Persona: Invoke

"Right..." Minato said without looking her way, putting his phone back in his pocket and heading home.

Chigusa was far too fatigued to even so much as care for his lack of manners. Or nonchalancy for her well-being for that matter. She would manage to reach home safely and collapse onto her bed, no doubt drifting to sleep with no issues whatsoever.

The Following Day

Minato yawned, still a bit sleepy from last night. Though, thankfully, it was lunch time, so he could relax a bit... though once again, he found himself having a bit of trouble actually eating. He frowned, staring at his boxed lunch he had packed for himself. It contained all of his usual favorite things, but he couldn't work up the effort to get excited enough to dig in.

"Mmgh..." Minato mumbled, looking off into the distance.

Tsuna sat down on the bench he usually sat on when he ate lunch on the roof. His meal today was a Yakisoba sandwich with a side of fried chicken and some vegetables. After opening up his can of coffee, Tsuna took a sip and stared into the horizon. He had decided to take a break from drawing his manga to sketch a birthday gift for an old friend of his. He stayed up late drawing the majority of said gift, and he was starting to regret staying up that late. Regardless of that, Tsuna knew his days of peace in this countryside town were getting boring, and he was going to need to find some thrills sooner or later.

"I don't need to get a girlfriend... maybe something else..." He murmured to himself as he ate.

Zack finally makes it to the roof, looking tired and a bit disheveled with his hair still messy. It's almost like he just woke up. He sluggishly walks over to the bench Tsuna was sitting at, plopping himself on the other side. He lets his school bag droop as he looks up at the sky with half-lidded eyes. He grunts as he looks at the skies.

"Mmgh...did not have a good night's sleep...ngh..."

Zack lazily pulls out his lunch bento and eats his steamed rice and sushi slowly, stretching his legs out as he does so.

Chigusa waltzed into the rooftop, hiding a yawn wither hand as she glanced over her surroundings to find her usual spot. On the way,she found Zack among the few stationed there, prompting a smile and a wave from her. He seemed particularly tired today so perhaps it was best to leave it at that... Just next to him stood none other than the boy she had been waiting for after classes, a sight that left her livid for a second. Don't think you can escape from me this time. She was probably glaring at me as she thought so. Whatever, he probably didn't care anyway, he seemed to be in his own little world. She glanced over the other side of roof, She didnot bother to greet Minato, seeing how it would amount to nothing. The first-year sat down and began indulging in her meal she bought at the cafeteria. A homemade lunch would have been nice but in the end, I was just too tired from last night... Sighing, she took a sip of her water bottle before staring at the skies with a longing look to her.

Zack sees Chigusa smile and wave at him and smiles, waving back. He looks back down at his food, taking in a spoonful of rice before looking back up, looking straight ahead. He taps his feet as he glances at Chigusa, Minato, and Tsuna.

"Hmm...looks to be a quiet lunch today..."

Zack finishes eating his rice, not having actually touched his sushi yet. Perhaps he wasn't as hungry as he had thought he was...

Looking over at the boy who decided to flop down next to him, Tsuna decided to scoot away due to being uncomfortable with how close he was. Instead, he decided to grab his stuff and sit down next to Chigusa, having totally forgot to meet her after school the previous day. Seeing as how he had to make it up to her some, Tsuna decided to apologize for blowing her off.

"Hey, Chigusa. About not meeting you after school yesterday... I'm sorry about that. It completely slipped my mind, and I just wanted to get home. If you still wanna talk to me about something, go right ahead." Tsuna told her with sincerity.

Chigusa certainly wasn't expecting to come to her, not like this, not now. Setting down her bread, she felt as if Tsuna had put her on the spot, to the point of feeling somewhat childish for how she acted earlier... "No, no, we didn't, I mean I was the one who stormed out..." She brushed a hair lock behind her ear, smiling nervously at the redhead. "You don't need to apologize, sorry for my attitude. I just wanted answers but I shouldn't have...well, you're here now, that's all that matters. Thank you. For letting me speak with you, I mean." She paused, a bit more cheery, then pointed at the key around her neck. "...You have a key like this one, don't you? You had that strange dream with Igor as well...?" She pursued her lips, forcing herself not to stare at Tsuna and make him uncomfortable but her anxiety was palpable. Or perhaps excitement?

