Oh yeah.... Felix is going to be bummed out for a good while. Nathan's not gonna be able to just fix that on the spot.
Thats what I thought just making sure cause I was going to have Nate like try a couple of different things to cheer him up like in the same post ya know?
I wonder if I should make Jack leave and go back to his room. His character and my gut is telling me to make him but the other part of me is like that'll be no fun. I'm debating here on how I want him to react to Asher's apology. He's kinda stubborn so he's less likely to forgive so quickly and that easy I feel.
Well you should do what you end up thinking is right for Jack but these are my thoughts.
Firstly just know if Jack does leave now Asher will avoid him so basically if they were ever going to make up Jack would have to pursue it. Because basically like I said in Asher's post he has given it his all here and has conceded to doing whatever jack decides so Jack leaving means Asher will assume Jack never wants to talk to him again and will give Jack what Ash thinks he wants by avoiding any interaction.

Secondly I know Jack is stubborn and thats fine but Asher has done basically everything he has the strength to do and if jack doesn't start giving a little it will likely go nowhere Ash just has no strength left at this point.

and yeah like bright says if jack leaves you wont likely have much to do for a while.

As a middle ground, if you really don't think Jack even seeing somebody crying infront of him could try and at least partiall-accept their apology. Kinda cold tbh.
Jack could end up storming off and maybe getting stopped by one of the staff members?
You're right, it is a bit cold. I don't think Jack's heartless. Now that I think of it and you say that, I'm more inclined to make Jack feel awful. That's just his character, he's compassionate. Shy, timid, quiet, and as stubborn as a mule, but not a jerk.

At this point he'll have alienated both older teens, and neither will try and interact with him giving you very little to do with Jack.

eing shy is one thing.
Being a stubborn is one thing.
But there is a point where his stubbornness is gonna come across as just being a bit of an ass even if he didn't mean for it to :P

Exactly you're right. Which is why I'm probably going to tap into that compassionate side of Jack and make him feel awful and probably forgive Asher or something.

You're right. If Asher will never attempt to speak to Jack again then Jack sure as hell is never speaking to Asher again because no way the kid pursues him on his own. I think I'll have him cave into his more compassionate side and forgive Asher.

I mean he doesn't even need to fully forgive Ash immediately - Just being willing to listen to Asher though as he's trying to explain it was a heat of passion not some planned manipulation, and that is was a mistake would be a start. RIght now it seems like Jack has kinda just run his own mental narrative ignoring everything Ash is saying in his apology.

Again I get it stubbornness but yeah.

Yea you're right. Jack's definitely not gonna leave him and ditch him to go back to his room, but he might need a little moment to think about things. I suspect my post will be quite short.

Yeah i mean I would have supported you doing whatever you felt was right for the character but I just wanted to be perfectly clear where it would lead cause I didn't want it to be a surprise and you not have anything to do with Jack.

Yea no I get it. I'm just debating with the way how I wrote his character, the route I wanna take it. I could go a couple of ways. I don't wanna make it boring for me, you guys, and ruin the story lol.

Well not ruin the story, but like you know, I wanna take the story an entertaining and interesting way, if that makes sense.

Yeah I get it sometimes we get in hard spots with characters and it just takes some talking with everyone else to figure things out.

My other thought was yeah I get that Jack is stubborn but if this wasn't going to break that stubbornness even a little then I have no clue what ever would have ya know? cause like this is some pretty deep stuff right now and if this didn't cause him to give a little I just don't know where Jack would ever develop ya know ?

Ev' right now also is less 'annoyed', well she is but to her hot anger does not last long. Instead it just turns to cold-isolation. Putting up her mental barrier and shield.

More or less right now, Ev' is literally just going to blank Jack. He made his intention very clear that despite her pushing herself to try and take interest, to even wanting to maybe try and treat him to something like a trip out to the Ice Rink. (No offense Ash, but your privileges are gone) He wasn't interested - so she's literally going to pretend he doesn't even exist unless Jack makes the first move and opens the door again.

And yeah this... I love the idea of the stubborn story development but if the shell is impregnable to even a character basically on the verge of a breakdown to them, not even a chip forming... Like what will move him?

Yea

Good point, this could be a good time for some character development and breaking a little bit of that stubbornness.

Ah got it. But makes sense.

Yea that makes 100% sense.

You're right. I think this is a perfect chance for some character development lol.

We want to see more from Jack! So we're just trying to help - we don't want you to write yourself into a corner where nobody wants to interact with Jack.

Yes certainly. I kinda forgot that we are getting kinda far along in this RP and I think now should certainly be that time I develop his character a bit and break his stubborn ways temporarily. I kept saying "just you wait guys, he'll change!" Well, I think I know what I wanna do now lol.

also no problem man I was kinda hoping you would bring this stuff up cause I was worried you were gonna corner yourself and not realize it but I didn't want to bring it up and seem like I was criticizing your character cause I love jack I just want more of him

Also adding onto my point with Ev'. She does not hold grudges. This is something Ash is fully aware of likely having upset her before and gotten the full-cold shoulder. Just like apologise and she'll typically open the door again.
Very few things will make you into an "enemy". She's compassionate, and understands strongly how different people are. She respects that.
