Of Brick and Stone (open)

(It's okay! c: I know that feeling. I've been like that lately. So much thing to do. Lately I've been only able to get on from friday to monday D:)

"The chips?" Aaly's brows scrunched together and she went inevitably silent. For some brief seconds there was no more talking. Instead, just the noise produced by their quiet steps against the ground beneath their feet and their breathing. "Perhaps . . . But, Trent has got those. How would we even be able to get out hands on those? Also, he'd give them to Crisis, if her parents knew we have them, they'd be useless" With an exasperated sigh, she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Let's just kidnap him, I don't know"

"Don't give him the real ones" Maurice suggested "What does he need them for anyway?"

"I don't know. He didn't ask for them, his girlfriend did"

(Holy crap I'm so sorry it took me forever and a day to reply. From now on I'm going to try and get on here once a week so there's not this huge gap!)

"You know," Shotgun said wagging his finger at Aaly. "That's not a bad idea. Why not just kidnap him. And then once we have him away from his safty zone we make him an offer. And while were at it we should ask him why he wants the chips in the first place. What do you guys think? Could we pull off a kidnapping?" Shotgun grinned at the thought. The past month had been more excitement then he had seen in the past year. The thrill was starting to get him hyped. He really loved missions like these.

(It's alright c: I do understand that sometimes we don't have the time :) )

"Don't look at me. I'm the tech guy" Maurice replied with a shrug.

Aaly wasn't quite sure if he wasn't gonna help them on that part as he had said. She didn't think either Shotgun or her would need him though. "It's okay, Maurice. I believe Shotgun and I can pull it off" She declared as she glanced at her friend with a small grin. It faltered, however, when they reached something that appeared to be a dead end. "How odd"

"Took the wrong way perhaps?" Maurice suggested.

"No, no. This is not . . . supposed to be closed" Aaly's brows scrunched together.

"Well, if it is closed, it may be opened" Taking a step forward, Maurice brushed his fingertips against the 'wall' "Oh, I see" He commented to himself, taking out his small sphere. It didn't took him much to get it open but as soon as he did, he froze.

"Who are you?" Maurice took a step back, hands lightly raised at the guns the men behind the opened gate were pointing at them "Reply!" The one who had spoken, practically roared.

"It's me! God's sake. What the hell do you think you are doing, David?" Aaly took a step to the front cautiously.

"A-Aaly? What's with the hair?" David scowled. He, however, didn't lower the gun, nor did the others.

"More importantly. What's with this? Why was the gate closed? Lower those things, would you?" Placing her hands on top of her hips, she demanded.

David hesitated for a moment, but after a couple of silent minutes he glanced at the others behind him and, lowering his own gun, he nodded at them. They all did the same immediately after that.

"These damned royals are trying to find their way in. The tunnels are not safe anymore. But wouldn't you know about it? It's all your fault. You had to go and blow District 1 palace" He practically spat.

"Don't be ridiculous. Surely, you don't believe in King Julian's words. We didn't do a thing. Moreover, you know this was bound to happen one day, sooner or later" Aaly shot a glance at both Maurice and Shotgun for them to follow her before going pass the opened gates.

"Whatever. What brings you here? Shouldn't you'll be trying to keep it low for the time being?" The others stepped aside for David, Aaly, Shotgun and Maurice to go through.

"Small errands, you shouldn't ask" Aaly simply replied. Although, she was grateful that they had been let it, it was rather annoying that she had to have them following them.

"So you guys just going to follow us all the way to the end of this thing, or what?" Shotgun asked peeking behind him. It was bad enough that these guys pulled guns on them but now they were being followed? "I mean surly you guys have better things to do."

Shotgun faced forward once more. He really didn't want these guys trailing them. This mission was suppose to be hush hush. And on top of that these guys still blamed them for the bombing. If they found out that Xiii was going to a citizen of District 5 for help, he was sure they would have something to say about it. Shotgun suppressed a sigh, he really thought that this would be quick and simple.

Time's up. You got my chip?

