Persona: Invoke

"The situation reminds me of a video game, that's all. Don't worry about it." Tsuna replied, looking around at their surroundings and taking in the designs of this strange world. "I wonder... how many times have you been here before?"

"You're stupid..." Minato said plainly, scoffing a bit. "We've been here twice before. This is the third time."

Well, nice to see they are getting along. Sort of. Chigusa dispersed such thoughts, she wasnt their mother or anything. They just had to stay in polite terms at least, if anything for the sake of this investigation. Wonder if I'm trying hard enough....? She focused on expanding her scan yet again. Gasping under her breath, her voice echoed through to reach the boys. "They're coming soon."

Startled a little bit by the sudden voice in his head, he shook it off when he realized that it was probably something Chigusa's Persona could do.

"Alright, I got it." Minato said, advancing forward a bit more cautiously. "Yamato, get ready."

"Oh, sorry..." I did warn him before though. Chigusa apologized all the same, seeing how Minato did not care too much for the scare anyway.

"Get ready for what...?" All Tsuna knew was that Minato was advancing more cautiously now, so he decided to copy the more experienced individual and followed with absolute caution. "What am I supposed to be ready for?"

A few moments later, the shadows came. They creeped down the hall slowly, their amorphous masses slogging their way towards them. Minato stopped, looking onward to the creatures ahead.

"Leave it to me." The mirrors glowed faintly around her, eyes closed as every piece of data regarding the creatures consumed her mind. Chigusa prompted a warning towards the boys in the mean time. "Remember, Minato, don't get careless." Tsuna was still but an observer at this point, that was better left unsaid.

"Uh... You wanna take care of those things, Minato...?" Tsuna was shocked about the current situation, but chose to simply call upon the more experienced person on the matter. "What the hell are those things anyway?"

"Just watch." Minato said with a smile. He held his hand out, summoning the card into his palm, and crushing it, Magatsuhi appearing behind him.

Chigusa muffled a gasp, finding the shadow's weakness by the moment Minato's Persona was ready to make its move. "Magic won't work this time. Go meele!" Oops, a bit of a weird  termionology. She could not help it, this whole situation was far too similar to that of a game at times...

Minato heard her loud and clear, holding his hand out, commanding his Persona to move into close range. It drew its blade, wielding it in reverse grip, and cut through the first, twisting itself and slicing through another, before jumping up and stabbing downwards onto a third.

"You said it." Chigusa giggled ever so slightly, watching over the battle through the mirrors somewhat excitedly. Minato and his Persona's feats never ceased to disappoint her as an observer. He's got this.

As Tsuna watched how Minato and his Persona fought, he couldn't help but get excited. Who wouldn't get hyped up in this situation? An ordinary high school student summoning a mythological entity to do battle with unknown threats? For Tsuna, this was like a dream come true. He could feel the zeal building up inside him, until a voice spoke out to him internally.

I am thou...

"H-huh...?" This voice spoke in a noble tone, yet sounded slightly tired, as if it was waking up from a long slumber

Thou art I...

"What? Who's there?!" Tsuna looked around to try and identify the source of the voice, when a blue card was brought into existence above his head. It spun clockwise, and depicted a king in a chariot with two differently-colored horses next to it, one on each side. Upon seeing the card, a smirk manifested on Tsuna's face.

Release yourself from the boring shackles of reality with my power. Tear off the mask you present to reality and throw it behind you.

"Per..." Tsuna looked directly at the card as he let it float above his palm.

"...so" Images of his childhood rushed to him. Happy days spent with his family resurfaced and presented themselves to him. An overwhelming warmth spread through him as he proceeded to crush the card.

"...na!"

A brilliant blue light blotted out the image of Tsuna, fading away to reveal Tsuna, a smirk on his face and a crimson-clad humanoid floating behind him. It bore a metallic mask that had a strange, angular shape carved into it. Scarlet red eyes were hidden by this mask as the being raised its hand, which clutched a simple black katana. Vermilion flames danced upon the blade as the entity leveled the blade at the group of unknown enemies ahead.

"This is more like it..." Tsuna cockily noted as he flicked his right hand and proceeded to point at the amorphous blobs ahead of them.

Wide-eyed, Chigusa stood silent before the sight of a new Persona on Tamamo-no-Mae's mirrors. What followed could not be quiet captured by her entirely as last time, as she was far too entranced in the creature. But soon, it would dawn on her, breaking through her awe. At last, the three were reunited as equals...

Minato looked back towards Tsuna, noticing his Persona.

"Well, looks like you're ready to go." He said, matter-of-factly

"Hell yeah! Burn 'em down!"

latest

"Kagutsuchi!!"

Responding to its master's command, the entity slashed at its enemies with its katana, releasing the dancing flames as a ball of pure flames. The nearest enemy to make contact with said projectile was reduced to ashes.

"We're not done yet! Go for it, Kagutsuchi!" He directed his new power to attack a few more of the enemies. Adrenaline rushed through Tsuna's head and he was incredibly pumped. Kagutsuchi proceeded to then slash through several of the blobs with its black katana, its blade still dancing with flames that appeared to only serve as a cosmetic choice for the time being.

Minato decided to let Tsuna strut his stuff on his own, recalling Magatsuhi and watching the show.

He sure seems enthusiastic about this... He thought.

Personas do have this strange ffect on people, hm...? The battle seemed to be almost over, much to her satisfaction. With both boys supported by their own aides, Chigusa found herself assaulted by a sense of optimism. We're getting somewhere with this at last...

After quite some time spent burning the shapeless blobs into piles of ashes, Tsuna recalled his new power and dropped to his knees from exhaustion. Perhaps going all out just now wasn't the best idea...

"Okay..." Tsuna sighed. "I probably shouldn't have gone all out on that, but it was totally worth it!"

Minato looked behind him, expecting this from Tsuna, though he could also say that the same would have happened even if he was more experienced, with how recklessly he fought them. Minato began to wonder what kind of detriment Tsuna would become from his wild and uncoordinated fighting. Nonetheless, there was work to be done.

"Are you still able to go? Or should we head back?" He asked, not out of concern for him, but he wasn't going to go out on his own just yet.

"I think we can push forward a bit... But I don't think I'll be fighting any time soon..." Tsuna replied, taking deep breaths as he pulled himself together. "Unless we've got some kind of rejuvenating magic."

With a shaky stance, Tsuna rose from the ground and leaned against the wall, sliding along it to signify he was ready to go, even in his exhausted state.

"Maybe..." The voice paused, as Chigusa pondered what could she exactly accomplish here. Yes, her Persona was support-oriented but in a tactical sense of the term. "Fatigue isn't something my Persona can just wish away but..." She placed a hand on one of the mirrors, focusing on the task she was given. Little by little, a glowing light bathed the redhead's body, granting him a rejuvenating healing. "Is this better?..."
