for a moment, but decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

The next bit did warrant a reply in beastial. “<You're correct. I do appreciate you taking some initiative.>” It seemed their gamble had paid off. Jastira would stare down the cherry flavour with a passion.

Despite promising to be a charmer and a maid, Saoirse was a tad disappointed that Teti didn't seem to know much in a way of subtlety. Surely, confronting the cow in such a direct manner was a way to go about it, but she herself had been angling to get the Cow to come to such an idea totally 'by herself' without any external hints or suggestions. Or well, not so many that she'd not believe she'd gotten the idea herself. “I'm sure she has bigger worries, for now.” She'd reply to Teti, hoping that comment was enough to indicate he was going up against her own plans with the Cow.

She'd nod when Teti took note of the word. Good. Nothing more annoying than someone taller than you referring to themselves as 'little' like that. It'd indicate she was diminutive at best. His sincerity didn't matter too much to her, so long as he'd be smart enough not to pull that stunt again. “Assuming that's what he's preoccupied by, a good enough sum of money should easily keep him at bay.”

Once their business at the Slaver's guild was done, she'd sent him along with Fenrir. “Go pick out an outfit and supplies. I'll sent along Melia to pay for them, assuming you won't go overboard and tell her why some might be needed.” She'd state, leaving it up to him what items of interest he'd wish to obtain.

-----------

After they went out to go find them, Fenrir would be presumed to find the products, though he'd not know Saoirse well enough to know which ones she'd like or dislike, so he'd have to wing it based on what he could learn or gather. He'd also be followed by Melia, whom Saoirse had given some money to actually cover the expenses. Along with them would be Teti, needing his own supplies. Although, with his background, he'd most definitely find a few more dubious items while at, including some dubious-purposed potions, should he wish to try his luck in preparations.

Melia Hayward
GYOmdVf.jpg

Luckily for Fenrir, he'd get more than just someone to hold onto the money. “This... this... this... and this...” She'd be able to flawlessly point at every single product she'd ever seen her mistress use more than a few times. A side that the normally silent and stoic warrior hadn't exactly shown yet. “Help me figure out a reason to allow me to apply them, at least once and I'll owe you.” She'd say, having some sort of goals of her own that were still unknown to Fenrir.

Finally, it was high time to answer the Cow's mooing. As always, she ignored most of it. A practice she'd gotten rather used to by now. Yet also, like with most times, there were just a few things that were really tough to ignore. The Cow really managed to strike a chord, every so often at least. “If it's containers you need...” She would state, heading to a nearby store and returning with a casked full of them. “... There. I will provide you with what you need for your training or tasks, so long as you just ask for it and it's a clear enough necessity.” She did want to make that clear, not just to the Cow, but to the others as well. “That goes for all of you.”

She did chuckle at one bit. “I never claimed it was torture, did I? It seems you're the one that thought of it as such. Even if you claim it wasn't. Though I guess you'd be in need for another workout? I can provide.” She'd probably need to train her own batting arm as well, at this pace. Yet, well, whatever it took. That.. and it wasn't like she hated it. Or like she wasn't starting to enjoy it, perhaps a little... or a lot.

Shaking her head, she'd sigh. “If I gave up at the first struggle, you'd have been someone's dinner long ago.” She clicked her tongue. “Still, for you to be unable to attribute any growth of yours to all I've given you...” She shook her head. Perhaps, for the first time, she was genuinely disappointed. Having thought the Cow might at least realise that much. In fact, it might've even hurt her pride, the more she thought about it. “It seems you finally found a weak spot. I do ever so dislike it when all of my work is utterly unrecognised.” She did, without fault, believe that everything she'd had the Cow go through along the way and simply feeding her well was more than enough to explain the recent progress she'd made.

“I see.” She stated, upon hearing the Cow's deal. Sounding dead serious. Seeing how Melia and Fenrir had just left, this would be a good time to do something that was possibly the most stupid thing she'd done in a long while. Yet, well, the Cow had ended up hurting the one thing she could hurt. Saoirse's pride. “Very well... though, as you might feel, this marketplace is enchanted with a magic that keeps people pacified. As much as I'd love to fight you here and now, both that magic, the people going around and perhaps the guardian beasts, would get in our way. So, let's not waste time. We'll get out of the city proper in a straight line and find a spot outside the walls to settle this.” She looked at Jastira. “Wait here for Fenrir and Melia, tell them to meet me just past the north-east city gates.”

“Follow me.” She'd state to Cow and Ryuuji. She'd move at a brisk pace, wanting to continue whilst she was still fired up by resolve.