Halo frowned at the message he had just received. Was it day three already? Where the hell did all the time go. Halo ran his fingers over the surface of the cell. How was he suppose to respond? He really did try to get them. Halo played with the thought of just ignoring his message when another thought popped in his head. Just who was this guy really. He knew about the raid, got in and out of Halo's building without a sound, and has seems to know a lot about Xiii. Crisis thought that he was a government spy but Halo wasn't so sure. But he did know one thing, he wanted to find out. No matter what.

Yeah I have the chip. But if you want them we meet at a new location. My place.

Send.

"We're just making sure you won't be causing any trouble" David replied sharply.

Sighing, Aaly glanced back at Shotgun "Just ignore them. We only came here to get some food, but if you lot want to follow us, be my guest. Seriously, bet you got nothing better to do"

David grumbled something under his breath that Aaly couldn't quite hear, nor did she want to.

They walked in silence, as Aaly just spoke when she needed to give an instruction. Go left, go right, this way things like that. Anyway, soon she found her way to the exiting point she had been looking for all along. That is, if Maurice's map was right, of course.

"So . . . You following us outside as well?" Aaly tilted her head to throw a glance from over her shoulder at David.

The man, who had been considering letting them be a couple of minutes before already, just gave a shrug "As long as you're out of our tunnels, I don't care what you do"

Aaly grinned "Aww, come on. I used to be welcomed here. Now what am I? An illness?"

David could just sigh "Just . . . Just don't get all of us involved in whatever you're planning to do"

"Yes, sir" Aaly commented far too seriously, but not less funny

"Aye, aye. Be careful" With that David and the others left. After following them with her sigh, Aaly finally let out a sigh in relief.

"Well shall we?" Turning on her heels, she turned towards the gate in front of them with a 83 written on it. Tracing some patterns on a blue screen on the side, the gate opened silently "Let's go"

"Finally, I really thought they would follow us forever," Shotgun muttered as her watched the screen. "Let's just hope the second part of this little adventure goes smoother," he added. But doubted it would.

Okay, so just how bad was the security in this place that this guy could just waltz on up to his apartment? That was the question on Halo's mind as he frowned at the grinning man standing in his hallway.

"So, you going to let me in?" Alabaster asked, already moving forward.

Halo stepped out of the way and opened the door wider. "How do you keep getting in here?" he asked.

"Everyone has a price," Alabaster answered looking over Halo's small living room. "Remember that," he added plopping down on the couch and crossing his feet on the coffee table.

"Move your feet," Halo said sitting on the chair across from Alabaster.

Alabaster raised his hands in defense. "My apologies mother," he said moving his feet back to the floor.

Halo rolled his eyes and ignored the statement.

"You know, I was really getting worried about you. I'm pleased you didn't let me down."

Halo trained to look relaxed. He really hoped his expression wasn't betraying him.

"So, let's get straight to business." Alabaster continued. "Where are my chips?"

"I'll get them, but first tell me why you want them?" Halo said trying to sound more in control of the situation then he was.

Alabaster leaned back in his chair. "There's this old saying about curiosity, and a cat. Do you know it?"

"What?"

"It's real old, no one really says it anymore. It goes curiosity killed the cat."

Halo tensed. "Are you threatening me?"

Alabaster sighed and put a hand to the bridge of his nose. "Man oh man you're an idiot. What is wrong with this generation?"

"We're from the same generation. How old are you?" The man really didn't look that much older then him.

Alabaster waived off the question. "We're digressing. Just hand over the chips and I'll be out of your hair."

"I'll get them. But first I want to know why you want them so badly. Are you a spy for the government--"

Alabaster snorted.

So that was a no.

"Are you trying to take down Xiii? Are you working with another rebel group? What's so important about those damn chips?"

There was a brief pause, and in those short seconds Halo felt very small under Alabaster's eyes. It was like he could see into his soul. Then Alabaster snapped his fingers and broke the spell.

"You don't have them!" he declared suddenly.

Halo was stunned. How the hell did he figure that out? Was he that transparent?

Alabaster face palmed. "I'm soooo disappointed in you," he said dragging out the o in so. "And how could I fall for the oldest trick in the book? What has my life become? I counted on you kid, I put my heart and soul into you and this is how I'm repaid? Halo, you were supposed to be the one I could count on?"

