Yea... Especially with this heat. I do an outdoor job.. A lot of it requiring heavy work... 100 degree Fahrenheit weather + farm work, is not the best combination.

Just to clarify, does that mean you will only post a few times and then you're done, or no post at all? Not to pressure you, either's fine (I'm an outdoor pool lifeguard in Texas in the dead of summer, so I totally get it,) I just want to know if I should bother waiting.

And Emlas hasent had much to interact with. That's why she's hardly spoken up. She's talks to Latios still from time to time. Haven't you noticed that.

I actually beg to differ. It's a matter of doing something. There's PLENTY for her to do.

For instance, April. Emlas is one of the most empathetic creatures in the group, second only perhaps to Max who can literally feel emotions of others. I mean, I know they had a bad relationship, but April's mother just died. I feel like Emlas would try to talk to her about that, even if it ended poorly.

Or Max. They were established to have a good relationship, Max is just too nervous to approach Emlas after his feelings surfaced. But Emlas? I see no reason for her not to go and strike up a conversation.

Or Genesis. He's (relatively) new to the group, why doesn't she go and try to learn more about him? She always was curious.

There are plenty of opportunities for her to interact, and the same goes for Draka and Edron. I feel like, lately, they solely exist as tools to get something done rather than actual characters, to the point where I actually forget the latter two even exist because they never show up except for a sentence or so every three or four pages. I'd just really like to see more of those three, they really seem interesting and fun.

I just listened to that again today. I'm afraid it's uncurable.

Hey Latios , totally random question, but how does breeding work in this world? I ask for a few reasons, but most notably because, in the games, latixs can't breed, even with each other, so there couldn't possibly be a species. Furthermore, even if we work off the assumption that somehow they can, using the mechanic that the Pokémon inherit the species of its mother, since Latios and Latias are technically two different species, a Latias would only ever give birth to a Latias, making Latioses go extinct.

So how does breeding work in this world? Can any Pokémon breed with any Pokémon, egg groups be damned? Furthermore, how does species work? Do they inherit the mother's species? Is it a 50/50 chance that they'll be either species? Or will the child end up a mix of the two?

Latias and Latios dispite being classified as different species are actually not. Like all creatures in this world the males and females always have characteristics that set them apart to each other (for example, peacocks. Male is colorful but female is not.) The same hold true for the Lati but with "As" being the female term and "Os" as the male one.

That takes care of your "Latias would only produce Latias" question. Latias will produce both as separate based on the newborns gender (not a mix, do you see peacocks being mixed. No, they stay the way the are every time.)

However, due to the fact that all legendaries in the games are off the "undiscovered egg group" we need to leave the games and take a look at the anime to solve this. In the anime it is shown that legendaries CAN breed (but only a select few species). There is three part episode somewhere the shows a Lugia and her child trying to escape team _______ (it wasn't team rocket but I can't remember what it really was). So this baby Lugia proves it.

Also, in the... 4th?... Movie, Pokemon heros. The Latias and Latios shown are said to once have parents. This means that the species dose in fact breed. (The mother was never mentioned in the movie but the audience was told that they became orphans after their father sacrificed himself to save the town they lived in secretly).

Now that we have proven that the Lati reproduce and a Latias will give birth to both sides of the coin. We need to explain why they can't in the games. We could sum it up to video game logic and that it's because Nintendo doesn't want people to be getting multiple legendaries but I have a more official answer.

Latias and Latios are in the undiscovered egg group becuse they are just that, undiscovered. It is so hard to get your hands on a Lati that whenever someone get even one of the two they have never been seen to breed before. That's because they can only mate with each other. They have their vary own egg group. With the chances of catching both gender of a Lati rare it has never been tested and recorded that the two can breed with each other even though they can. And thus, they are undiscovered.
