Definitely do NOT pay attention to who is on what team. There's literally a guy on that team who is now HATED by the fan base for betraying us and being a scum bag (long story I won't got into it) but my point is, yea don't memorize this roster or anything. Very different team today. So I don't need to play close attention to who is on the teams in this case since it's all changed
No they're very common in hockey. Just saying that like don't expect a football game or soccer game score haha. Hockey is usually low scoring, or high scoring sometimes.I mean i dont think low scores are that big of a deal unless im mistaken i dont think soccer is a particularly high scoring sport.
Yeah soccer games don't tend to get that high a score normally. It's just more interesting to see the game being played, seeing what a match might look like.I mean i dont think low scores are that big of a deal unless im mistaken i dont think soccer is a particularly high scoring sport.
I was just saying im pretty sure soccer scores are pretty low too so if he watches any soccer he is probably used to sports with low scores. No they're very common in hockey. Oh yea the nets are pretty small. That's why I was like WOAH when I saw soccer goals and the soccer goalies going all over the place.Huh the one thing that is striking me is how small those nets are. Being used to something like soccer, the nets are huge, a goalie has to really jump and leap sometimes to block. There is no way to cover the whole thing.
Here, it seems like sometimes they're just able to body block the whole thing. Though obviously the puck is a much smaller target to block.
Yea it's wild. A lotta respect to goalies of both sports.Yeah whenever your in goal for socceer you are expected to sometimes litterally jump, or skid, leap, arms out to try and block the thing. Thankfully the balls don't hurt as bad as pucks to get hit by.
Ofc unlike Hockey you aren't in a ton of gear, players tend to be less strong and a bit more agile I guess?
Ok got it lol. Yea very true. A lotta big bulky guys in the NHL. Some lighter more goal scoring fast skating oriented guys too tho.Oh yeah I wasn't saying that Hockey players were clumsy or anything, you def need agility especially for some of the moves im seeing on the ice. Just I see it being more a strength sport given the amount of power being put into stuff. And the fact it looks like a lot of the players could crush someone like a walnut Compared to a lighter weight soccer players.
Oh I bet the pucks still hurt, padding can only do soo much. (and don't worry about converting speed, the UK is weird and we use both measurements for some reason. Socceer balls meanwile tend to get kicked at like 30-40 mph in youth leagues, and up to around 70 - 80mph in adult professional stuff. Record shot ever taken was just shy of 100mph at 98.2mph.
Thankfully they bounce more than a puck and have a bigger surface area, deflecting on impact but also can still suck to get hit by one in the wrong place - there is a reason goalies still have to wear gloves.
Actually I looked it up, on a penalty kick. So just a full power, piledrive, free shot taken against the goal, the world record apparently comes from a Brazilian player who managed a mindbloggling 131mhp on that kick back in 2006. Though nobody gets anywhere near that speed on an average.Damn, 70-80 mph for a SOCCER BALL? Impressive. Even more so that 98mph record.
You okay Liam?Hi
*waves*
Ouch!
Wow. Definitely impressive tho.Actually I looked it up, on a penalty kick.