As they'd eventually find a more quiet spot outside the gates, she'd nod. “Good. Nobody and nothing should get in our way here. Let it be known to the [God of Law] himself that any harm inflicted upon me in this duel shall be by my own consent.” That was how serious she was taking this. “Should you win, you'll get to leave with your requests paid for, I'll admit you were right and I'll consider myself thoroughly humiliated.”

She gritted her teeth, as the loss would be great. Yet she'd been determined. “Should I win, we'll upgrade the seal that keeps you enslaved. It'll ensure that you should be unable to disobey any formal command. Just in case you'd ever even consider going back on your worth” She'd add.

Throwing her weapons aside, loosen up her shoulders. She knew that using weapons might actually put her at a disadvantage, having no training. Yet there was no need to point that out. Nor was the fact that her clothing was reinforced to function as light armour. She'd do the opposite. “If you're not using weapons, I won't either.” She'd make it sound like they were on even flooring now. Possibly not even a trick, seeing their size difference alone. She'd need at least some benefit and making use of the Cow's overconfident nature was one of those. It'd still not be easy. Then again, she recalled some of the gruesome training her father had put her through. The pain and scars of it remained in memory, even though her body wouldn't shown signs of it.

“Don't interfere. We'll fight until one of us is knocked out.” She'd look at the Cow. “I assume you're fine with a 'no surrender' rule?” She wanted this to be clear and definitive, no matter how dangerous this would be.

(OOC, I got permission to write the whole scene for both characters.)

The moment their terms were set upon, Saoirse would jump to action. Literally. Her Jump F would normally not take the Cow off-guard, as she'd used to before. This time, however, she launched herself straight at the Cow's chin with a headbutt. Needlessly to say, it'd hurt her own head as well, but the sudden impact to the cow's jaw would make her wobble. Saoirse immediately followed it up by kicking her knee-caps, though the Cow's weights ended up in the way, making her do far less harm than she'd hoped for.

It'd allow the Cow to get a good hit back in, sending the rabbit flying and grasping her stomach. A surprising amount of fire, hatred, passion, flared up in her blood-red eyes. From such looks alone, you'd expect a predator, not a hare. She knew the Cow would expect that hit to be enough and she knew she could would have her guard down as a result. So she'd lunge at the Cow again. This time jumping high enough to kick the cow straight in the nose. She heard a satisfying crack. That said, the Cow, used to pain, would be able to grab Saoirse's leg and slammed her into the ground.

This time, the rabbit heard something crack. Pain shot through her body as she felt some blood in her mouth. Hopefully she'd just lost a tooth or bit her tongue... That said, the Cow was still grabbing her own bleeding nose. As Saoirse got back up, she somehow gathered her strength once more, kicking with full strength at the cow's shins. Having observed the cow a lot with her [Mentor C], she'd seen the flaws in the latter's movements. She'd been caught off guard a few times just now, likely due to the cow not using a mace or her armour like usual, but she'd not let it happen again.

Despite her condition and the pain, she managed to dodge the cows attempt to kick at her and countered her by kicking at the cow instead. Making the impossible happen, she tumbled the cow over. With the cow falling, now was her best shot at going in for the win. Within a moment, the Cow would feel a rabbit foot stomp down hard on her neck. It'd feel like the air was nearly chocked out of her as it pressed down.

Yet Saoirse had underestimated the Cow's remaining strength, as the latter managed to push off the weakened rabbit. Yet not without gasping for air. The time she gasped for air was time Saoirse used to go in for another head-but, crushing skull against skull. Yet the angle and Saoirse's high vitality made her bear it ever so slightly better.

Even still, Cow stood... and managed to grab Saoirse, who would soon feel a gut-punch land hard enough to make her vomit out blood, spit and stomach contents. Barely holding on to conscious, she'd let the inner beast out. Biting hard into one of the Cow's fingers and nearly ripping it off with teeth that'd normally just pierce carrots and rip apart fine dining.

Cow, in pain and in shock, ended up dropping the rabbit... who'd summon her last strength, stomping at the Cows legs, she made the distracted cow fall once more. This time, she'd aim for her temple. Right at the side of the head. Hitting it perfectly, whether by luck or divine providence from the God of Chaos, it was lights out for the cow.

Breathing heavily, she'd look to confirm. She'd really done it... She'd actually gotten her slave to keep being around. She'd not be... a failure. “Gods... fuck! FUCK! IT HURTS! RYUUJI!” She called out. With the battle over, she wished for this god-awful state to end instantly. Good thing she'd bought a healer. Breathing more slowly as her wounds got mended and the pain faded, she'd try to tidy up her clothes. “When someone arrives, make them think that it's all hers.” She'd state, not wanting it to be too obvious how dangerously close she'd come to loosing this bet.