Halo crossed his arms over his chest and watched Alabaster's dramatic performance. This guy sure was something else. "Alright, alright, sorry I failed you," he finally said.

Alabaster broke character and grinned over at Halo. "No harm, I shouldn't have put all my eggs in one basket. you know that one right?"

Halo nodded.

Alabaster stood. "I like you kid, I really do. But you're not a go-getter. You really need to start going after what you want, 'cause this world isn't going to give it you you. Especially if you have a status like yours."

Halo stood as well. "Wait, are you leaving?"

"You have nothing I want or need. Why would I stay?"

"Well at least tell me whats on the chips before you go," Halo pleaded.

"Shouldn't have said that" Aaly grinned at Shotgun and stepped into the pitch black interior which was past the gate.

"You still believe on that?" Maurice smiled as he followed her inside.

"Hey, it truly happens. You taught me that" As soon as the gate closed as noiselessly as it had opened when the three of them had entered the place, there was no source of light anymore.

"Yeah, yeah. It'd be just as bad as saying It can't get any worse"

Brushing her fingertips against the walls blindly, she let out a pleased "Aha!" As soon as she found what she was looking for. The lights turned on, illuminating their faces "Or Nothing can possibly go wrong" She declared.

"Is this a . . ."

"A storeroom, yep. Hey that was the best they could think of. If I'm not wrong this is a . . . " Running her eyes over the place, she pressed her index finger against her mouth " . . . Store. There it is" With the same finger, she pointed at some shelves. "My bad. A library. It is a library. Well, let's get going"

She guided them through some shelves, going here and there, until she finally reached a big door. Unlike others, this had to be opened manually. Well it was a really old library after all. It had its quite modern things and its quite old things. From the time before the WWIII broke out. Pushing it with both of her hands, Aaly pushed open the heavy wooden door. Once they were out, she let it close again, the lights going out a second before the door actually closed. Tucking one of her black strands of hair behind her ear, she turned to both of them "From now on, we'll have to act 'normal ' "

"We still on the library?" Maurice asked, looking around.

"Yep. Just have to go out. Halo's place should be nearby" Aaly nodded as she started walking down the hallway. Looking back, you could see that the door was camouflaged with the wall.

"A library, huh? That was a good choice" In a Maurice's voice, there was a small hint of admiration.

"Why so?" She raised her brow and glanced back at him.

"Usually, this places don't have as much security cameras. It has a few, but not as much. They are old, call them idiots or old-fashioned but some things they like to keep them as less as 'futuristic' as they can. Either way, what would someone try to do on a library? Even more, if I'm not wrong, I'd say they chose that particular spot, because it leads to the archives. Not much people know about it, so it is not in need of a security camera. Places like that are not easily found"

"You sure know about that, don't you?" Aaly sounded a bit accusing, but she was actually impressed.

Maurice just flashed her a smile as he gave a light shrug. Soon the were exiting the big library. Aaly had never really taken the time to see it, but in retrospective it was such a pretty place. Old but modern, she liked it.

Shotgun glanced over the shelves of boos as the passed by the shelves. He was impressed. He really didn't think that there was anymore paper books left in the higher districts. Everything had been transferred to dot codes and put on tables a while ago. Shotgun ran his fingers over the binds of the books and at random, plucked one off of the shelf.

"You know the exact building?" Shotgun asked as ran the bind of the book over the metal strip on the desk when he was sure no one was looking. Ripping the barcode off the back of the book he slipped it into his bag. Shotgun smiled once he was outside. Too easy.

"By the way, how are we getting into his house?"

"That one" Both Aaly and Maurice announced as the first raised her hand to point at a nearby building.

"Right?" Tilting her head to the side, the rebel girl looked at Maurice.

The guy nodded before adding "I can get you inside if it is about security system. Now, if there are guards inside. I don't know how will both of you deal with it"

"Good enough. Let's just get inside, what we do there can't be that difficult"

(I am so sorry that it's taking me forever and a day to reply but I've just been super bust. A reply is coming soon, pinky promise!)