He took a sip of his coffee before replying to her.

"Looks like your personality had a little bit of a change. My first impression of you was a submissive girl. Looks like you've started to stand for yourself..." Tsuna commented. "Not bad, not bad. Here's your reward."

After taking another sip of coffee, Tsuna pulled out his keychain and showed off his key. This action was more than enough of an answer to her first question.

"As for the dream about Igor, yeah. That happened. Congrats on learning to stand up for yourself." Tsuna pat her on the head gently after putting his keys away. "He mentioned something about three people like this. So who's the third?"

Minato stared at the two from a distance, being sure not to rouse any suspicion from the red headed one. His eyes flashed, however, when he saw the key he pulled out on a key chain. So, he is the third key-holder. However, at the next step, the guy went and pats Chigusa on the head... Minato didn't really know what to think of that. He was confused. What was this guy's deal...?

Zack tilts his head to the side as he sees Tsuna pat Chigusa on the head, arching an eyebrow in confusion as he chews on his rice.

"Mmgh?"

Zack couldn't hear them, but he glances at Minato, seeing him stare at the two. He gulps down his food and lays his bento on the bench, still not having touched his sushi. He glances back at Tsuna and Chigusa.

"Hmm..."

Change? Was that so...? Well, given past events, namely the awakening of her Persona, perhaps he was right. It was good if so was the case, at least. To grow, to develop, to move past petty aspects, ... Her train of thought was cut short, the sight of the key in Tsuna's hands bringing a wide smile to the blue-haired female. His confirmation was enough to brighten her mood. The last chosen, the last key, it was all coming together... So caught up she was in the moment that it took her brief seconds to assimilate his gesture, to gaze at him wide-eyed, baffled. "Um, thank you..." The touch of his hand on her head felt foreign, unfamiliar but not at all unpleasant. She was simply...thrown off her element for a short while, rapidly regaining her composure prior to parting her lips yet again. "Yes...! Me, you and..." Her eyes wandered around the area before finding Minato, close to catch him glancing over their way. "That senior over there, Minato. He just gave his first name, of course. We're not close or anything." She was quick to point out such. Come to think of it, Tsuna had been doing the same thing...? Ahh, whatever, she probably shouldn't do such a big deal out of it. At least he bothered to actually talk to me..... "...Ah, your name! I didn't ask you about it, I'm sorry!"

"I'm Tsunayoshi Yamato. You can can call me Tsuna for short," He replied. "I'm a little surprised you didn't question my patting your head... It doesn't matter anyway."

After finishing his meal, Tsuna packed away his bento box and took out his sketchbook so he could work on his manga.

"Do you mind if I sit her for the rest of lunch? Don't worry, I won't bother you any. Feel free to ask me about stuff if you want," Tsuna looked at Chigusa as he asked, not wanting her to feel uncomfortable by his presence.

"Tsuna, right." Chigusa took a bite of her bread, trying to disperse a certain awkwardness to the exchange, particularly from her part. An attempt failed by the boy's following statement to his introduction. Yet again, she found herself babbling nervously. "No, I didn't... My brother used to do that a lot so I was a bit weirded out at first. I don't mean to say that you're weird or anything, I guess I'm the weird one for not asking, I just thought you were congratulating me but I could be wrong? I'm sorry, I just-!" She bit her bottom lip, cutting herself short on her state of disarray. "I guess I didn't change that much..." A nervous laughter left her lips, self-deprecation seemed to work as a defense mechanism for her. "And n-no, no, not at all. I won't bother you either... It can get annoying having people talk while you are drawing, right? Asking questions and all..." She could be proposing a wrongful deduction. She spoke out of experience, namely when it came to her photography hobby. But art could vary from person to person, after all. Tsuna a bit peculiar...but that's not a bad thing. Not at all.

