Fandom Percy Jackson Roleplay

My face fell, as did Rachel's, but I studiously turned to the girl and sighed dramatically. "It seems I am being dragged on a quest. It was lovely meeting you, though.", I expressed with a smile, and Rachel smiled back and said, "Nice meeting you too. I really do feel like tacos though, so...".

With that she ushered us out of her cave and started jogging over to the Big House.

"Possibly, but more than likely it's confined to the Americas. The Greek Gods don't extend their influence past there much, mostly because of the Egyptians, but I do admit that it's happened before.", I allowed.

"Since we haven't been given a time limit yet, let's focus more on the Americas before branching out. Wouldn't do to have the thing we're supposed to stop or find happen or get destroyed while we're traipsing around Europe like College backpackers.".

My eyes widened a fraction as I reviewed what I knew about New York, and then I let a wide grin onto my face as I said simply, "And Brooklyn is east of Manhattan.".

"Oh, lots of things.", I replied airily, then grinned and said, "But about this? Let's grab your friend James and head to Brooklyn.".

"Do doors fly where you come from?", I asked, almost genuinely curious, "Because really, that would be stupid. No, my doors work more like tunnels. They draw two points of space toward each other and hold them together. No sky required.".

"Magic is flawed. Trust me on that." Amanda said as she started walking down the dirt road outside of the camps boundaries,"So I would rather walk."

"Meh. I've always preferred the scenic route myself.", I admitted as I caught up to her, "It's as much about the journey as it is about the destination.".

"Your estimation's a little off, there. More like fifty.", I corrected in amusement.

(Google Maps says 50. I had to be general, of course, but Long Island to Brooklyn is close enough.)

"Had it done, actually. Hurt like heck, almost didn't survive.", I commented casually, then grinned and asked her, "But aren't you glad I did?".