(Gosh, you understand me <3)

"You don't have to worry about us," Shotgun said making his way across the street and over to the building. "Just get us inside, we'll handle the rest."

Alabaster had decided to stay, and Halo was very pleased by that. But in exchange for information on the chips, Halo agreed to cook Alabaster a home cooked meal. Halo decided on a pasta dish, quick and simple. So while Halo drained the pasta, Alabaster sat at the table with his feet rested on the table top to keep himself from falling as he tipped back in his chair.

"What did I tell you about your feet and the furniture?" Halo tossed over his shoulder.

"Sorry dear, it wont happen again."

Halo heard the two front legs of the chair hit the ground as he tossed the hot pasta in the alfredo.

"Look, I'm almost done so start talking." Halo said.

"Man oh man, you're so impatient. But fine, a deal is a deal. How old are you kid?"

(Btw, I'm changing Halo's age).

"Seventeen," Halo answered as he stirred the pasta into the sauce.

"Hmm, not quite old enough. Anyway, about twenty years ago a new factory opened in District 8. It was in Neo Tokyo, owned by FlyBird."

Halo almost dropped his plate. "I know that place," he said, trying to keep his hands steady as he placed the pasta on the two plates. "My father worked there."

"Aww, he was there in the explosion."

"Yup."

"Sorry about that."

Halo made his way over to the table and placed the plate of food in front of Alabaster before sitting himself.

"Don't be, wasn't your fault."

An emotion washed over Alabaster's face. Empathy? Pity? Guilt? Halo couldn't tell, it passed too quickly.

"Well," Alabaster went on. "What they didn't tell the public was the reason for the explosion. You see, FlyBird was working on an idea that could provide cheap and clean energy to the world. So that even the poorer districts could afford light. They were these satellites that would orbit the Earth and absorb energy from the sun, and shoot it back down to us. Simple and clean."

"That doesn't sound bad," Halo said taking a bite of food.

"Ah but let me finish. You see, the late and great King Julian figured out a new use for the satellites. They could be used as weapons, real powerful ones. So, with the help of Districts 5, 9 and 6, the project was shut down and they clean house."

"Clean house, what does that mean?"

"It means, the explosion wasn't a accident."

Halo stopped eating. He felt like he couldn't breath. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"What do you mean, it wasn't an accident?"

"Loose ends needed to be tied. No one who knew about the original project could be left alive. And that included the FlyBird prez himself. Now you have his devilish little girl in control of the company."

"Noelle?!" Halo didn't know what was worse, what he was hearing, or that he believed it.

"That's the one," Alabaster confirmed. "But I'm not even at the best part yet kid. I got word that the new king of District 1 has ordered to move the finished satellites from the factory in District 8 back to District 1. My guess is that they are complete and ready to be put into the sky."

"So, what's on the chips?"

"Information kid, I'm planning on shutting them down before the reach their destination."

"Couldn't they just make another?"

"Weapons like this aren't easy to come by, it would take a while. Trust and believe kid, you do not want these weapons in the sky."

"Why are you telling me all this?"

Alabaster smiled. "You remind me of this other kid, fiance to my cousin. Naive, a bit easy to manipulate, but has potential, and I know you'll do the right thing in the end."

"I'll ignore that first part."

Alabaster shrugged. "Now you know why I desperately need those chips," he said finally taking a bite of he food. "Hey, not bad kid."

(Well college is simply . . . Tiring u.u)

Maurice glanced at both of them before shrugging "Okay then"

The young boy was right. It wasn't difficult at all. He got into the system as quickly as he had expected and before them three the doors opened for them to step inside. To Aaly's own surprise, Maurice did help them not only to get into the building but also to go past the guards in the most natural and nonchalant way possible. He greeted the single guard on the entrance by name and the man, though clearly confused at first, greeted him back and let him and his companions through.

Aaly could feel the older man's eyes on their backs as they reached the elevator and though she was quiet, there was a hint of panic on her face when she realized the elevator had this little scanner which was used for the PIC. Maurice took care of that wonderfully as well. He leaned in a bit and as soon as his eye was scanned the doors opened with a ding, allowing them to get inside. With that calm and composed demeanor of his, he turned on his heels to bid farewell to the guard, who as politely as Aaly guessed he was required to did the same.

