Fantasy No Mortals (Accepting new characters!)

"Immortal games?" Nova perked up, listening now to the older looking man. "I was just following my friend Husky here," she stated, pointing to Vincent. "What's an immortal game?" she asked, curious. At the odd one's question, she smiled. "I'm fire. And Husky's powers aren't mine to disclose," she stated simply, returning the favor of him not disclosing her name. "What are your names, and powers?"

"we're nearing our destination.. wait" Acantha looked closer, there was another ping? she frowned, more scouts? a rouge ship? the signal is definitely Grand Fleet. "there seems to be another ship going to where our new friend is at." If they are scouts i might be able to convince them to leave this one alone. suddenly her spine shivered, it was a familar shiver. "please dont let it be him" she mumbled to herself tiredly.

"The immortal games are a tournament of sorts. Sometimes it's an area other times it's games of skill. Though most of the times it's immortals trying to defeat one another to prove their strength. As for me, I am called Nanautzin, I am the master of the world and I have control of disease and pestilence." Nanautzin explained as he waited for the ship to be ready. He'd rather enjoy riding in something that wasn't his own creation. He figured it would be fun. Nanautzin himself had not yet participated in the games though he had kept up with it over his long time as an immortal.

Esther spared a glance back to her superior, listening to the pings on the radar. She returned her eyes to seemingly empty space. Augmenting her own eyes, she widened the spectrum of wavelengths she could see in. They were a ways off still: the ship wasn't visible, even to her enhancements. Not liking to keep her eyes like this for long periods, she shifted them back to normal, heaving a heavy sigh. Hopefully they wouldn't have to harm anyone too badly.

Seeing as how she didn't give her own name, neither would he. "I'm known as the Laughing Man, and I, heh, control flesh. Itov, come out here please." There was a small amount of muttering before something that appeared humanoid with fleshy wings stepped out of a tubular ship. "I can do things like that." He giggled and waved Itov back into the ship. "The Immortal Games are somewhat like cage matches for immortals. Big tournament. Mortals and Immortal alike gather and battle or watch. Very fun for some." Itov made an annoyed grunt, gesturing at Loex. "I believe the ship is ready."

Upon entering a new region of space, Otrov quickly slowed down the pace of ship, paying attention to the lights in the distance. "Is this region.. off-charts? Do any of you know this area?" He shook his head, looking back and forth from the map to the strange red star formations in the distance. It's true, this was an unmapped star system. "Planets, a bunch of them." he squeezed the bridge of his nose and took a moment to think. "If they've discovered an unmapped region, why exactly haven't they reported back? Well, I suppose we should bring them back, and not let them mess things up further. Agreed?" @Noivian @Ryu Kenshin @Firebright

Nova nodded, taking all this in. "Oh, right. My name's N- Pyre," she caught herself before speaking her real name, remembering what Husky told her. "Immortal games sounds really fun. Can I participate, too?" she asked, already knowing the answer was going to be yes. She looked around the group and wondered who else would be participating, and who she might have to fight.

@SleepyBuddha @Splat @Loex Ibetink @Seraph Darkfire

Esther nodded. "Agreed. How do you plan on going about bringing them in, Captain?" she asked, continuing the conversation. Now she could see them. Perhaps she was just looking in the wrong direction? Esther had an unfortunate habit of doing things wrong when not in combat or not following directions. All the more reason to listen to her superiors, she scolded herself.

Otrov nodded to Esther. "Perhaps we'll split into two groups, one will intercept the active ship, using mine, and the other will locate the lost ship on foot, dropping them off when we reach the nearest planet. Upon retrieval of the rogue unit, all parties will group at the location of the lost ship, at which point, we will decide the best method of returning to the Fleet to deliver our reports, depending on whether the lost ship retains the ability to fly." He spoke slowly and calmly, making sure his team understood the instructions, before increasing the speed of his ship once again, approaching the planet where the ping was detected. Halting the ship, he turned to face his team. "Do we have volunteers to scout this planet? I will maintain control of this ship, and intercept our allies."

Cat was about to ask yet another question about the grand fleet, their current destination, before her equally white-haired friend mentioned a ping and appeared to be shivering despite the inside of the ship being fairly warm, not a good sign. "Who's 'him'?" She asked after overhearing her say something. She wasn't feeling those strange auras anymore and was assuming she only felt it earlier because of the amount of immortals in her vicinity at the time

The comet slowly arrived at it it's destination, the planet with multiple immortals all clustered in it. While this was happening Astarot the being half-conscious in the middle of it's core started to fully awaken. His senses slowly returning while the planet grew closer in the distance. It wasn't until the planet was completely visible that Astarot was fully conscious "Where-where am I going?" while he was the one who decided to steer the planet this way, his brain hadn't been fully aware of what it was doing. "I sense a large amount of Immortals and a planet with a thriving ecosystem." Astarot smiled as his interest was piqued, his eyes twinkled with excitement and wonder, his thoughts filled with possibilities. "Let's go."

"an old friend of mine we had a few problems in the past but i don't like ghosts of the past" Acantha chuckled to Cat as she explained.

