On Freud's Footprints [Manoneno1 x LynxAmelia] [Inactive]

"Perhaps," Clair said, falling in step with him while walking out of the class. Then she looked at her watch, "Almost time for lunch," she hummed cheerfully, "What to do in the meantime...."

"I wonder, can I offer you a dinner? I know a fine cafe nearby", he suggested with a smile. "Only good thing what this cafeteria has is a wide tea selection."

Clair looked at him with a smile and tilted her head a little causing a majority of her hair to fall over her shoulder, "Why that is awfully sweet of you, Logan, thank you." Then she looked forward at students milling about, "Where is this cafe, I wonder?" she mused.

Clair nodded a little and somehow did not push her hair back. Strangely, she seemed to like actually being feminine around Logan. Even though she got laughed at for it. She shook her head slightly and walked ahead before extending her hand to him involuntarily once more.

Logam hesitated her hand until they were far enough and then he took her hand softly, slightly smiling himselfs as they walked.

Clair could almost immediately feel herself warming up to him. "Thanks for that," she said softly, moving just a little closer to him.

"my pleasure", he hummed with a small smile still on his lip as they walked. "Here we are", he informed as he opened the door for her.

Clair was rather reluctant to part with his hand, but she did for the sake of entering the cafe. Then she picked an empty table and walked over to it, hoping Logan would follow.

"I'm making an order, what will you take?", he asked as he walked next to the table. Soom he heard his phone tremble amf he pulled it from his pocket, watching the screen. "Sorry, my daughter", He apologied and answered the phone. "Well hello darling! How are you? Good good, no you didn't I'm just going to eat with a friend of mine. Yes. Again?", he started the conversation and started to laugh. "How fast do you manage to get weed around your garden? Fine fine dear, I will. See you at the weekend", he continued and hang up. "She wanted me to handle her garden. She hates gardening."

Clair blinked a couple of times, "Gardening.. I can't remember the last time I did that. It used to be a hobby of mine... once.." She began staring off blankly into the distance in deep contemplation before saying, "I'll just have a sandwich," out of the blue.

Logan stared at her a while as she just stared forward. Nowadays youngers seldom do gardening, he thought, but he was pleased to hear that someome would still do it. "Okay, any drink?", he asked again.

"Salad and water", he answered and tilted his head a bit, guessing she wasn't pleased about his light choice. "And maybe piece of cake if you share it with me."

Clair huffed, "No wonder you are so painfully thin, I'm surprised clothes even fit you," she said before making a small waving motion with the back of her hand, "Now shoo, get two pieces of cake. One for you to eat and one to share."

Logan smiled a bit and squinted. "You should have seen me when I was young, you would have fainted", he said, smile fainting a bit anarchistically at her demand, but quietly obeying her and making an order.

Clair remained seated and looked out of the window beside her with a hand on her cheek and the other drumming on the table. Eventually she took to biting her lip gently in thought.

Soon Logan came back, giving a vegetarian sandvich, piece of fruit cake and an applejuice for her and then sitting, putting his wallet in his pocket.

Clair looked up at Logan. "Where's your salad?" she asked, inspecting the food he'd laid out before her, "You're eating too remember?"

"They didn't have ready one, they"re doing at this moment", he said with a dry hem, leaning his jawline on his fist. "Don't worry about it this much."

"Have you looked at yourself?" she said, holding her hands open and pointing to him, "And the food you eat is measly! Dear lord, I have no idea how you've survived all these years."

"I've been listening that homily my whole life. I'm normal weight, It's just that I have always been petite. End of the discussion", he explained with slightly frustrated tone. There was already his daughter taking care of his condition. He didn't need the other in his life.

Clair was stunned by his words. And rather hurt. Looking at him for a few seconds, she nodded a little and looked down at her plate. Suddenly she seemed to have lost her appetite. Perhaps she shouldn't have gotten close to the professor. Pushing back her chair, she stood up, "Thank you for your time, professor," she said stiffly before taking her applejuice and sandwich and looking for another table to sit at.

Logan frowned at her reaction. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm just sad how people use their energy on worrying about the thing I know is absolutely okay when there's more important things to think", he said and raises his hands with pleading expression. "Please don't go."
