Of Shadows and Swords (Chiarra)

She sighed a bit and said, "Well, I guess you can kiss me on the cheek before you tell him, as long as you tell him afterwards." She squeezed his hand a bit and smiled softly. "But I think he would still have make the same face when you tell him." He would be surprised either way anyways.
 
((gtg get ready for work. Might reply again before leaving))


Archer shrugged a little. "Probably." A thought occurred to him though, and he made a show of pouting. "Only on the cheek?" How unfair.
 
((Okay then))


She laughed at him and then blushed as she leaned forward a bit, kissing him on the mouth.
 
Archer pushed his luck a bit, bringing a hand up to cradle the back of her neck when she kissed him and keeping it going for longer than she'd intended, though he let her go when she started to pull away. He smiled a little more sedately when he could see her again, and ran his fingers through her hair as he brought his hand away. "That's better."


((Sorry. I had to leave earlier than usual today since I had to deposit a check first, and I hadn't realized what time it was O-O))
 
((It's fine, was kept busy myself anyways lol))


Melody blushed a bit more when she felt his hand on the back of her neck, but continued to kiss him a bit longer, it was just so...nice and wonderful. After a few more moments though, she pulled back and he would be able to see the blush on her face. She smiled back at him and then embraced him for a moment, before pulling away and saying, "I think we should check on Lucius."
 
((By Inuyasha again? lol))


He made a show of rolling his eyes in an overexagerated way, and slumped his shoulders as he started walking back towards their tent. "Lucius, Lucius, Lucius," He mock-grouched, waving his hands around. "Is everything about that lazy bum?"
 
((Actually, I haven't been able to yet watch Inuyasha yet. Getting ready too once I finally finish up on Subeta. Epicon is wearing me out lol.))


She laughed at him and said, "Just one little peak in on him and then we can go somewhere else." She caught up to him and grabbed his hand softly.

Archer chuckled a little and curled his fingers firm and warm around hers. "We'll just have to let him tag along, you know." He said, not quite as disturbed about it as he should be. "Maybe we can find his little Raven friend and they can pine over their mutual lack of knowledge for a while."
 
((You have to play certain games ten times a day for points and every day at midnight, except on weekends, they come out with a new game and when it's over, they open the Epicon shop and you can spend the points you have earned in that shop. It's fun at first, but after a few days it becomes a pain lol. They have awesome stuff though for your avatar. Like mom one year, bought me a heart piece like from Legend of Zelda and when you have your avatar wear it, it has the Zelda health bar above your avatar and it's so cool.))


"Maybe he will, maybe he won't," she said, but she knew he would. Who would want to stay in that small tent all day anyways with nothing to do or anyone to talk to.


((BTW, how did the Ramune taste?))

When they got back to the tent, Lucius was in the process of sitting up and just beginning to realize they were gone. He relaxed, though, when they appeared in the entryway, and Archer grinned at him, holding the tent flap up above them. "Good morning, sleeping beauty! It's time to get up and go talk to your girlfriend now." It got him a shoe thrown at his head, but it was worth it and he ducked in time anyway.


((Ooooo, it was good ^_^ The strawberry one, anyway. The mystery flavor I haven't identified is still capped and seal in the fridge lol I've had other strange but not Japanese sodas to try. . . I bought like 10 different ones. I have a thing about strange sodas/carbonated drinks))
 
((Lol, it does get me frustrated and I'm feeling like it's a chore now. And I would really like to try some Ramune as well, and I like trying out weird drinks too lol.))


"Archer," she laughed a bit, but she agreed with Lucius on this one, they barely knew each other. "Morning Lucius," she said. "We were just seeing if you were awake yet. Though maybe it is a good idea to go talk to Natalie now."
 
((Yay ^-^ Yeah, it's fun. I had a chocolate soda a couple days ago and it was just about the strangest thing I've ever tasted O_O In a good way, but still))


Archer tossed Lucius his shoe back and Lucius just rolled his eyes as he got it back on. "Good morning, Melody." He said, pleasantly but with the emphasis on her name, then glared at Archer. "You can go jump in a lake."


Archer shrugged. "Just might."


"Good." Lucius shook his head and got up, brushing himself off. "We should go and thank her."
 
((Chocolate soda? That sounds nasty lol. I want to try it lol. I've had chocolate popsicles before, they're alright.))


Melody just sighed softly and said, "Well come on then." She wondered if the girl was even out and about yet and wondered what had happened to her last night, Alrin had seemed very upset with her. She wanted to hold Archer's hand, but not yet, not when Lucius didn't know about them. So for now, she clasped her hands behind her as she waited for Lucius to get ready and they went to find Natalie. 
((Finally I am finished with Subeta lol. Now to make a bowl of noodles and watch Inuyasha lol))

But the soda was interesting lol It was like drinking hot chocolate once it's gone cold, with some added sugar and carbonation. Not entirely bad but strange nonetheless))


Archer could almost see Melody starting to reach for him, and instead of standing temptingly nearby, he slung an arm around Lucius' neck and shoulders and annoyed him for half the trip through the circus grounds. Nothing was set up since they were between towns, and the tents were already being taken down, so Archer hoped they could find the girl soon.
 
