I'm wondering how Dante will respond when he finds out her ability.... He almost got killed by someone with a similar ability on his first night as a Vigilante XD

I was chuckling at that while writing my character. If Marie's powers weren't from an experiment, I would totally have said she was his estranged daughter ... but like, don't worry, he would have been kind of a douchebag.

That would have made things incredibly awkward. That is, unless she wanted to kill him herself anyway. Oh, and you can expect a lot of creative cursing the first time his ears get assaulted by her ability lmfao!

Then she just dangles from the scaffolding for a few minutes just leering at Dante, trying to decide how she feels ... ends up still pissed about her hand, jumps.

Alright, guys! My last post marked the END of the Introduction to the Tower storyline.

As of November 26th, I'll start the Hero Points system. I will reward each one of you that made it through the initial arc as well--proving your consistency, reliability and commitment to the roleplay.

As for the De Terra crew, that's one of my more skimpy, transitional posts. It was made so that we moved things along and gave you all something to individually reply to as a transition before we go straight into De Terra. Reason being, I don't want to just cut out to there, but I don't want to waste a massive amount of time. So, this is a one-reply as basically your final post in the Tower and on the plane before actually reaching the field in which I will do a small skip there as well, starting with Alex. We will eventually have another skip when they get on the boat, but after that, it should be consistent play-by-post writing. I'm thinking it should be around 7 - 9 posting cycles maximum before we get into the main plotline, probably less. I'm shooting for just five. The reason I didn't do a big fade-to-black cut is that a) I wanted to give Epiphany some breathing room and b) I personally feel disjointed from a story during massive skips, so I want the skips I use to be smaller.

Aaaaand, to everyone else. It takes like one ounce of deductive reasoning to figure out the teams. There are nine of you, so two teams of three for now while the three others go to De Terra. Past that, though, is a world of surprises.

Hmm ... do we want this to go relatively smoothly? I'm torn between Marie freaking out, and getting on with the plot. I guess I could find a happy medium, but what do you fine fellows think?

Well, given just who they're about to meet, her exact reaction maaaay not impact the progression as much as you think. She could over react. It's logical. She could also repress it like the others did.

I feel that if she does over react, it will trigger Alphus more than anything.

However, she could also be wrote as someone with a slow burn. Someone that this didn't bother too much at first, but after a while, it started to eat at.

Maybe a bit of both.

Another part of the reason I'm pushing these things early is to help give everyone a sense of their character. Alphus is building on his patterns of internal thought and compliance with Tim, but his boundaries are being pushed. Huge is exploring socializing for the first time in a long time and being without secrets, which is displayed with his internal discomfort. These may seem like small things, but they're framing the characters for how they are being played which is the foundation for their future development.

It is the way you play it and for my part -- I want to play Huge's discomfort as a slow burn as well; something that will add up and blow on his face at the end. However, your character may have a different personality and therefore her behavior and reaction to shock will divert.

And about plot and the main RP - I hardly believe a little buzz will change the direction we are heading towards; it would only spice things. Yet again, your choice.

Neon Valkyrie Agreeing with these two on this also. Knowing Paul, I don't believe either reaction will sway things much but as SB said, spice things up a bit. Honestly I could go either way with Marie's reaction, let's me play more into how Alphus can handle something like this when it's drawn out or if Marie freaks out, it let's me test how strong Alph0us can contain himself mentally and emotionally when a task is his priority.

Quick update!

My main PC died last night and it had all of my information I had set out for the Hero Point update I was about to make. I have parts ordered for a major upgrade, but they won't all be in apparently until the 14th or so...

Yeah. So, until I get that back, I'm delaying hero points. I may just push them back to be a 2018 installment and reward everyone a baseline set of points.

The turn of phrase "even demons run when a good man goes to war" in this case is all about motivation. A man is only as powerful as his drive. So what drives Huge, a good man at heart, to become enraged and "go to war" must be a motivation that even bad men, or demons, would be afraid of.

The assertion here is that whatever motivates Huge at core is something that will take him far, and that is what is interesting. Alphus and Marie both had more self-centered desires. A family for herself, to restore his family's honor...
