I can make a connection with @LeviathanL 's nation. I can document something like having explorer's accidentally discover and make contact with the Free City of Corvago.
The relationship at first would probably be skepticle for the both of them since all that has been presented to them was a band of men that looked like tall desert savages carrying with them rags(tents) and and basicl looking equipment. At first they were amusing for the Corvagians until they saw thier tools and equipment - They were steel and steel meant iron. A very valuable resource for workers, soldiers and pioneers. Of course, Some merchants/explorers followed the Noiia People back to thier homelands braving dangerous intellegent reptiles, giant sandworms and mammal-like repitles. They made it through, most of them and had accended to the calmer glasslands within the Noiia kingdom where they would find out what resources they could trade with the indiginous population. Thus began a young relationship in trade that had lasted a century.
