Fantasy OOC for Down the Rabbit Hole

His heart definitely belongs to Aria, he just has fun getting reactions out of people when he flirts.

I think personally it reminds me of how Aries behaves. He likes to joke and play and get reactions from people, personally feeling that everyone has an equal opportunity to be picked on/offended. In fact our one good friend who has adopted herself into the role of Dj's Godmother calls Aries her Asshole. Only she is allowed to call him that. But as much as he plays about and teases, he still is mine.

Oh I am so going to beat the crap out of Leo...I just know he's the one saying it, or something close to it. Dj had been repeating earlier pus.sy-cat. Which not so bad because they are also called pus.sies, but now her is calling our little doxy ' pus.sy-dog'

Lol. Probably a good idea to try and teach Dj not to say that. Good luck with it though.

I'm heeeerrreee..... *flops down dramatically* We hiked this morning and I'm exhausted.

Aww. -pets- Exhausting but I bet it was fun! I have been writing, and holy cow do I have a depressing scene. >.> Poor Aria.

I decided to rename the stuck up prince. He is rechristened as Zoltan.

I used to go to school with a Zoltan. Cool name. The hike was amazing. We saw Horseshoe Bend.

You should put a link to the OOC in the main thread.

And the character sheet also in the OOC. I think it would make it way easier for other people to get involved. ^_^

So I didn't fully get through the scene in my head yet, but I am trying to incorporate another via a confrontation to try to release Aria's sister and Lilah....But yea.... poppet poppet Kry Kry I'll share some of what I got.

Aria sighed softly, hands tightly clasped together in front of her on the bar top. “I’m sure you’ll make the right choice in the end.” The bastard had told her. Under the guise of protection, he had taken her baby sister, had taken a fellow royal that had no memory of herself and locked both of them up in one of his castle rooms. Their only chance at freedom? Her. She had to marry the asshole in a large extravagant wedding ceremony. It was despicable, even many of the subjects of the Atlantian kingdom knew she had no feelings for the spoiled prince, in fact one could say she loathed him with a deep passion. The mermaid’s heart belonged to her gentle shark, Auris. Stepping away from the counter, she walked around and went up the employee only stairs, stopping at the door that led to her room. A hand on the knob while the other laid palm flat on the wood, she took a deep breath and opened the door, almost fanatically wishing that Auri was waiting in the middle of the room, his arms hanging loose at his side and a gentle teasing smile on his face.

Her wish was so strong, she swore she could actually see him there, hear his slightly raspy voice chuckle before asking if she missed him, the smell of deep salty sea water with a slight tint of blood that followed all predators filled her nose. She managed to make it into her room and shut the door before the sobs bubbled in her throat. Tears raced down from ruby eyes as her hellish mirage faded from sight. Crumpling to her knees, hands reaching up to grip at her shirt over her heart, a wail slowly spilling from her lips. Gods did she miss him, why did he have to leave? As a royal, logically she understood, but emotionally she couldn’t stand being parted from him for the long months he had been away from her. Nothing mattered than keeping him by her side, something she had intended to make clear to him when he returned. Zoltan seemed to have another idea though. The beautiful Atlantian prince had decided to cruelly strike when the shark was away, pushing the princess between a rock and a hard place.
Slowly uncurling from the bowed position on the floor, she wiped uselessly at the tears that still poured from her eyes, sound no longer coming from her. Aria walked to her personal bathroom and undressed, clothes dropping to the floor instead of being thrown into the hamper by the door. Stepping under the hot spray of the shower, she curled into a ball in the corner, body shivering from a soul deep cold. Time held little meaning to her as she sat there, but even in her heartbroken mind, she knew she had to get out. Standing and doing a quick wash in the now icy cold water that added a blue tinge to her skin and lips, she finished rinsing off and turned the water off. A slow blink and suddenly she was standing in front of her dresser, fingers caressing the hilt of the black knife Auris had given her for defense after the last time she had visited with him and been challenged by another shark. It would be so easy, taking the knife from its small sheath, to slice that blade across either wrist or her throat and she would bleed out before anyone would even notice. She could escape from Zoltan, escape from her controlling father, the pressures of a princess, and if the prince was to be believed, she would be joining her love.