Frankly, she was impressed.

"How in the world . . . ?" She started, but Maurice gestured for her to shut up, which she obeyed immediately.

"You'd be surprised at just how many people they see everyday" He said in a low voice.

"Oh" And then it was clear. Of course, it just took to act natural for them not to be suspicious. Then she pretty much guessed that even though the guard had at least realized Maurice was not a familiar face, he had gotten past both the doors and the elevator supposedly using his PIC. Surely, that was prove enough that you did live there.

(Sorry if that wasn't quite good :/ I didn't really know a better way to get them in without the need of a fight)

(No, I liked it. I wasn't really sure how the fight scene would play out anyways :P )

"Okay I'll admit it, I'm impressed. I don't think I would have though of that myself," shotgun said as he scanned the door numbers looking for the right one. He was beginning to open up to the idea of Maurice on their team. "Ah, let the real fun begin." Shotgun reached up and knocked on the door in front of him.

Halo and Alabaster both went quiet at the same time. They glanced at each other, and then at the front door.

"Expecting someone?" Alabaster asked.

Halo shook his head as he got to his feet. The gears started turning in his head. His first thought was that it was Crisis and she was in trouble, who else would be coming unannounced at this time? (it is night time right?) Halo pushed the camera button on his intercom and frowned. Someone was covering the camera outside his door.

"What the...?" Halo said as he turned his door knob and opened the door. But before he could fully open the door, someone shoved it open nearly knocking him off his feet.

"Well if it isn't my favorite person," Shotgun grinned as he stepped into Halo's apartment. In his hand he held a syringe. The plan was to knock Halo unconscious and take him to a abandoned location. That way Halo would have no choice but to listen, and they would have the upper hand.

"This will only hurt for a second," Shotgun said about to plunge the needle into Halo's arm. But before he could, the young rebel was caught by someone, and spun around by the shoulder. Before he knew what was happening, Shotgun felt a sharp pain in the side of his neck. The room started to spin and Shotgun could barely make out the hazy face of a man he didn't know. Then everything went black.

"Whoo Wee!" Alabaster said as Shoutgun's limp body his the ground. "This is quite the night. A home cooked mean and a rebel attack in the same night? Who would have guessed?"

"What a surprise! He's not as good as he says" Maurice commented, almost mockingly and sort of sarcastically. Clearly, it was not like he held him in high regard himself.

Aaly's brows knitted together and she had to take her gaze off Shotgun, rather reluctantly, to look at the one guy she didn't recognize. "It's not like that" She declared, clicking her tongue "He was careless" And so were we She added mentally before sighing "Clearly, this won't be easy" That guy had knocked out Shotgun so easily that she didn't quite know if she'd be able to defeat him.

"Have we seen him?" Maurice didn't know why… But he gave him the feeling of having seen him somewhere else, but it wasn't easy to place him.

"I certainly haven't" Aaly shrugged.

(Sorry I took so long! :c Have been so busy lately D:)

(It's completely cool, you're talking to someone whop understands :) )

Alabaster first took in Maurice, and then Ally. The two were all grown up but there was no mistaking it, these were the little ones that were once best friends to the prince. How time has passed and things changed. He would never have guessed that both kids would switch sides, especially not Ally who adored Jonathan. Alabaster wondered if he would be recognized. He was rarely around these two. Even when Obsidian came into the picture, Alabaster didn't spend time around them, so he wasn't scared of being found out.

"What the hell do you think you're doing here?" Halo snapped bringing Alabaster from his thoughts.

"Clearly there here to bring you in, the real question is why." Alabaster said taking the legs of the unconscious rebel. "Help me move him to the couch will ya?"

Halo looked as if he would protest, but them thought better of it. He hooked his arms around Shotgun's shoulders and the two men lifted the body over to the couch.

