On the recruiting page there's Boarding Party Leader and Navigator not taken, but you can create other position to fit in that would make sense to have on a starship.

The Eclipse has just docked at Blackbeard's Roost, the main pirate hub. My character just left the ship and has met Scathe's character, and the rest of the crew are (I believe) about to step off the ship themselves. You can either come to us now, or you can wait until we resolve the current "situation". Either way, it shouldn't be any issue for your character to approach!
