Fantasy Order of the Nightingale (VRMMORPG)

Just tell me when the first post is up!

Also, how should The Doctor go about recruiting people or is that up to me?

So I understand bards have their instument as their primary weapon, but do they actually attack with their instrument or do they just use it to play their skills? I was imagining the latter until I reread the bard summary for their weapons.

instruments ((not brass)add bonus effects to basic attacks and stronger (but slower) than the Baton)
So do I actually get to beat people over the head with an oversized pan flute?

Anything can deal some damage if you hit someone hard enough, but bards primarily have medium-range attack. I imagine it looks like a stream of notes flows from your instrument and at your opponent (similar to the picture that should hopefully be attached down below). If you have another idea (still medium-range) then I'm all ears. I suppose I should list the range off attacks and such in the Mechanics tab. I'll get there sometime.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_12/image.jpeg.81070e627d069cffbc52ba88f70e15cb.jpeg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="95095" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_12/image.jpeg.81070e627d069cffbc52ba88f70e15cb.jpeg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

I'm just thinking about how I want my character to be introduced. He's already a member of the guild after all, so he wouldn't have any reason to be looking around the guild recruitments.

Just have him lingering behind the booth.

Responding right away without giving others time will turn it into a giant one on one, just trying to be reasonable is all

So we're fighting them then? If so, how do you want it to happen? How strong are these guys?

They are part of a murder guild, so at least fairly strong. I don't have this part of info up yet, but I hope to soon. We are in some sort of city which is a safe zone. So you can't actually cause damage to someone, but you can challenge someone or groups of people to a dual. Duals end when you land what would be the killing blow.

So they can literally ignore the impotent PKers? Unless the guild master is thinking to use a public duel to show off what her guild is capable of and attract more recruits.

Technically yes, but they can be overall jerks. For instance, they can cause quite a ruckuses without technically damaging anyone. Plus there is nothing against spamming everyone with dual requests. Eventually someone will accept their request and if they die then more people will get mad at them as they show off and more people will begin dueling and suddenly they have cause a massive disturbance. Especially when everyone is trying to prove how good they are.

Makes sense. If we wanna do a group duel with whoever's gonna be in it would it be best to do it together in a collab?

Well if we're going to fight together it'll either result in a lot of short interactive posts, breaking the fight into smaller separate fights with less interation but longer posts, or a collab with everyone interjecting wheneever they want their character to do something in the fight that ends up as one really big post.

My thought was a lot of small posts where not a lot happens, but enough for someone else to react to. I don't think I need to mention this, but at least 5 sentences during the combat scene.
