Fandom Persona 5 OOC CLOSED

Yeah you’re good. But it’s gonna be hard to fit everyone in. So don’t expect to become a thief right away.
I'd hate to disrupt the flow of the story for everyone so if it's one too many people I don't mind sitting this one out. :)

No specific details, thought it would be something the rest of you could add some input on.

The outline is that Matriarch Suzuki is a swindler (like so many New Age types are) who learned about the Metaverse somehow. Maybe someone leaked it to her or she wasn't able to completely awaken a Persona for some reason. She capitalizes on her access to exploit people with more money than sense to follow her "program" and invade the Metaverse (mainly Mementos). They think that they're metaphorically solving their own life problems and overcoming troublesome people by fighting the Shadows they see there, but they're actually forcefully changing the hearts of people who oppose the Order of Metatron and likely increasing their membership partially in that way.

Suzuki won't be able to achieve world domination or anything like that (probably),but the amount of people she has under her control is already dangerous.

Does that make sense?

I like it. Kinda sounds like what they were doing in persona 5 Strikers. And she can hire MetaMercs as bodyguards or hitmen for the more serious events. I wanna set it up in way that shows the phantom thieves aren't first people that try to do something good with their powers. In fact, many of the MetaMercs started out with good intentions, but quick loss sight of why they started the fight in the first place. Nowadays, they either do things for money, influence, or for the sheer thrill of it.

So what happens to these normal people when they are defeated in the metaverse? Do they turn into shadows? Are they forcefully pushed out of the metaverse? If we are going with the no killing rule, I would want to go with a direction where once they "lose" they are banished from the metaverse, and forget everything they've done there. But I wanna hear what you think of these concepts.

That sounds like a good idea, normal humans who are brought into the Metaverse by Suzuki will probably lose some of their memory when "defeated" the first time. If they keep trying to re-enter it and take damage in there again, they might lose more of their memories and personality. When people start to notice they're not actually improving, they're definitely going to have their doubts and turn on the Matriarch.

Before that plot I would like to get Tusukishima and Kiyoko in Personified or at least another person. Maybe one of them could overhear them talking and get curious and start to tail them or something. I am looking forward to the thieves clashing with the Metamercs in this plot and in the future. I can see a hatred between the groups forming.

Also how should we do the confidant system?

I mean,I'd say we can get to know some supporting characters. But representing the confidants as they are in the game probably isn't as necessary, considering we're not really having a wild card/central protagonist here.

On Shiro's part, she's probably too offended by his sanctimony to worry about what he actually knows or might do. She's pretty averse to negotiating or accepting help from people she doesn't know as well at the moment.

I see. In that case, we should shift it to next scene where Ann, Morgana and Shiro go to mementos. We need to try to find a way to reel the new peeps into the metaverse. Sougo for the most part will kinda act like a side character for now.