"Reckless," Alabaster commented as he looked over Shotgun's sleeping body. "I didn't think I would be able to single-handedly be able to stop an attack by the infamous rebel group Xiii," He grinned and turned his attention to the other two rebels. "But then what would you expect when your leader sends children out to do a job." Clearly he was boasting now. "Well, now that your mission has failed you might aw well stay and humor me. I'd like an answer to my question, what business do you have with Halo? And after you answer that, I would like to discuses those chips that you stole from the ball."

(Right ^^ Dear God, things can get quite hectic sometimes, don't you think? :>)

"So you told him about the chips after your girlfriend told you?" Aaly's brows furrowed as her gaze fell on Halo. Brilliant! How many people knew about it by now?

Maurice glanced at both of them before crossing his arms across his chest "No… No it doesn't seem like that. Clearly, he's the 'leader' here, the other one doesn't seem as…" Looking up at down at Halo, a mocking smile crept over the young man's lips "Well let's just leave it at that"

Rolling her eyes, she turned her head a bit to look at him so as not to lose sight of the other two guys "That meaning?"

"Most likely, he was the one to tell the… asian guy here about the chips. Wouldn't think the parents of the Rennels girl would tell her about the chips if they've already found out" Maurice explained with a matter-of-fact tone of voice.

"Well aren't you clever?" Aaly shook her head "Anyway…" Shrugging, she made her way over to the couch where Shotgun had been laid on before turning her head again to look directly at the unknown guy, her hand resting on top of her unconscious friend's shoulder "Our mission has not 'failed', there's just someone in the way and that can be arranged" As soon as those words left her mouth, one of her hands slipped into Shotgun's jacket while she stuffed the other one into her pocket before she pulled out a gun from each of them "Not the most 'advanced' one we could've bring but what can we do about it?" She raised both of them so that each of them were pointing at Halo and the other guy "They still serve their purpose, don't they?"

(Yes! Especially when we're so close to finals!!!)

"How the hell do I keep getting myself into these situation?" Halo said shaking his head in disbelief. "You aren't seriously thinking you can just shoot us and get away with it?"

"Don't worry about it kid, she's smarter then that. Besides, we could help each other out. We are on the same side ya know? Well at least for now." Alabaster spoke to Ally, but his eyes were on Maurice. Clever was right. Alabaster didn't expect to hear that from the shy little boy that once clung to Jonathan's every word. He made a mental note to keep an eye on Maurice before shifting his gaze to Ally.

"You see, we both want the same thing," he continued. "To see the downfall of the monarchy. We may happen to go about it in different ways, but our end goal is alike. So, you help me out, and I'll help you."

(Totally! I've just finished them yesterday! Good luck with yours ^^)

Maurice returned his stare without blinking, his body lazily resting against the wall. No, he wouldn't be able to recognize him, perhaps not now to say the least. That was interesting though, who was this guy?

"Do we know? How can we know for sure, hmm?" Aaly didn't lower her guns, but she knew this guy was not completely mistaken, she was smarter than that, but if forced to… Well they only needed Halo, did they not? Would have never thought like that before, but sadly she was beginning to realize sacrifices needed to be done; Tydus was dead… and Aaly had to be as committed to this as ever. Her hand would not shake, nor she'd hesitate to shoot him.

(Thanks so muck, hopefully we can get a good grade on them :) )

Alabaster shrugged. "Now why would I lie to a pretty face like yours? Of course we want the same thing." Alabaster wondered if she really would shoot as he took a step forward. "You guys must be getting pretty desperate if you're looking to a District 5 citizen for help, and here I am offering you my hand. All I ask for is the chips."

"Why is these chips so important? I seriously want to know now." Halo asked, slightly annoyed now.

"Do you two even know what is on the chips?" Alabaster asked, again ignoring Halo. "Or how to use them? I feel as though they are waisting away in your possession," Alabaster took another step forward. "Do you know what is happening in District 8 as we speak? Or what Lux is planning? Trust me, you want me as a friend."

(I'm sure we will Minus, I'm sure c:)

Aaly narrowed her eyes when he took the first step and almost immediately she raised her index finger and wrapped it against the trigger as if warning him. "Stop it, I warn you" Aaly reminded him when he took yet another step forward. He knew too much and she knew Trent or Nate wouldn't have been as forgiving and would have shot without bating an eye as soon as he talked about the chips."We know what's happening in District 8, don't think yourself as clever" She replied sharply.

