Fantasy [Private] El Stories

Ash
Ash felt ignored, he remembered that she said she didn't need comrades and it seems she went through with her word, he felt disappointed but glad at the same time that she was able to lend a hand. "Rain this is Ash, distract our guest while I try and regain control of my mana flow." Ash asked wanting to use this time to replenish himself.

As the three carried on, multiple demons stopped their chores or activities to look at the new arrival.

It had been a long time since someone new came into view in their eyes, but that was only momentarily before they continued with their work.

"In there." He whispered towards his escort towards his cabin. As they entered, the demon gently put him on his chair before saluting him.

"Bring some medical supplies, and a medic if they aren't busy."

"Yes, sir!" He scampered with his orders.

"You. Sit down." He used his chains to pull a chair for his guest and to bring them a little refreshment.

"Don't know if you guys drink or eat, but hope you don't mind this drink. You'd be amazed how difficult it is to find herbs that aren't poisoned." With a cup and a kettle, he poured a small drink.

"Before my medical staff comes by, let's start with this trade you speak of. I'm guessing you want something." He asked while drinking his tea, while his chains bandaged him with his current supplies.

Elesis

"So... I assume you guys are all together."
Elesis said eyeing the new elf girl that just fell from the sky. Why is she hiding herself like that?

"Come, Penensio. We're bringing them back to the town." Elesis transmitted through the party link.

"I would like you all to come with me." She said to three people and hissing lizard. Just as she said that the platoon led by Penensio marched to the top and surrounded the three. "I'd prefer if you didn't resist, I don't want any casualties."

Oblivio

"What I want is the support of the demons. In return, and very simply, I'll support your goals and grant you power."

He looked at the cup filled with a drink of some kind. His body was already tainted by corruption and even if it had any poison, his body would repel it. Without hesitating, he took a sip.

Rain
Upon hearing Ash's request, she felt indecision grip her again.

Elesis really wasn't going to harm them...yet. If he comes in, armor and axe in hand, they were all screwed. Not to mention that while her mana has fully recovered, she did not want to bring Xavier into anymore trouble than she already did.

She glances nervously at Rena and Xavier. What should she do? Is she right to assume that possibility?

"Please Rena, Xavier...please understand what I'm doing and follow along."

She attempts to speak normally, plastering a warm smile onto her face. The amount of soldiers that surrounds them intimidated her, but she must trust Ash.

"Before we go, Elesis," she says in a loud and clear tone, one that she hoped Ash picked up from their link. "I would like to sing a song for the dead bodies that have passed away tonight. There were some corpses down at the base of the tree, and honoring the dead is part of my duty. I did not have the chance to do so since the demons attacked the tree before I could."

She nervously waits for the knight's response.

"Ash, I hope you got that. Please do not do anything that would endanger us."

Ash
After Ash finished up he started heading up the tree, when he reached the top he saw knights surrounding his allies and this one stranger Rain brought along with her. "The Pyro Knight Elesis, known by the innocent as a protector of the peace, but to those who witness your actions you don't even give a fair trial and just assume." Ash said while tipping his hat to her.

Rena hid a smile when she caught the quick glance from the young healer. She had initially thought that Ash was an exceptional human but the look Rain gave her changed her mind. Although it was full of hesitance, she could feel the girl's determination. It seemed that she had unconsciously underestimated the willpower of the two people she had accepted as her companions. The boy with the pet lizard as well; Rena looked forward to seeing if he would be willing to join them.

As she juggled with her options to help Rain, the familiar gentleman arrived on the scene.

Oh, things are starting to get interesting. How will these kids wiggle out of this situation?

She relaxed her body and unsummoned her bow. Then, she simply stood there and observed.

'What's she going to do?'

Xavier stared at Rain, his brows furrowed slightly. From what he know about Rain so far, her singing does have an effect. He took note how Rena put away her bow and did loosen up a bit after she reassured him that things will go fine. Though he wasn't sure that Komodo will stay calm through this, the damn dragon would often stick out his head from the hoodie to hiss before retreating back in. It was comical for Xavier.

His lips twitched to a slight smile, amused at Komodo's behavior yet he nodded his head at what Rain said to the red knight.

"It would be nice if you do let her sing, give the dead a chance to rest in peace," Xavier said.

By the time Komodo stick out his head once again, Xavier reached over to shut his maw close. Now there was just the sound of nature all around as the pesky lizard was silenced. He felt Komodo trying to pull back but he didn't let go just yet. The dragon eventually gave up and a small growl rumbled deep in his throat before he went into silence.

Elesis

"A song for the dead?" Elesis questioned curiously, the red knight had her fair share of traps and the like from humans and demons alike. "I would like to respect the dead as much as possible... but for demon soldiers? I don't really think there's much merit in that."

"Penensio, things might turn ugly." Elesis sent over. She put her hand on the handle of her claymore ready to unsheathe at a moments notice. Penensio only gave her an understanding look. The other soldiers soon caught on to the message and slowly braced themselves

Rain
Sometimes, the similarities in this world are what catches her by surprise.

