I haven't seen Anohana, but I looked it up. Does this mean there's gonna be a ghost? Because dibs if it's a Gastly.

I just want Brandon to toss Chimchar at the dam and bring all the pokemon into the stream except for the Starly for obvious reasons. But, I'm pretty sure this wouldn't go over well in terms of keeping good relations.

The only thing we need to bring it closer to Anohana is romance.

It's a pretty sad anime. Nearly made me cry. It revolves around a group of friends who were close friends when they were younger but drifted apart once one of them passed. But the ghost of the one that passed brings them together again.
Just the personalities and dynamics though are what appear similar between Anohana and our characters.

XD I'm thinking Piplup is the only exception to the bit about how the river is a hazard. Honestly a water-type that can't swim or manage themselves in water is kinda silly. If their dex entry says they can swim, then it's fine. Naturally a Chimchar and Togepi can't reasonably swim, due to typing and physical limitations. Turtwig, maybe. I would let it slide if Turtwig waded in to about the bottom of its shell, but any further would risk having it swept away.