Feeling the cold, sharp bite of the metal, she watched a ruby bead grow on her wrist and slide down the curve of the balade. Blinking furiously, she flung the blade away from her with a scream, embedding it a few inches into the wood of her walls. Aria couldn’t do that, and the prince was a stuck up liar. Auris wasn’t dead. He couldn’t die, not without her permission. He was HERS! Eyes catching the sparkle of the black pearl in her ring, an idea formed in her head that would prevent the prince from getting his wishes, protect her sister and new friend, plus keep her safe till Auris could come for her.

Morning came and went as Aria crafted her curse. She had heard about this particular curse in old legends from both her kingdom and from Auris’. Quick acting, tied to a key phrase, it would paralyze the victim into a death like sleep until a combination of life magic transference from a kiss and a key phrase was uttered within seconds of each other to the victim. Picking up the engagement ring Auris had given her, it was hard to imagine it now carried a curse that could change many things. Slipping the ring back to its usual home on her left ring finger, she walked to her closet to get dressed for the day. She knew she would have to move it, but as long as it stayed on or near her body, the curse could tie itself to her and be affected by it no matter if the prince demanded she remove it. Tired red eyes gazed around the small room, trying to decide what best to wear. Finding a bag of clothes tucked away in the back, she grinned. It would be perfect to show up the cruel prince.

Locking the door to the building behind her, Aria strode away with her head held high. A slight, haughty smirk made its way to her lips, many of the people out and about in the northern district were seeming to snap their necks as they did double takes to stare at her. She was dressed to kill and she knew it, in more ways than one. It was an outfit gifted to her by the shark that had lost to her in a challenge for the shark prince’s affections. Black sleeveless corset laced up tight with silver ribbon, the panel behind the front laces missing to allow free view of skin from her chest to her belly button. Short black skirt that stopped at mid thigh in the front but in the back fell down around her ankles. Knee high black boots with a two inch heel, and just above the knee she had a silver band with space to hold a knife, two more silver bands decorated her upper arms, complimenting her existing jewelry she had from home; a bracelet ring chain done in silver with a ruby gem centered to the back of her hand and a silver tiara with a teardrop shaped ruby at the center of her forehead and accenting red color following the intricate lines as the metal disappeared to her hair. Hanging from the black metal chain around her neck was her inheritance; the Trident of Poseidon. This was the main thing Zoltan was after, it had been said that the wielder would rule all the oceans.

Climbing the steps of the palace, she ignored and was equally ignored by the guards at the doors as she walked to the main receiving hall of the Royal family. Twirling her hands to form a ball of pure energy and cloud, she thrust her hands forward to blast open the doors. Inside, servants and advisors were scrambling around to pick up the things that either dropped from around the room or that others had dropped as well. The prince was standing, carrying a look of triumph while the king and queen were in shock. “What is the meaning of this?!” Cried the King, a wizened old man with grey hair and a hunched frame, but a steely gaze that belied the loss of strength in his physical body. “My most sincere apologies King Alastair, I am here to retrieve my sister and my friend, Lilah, from your son, Zoltan.” Aria replied, glaring at Zoltan, watching the play of emotions on his face while his family gasped in shock. “How can you make such accusations?” Shouted the Queen, standing beside her husband in front of their two children. Aria nodded, a quick bob of the head to their questions. It was understandable, this surprise accusation to someone they only ever saw being a good son. They never saw how he worked against them in the background, how he manipulated things to get his own way. Just like now. Murmuring a quick chant, water condensed into a small ball between her hands. Widening the space her hands were held apart, the water flattened out to look like a spinning mirror. Another chant and suddenly an image of a red haired curled sitting on a love seat with a snow white haired girl, hugging her and offering some comfort against the bare furnishings and the chains attached to each ankle.