Trying to compose herself, she'd take a seat upon the unconscious cow. “I guess I made some ancestors proud, but I'd best not do that too often.” She stated. “Right, by the way, when you're healing someone, try to visualise their internals more.” She'd (Mentor C) point out. “I'm not sure what the frogs told you, but it felt like you were just throwing magic at me in quanitity, rather than quality, if that makes sense to you.” At the end of the day, it seemed she was still obsessed with training her slaves.

“Let's wait out here for the others. It shouldn't be long.” She sighed. “And needlessly to say, don't tell them more than needed. Which is only that I won.” She'd instruct him, just in case that wasn't obvious.

Summary of the Roleplay (Briefly summarize the events and main storyline of the roleplay.)
Saoirse and friends go to a Weapon Shop in Quang, where they encounter an odd deal. A butler and an estate are on sale after their owner sold them due to going bankrupt for believing his property was cursed and/or infested by monsters. They help stop a Chameleon Thief that's robbing the store as they go, get the deal and go to the market for others goods. There they encounter another Slave with dubious status that Saoirse takes to the Slaver's Guild for gaining (temporary, depending on how much of it warrants further RP) ownership. Finally, Saoirse puts cow in place in a true beast manner and the group heads for the estate.

Goal Achievement (Indicate whether the goal of the roleplay was accomplished. Note that this affects grading, as failed roleplays typically receive lesser rewards.)
The goal of obtaining an estate property with Wealth D was accomplished. (Though if future RP's would be needed still, the next ones are planned to take place exploring and further claiming ownership over said property by resolving the mysterious state its in.)

Criminal Acts Perpetrated (List any criminal acts committed during the roleplay, with links to the specific posts where they occurred.)
None occurred.

Lore to Establish (Detail any new lore you'd like to introduce, including brief descriptions for lore moderators, links to the posts where the lore was established, nation of origin associated with the lore.)
The central market place of Quang in the Ororoot empire exists of many stalls surrounding some bigger market halls. Selling just about anything you can come up with, whilst the Sentinel Beasts and Harmony Edicts keep even these busy and crowded streets relatively peaceful and calm.

Rules Utilized (Specify the level of rules used in the roleplay.)
No rules. | Some rules.| Advanced in-house (IH) rules
Basics of abilities, some dice rolls for catching the thief, predetermined non-rules fight for PvP at the very end.

Character Sheet Oddities (Mention any noticeable oddities or inconsistencies in character sheets related to their purchases. Note: There's no need for a full evaluation; simply highlight any unusual findings during your review.)
  • Ryuuji – Selective wasn't put in the abilities, even though it is an owned skill. | Various skills in general remain unused in abilities. | Sorting the skills by type might be neat/useful.
  • Lei-Cao – The sheet doesn't mention the meaning of acquired titles, making it tough to find out what they're supposed to do.
  • Diego – Nothing noticed.
  • Fenrir – Character might be eligible to get Area Knowledge as free native skill now.
  • Teti – Seeing the two free languages listed/mentioned would be neat.
  • Saoirse – Needs updated after system changed. (I know, having 10 sheets hurts when they're all in dire need of brushing up.)

Aftermath and Potential Lore Updates (Describe any potential aftermath or consequences based on the events of the roleplay. Suggest any updates that might be needed for the lore.)
Saoirse's group would've stood out, but probably not enough to leave to big of a lasting impact. Depending on if her attempt to quickly and easily resolve Teti's status is allowed or not, a future RP might be needed to make a formal dealing with his previous (attempted) owner to avoid legal hassles.

Narrator Bonuses (Recommend any bonuses you'd like to award to narrators based on their performance.)
Fenrir; Chef's supplies, ingredients, [Totally Nuts] Cookbook. (Flavour rewards from things he'd presumably bought in the marketplace to help with his inbound duties.)
Teti; Maid outfit. Feather Duster. Questionably-Purposed Potions (provide no mechanical benefits). (Flavour rewards from things he'd presumably bought in the marketplace to help with his inbound duties.)

Additional Notes (Include any other observations or points you'd like feedback on or that require further commentary.)
For a future RP on this setting, I'm a bit curious on if I did things right enough or not. How 'intrusive' are the Harmony Edicts meant to feel and/or get in cases like Lei-Cao starting to rant/challenge in having her presumably forcefully calm down? How aggressive would the Guardian Beasts target potential troublemakers and/or would they pick up on people that escaped slavery before a deal was formally made?

Finally, it seems all nations have grades now on the lore page, other than West Empire. What would the assumed averages be in there? (Also, some of the links are broken see screenshot.)
