Fantasy Of A Feather (1x1 18+) Rayvin and Saffron_Majesty)

"Heh, you'd like my place. Maybe we can stop by there for lunch on one of our trips around the city I have planned." Silas said looking encouraged. "After a couple weeks I'd like to get you outdoors and climatize you to the city." Silas said. "Its your turn."

She wondered if he was allowed to do that.. “what’s your-“ she dragged that last worms out some more. “Favorite food?”

"I love food. If there wasn't meat I'd be a very unhappy lupine. Hmmmm." Silas had do think for a while. "I would have to go with fillet. Its a kind of steak. I'm a wolf, what can I say." Silas said smiling. "What about you whats your favorite food? Other than figs." Silas said with giggle.

“Um, fruit.” She said. She wasn’t quite sure if she had favorites other than figs. Out in Montana there were a lot of farms and orchards so a lot of what was available was from the markets.

Silas laughed. "Alright next question. Hmmmm." Silas said stroking his stubble that was beginning to take the shape of a thick beard. "Have you ever listened to music?" Silas asked speculatively.

Ophelia nodded and thought back on some
Of the music she listened to when she was younger. There was a little country and some orchestral thrown in but other than that she didn’t listen to it a whole lot.

"I'll take that as a yes, but not much. I'll introduce you to some music tomorrow then." Silas said with a smile. "I'm just trying to help you a little bit to give you some things to focus on. Your turn." Silas said.

The harpy tried to think of something to ask but her mind started to run blank. The longer the silence went on the more flustered she got. “Uh-um.. do you have family?”

Silas's eyes glanced at the ground for a moment, his emotional barrier dropping ever so slightly. "No. Much like you I was left without one." Silas said, his right hand fidgeting with the zipper on his jacket.

“Oh... I’m sorry.. then- uh-“ she tried to think of another question but she was already blank! “What about.. friends!”

Silas looked up again putting on a smile. "My teammates are my friends. They're my pack." Silas said, chuckling at the use of wolf terminology. "Aside from this exercise for a moment." Silas said with a sigh. "Have you ever rubbed a bruise to make it heal faster?" Silas asked rhetorically.

The expression on her face turned confused. With her brows furrowing she slowly shook her head. That wasn’t true, was it? She looked to a few of her own bruises that were on her arms in curiosity.

Silas smiled at Ophelia's confusion. "When you rub a bruise, you break the disconnected blood vessels allowing them to reconnect with each other. It makes the process faster. Anyway what I'm trying to say is, talking about your experiences will make them less painful." Silas said allowing Ophelia a moment to think.

She looked up to him and seemed even more confused. Why would disconnecting vessels... heal? She would never argue about it however. However when it came to talking about things about her past, it wasn’t about opening up... there just wasn’t a whole lot. Except for her kidnapping.. she shook her head in response to her own thoughts and started clicking a button on her fidget cube.

Silas listened to Ophelia use the fidget cube he had given to her for a moment. "I know it will be one of the most difficult things for you to talk about, your kidnapping. But, we have to discuss it before we can move on. So we don't have to talk now but tell me you understand the need for us to talk." Silas said gently.

There was no response from her this time.

She didn’t want to talk about it.. she wanted to forget. As if it never happened. There was no answer for Silas this time. Simply more clicks from the fidget cube.

Silas heard the cube and nodded silently to himself. "I'll ask again every day. Just that action alone removes some of the burden because I know what you went through. Much more than just any other person." Silas said sympathetically, putting his hand on the side of the bed.

“....” Ophelia’s eyes shut tight as she turned her head away. There was a shudder as she then squeezed the cube. “I..don’t want to..” she said quietly.

Her eyes took their time looking up. She was clearly becoming distressed about the idea of even talking about it.. “I.. I have to go to the bathroom..”

"You can go to the bathroom, but look me in the eyes first. It's okay, I know it's hard. Just look at my eyes." Silas said softly and willfully.

She couldn’t find the nerve to do it now. “I-I really have to go...” she was frowning now and her wings started to curl up.

"Then when you get back. Maybe you need a break." Silas conceded. He stood from his chair and walked to the hallway where he called a nurse. Amelia entered the recovery room and approached the side of the bed. "You need to use the restroom?" She inquired. Silas paced back and sat in his chair, grabbing his clipboard.

She nodded and Amelia carefully helped her out of the bed. She went around to the side of the bed with the IV drip and hung and wheeled the hanger with them. There was a bathroom in her room so she didn’t have to go far.

She felt very stiff and sore still. Amelia kept a hand at her back. They would be in the bathroom for several minutes while Silas waited.

Silas sat quietly writing notes about his interaction with Ophelia. While he was writing he began to hum "Cannon in D" to himself. His elongated vocal chords as a result of his base biology being a wolf with the ability to howl allowed him to hit all of the notes completely, forming a consistent melody.
