Fandom Odyssey of Power

Thanks, Kyero. Glad you like them.

That's not good at all. I hope you get better soon. We will hold the fort down in the meantime.

So, I have a question. Something Hink wrote spurned me to ask it. It's something I've been wondering about for a while.

Would we be able to topple a King and take control of a planet if our character's power levels were sufficient enough to do so?

I apologize for the short notice, but I might have difficulty posting in the next two days and Wednesday of next week due to AP tests.

I thought I could manage some rping around my cramming studying. That doesn't seem to be the case, however, and Monday/Tuesday of this week proved it to me. I'll do my best to catch up and post on the weekend, but I may not manage to be on during the next few weekdays.

It's cool, Trig. Real life trumps fantasy life. Hope you ace all your tests. The RP will be here when you get done.

Indeed.

I have Finals next week (THANK GOODNESS IT'S ALMOST OVER!!) and then I'm off to enjoy my summer! Still, this weekend and next week my posting as well will falter slightly. I'll post when and if I can, but I make no promises until after next week is done.

Till then guys, keep posting when and where able and I'll try my best to keep up in between study sessions and internship hour grinds.

I miss college days sometimes. The endless cramming. The stress of long nights and no sleep. The endless supply of red bulls I drank coupled with several pots of coffee. *sigh*

So, what're you majoring in, Kyero?

Music with a focus on Recording Arts. I've got one semester left for my BA (if all goes well of course, and presuming that I can test out of two classes this upcoming summer before the semester starts. They're really easy so I should do fine on that, I hope).

College sounds nice. I took an apprenticeship in the trades. Lots of blood and electrocutions. And coffee.

I've been lucky to avoid electrocutions, though I have had a few things fall on my head and smash my fingers during live sound, lighting, and video setup.

I don't imagine that would feel too pretty. AV stuff is heavier than it looks.

Electricity hurts. I would get shocked a lot less if the building I am working In wasn't such a labyrinth of circuitry. Breakers don't always shut off what we attend. Leaving us in The precarious situation of splicing live wires. Fun fun.

What sort of career are you trying to get into?

Anything I can manage.

If it involves Recording Arts:

* Studio Assistant, Assistant Engineer (hopefully becoming a full fledged Studio Engineer myself in a couple years), maybe eventually a music Producer

If it's writing:

* Screenwriter, novelist (both short stories and full novels)

If it's music in general:

* Film/TV composer/screenwriter, voice over actor, score writing, music teacher

If it's martial arts:

* Start my own studio at some point and teach for a living

Anything I can. I have a decently wide range of talents, most of which involve music or recording arts in some fashion to draw upon so I have options open. I might double up if I find the time and energy to do so as I have screenwriting software, music writing/recording/editing software, and more.

Very impressive. Makes me want to try for college.

I just can't justify going into debt over student loans.

I was lucky/smart. I went to community college for my AA in Music and then transferred to CSU for my BA. My current debt is around $10,000, and I have one semester left. I expect around $15,000 or less when I'm done which isn't bad for college debt.

Hard to tell the to apart sometimes.

Currently I am maybe around 1k in debt. I can manage it easily. However with a wife and kids and house, if I were to rack up 15k, paying that off every month would leave me with little to nothing left after the rest of my bills.

If I was single it wouldn't be as much of a hassle.

Yeah, I'm not single, but I also have two supportive parents who will be helping me along the way (not much, but enough to take a bit of the wight off my shoulders). I'm lucky that way.

I plan on finding work as soon as possible to begin working off my debt however I can. I'd like to keep the bulk of the payments on my end.

Anyway, I'm interested in seeing how everyone reacts to Korvaiis' displays and desire to give us a brutal workout.

You are very lucky. Keep up the success! I'll be rooting for you there.

Lol just watch that debt. It can be a bitch. And get out of hand real fast if you let it.

I will post tonight if able.

Lol fae will be fuming. Good thing he didn't give her chance to respond. She will be pretty gung ho about the training. 'I'll show you!' Kind of thing.

I don't plan on letting it go anywhere.

So she missed the part where he said that all of them have worth beyond what the paperwork said?

She didn't miss it. Fae is just volatile like that. She doesn't like being reminded of those facts, for one, which for now is all she is aware he knows of her. She doesn't seem to approve of the retraining. She doesn't know or understand his aims yet. She is pretty hard headed, and doesn't fall in lovr as easily as Era with handsome and sexy sounding men, lol.

Ah, I see. Well he will earn her respect soon enough. I promise. He might have reminded her of nasty memories she'd rather forget this time, but his treatment of her and his training methods will win him her respect before long. She might never fall in love with the guy, but that's not what he's after so it's all good.

We'll see. She's got the Faerari family stubbornness at least. I have no doubt you have something up your sleeve. You always do. So perhaps Fae will have a change of after all.

Lol and I was teasing about the love. She isn't the most loveable of types. Too tsundere. Respect on the other hand is a different matter.

But as always, we shall have to see how things play out. I generally choose my characters actions based on what they would or would not do. And this always leads to fun and surprising consequences. I love when my own characters surprise me.

Lol Fae gonna be pissed, now.

Given the fact that if they do lower their power levels to five, would a scouter still be able to pick them up at such a low level?

Nope. Local wildlife has energies about that high. Only a specially designed medical Scouter made for reading the power levels of infants could locate them. The rest are calibrated to levels no lower then 50 or so.

This training really is designed for all three of them, but Fae inspired the idea. Korvaiis knows about her family issues, and denying her access to the power she earned during the Raid and reducing her to this state is his way of making her come to terms with being weak, be it by choice or otherwise.

Lol fair enough. I'm looking forward to see how it plays out. And if it korvaiis gets the desired affect he is after. An interesting turn of events.

As for the scouters, wouldn't that be pretty equivalent to hiding their power level as per what Era is trying to do?