"Well, it doesn't really get annoying when people talk to me when I draw, since I'm usually listening to music while I work. Gives me some form of company in the loneliness and boredom of being out here while my parents work pretty much all day..." Tsuna went back to drawing manga, satisfied with the response Chigusa had given him about his choice of seating. "I guess the three of us are aware of who's who now... Wonder what's next for us..."

"Oh, I...I see." His choice of words lingered on a rather personal matter, leaving Chigusa somewhat taken for a moment. But perhaps it was best to move on, do not let it sink, if anything for the redhead's sake. "I'm glad... Ah, and the same applies to you, of course." After all, Tsuna had not ventured with them at night...his next statement only further cemented her need to speak to him. It's fine, I can do it, he said so himself. "You'll have to awaken 'it' as well, I believe. Just like me and Minato did." She began to explain to him carefully what the past nights had made clear for her what their role was now.

"It?" Tsuna looked at Chigusa with a puzzled look. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Now Tsuna was entirely confused, but he decided to jump to a conclusion and see if he got lucky. "I guess I'm gonna need to hang out with you two after school then. That's probably gonna be the only way of finding out what you mean by 'it'."

"Yes! Yes, that is probably for the best..." Chigusa could not help herself for allowing a chuckle to convey herself before such questions. After all, even she was not quite sure what to make of the creature who aided her last night... Tamamo-no-Mae. Yes, the name did ring a bell but that was it. Some research needed to be carried out, if for a bit of her own closure. It was reassuring to have yet another 'chosen' join them.

"Hah?" The ringing of the bell signalling the end of lunch caught him off-guard, but he decided to get to class so he wouldn't be late. "The bell rang... I'll be going now, Chigusa. Later."

After packing up all his stuff, Tsuna left without another word, heading straight to his next class as he thought over the events of the day so far. "Looks like something interesting is gonna be happening soon enough. 'Bout damn time, if you ask me..." He thought as he walked to class.

Minato heard the bell and sighed, getting up from his seat and packing up his bento, heading back to the roof door, not really wondering what Chigusa and that red-head were talking about. It didn't really matter.

Finishing off the last bits of her meal, Chigusa stood up in a hurry, dusting off her uniform and her palms from crumbs. "See you." Smiling, she bid goodbye to the third-year before taking off herself. With a silent wave out to Zack, she ran off to class. It just keeps going and going...

Zack hears the bell ring and quickly shoves his bento into his school bag. He stands up and slings his bag over his right shoulder.

"Just what were they talking about..."

Zack waves back to Chigusa, seeing her run off to her class. Even though Zack could just walk up to Chigusa and ask her about what's going on, he didn't want to, out of fear of freaking her out. If there was anything he hated doing unintentionally, it was making people uncomfortable. Something he was too familiar with...

Zack shakes his head and heads off to his class, trying to quiet his thoughts for the rest of the school day.

After school, Minato was quick to head downstairs to look for Chigusa, intent on asking her about her exchange with the red-headed kid on the roof. He headed downstairs to the first floor, looking around as the first years shuffled out of their classes. He spotted Chigusa out of the crowd, coming out of room 1-A. She noticed him quickly, and he gestured wordlessly for her to follow him, heading outside with her following and leaving the school grounds, staying just outside the gate.

"That kid you were talking to at lunch." Minato said, getting straight down to brass tacks. "He's the third key-holder, right?"

He already knew he was, but he wanted definite confirmation from Chigusa, who had actually spoken to him.

Chigusa left the classroom in a brisk pace, not wishing to get dragged within a crowd of hasty students desperate to leave. Her momentum was briefly lost at the sight of none other than Minato at her classroom. She refrained from making a deal out of it, instead following him out the school building in silence. His words cleared any doubts as to why so. Still, it was certainly pleasant to see Minato actually care for something at all. "Yes. His name is Tsunayoshi Yamato. I told him what we found out so far." She carefully chose her next words. "He said he might join...the investigation tonight." She didn't know if Minato was hoping to carry it out on his own rather than with them. His unpredictability was on pair with his lack of manners, after all. "It's best for him to 'it' up soon, I think..." Leaning against a nearby wall, her eyes wandered around the students abandoning the school. They still needed to decide where and when to meet up.
