Not Everything Is Perfect...(Val & Coedy)

Avery smiled a little. "I don't really have a choice." She said. "My dad gets crazy scary when he's mad." She added. Though she knew he'd probably be mad when she got home so late.

"Then I'm going inside with you." Sam told her as he set her in the passenger seat, and walked to the driver's seat. He buckled up, and looked at her sweetly.

Avery didn't hide her surprise at what he said. She buckled and looked at him. "You can't." She said quietly. "He'd be beyond mad if he realized that I was spending all my time with you." She looked serious. "And trust me, he'd know if you came again. Besides, what if he told someone at the school, you could get fired."

Sam looked at her as he backed out of the driveway, "Well, I'm sorry Avery, but I'm going in the house with you, and I I get fired, I get a new job. I don want this to get between us." He told her sternly. He wasn't going to give up with this; she wasn't going to be yelled at by her father.

Avery reached out and touched her shoulder. "You don't want to mess with a guy who could kill you with his bare hands." She said. "Please. It won't get between us." She told him. "I promise nothing will."

"Babe..." Sam whined, and looked over at her, he kissed her cheek, and drove through the street. He didn't want leave her, but she told him that she would be fine an He would believe her.

Avery placed her hand gently on his cheek after he kissed her. "I'll be fine." She told him. "I promise." She added. "The most he's gonna do is yell at me. He's never been the 'grounding' type."

"Well... Babe, I'll see you later." He told her as he pulled up to her street, and unlocked the door an kissed her lovingly. "Stay safe." He told her with a warm and small smile.

Avery smiled and kissed him back and then buckled. "I'll see you tomorrow." She said, opening her door. She got out and then walked up the steps and closed the door behind her.

Sam watched he walk, wishing that she was still wrapped up and in his arms. He rubbed his forehead, still watching her walk.

When she got inside, her dad was right there. "Where were you?" He asked, his voice clearly angry. "Who dropped you off?" He wasn't going to let this go.

"I was just with a friend." Avery said. "Her dad dropped me off. We just lost track of time."

Sam drove away, still smelling Avery. He loved her scent. He pulled down to his street, not wanting to be alone.

He didn't believe it. "Who were you with really?" He asked, getting close to Avery. She ended up being cornered. Something was off. He was never like this. When he got close, she could smell something on his breath. Beer. He was drunk, making it worse.

Sam was half way to his bed when he saw her phone on his floor. He picked it up, and ran to his car. He sped down the street, making it to Avery's and ran to the door. He knocked, hoping that she was alright.

When there was a knock on the door, Avery's dad moved away from her. He walked to the door. Anyone who didn't know him wouldn't be able to tell he was drunk. She was scared. He'd only ever gotten drunk once and that hadn't been good. When he opened the door and saw Sam there, he glared a little. "What do you want?" He asked.

Sam looked at Avery's dad, her phone, and into her home. "I'm Sam.... Your daughter and I go to the same school. And I'm coming in." He declared, pushing his way into the doorway.

Avery heard Sam and panicked. Of all nights, why did he have to come back tonight? She walked over to them and saw her phone. That was why. "Sam." She said nervously. "Um, thanks for my phone." She added quickly, taking it. "But I think you should leave now." She said.

"I know you." Her dad said, pointing at him. "You told me you were her teacher once."

Sam looked at her, and at her dad. "Yes, I am her teacher." He told her dad, and then back to Avery. "Stop Avery, you're not going to be yelled at." He told her as he began to take her hand. "And.." He mumbled as he thought aloud.

Avery panicked. "You've been spending all your time with your teacher?" Her father asked, getting slightly angrier.

"Sam, please." She begged, holding his hand tightly. "Just go. I can handle this." She told him, though now she wasn't so sure. "Please."

Sam looked at her, and then shook his head. "No, I'm not going to let you go." He told her as he. took a deep breath. "Sir, please don't get mad.. but.." He couldn't find the words to say, but he squeezed he hands tighter.

Avery tried to push him out the door. "You don't understand." She whispered. "Please just--"

"Are you involved with my daughter?" There it was. Avery panicked more. "'Cause if you are, I'll kill you."

"Dad, please." Avery said, turning to him, but he was drunk. Nothing was going to get him to back off.

Sam looked at her, and at her dad. "Sir.." He said and looked at Avery. "I'll see you at school." He said before he turned to leave, and looked at him. He walked to the door, and looked back at her.

Avery watched him go and shut the door behind him. He was out of the crossfire now. That was all she wanted. Her dad was still angry. "You're seeing your teacher?" He asked. "That's where you've been the past few days?"

"Dad, please!" She begged. "It's not what you think."

Sam stood by the door, listening, he took out his phone and felt his heart fall out and onto the doorstep. How could he do this? He thought of his next move, wondering if he should go in. Then suddenly he was inside. Standing in between her father and her.

Avery blinked a little when he was in the room again. Her dad didn't seem fazed, just pissed. "Are you trying to seduce my daughter?" He asked, getting in Sam's face.

"Dad!" Avery had to stop this.