"Elesis Sieghart...even when we are transported to this world...you haven't changed a bit..." her other self tells her.

"It is not best if you come out again. Your memories have no use here, and gaining her trust is harder when I'm being difficult."

"Yes, I know. And also, your beliefs...it's best if you keep quiet about that. No one understands that burden."

"To deal with death, regardless of who or what it is...that is not something that anyone can understand, especially knights of justice. To be vulnerable to death, to be able to kill...it's a heavy weight on the soul. And while you and I have ended so many lives...we do it without the joy or thrill of battle."

"Since you're the one who's truly living, I do accept your beliefs. But for others, it's not that easy. Besides...I only hate one person in this entire world...but I do not sense his presence here."

"I'm well aware of that...but what to do with Elesis...?"

There was only one collective thought in their minds.

"Is she deaf?"

Snapping back to the outside world, Rain calmly shakes her head.

"No, Elesis. There are...human corpses at the foot of the tree. I would be more than happy to show it to you. Oh, and please relax. I merely wish to do my duty and then satisfy your curiosity."

"Maybe for once, your innocent and kind demeanor will help us out here."

"The support of the demons? *Whistle* That's a big thing you're asking. But which faction are you talking about? In case you haven't noticed, we're divided into three factions at the moment.

Those who want to conquer Elrios for their own gain.

Those who want to destroy this and that world for the sport.

And those who want to try to ease this world. I'm in this faction, in a way, since all of them take turns on me.

Now don't get me wrong, having someone from Henir with us is something very beneficial, that power and support can be put to good use, but we need more than that."
He then studied his features for a bit.

Those machines hovering next to him were calm for now.

"The council will understand if I tell them. In return, I'll get the support that you want, but I'm going to need something valuable. Something that we want."

Ash
He looked at he soldiers before him, glaring at them to move aside without even making eye contact, walking ahead with soldiers dividing themselves to open a path way for Ash he was able to reach his comrades.
"Hey Rain, it's been a while, I hope nothing major happened while we where gone." Ash said giving a light smile to Rain and Xavier. After a nice moment Ash turned around and stood directly in front of Elesis, "I don't mean to be rude but your 'assistance' wasn't very much help. You've come up here seeing humans kill demons and now you find us suspicious, I hear you despise demons but from the looks of it you have a rather soft spot for them if you are trying to arrest my comrades and I."

When Ash parted the soldiers surrounding her and her allies, she felt her other self grunt.

"Took him long enough."

"Rain..."

She greets Ash softly and introduces Xavier to him. Rain didn't realize that she was holding a shaky breath within her until Ash tipped his hat to her.

"You too, Ash. I'm glad to see that you're alright."

Closing the link to him, she lets Ash be in the spotlight.

"About Xavier...should we make him join us or leave him be?"

"I believe we should let him do what he wants. Asking him to join us after dragging him into a battle...that's not fair. If you want, I can ask him if he wants to join us, but we will not persuade him if he refuses."

"What a waste. He's pretty powerful, and don't deny it when I say that you're somewhat attracted to him."

"W-what?! No!"

"Well, he does remind you of that person."

"Who?"

"Nevermind. Just make sure you ask him at least."

Ash
While facing Elesis, Ash was trying his hardest to stay on his feet, even though he has restored his mana, his lack of stamina was taking it's toll.
"I really need to get some rest." Ash thought, while doing this he looked around the area for a possible escape route for him and his friends in case the situation got ugly.

Elesis

Elesis saw the boy with a hat walk up to through the crowd. Instinctively, she drew her claymore and she readied a ball of fire in her hand. "Soft spot for demons? She said eyeing the new guest. "Give me a break. I'll rip your heart out and eat for dinner, you monster. Then I'll cut your head off and leave it on a stake for all of the continent to see."

She looked around at the people in question. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Penensio give a small chuckle.

"Is what I would say if I was a demon supporter. But I simply want to invite you all back to camp, so I can get a hold of the situation and have decent report back to HQ."
Elesis said feverishly. She was getting tired of this constant disruption, she just wants to go back home.

Looks like Elesis is getting impatient. She never was one to have a long fuse... I just hope we can get this done without fighting. Penensio thought as he saw his commander start tapping her feet slowly, counting the seconds as if waiting for a timer to stop.

Ash
Staring at Elesis he checked that she wasn't going to try anything sneaky. "Well, I see no harm in it." Looking over my shoulder I waved to Rain, Rena, and Xavier.

"We'll heed the commands of this little girl for now, she means no harm, yet." Ash said with a glare.

Rena stifled a giggle at the red haired knight's response. From what she could tell, the girl was starting to lose her patience. On the side, Ash didn't seem to fare well either, as she can tell that his stamina had not completely recovered. Not to mention, Rain and Xavier looked like they were just barely standing upright.

They must have fought hard. Well, I'm not one to complain.