((No not those kind. They were made from Hershey's and the taste was a bit off and I bet that was strange lol))


Melody smiled when Archer slung his arm around Lucius's neck and she followed him out the tent, glad things hadn't changed.


Natalie hadn't been punished like she had thought she would, she just received a lecture, Alrin thinking that Adrian coming after her was punishment enough. She was out helping to take down the tents now though and she smiled and waved when she saw Melody, Archer, and Lucius approaching her. She walked up to them and smiled happily. "I hope you have slept well last night," she said.
 
((Ooooh O.o Okay, good. 'Cause fudgsicles are amazing :3))


When they finally found Natalie, Archer acquiesced and let go of Lucius, laughing a little at the thought of 'girlfriend' again when they had parted. "He sleeps like the dead all the time, so I'd say yes."


Lucius nudged him in the ribs, but was smiling a little and just shook his head. "We slept well. Thank you for your hospitality. . . Are you moving on now?"


((Is it strange that I can spell acquiesce but half the time I misspell simple words? :( ))
 
((What does that word even mean, but I know how you feel lol))


Melody chuckled a bit and Natalie smiled, nodding at Lucius's question. "Yes, we are scheduled to be at the next town by the end of this week," she said. She bit her lip a bit. "I suppose you will be leaving now?" she asked. It was a shame, she was hoping that they could stay longer, but she didn't know what Master would say to that.


Melody wondered if one of the boys would ask, if not, she would.
 
((Basically means to give in, but sort of reluctantly))


Lucius started to shift a little uncomfortably, so Archer just began speaking, as was his way, and made up their reasons as he went. "We were hoping, if it is not too much trouble, that we may travel together should we be heading in the same direction. It would be a nice change of pace, I think, from traveling alone. And, well, Lucius has never met another Raven before, so you can understand our desire to stay a while longer, yes?" He paused a little, letting her think about it, and added. "We would not ask for charity. We can carry our own weight." He flashed a winning smile. "Literally and figuratively."

Natalie smiled, happily. "I would love it if you came along," she said. "But unfortunately, I have no say in this. Master is the founder of this circus, so you would have to bring it up with him. I'm sure he wouldn't mind though." She hoped anyways. "He's over there," she said, pointing over to where he was, talking to the cook.
 
Archer nodded. "That direction it is, then." He gave Lucius a shove towards Natalie and darted away before Lucius could retaliate. "You stay here!" Lucius rolled his eyes but let him go. Archer was better at talking anyway.
 
Melody smiled softly and waved at them before following after Archer. When they got to Alrin, he had just finished speaking with the cook as they came up to them.


"Ah, the new guests," he greeted them. "I suppose you are rested up?" he asked.


Melody nodded, "But we had something to ask you."


"Which is?" he asked, looking at them inquiring.


"Well...we..." she didn't know exactly how to phrase what they were wanting.

Natalie chuckled a bit and smiled at Lucius. "I don't bite you know," she said teasingly. She bit her lip, a bit nervously, as she asked, "So...you can manipulate shadows too. Can I see?"

Archer stepped in when Melody floundering, smiling with only a little tilt of the lips rather than his usual grins. "We're going to be traveling in the same direction, and we would be very grateful if we could do so together. We would offer whatever services we can as compensation."

Lucius shook his head and tried not to look around too suspiciously. "I - I can't. Not with so many people around."
 
"I see," he said, stroking his long white beard (*snickers*, sorry couldn't help it lol. You know, we should just give him a staff and some starry robes and pointy hat lol.)


"We would appreciate it very much," Melody said


"I don't see why not, for the time being," he said.

Natalie nodded, a bit disappointed, but she understood. "The only thing I know how to do is to make things disappear," she said. "What can you do?" She at least wanted to know, even if he couldn't show her.

Archer smiled a little more and gave a respectful bow. "Thank you, sir. It will be a relief to travel with others. It is more safe and enjoyable in numbers, I think."

Lucius shifted a little, feeling self conscious. "I . . . I can travel through shadows, if that's what you mean. I can . . . make walls. . . I . . ." He glanced about, made sure no one was looking, and put his hands together, forming a little mouse in his palm and opening enough to let her see it move about. "Just . . . little things, for now. Imitations. I can't . . . I've only recently begun practicing more."
 
((Lol ^_^ and it's fine, totally understand lol))


Alrin smiled back and nodded. "Well, we could use some help taking down these tents," he said.

Natalie smiled and then gasped a bit when she saw him make a cute little mouse and have it move around. "That's amazing," she exclaimed. "How do you do it?" It was clear she knew even less than he did.
