Orphanage For The Out Of The Ordinary (RP) (Starting)

"What? Who's ambushing us?!" Arcum asked nervously. He was not comfortable beneath the towering trees and being in the shadows they cast. The shadows and light were disrupted continually by the trees blowing around, and it made everything harder to make out. "If something, or someone is trying to hurt us, the reasons behind this would seem most illogical. We post no harm to anyone's well-being, at least in my own perspective. People might possibly be frightened of our "powers" and wish to hurt us as to calm their own nerves, for then they know we can do no harm to them, if we had a cause to cause harm. People are people, though." Arcum shifted his eyes around the edge of the forest, trying to make something out.

Lily looked at Arcum,"How are you with tight spaces?", she asked not knowing much about him. She had an idea but it would be difficult to pull off without him controlling his power.

"Oh, me, and tight spaces? I don't do too well with a plethora of people surrounding me and blocking my line of sight, or walls that are just too close." Arcum smiled as he said :"But if I was in the smallest room in the universe but I had my computer or my work to transfix me, I could be in there for ages." Arcum realized it was getting late. "Shouldn't we be heading back now?" he asked Lily.

"We need to get around them...you're going to have to go underground with us. It'll be dark so we need you to find a way to light it since you're a technopath.", she said touching the ground and opening a hole. Vines covered the walls of the hole,"I have to close it as we walk so no one follows us.", she explained further.

Arcum stared with amazement at the gaping hole in the ground. "whoa, oh yes, light" Arcum whipped out his phone and turned on the super-bright self-installed flashlight and shined it down the hole. "Ladies first" he said, and smiled.

Once everyone was inside, Lily closed the opening. She focused really hard and had to keep her concentration or else she may crush them all. Lily opened the whole further. She walked while listening to the plants for guidance.

Pateer followed the group. He had remained silent the whole time, but he had followed along. His mongoose, which was yet to be named, stood on his shoulder. He waited for the girls to go first, for he wanted to be a proper gentleman.

Luckily, Arcum's phone-light flooded the entire cavern with electric light. Seeing was no problem, but the walls of the cave were very small. "how long is it until we get to the orphanage, Lily?" he asked. Only now did he really recognize the Indian Boy in the back of their group. He squinted his eyes in curiosity and waited for a reply.

Lily was focused on digging deeper with her ability,"It won't take...to long....", she said as vines whipped around inside the hole. The hole expanded as she walked further. Lily was starting to sweat a bit, she had never used her power this much in one sitting.

Arcum noticed Lily's struggling "Hey, you need any help..." Arcum realized he couldn't help her in any way. I guess the only way I could help is to not annoy her. Might as well give her some physiological support " Hey, your ok. You can do it, I believe in you" Arcum said to Lily.

Lily nodded while smiling,"Of course I can", she said then pushed the tunnel way forward. Behind the last person it closed as they walked. She walked ahead only focusing on the back and taking a break with the front. Lily pulled her hair back and out of her face. The vines told her something making her bit her lip,"The humans are right above us...we have to be quiet", she whispered not knowing exactly how thick the ground above them was.

Arcum's voice was lowered to a whisper " Please tell us about these 'human' people wanting to ambush us when we get back to the orphanage, Lily" His footsteps quickened and his breath came out faster. He calmed as he got an idea. Arcum, still keeping on the flashlight with his mind, took a video with it that he mentally hacked to detect a heat signature. He pointed it up and the video showed red spots in the dirt ceiling above them. "Your right, there are people" Arcum thought for a while, and stared hard at the red spots. A cry could be heard from above. "I just un-blocked some guys phone from getting messages from his mother. His inbox should be full of texts and phone calls, that should buy us some time."

Lily smiled at him,"Good job", she said while reaching the edge. She extended the hole further and further. It was almost to the orphanage,"Im going to open it inside the orphanage since its safer. They can't touch us there. Not with Mr. David protecting us.", she explained to the others.

Misty followed after the others, her breath coming out in small, ragged gasps. She narrowed her eyes in front of her as she growled. 'I'm not even doing any work!' She thought, cursing her claustrophobia. She continued to growl at herself although she was slightly relieved when Lily said they were almost there.

Pateer soundlessly followed the others. He had been quiet the whole time, but his mongoose had just jumped off his shoulder. Pateer let out a small gasp and reached for the mongoose in vain. It scurried ahead of him before he could catch it.

Arcum was running alongside the others. Unfortunately, physical activity was not one of his powers. "When, are, we, going, to get,there..." he panted" Hopefully, sooner, than you say..". Droplets of sweat were forming at his brow. Weird even though I'm skinny I'm out of shape, I got to be doing more cardio.

Finally Lily got to where she needed to be. She used the vines to slowly dig up some stairs with vines. A hole opened that showed the orphanage walls. Lily sighed in relief and walked out waiting for the others to make it out to close the hole.

Arcum was surprised Lily was able to create a hole that went right past the orphanage's water and electric lines. "Thanks a ton, Lily" he said as he walked up into the orphanage up the vine stairs.

Lily nodded at him, once everyone was out she completely closed the hole and collapsed on the ground breathing heavily. Some plants surrounded her body on the ground as she was unconcious. She used to much of her power up and lost control.

Misty sat down next to the unconscious Lily, panting but still happy that she was out in the open. "Thanks for using that much of your power just to help us." Misty said even though she knew that Lily couldn't hear her. She also didn't want to take Lily to her room since the flowers were surrounding her so she just kept her place next to her as she thought, 'We need to get the others settled in'

" So I guess we are just going to leave her there then?" Arcum asked " I guess its better, to the best of my knowledge she quite enjoys her flowers and foliage." Arcum looked around the hallway. " Do you know where my room is, I never really got to go to it.." He took another look at Lily. Hope she is going to be alright.

The lilies started to curl around her to keep her warm and safe. Lily rolled over into a ball on her side and slept peacefully on the ground. The flowers were helping her recover and she often took naps in the gardens, which she planted, anyways.

Pateer beckoned his mongoose and it walked up to Lily. Twitching his whiskers he sniffed one of Lily's flowers. Then he pounced up to her head and licked her face. The mongoose scampered off to Pateer and crawled up to his arm. He cooed to his mongoose. It would seem the animal was most polite.

"Hmm? Oh! Yeah follow me and don't worry, she just needs some rest." Misty got up, just realizing that her wolf ears and tail were still hidden. She took the hood off, revealing her ears, and lifted up the bottom of her jacket so her tail was out which she swished around for a second. "Much better."

Arcum's eyes widened at the sight of Misty's ears and tail. Nothing today is not surprising. He shrugged and followed her to his room.