The injuries she received from Dust weren't light either. She seemed to be the healthiest of the group but she wasn't confident that she could hold the knights long enough for her friends to escape. Luckily, Ash seemed to want to avoid clashing as well since he was willing to back down, even if the fire in his eyes didn't die out.

"Now, now, since we've all come to a good conclusion, let's stop glaring at each other. Miss Elesis, was it? Do you mind putting away your weapon as well? We've already put ours away and it's hard for us to relax with you staring at us with such a scary look."

Rena smiled at the girl to show that she had good intentions.

'We?'

Xavier sighed at Ash's words, unsure if he should feel grateful or annoyed for being dragged in at random. He admits Rain and Rena were nice to him so far, yet he knows nothing of Ash. Nothing at all. He merely shrugged his shoulders, knowing he won't be able to get away with this. Even if he can, it would be rather difficult with troops around them. Xavier only prays for food anytime soon, he can feel his stomach being empty and it is making him weak.

Rain
Seeing as her other companions share the same mindset as her, Rain lets a grateful smile grow on her face.

Xavier, on the other hand, looks uncomfortable the moment Ash arrived at the scene. His dragon did not come out to hiss, but she could tell he wanted to run for it.

Feeling the need to speed up the process, Rain starts heading towards the exit of the treetop. She gestures for the others to come with her, still maintaining that serene smile on her face.

"It's been a long day everyone. Let's all have some lunch together and clear up the situation then. I'm rather hungry, and I need to check up on some of the injuries that I have spotted."

She directs her gaze to Rena and Xavier, as if to silently say that she needs to talk with them later.

Ash
Ash nodded his head in agreement. Walking next to Rain he placed his hand gently on her head, giving it a nice pat.
"You did well holding the line Rain, my offer from earlier is still on the table, I'll be paying your lunch and room." Ash said with a slight smile, keeping to his offer from yesterday to pay for one meal.

Rain
Rain lightly flushes when Ash pats her head. It's been too long since someone had done that, and she couldn't remember who was the last person to do so.

"I-It wasn't just me. Xavier helped me out a lot. I was hoping if, with your permission, we could offer him to join us."

She hears her other self laugh at her insistence to have Xavier join their party. "Rain, my dear, you can't be that humble."

Swatting her away mentally, Rain turns the subject to her debt.

"I'm grateful for your help. I'll start looking for commissions tomorrow to earn some money."

"You know...if you didn't blow your money on that obnoxious dress..."

"Your choice of new clothes isn't much better, Rain! My chest...my legs...what you picked barely covered them!"

"Well, that's what I'm used to. I am a seductress."

"I...like this outfit." Her tone suggests that she was defeated. Remembering that there are people around her, she starts looking everywhere nervously.

"Everyone...must have been staring weirdly at us...right?"

The cute interaction between Ash and Rain made Rena smile. She almost giggled out lout when she saw the little girl look around in panic with pink cheeks. The thought that the two of them made a good pair ran through her mind. A mischievous glint flashed in her eye. She quickly grabbed Xavier's hand and pulled him toward the two, where she then crashed into their backs, successfully forming a group hug.

"Since you're so generous, why don't you pay for ours as well?"

She secretly mouthed the words 'play along' to Xavier behind Ash's back.

"But that might be a bit too much on your wallet so how about we get two rooms and two of us share one room each? You can stay with Rain. I'll share with Xavier."

Elesis

She clicked her tongue at the 'little girl' comment. But let it slide since this was better than nothing. She led the way with the way with Penenio watching the rear of the group.

Upon arriving at the makeshift camp at the outskirts of Ruben, a small group of Velder soldiers ran up to Elesis to give them their reports.

"Nothing out of the ordinary in the village, ma'am!"

"We've found burnt bodies near the Tree of El, ma'am! We took the liberty to bury them, ma'am!"

"Good work, men. Now let's get these guests to an inn and some food. I heard a few of their stomachs rumbling on the way back."
Elesis said eyeing the dragon boy. She dismissed the officers and went back to the crowd. They apparently going to stop by an inn anyway. So Elesis offered escorts to the inn.

"Keep an eye on them, old man."
She whispered to Penensio.

"Yes, ma'am. It's hard being your sub-commander, you know." He sighed. Elesis could only return back a apologetic smile as she went to the Velder messenger.

"O-oh hey..." Xavier protested angrily, flexing his hand slightly that was grabbed by Rena. The sudden thought of sharing rooms with an elf caused him to pause and he dared to glance at Rena's chest. He quickly turned away with his cheeks turning red and with a swift pull, he pried his hand from her. "I think we're moving too fast here...sure, I know your names, but nothing else besides that, names," he grumbled though gave an apologetic look at them. "Sorry if I am coming out rude here. This is just a sudden for me."

Rolling his eyes to Renas comment Ash pulled out a bag, "I've collected valuable items from the demons that the Guild will love, it's worth is about 400,000 ED. So let's eat and drink and sleep the night away!" Ash says with a wide grin on his race getting Rain, Xavier and Rena under his arms. "Xavier I don't know who you are but you've been a great help thanks man, breakfast is on me for you and your pet dragon."
