Realistic or Modern Organized Crime

He nodded, "I'll do my best, boss." he nods as he goes and puts away an arm full of weapons. Arriving at home, Alex would stumble out of the car and hurry to the house door to make sure no one sees him. He huffs, "This is harder than I thought." he huffed.

"Yeah, normally I just limp my way home then rest." He said with little smile, granted he had an idea that he would be scolded for doing so instead of taking the proper measures. He chuckled, "I Just didn't have time to...do the crutch thing..."

He nodded, "Honestly, you do take good care of me." He says as he makes his way to the bedroom, "Lynn, she was there. Diane sold us out and that's how he found me so easily..."

She nodded. "Well, I think this is going to have to end somehow. The whisper is going to go silent one way or another." Lynn had him sit down. Thinking about that woman, she couldn't help but steal a glance at the ring on her finger. It was the same one he gave that conniving snake. It felt like bad luck nowadays. Honestly, she wanted to stop wearing it. It wasn't something that was meant for her. It was something that had been picked out by Alex when he thought he wanted to spend his life with another woman.

This other woman just so happened to be a million times prettier than her and an established member of the mafia. She wanted that woman gone. She wanted her dead so she couldn't cause any more problems! But, what kind of person did that make her? Was this the true her? Did she truly wish such horrible things on others deep down? This made her no better than the woman Alex was trying to get away from. Maybe she wasn't as deserving, either.

"Yes I agree. But for now I'm out of commission...this is up to you on how you want to play it." He nodded, "My opinion is to just tell her to leave and never come back, but at the same time I know she won't. She's the definition of a grudge." He lays down on the bed, his purple bruises painted his body up and down, with his one eye he looked over to her, "What are you going to do?"

"Take care of it," was all she managed to say as she turned her attention to him. "I'll take care of it. Get some rest." He was so injured. It was her fault for being unable to protect him. It pissed her the hell off.

She put her hand on the gun at her side absentmindedly and sighed before slipping off her ring, setting it on the bedside table. "I'm going to go take a bath. Yell if you need me."

He nodded and smiled, "Take your time..." he smiled to her. He still gave her his warm smile. Even beaten down to a pulp and with only one eye open he still had to give her his best smile. "I uh...think I'm gonna go to sleep..." he said softly. Finally resting his head on his pillow and giving a soft sigh. He partly hated himself for putting her in this position. Granted it wasn't entirely his fault, just how things ran is all. Still this only made him want to leave for good. Maybe get an actual job.

She went to the bathroom and let out a sigh, writing a note and climbing out the fire escape. She was planning on a blood bath now. Make yourself vulnerable and someone is gonna find you. That was how it worked. She was gonna use herself as bait and then shoot that bitch in the pretty face.

Meanwhile, Diane was still at the shootout scene. Looking over the fallen bodies from across the street. Her eyes as empty as ever but still very much upset that he slipped out of her grasp once more. Watching the police officers cover the scene. She scoffed and walked down the road to get to her car, "Next time have legit criminals." she sighed.

Carolynn smirked a bit when she made it to the scene and saw her. "Diane~!" She purred. "Let's take a ride, shall we? I have a proposition." She walked calmly towards her, palms extended outwards.

She bit her lip and smiled, she stood in a peacoat with slacks, "Carolynn, lovely to see you around here. Lovely neckless by the way, did Alex give it to you personally?" She said nodding to the ring around her neck from the choke. Her arms were crossed and one hand was already tightly gripped onto a pistol.

"Yes. Let's." she said as she began to walk with her, "Terrible thing to happen over there. I was just passing by and came across that atrocity." she says softly. "So many men lost. Their wives now widows, such a sad time, wouldn't you agree?"

"From what I heard it involved another mob, do you know which one that might be?" She said looking over to her.

She scoffed, "I take it he survived." Her grip now getting even tighter on her gun, "And that he told you some crucial things about my presence."

"Of course," she said with a nod. "Though he's recuperating and i am in charge while he is.... indisposed. I'd really like to work something out so we don't have to deal with each other."

She chuckled, "Really? Work something out with me? Alright then, what do you have to offer?" She says with a smirk, "What could you possibly offer me in exchange?"

"What exactly is your play here?" She says cautiously, eyeing her up and down trying to figure out what shes going on about.

"I want a wager. One of us are not going to stay in this town. If you win, you stay and get to tell Alex that I left or whatever you want. The reverse is my win and you leave us the fuck alone. I'm just looking to start a family here and live my best life with a man that loves me."

"Cute dream. I need this too. He's a great man, I hope to raise my boys with him and have us rule the underground this side of the nation." she nods, "I just want my family to be safe....so What do you wager?"
