Sure thing - I'll give it a closer look later today!

Short note: The chapel is a secluded place, just barrows around it, a single other building nearby. Probably should have pointed that out explicitly to avoid confusion. That also means that Rex could approach on his weasel, if that's preferred.
I'm fine. Its within whistling distance. Besides, I didnt buy any animal food. So it's got to eat sometime.

Not to mention a Kobold charging in on a weasel is a good way for people to think you are a raider and snipe you with a couple arrows.

That might be for the better, actually, just wanted to present the option. I'll get a post up later today, folks, good writing!

We can just fudge my posts bit and say it wasn't like deep in town when he spoke to one person.

Priest fist fighting still seems pretty kewl

Exactly what you need after a day like you describe...

And yeah, we just forget about the word 'town' in the post and we're ready to go :)

RaynieTaco RaynieTaco Update on the character sheet: Looks good to me. Got one question: Horse or no horse? Didn't find it under equipment, but I believe you wrote that you were considering one, at least - figured I'd ask in case you want to have one and forgot to add it.

I don't think I will have a horse. Sorry for the confusion. He can walk. Power is out but I will be going to my parents place- so I should be active

Dang, that doesn't sound good - the power, I mean. Hope everything else is alright on your end, don't you worry about activity here; we'll happily wait for you if needed. Also, thanks for the clarification.

I've seen reports of a tornado ripping into Nashville last night. Last I heard, there's at least 19 deceased and dozens wounded, with many still missing.

I'm just glad that you are ok. Things could have been much worse for you.

That's the one I was talking of. Last I heard there was 6 deaths. Didnt realize it had gone up so high.

Twisters in the night are the worst ones for casualties. Everyone is asleep, and are less likely to be notified of a threat to go get shelter.

It always evens out, in the end - I'm rolling only high numbers over here, for example...

Good to hear you're ok, Taco. One of those things that feels surreal, just hearing about it from afar.

Silanon Silanon can Benji attempt a diplomatic roll too or should we stick with the ones rolled. I am fine with it either way.

Thanks guys- you are all sweet. It feel crazy how fast this all happened

Yup! DM rolls high. Players roll low. :3 looks like we got a challenge in our hands.

Yikes! I'm glad you are ok, too! Here's to hoping your home is not damaged!

And I roll a bloody 17 on my Diplomacy effort! Ha!

This is probably a good question to ask in general - there'll probably be plenty of moments where you all might want to attempt a similar thing with a different twist, depending on your character. Playing on a table, I'd probably take the first result, then go from there - here, that means just another day or two of wait. So I'd ask you all to directly add a respective check if you're sure which one it is - I might disregard the result if I feel like it's not needed and/or inappropriate, or I might look at your skill list to find something I believe is more appropriate to the task, but at least it doesn't mean a needless delay.

In this particular instance, the first two pretty much botched the entire thing already - let me try to run through what I see right now, and how I'd probably rule it:
- First, Grit attempts his diplomacy check, suggesting that they may beat up each other somewhere else, and that he does not belong to the cleric. Given his roll, that likely won't work out too well, but you can't have it all, can you?
- Then Renna speaks, in a way that I'd argue is different from the kobold's approach. Grit mostly defends himself, trying to stay out of it. Renna tries to end it. So I'd judge that this is a different roll.
- Lastly, Nyx raises his voice - in support of Renna. That means that this isn't a diplomacy check, but a diplomacy roll to aid Renna, in my book. This is successful, so it will grant Renna a bonus on her roll. If 10 is a breakpoint where things change in your favor, that might just save the day. Note that given another approach by Nyx, maybe using his appearance and strength to impress them, might have me consider this as an Intimidation check instead; that's not the case here, just wanted to mention it; your choice of skills to roll might not always fit my interpretation.

Benji could now, for example, raise his voice to support Renna's question. Depending on what he might add (that's important - please never just write 'I wanna do a diplomacy check' but tell me what the characters say - thus far, you've done that (Rex had his part in the post further up)), I might say that it grants another bonus, that it does not add a new point, or that it's a roll independent from the other rolls.
Does this make sense? Lemme know if not. So in total - yes, you may attempt to use diplomacy here, and you may just add a dice roll to your post - then leave the interpretation to me.

Works for me! Besides, the only thing I like more than rolling dice is rolling dice again.

Also! Fun isn't starting until a kobold gets beat up for no reason.

I hadn't even thought about using Intimidate instead of Diplomacy for Nyx, but it should have been a natural course for me to go with. Well, we will see what comes of our efforts to diffuse the situation.
