i mean i learned how to play the drums, literally on buckets and old metal trashcans, with literal sticks as drum sticks. though yeah finding a piano analog would be hard.
maybe try some public library or community center, at least were I live some of them have pianos for the public, though they might not be grand pianos but the far more compact one, acoustic pianos, that's the name.

and I learned how to play the bass after finding a broken up and gutted bass in an abandoned building I was going to, to make practice grafitti. still have that gutted bass guitar with me. though I had to change the strings.

There's unfortunately not that many places like that around here, on both acocunts (public spaces w/ instruments, or abandoned buildings to rummage safely.)
I did once try to get the uni I was attending at the time to get a music room and hold classes, but they said I'd need a ton of signatures for them to consider it, and it never got any traction when I tried it. Oh well, someday!

Sorry about my absence. I’ve been hyperfocused on endgame Veilguard gameplay. It has me in a chokehold.

I love Dragon Age but I heard that one's catching mad hate.

Same! I grew up with Dragon Age. I love Veilguard! It's so good!

A lot of the hate is from bigots complaining about the trans and nonbinary representation in the game. (Your Rook can be trans/or nonbinary. One of the romance options is nonbinary too.)

(They like to complain as if they're being forced to choose the queer option when they don't have to. It's a CHOICE for a reason. )

If there's other hate, I haven't seen it yet. I tend to scroll when I see a person complain about the game. I don't have the energy to listen to their rants.

From a storyteller perspective, I like it. I'm biased so I can't provide a thorough analysis. The combat mechanics is good. It's been awhile since I played the older games so I can't compare them from the top of my head.

I remember Dragon Age as one of the first games to make mages look royally bad ass. Their staff motions being similar to bo staff/pole arm motions. Rather than "Woe! Spell be upon ye, knave!" I wish more games made combat magic that way.

My Rook is currently a mage so I agree! I love playing mage.

Good, as one should be. You just take it easy and get plenty of rest. Colds are annoying little buggers but they usually pass pretty quickly.

nah i breezed through covid thrice since it started and all three times I had nothing worse than a small loss in appetite and a soar throat...
if not for the tests I had to do every time I went to visit my gramps at the hospital I would not know I had covid those 3 times....
of course I was turned away at the door after testing positive for covid, so gramps couldn't be infected by me, which was sad cause no gramps visit but still.
