@Missykay we'll start the RP when enough people have made characters. I don't know how long it will take, but we won't be starting at least until tomorrow because I have to leave very shortly and can't keep track of the storyline.

That all sounds so exciting and... Hardworking @.@ but i'm worried... Won't it be incredibly difficult to get a job? I might've heard wrong, but isn't the animation area quiet busy? Like with a lot of people?

It probably is. With companies like Dreamworks and goddamn PIXAR in the field, it's going to be reeaaally hard to compete (even if they've both moved on to 3D animation now).


I think the best hope any of us have at making popular indie animations is with fanimations... I mean. Just look at Bani-Chan or whatever their name is on YouTube. They don't even use any animation software. Just freakin' Paint Tool SAI!

It's a lot of hard work, but I've been drawing and making short animations since I was little. I genuinely think if I did anything else with my life I'd just drive myself nuts xD


And with the introduction of CGI it is becoming an expanding industry, which is why they've been opening schools specifically designed to train students to use the current animation software they use in the film industry. So even now, animators are needed for almost all films. The school I'm looking at was founded by a former animator, and they do a technology check every year to make sure everything is up to date. Then they go out of their way to help students find jobs with film industries such as Disney and Pixar, so a lot of their students have worked on films like Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man 3


All sorts of big movies.


So hopefully if I can make it in that school (it will be a lot of hard school work xD ) I can make it as an animator. If not, I can continue work as a graphic designer where I'm working now

It's called the Digital Animation and Visual Effects School, or just DAVE. It's a year long trade school, and you can either choose to follow the film animation program (which is what I'm going into) or you can follow the video game animation program. You have to pick one for the year because you'll be doing nothing but projects, so you can't do both at the same time. You can, however, do one the first year, and come back next year to enroll in the other course.


And if you graduate, the tech labs are free for you to come back in and use for free to polish your demo reel or work on personal projects

So, I can't finish my character until I know if a person dies of sickness or old age or injury can someone "inherit" their animal form/soul??

I might just make a second character. I'm used to handling 4+ characters at once so two won't be a big deal. Any animal suggestions?


@Missykay it was established that souls disappear after death, so unless they took it while the person was alive, no.

So, what if a person was near death and on purpose gave themselves to another? That work?

I myself might make two characters. I'm already making my first one, and he actually wasn't my first animal idea. So if I make a second character I'll do my first animal idea

@Missykay souls can only persist after death if they are reaped and absorbed into another person's body. There's no way to 'gift' a soul to another.

@Missykay reaping is generally a very taboo act but... I guess that could happen? It would be very unusual but... There's nothing to say it's impossible.