If you decided to trust him Trent wouldn't let it slip, he'd certainly punish her properly this time and yet... yet there was something telling her it was better to hear him out and believe her, she did hate that side of her. Stupid hunch She thought to herself "Not only you know too much but what a way of showing us you'll be willing to help by knocking out my friend here" Bending her finger a bit on the trigger, she kept her gun pointed at him "Very well then, what exactly are you proposing?"

Alabaster smiled, all he needed was an openning. "If you didnt know yet, let me fill you in. As we waste time here talking, the Rennels have made their way to District 8 and are getting ready to bring Hel back here. You do know what Hel is right? It's bad, really bad, and you don't want it in the hands of Lux. If you think he's powerful now, you don't want to see him with his very own god in the sky. I could stop that, or at the very least prolong it till I figure out what my next move will be. But I need those chips if I'm going to anything."

Aaly did listen to him and she did consider what he meant with those words for a moment. She breathed in a few seconds later and glanced back at Maurice before letting out the sucked in air in a long sigh. “Bad news for you then” She finally replied as she slowly lowered the guns to her sides “Because I’m not the one who has those chips” That being said, she returned her gaze back to him once again. She really didn’t, she had handed them over to Trent ages ago and she didn’t think he’d either give them to that strange boy or that she’d be capable of retrieving them from him.

Stuffing one of the guns into the pocket she had previously taken it from, she used her free hand to run a hand over her temporary curly jet-black hair “It seems I can’t help you, mate” Even if there was that hunch, she was really unable to come up with a way of giving him access to those chips.

"Hmm, that would make more sense, Alabaster said. Silly of me to think otherwise. But I do believe that we can still help each other out. You want pretty boy over here, and I'm looking to save the world. So how about you and your two friends over here take me to your leader and I ask him personally for those chips. And if he's kind enough to say yes, Halo here will happily accompany you to where ever he is needed. " The last thing Alabaster wanted was to meet with the leader of Xiii in person, but he was running out of options. Besides, in his line of work, he was bound to run into Trent sooner or later.

"First of all," Halo started. In the past month alone he had seen and heard things that he was sure were not for his ears and eyes. To make matters worst, all those events raised more questions then answers. In fact, they didn't give him any answers. Halo was determined to get answers from these people. "I am not your bargaining chip," he finished aiming a glare at Alabaster.

"I thought no such thing!" Alabaster's face fell in mock hurt. "I simply wanted to tag along to make sure you were not mistreated."

"Yeah right," Halo said not buying it. "Anyway, what exactly is happening in District 8? And what is Hell? Are you telling me that The District 1 King is planning on opening a door to the underworld?"

"Hel like the goddess, not Hell the place," Alabaster corrected.

"I don't get the difference."

"Really? What are they teaching you thin school these days?"

"Anyway," Halo said getting back on topic, "Why do you need me, I'm not a rebel and I don't want to be seen as one. And what does Crisis' parents have to do with this whole situation?"

(Merry late Christmas btw, (or the holiday you celebrate) and happy new years!!!)

This isn't helping much. Aaly thought to herself as she gazed at the two guys who were gradually wasting her patience. And once again she was left with a decision to make, all on her own, because Maurice didn't seem interested enough in sharing his opinion and her other friend there had been knocked out so easily that she swore she'd make him pay for it later for being so stupidly reckless.

"Look, why don't you ask your girlfriend yourself?" She almost snarled in a sort of exasperate manner. That's why she wanted to bring him unconscious to begin with; questions from someone who didn't know a thing at all really did annoy her.

"Well . . . Why don't we cooperate? Aren't we wasting time right now?"

Aaly shot Maurice a glare from over her shoulder before it dissolved into a weary expression "And how exactly are you getting your boy here to cooperate with us to begin with?" Her gaze fell on the stranger there, because she really did wonder how would he get Halo to help them if they were not to knock him out and bring them with them to District 2.

(Likewise! ^^)
