Fandom Pokémon: Rise of Shadows

Max looked ahead, thinking about the events that were soon to transpire. He was not surprised that Eclipse had beat them to one of the legendaries: in fact, he assumed it would happen at some point. But even still... for it to be Cressalia... they had to act fast. There were restless nights in their future as long as he controlled her, and pretty soon their exhaustion would catch up.

Soon, however, he noticed the unease that Latios felt. "Will you be alright?"

 

[Latios]

"Oh yeah. I'm alright. I'm just about to go back to a place that I was kept in a tiny room for many years, subjected to several experiments, and left only to think about why that was happening to me. Of course I'm not alright! I was lucky to escape that place, like astronomically lucky. Any one of those experiments could have killed me, yet I managed to survive all of them with only getting black feathers to show for it. It should be much worse than that. And not to mention that I was lucky enough to have a fualty sedation system. What are the chances of all that happening. Theoretically I should be dead. And now I have to return to the place that gave me so many nightmares. I just... It's just... -sigh- I thought I would have been rid of the past."

[Emperor Of Embers]

As Genesis flew alongside the others, he had a feeling if Deja Vu when their destination come into view. "I don't know why.... But this reminds me of the place I was created in. And it's not a good reminder either.... I have a bad feeling about this." He said in a nervous tone as they grew closer and closer. Latios Assailant Daisie Netherdragon

 

[Latios]

Max nodded. "I see... but one can never truly be rid of their past, can they? The past is formative, it defines who we are. The past is as much the future as it is what has occurred." the Lucario shook his head. "However painful it must be, we must all face our past at one point or another. When this happens, we will have a decision to make: do we run, or do we face it head on?"

 

[Latios]

"I'm not saying the past wasn't important. I'm just saying it was traumatizing..." He responded.

Max nodded. "I never implied you were saying that. All I'm saying is that we must all face our pasts, at one point or another. Now is simply yours."

 

[Latios]

(Sorry I took so long for this. I was out on a little vacation you could say.)

Latios nodded and stayed silent. He still didn't like the fact of where they were going, but they didn't really have a choice.

As the mountains came into view, one strange occurrence was seen. A large patch a dead trees marked the mountains like a crater. All plant life in that location was dead leaving nothing but a brown expanse. "What the heck." Said Latios as he saw the strange sight.

(Sorry I took so long for this. I was out on a little vacation you could say.)

Latios nodded and stayed silent. He still didn't like the fact of where they were going, but they didn't really have a choice.

As the mountains came into view, one strange occurrence was seen. A large patch a dead trees marked the mountains like a crater. All plant life in that location was dead leaving nothing but a brown expanse. "What the heck." Said Latios as he saw the strange sight.

"This is unsettling...... I am afraid to meet whatever did this..." Genesis said in a nervous tone as the group drew closer. "I have a really bad feeling about this, what about you, Latios?" he asked the black Latios.

 

[Assailant]

Max frowned but remained silent, looking over the death. April did the same, as Nathan gasped. "Oh my..."

 

[Latios]

"I feel that this isn't good at all, because that's where we have to go." In the middle of the dead plant life seems to be a metal structure embedded into the side of the mountains. No doubt that the was much more of the building buried deep underground. If the trees still covered the area not a single person would have seen it if they few by. This place was obviously meant to be hidden before what ever happened here.

Genesis felt fear overcome him as he began to think about what could have caused this. "Think happy thoughts! Think Happy thoughts!" He shouted in his mind, and tried his best to remain calm, but however, his nervousness got the better of him, and began to slow down a bit, as if he was wanting to get behind the group. Though he does not want to admit it, he was afraid of what was going to be unveiled.

 

[Assailant]

Max looked over the destruction with a frown. "Needless to say, we should be cautious as we move from here. We should be even moreso than usual." Orion was shaking in fear as Darin held him protectively, and Amber herself leaned over the two as a guardian. Amber scanned the dead forest, looking for anything that might be noteworthy.

 

[Daisie]

Arcanus gazed over the destruction that had been wrought. He questioned why he had expected anything else briefly, before looking worriedly over at April. Though he was surprised by the sight, he didn't feel the need to say anything. At least, that hadn't already been said.

 

[Latios]

As they approached closer Latios spotted something among the tall dry tree trunks. Shadows, crawling everywhere. He immediately took them down into the forest before they got any closer. Once they got near the ground he let Max off. "I hope they didn't spot us."

Everyone set down quietly. Max nodded to Latios and closed his eyes, kneeling to the ground as he did. He tried to use his aura senses to see if anyone was approaching.

Nathan quietly pulled out her bat, ready to swing if they got jumped. As she prepared herself, Gardevoir readied a Protect to use if things turned ugly.

 

[Emperor Of Embers]

Genesis lands, and then changed to his primary form. He looked around, and got into a defensive stance, keeping his guard up, and listening for anything that might come at them.

 

[Latios]

Latios looked at the site ahead of them. Shadows patrolling certain routes. Even a few leaveing and entering the building. "Guys, I don't think we want to wage war on our way it. The inside of that place is huge. It took me many hours just trying to escape it. With such a large inside, who knows how many are inside. We could be fighting more shadows at once than we've ever faced."

Max sighed. "I could tell you how many are inside, but you wouldn't like it. As it stands..." Max looked around for a moment and grunted. "I'm quick. I can go off and make a diversion to let you guys enter."

[Latios]

"No, we're not going to let you off alone with those things. There's no way you can fight them all off. And if you try to avoid them they aren't exactly dumb so they would figure it out eventually. There is another way though. A back door, the way I left this place. I sealed it to lose my pursers, however we can open it. I trust that it's safe. The only way Shadows will be there is if they are blasting holes in this place or the know how to get the power running again. I think that neither would happen."

Max shook his head. "If the exit was obvious enough for you to find in the hurry of an escape, what reason is there to believe the Shadows haven't found it in their time here?"

 

[Latios]

"Because it's been closed, with the only way of opening it again to be have someone with technological skills to fix it. Or the other way, destroying it. And if they are truly hiding out here I don't think explosions are the best way to hide."

"The Backdoor sounds like a safer option." Agreed Genesis. "Besides, I don't know if you could take them all on without dying. From what I've seen so far is that they act like a hive or something of the sort. They would rip you apart before you land a blow, max." Genesis imformed, though his opinion is not always asked for, he gives it anyways, hoping it would help the situation at least in a slight manner. Daisie Assailant Latios

Max nodded. "Of course, I would likely die. That is to be expected from such a move." Strangely enough, Max sounded totally at peace with that idea: he clearly knew that was the likeliest thing. "Of course, I did not intend to fight them: merely draw them away." He then looked back over at Latios. "I suppose it could not hurt to try. Tell me as we draw close, and I will use my aura sense to see if anyone is there." He then closed his eyes and the flaps on his head rose up into the air, indicating he was looking through aura. He could keep track of everyone near by. "Tell me where it is."

 

[Latios]

"And as I said before, if you tried to draw them away they would eventually wise up, then where would we be. Stuck inside with the rest of them coming for us. Anyways, we need to get to the other side of the forests. The entrance is a good while away from here." He said as he began to lead them around the dead patch of forest.