It was. I know I need to add more but I'm stopped up at that point. At least as far as transitioning that scene over to where it is during the wedding. Lilah and Aleesia have escaped and are hiding/left the city to find Auris, Aria is dressed up and standing at the alter next to Zoltan. Aria will start to smile sadly, she can feel the curse starting to grip her, waiting to hear the officiant ask if Zoltan will take her to be his wife. Just as he stops speaking so Zoltan can talk, Aria can feel the curse taking effect as she falls to ground, paralyzed and breathing so shallowly to be considered dead.
Robbing Zoltan the chance to ascend to the rank of king, depriving him of access to the Trident and access to the kingdom of Atlas. Melody, the young princess, pleads with her parents to place Aria in a glass casket so that others can 'view' her before they send Aria back home to be properly buried. Mainly because Melody was let in on Aria's plan and her hope that since Auris created the ring for Aria, she figures he might have actually done something so that in the even he was away from her, he could still "monitor" her health and emotions from a distance and would know something was wrong and he needed to get back to her...

Nice. I really really like it. I wonder where Auris went and if he'll be able to save Aria in time? Hmmm lol

I'm not sure what I had in mind for why he disappeared. Only thing I could think of would be either wanting to do something for Aria, or something about his kingdom he needed to attend to.
And ofc he would make it back to her in time, especially after running into Aleesia. Or her swimming/crashing into him, willingly and crying about her sister and telling him Aria's plan. Melody would sneak him into the castle grounds to get to her casket. I can see Zoltan there, attempting to molest her, his anger at being denied strong enough he doesn't notice Auris till the shark is attacking him to defend the mermaid. I can see Auris chuckling sadly about her laying there, supposedly dead, but when he leans down to kiss her and can feel the life energy transference, chuckles more. He takes the ring from her necklace with the Trident, slipping it on her finger and repeating the vows Zoltan didn't get to speak, which allows Aria to awaken. Down with cruel prince Zoltan then.

I love it. Though something dire would have to happen to make Auris return to his kingdom without a bride on his arm though. I'm not opposed to his mother falling ill and dying or not dying, that would definitely draw him away lol. Otherwise if he returns his father will force him to marry some random princess from some random kingdom that he knows nothing about. I can see him definitely going off to do something for Aria, or find something super rare to give her as a gift or something.

I think I was actually going to ask if he did have any family beside his father... And if he still had magic from the sea witch is not...I had half debated that Aria holding the ring and basically praying hard for Auris to come back and her magic reacted, connecting her voice to his mind so he could hear her plead for him to come back. The idea of him disappearing to get or make her something is a good thought, if i date it before Aria's birthday.

Ah, after getting his eyes back from the sea witch, the magic he had gotten from her kindof went away. He just has his normal ability of being able to speak with and control sharks of any kind. Though I do like the idea of her magic reacting and sending her voice to his mind. He'd be very confused at first, lol.

Ah. Okay. Yea I could see that. Brows furrowed as he hears her voice calling his name, looking around, expecting her to be there. But she couldn't be out near him, he was still some miles away and he hadn't told her he was leaving. But his satchel had part of her gift, of course jewelry since he likes spoiling her, but a few other items that were quite practical. Being a warrior, weapons are fairly typical to gift, and Aria had asked his help to learn self defense to better prevent being challenged for him again. Since the one time she did visit Pandoris, one of the princesses that his father brought to get to marry Auris, challenged Aria to a duel. Like that would cause him to change affections. Luckily, Aria was underestimated, her magic had not been widely known, let alone her owning the Trident, and it had been a close fight, Aria still won, and got a few scars to show for it along her back...

If I disappear, I have quite possibly passed out to sleep. I normally have the weekends off, but the other assistant manager requested time off on this weekend. So my next days off are Wednesday and Thursday.

I am going to bed lol. But Auris having a bag full of gifts is perfect, he does love doting on and spoiling Aria.
