OOC (Rebirth of Brilliance)

Page 594 for melee weapons, pg 597 for thrown weapons, 598 for archery weapons, and 599 for armors.

Still haven't decided between merchant/bureaucrat or courtier. If someone gives me suggestions about which sounds better...

I think either would be fun. The merchant/bureaucrat maybe has more autonomy? Tell us more of how you envision each of them, maybe.

Both cases have the same rough backstory. Noble/bureaucratic caste from Kamthahar, obviously had to flee when Exalted because the Dragon-Blooded took exception to the Anathema...

One will have a lot more Presence/Socialize charms. The bureaucrat has some but a fair number of Bureaucracy charms as well.

Quite the melee tank with all of those ox body Charms. Nice build.

Just got my pdf of the Miracles of the Solar Exalted.  Now I have to read it over and see if there are any Charms I have to switch out.

I think I might want this charm, it's kind of amazing. Especially since there's someone with Volcano cutter.

Wake the Sleeper
Cost: 15m, 1wp; Mins: Lore 5, Essence 3
Type: Simple
Keywords: None
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Sacred Relic Understanding + Any
two Lore Charms

The Solar can unlock the true potential of an artifact. Grasping
an artifact to which she is attuned, and which is capable
of Evocations, the Lawgiver sends her Essence surging
through the relic’s chakras, merging its spirit with her own.
Roll the Solar’s ([Intelligence or Wits] + Lore) against a
difficulty of (the object’s rating + 2), or 10 if it’s N/A. If the
roll gains at least one success, the Solar automatically
unlocks one of the artifact’s Evocations without spending
experience points. If the Solar rolls successes in excess of
the difficulty, she unlocks half the extra successes (rounded
down) in Evocations. This Charm may be used once per
story, and may not be used again on the same artifact until
an amount of experience has been invested in it equal to
the cost of the Evocations that were unlocked for free. The
Exalt may not use this Charm to aid another character in
awakening Evocations until she is Essence 5+. Waive this
requirement if Lore is her Supernal Ability.

The last part is the things that makes me so interested in it :)

And you can let me know how the lore charms are if it has any so I know if I want it :P

I've been focusing on my Charm set, but I'll take a look for you.  The pdf by itself is only 3.99, so it's not a huge investment in any case.

Mechanically the sheet is done for my guy, I'll have the fluff and all the details either later tonight or tomorrow.

Basic stuffs:

Narwhal is from the South East, pretty easy, previous enforcer for an Umbral God in Champoor, the nighted city, used as a dark archer for summary executions and of course his talent in archery. He is turning a new leaf and essentially using his skills to bring back justice and the likes. Overall, he is a nice guy who really enjoys sweet when he gets the chance to get his hands on some.

He can nuke with his arrows, mostly big fiery explosions for his most impressive feats and he is also part of the Cult of the Illuminated, being one of their agents and known as a Shining One.

His friend is Jovial Beryl Lady, an exigent of Ryzala, think an exigent with paper powers (Guess read or die could be a good reference.) , who is on mission to hunt agents of heaven.

Links and the likes are welcome.

I'm very much interested in seeing the new combat system in play. Hell, I'm just interested in this game!

I really like it. It's a lot like Final Fantasy Dissidia. I think they actually said that was an inspiration for it.

With every combat, I'll be looking everything up to try and make sure that I don't make any screw-ups.  Hopefully I'll get the system quickly.

It definitely tries to encourage a lot more Charm use, and to be tactical with them. With weapons largely equalized and mortal weapons being a lot more feasible, you rely a lot more on your combos.

I think the only thing I like more about 2/2.5E over 3E is that I had access to Lunars and Abyssals and all those other extras. Once we've got those for 3E along with Liminals and Exigents I'm never going to be look back. Well except maybe for hearthstones and artifacts that could be converted to 3 easily.

I never heard of those.

I think I'm done with everything other than backstory and writing out info for charms.
