Fandom One Piece Preliminary Interest Thread

Just so people here know, progress is being made! I'm going on a roleplay work spree today and so that means we should make decent ground.

I know a lot of you have started working on characters already and that's great and fine and fantastic! Our world needs locations so if you have created and/or used a location that you would like us to place on the map, I would very much appreciate it if you could send me a little blurb about any islands mentioned in your character's backstory. You can PM them to me and I will rejoice and we will get to roleplaying that much faster. This is not mandatory, but we would like to have a decently accurate map of where we're all from... xD
 
Already a heads up: I'm in Milan this week until saturday. So, if the Cs and stuff are up before sunday then I will be a little late.

I am still accepting anything and everything. Character submissions won't open until we actually have a roleplay, though. The rp does not yet exist because I would like to have everything extensively planned before we get started.

Sweet! I completely understand why you are waiting to make it until you get everything in order. It's a lot easier to have a basic timeline/plot-line at the beginning then make adjustments as the RP goes than making up the plot-line as you do. Not to mention it runs a lot smoother. ^_^


I'm all caught up in the One Piece manga and slowly catching up on the anime. So if you have any questions, I could answer them, though @BlacklegSanji seems to be already helping on that end. :) I have a couple of ideas for locations, which you are more than free to refuse but just like to through them out there. Since they could be fun.


1. Having a "guild" town/country. Not sure how many of you guys played Tales of Vesperia, but the "Guild Town- Dahngrest" was the main source of this idea. If not, the Fairy Tail manga/anime is sorta similar to the idea minus magic. Basically there's a lot of guilds inside a town that work as their government system and military. There's monster hunting guilds, merchant guilds, adventuring guilds, blacksmithing guilds, etc. I think it would be a fun idea going to a place like this since it was one of my favorite locations in the Tales game. The Pirates in the RP can befriend or make an enemy out of them, or both!


2. This is another video game inspired location idea. This one comes from the Legend of Dragoons game, Valley of Corrupted Gravity . Basically, gravity is really messed up in this place. This location could have resulted from two (or more) powerful Devil Fruit users like in the One Piece anime/manga's Punk Hazard . I think it would be a lot of fun exploring and fighting in an area like this.


3. As far as I can recall, there were several One Piece countries based on real countries and locations. Arabasta was basically Egypt and Middle East. Water 7 was inspired from the city of Venice. Dressrosa is possibly inspired by Spain. So we create locations based off of other countries like France, Australia, etc.

Hi guys! I just figured I'd throw a little plug in here to keep everyone up to date and hopefully maintain some of the hype we've got running into everyone's system at the moment. I'm hoping to at the very least have a character skeleton available to all of you next week. The skeleton itself exists, but we are still working out a few rules regarding what we will and won't accept for characters at the beginning so once we get those figured out, I should be able to point people towards a CS. Beyond that, I'm also hoping to have the rp in existence in some form next week although I'm not nearly as certain about this prospect quite yet because I have a busy weekend ahead of me.
 
A little update about my character. I've ended up combining old and new concepts between my musician characters for this RP and the last one DaughterofAthena ran. (Isn't the character creation process grand?) So here's an updated look at Cait. If you were in the One Piece: New World RP she's basically Tora with a personality overhaul.