Nanautzin smiled and nodded, " of course you can child. Since the ship is ready let's depart. We'll tell you all about it on the way." Nanautzin's smile didn't even twitch when he sensed a very overwhelming power near his planet. He didn't know the owner of this power and given his age this came as a surprise. They weren't a newborn by any stretch of the imagination, but he didn't know them. Did he come from the same place Acantha? Nanautzin just hoped the others didn't sense it just yet. He wanted to get away from his planet as fast as possible. This was not a trial the Parn were ready for yet.

Esther looked around the ship, debating with herself whether she should volunteer for this... There was potentially good information at stake. Who knew what was down on the planet where the lost ship was? She could potentially run into other immortals and lose her life... on the other hand, this was something that had to get done regardless, and she wasn't one to turn away from a mission. "I volunteer," she spoke up, saluting quickly.

Otrov rubbed his chin and looked down at the planet below, until he finally caught it, an energy reading. He felt a faint rumble within his soul, it was an Immortal. "Hold on. There's a dense soul on this planet. I'll be joining you then, Smith. We may have to enter combat." He activated a switch that sent the ship slowly onto the planet's surface, resting in a forest clearing. "You two, watch the ship and the radar, we'll make contact once we've located it. Be prepared to engage if conflict emerges. For now, this is still recon." Otrov jumped out of the cockpit and motioned to Esther to follow him. "I'll have you lead, Lieutenant."

@Noivian @Sagittarius

Acantha sped up the ship as she could see that the other ship was about to get to the planet first. hopefully we get there first.. "hey cat i'd like you to stay in the ship and dont let anyone in unless its me 'kay?" she started to type on the console. unidentifed Fleet ship this is Naval Intelligence agent Acantha please confirm who you are.

Noivian said:
"Yay!" Nova cheered, looking around for the ship. "Where's the ship?" she inquired, bouncing up to Nanautzin.
@SleepyBuddha @Splat @Loex Ibetink @Seraph Darkfire
Nanautzin pointed to the ship that his old friend the laughing man came on. " That one there. My old friend has been kind enough to let us ride in it. It's much easier than using ones own power to travel though not as quick on my opinion." Nanautzin explained as he went ahead and ducked inside. He was eager to get going.

Otrov turned his head back towards the ship upon hearing an alert, after reading the message he sighed. "Intelligence agent? There's no such thing. They must have gone rogue, regardless, now that they've opened communications with us, we may as well fly directly to them." He opened the hatch once again and entered the cockpit, allowing his ship to rise slightly up, enough to travel quickly towards the ping location. He had replied with "Recon Squadron Vice Captain Otrov. We will intercept your vehicle shortly, prepare for combat, as the area may be populated with hostile Immortals."

After a short high-speed trip, they reached the area where the Ship was located. Halting the ship, he looked below, sensing the Immortal's presence within the ship itself. "We have an Immortal detected. I will attempt to remove them from the ship, while you all remain on guard, watch for the rogue ship, as this could possibly be an ambush situation. Prepare to cover me as I enter combat with the Immortal, we need a quick and clean execution."

He kicked off out of the cockpit and descended onto the planet's surface, his coat waving above his shoulders, and holding his cap onto his head before he landed. Giving the air a sniff, he began walking towards the ship, hand on his blade. The energy levels he detected were low, but only slightly lower than his own. This was a fresh Immortal, possibly even new born. He briefly looked around, was this a fully populated planet once? If so, once he executed this Immortal, they'd return to life, and be free to join the Grand Fleet.

Astarot's comet came closer and closer to Selubia, but when it came close enough to the planet where it started pulling the comet in with it's gravity, suddenly a piece of it broke off and headed towards the planet, while the rest of it continued on it's merry way. The broken piece flew straight into the planet, causing several buildings to explode and at the same time creating a large crater in the earth. While the impact destroy a lot, it did not cause all that many casualties. Naturally, this piece was Astarot's avatar, a clone of his former Immortal self, if other immortal's didn't have good enough perception they might easily mistake him for an immortal.

For as long as she'd been inside the ship, this Red Zone had been mostly peaceful. Sure there were some clusters of those yellow dots here and there, but only one other ship. That was not the case anymore. Two new spacecrafts had appeared on her map. One of them was coming right towards her and fast. Maybe it wasn't that smart of an idea to activate the Ship Beacon so quickly.

Before Camira could think up a plan, the other ship had already landed. On one hand, she had no idea who was coming. On the other hand, they could be associated with the other ship she'd communicated with.

Camira decided she'd wait for them to come to her. That was the least threatening thing she could do, not to mention she couldn't remember doing anything wrong. Even in the cockpit, Camira could feel the wind picking up. She sat down outside in front of the ship, on the green vegetation that she still couldn't remember the name of. She could hear something in the distance getting closer. Not thinking about it, Camira started investigating the plants again. They were only responding to her beacon, she assumed, and the ship was (relatively) fine. There was nothing to worry about, right?

Acantha read the message and face palmed, "of course its him!" she turned the chair around to face cat. "once we land do not under any cirmstances get out or let anyone in. you can watch from the cameras once i meet him." she turned around to the console and typed "so you're a vice captain and have your own squad now! this is Acantha remember?"

Otrov stepped up from his kneeling position and eyed the girl outside of the ship. She seemed carefree, like a mortal, she must be a new born, he thought to himself. "State your business." Otrov commanded as he approached her, holding his hand next to where his pistol was holstered, underneath his coat. "What is an Immortal like yourself doing with a Grand Fleet scouting ship?" he tilted his head up, looking down at her.

Up until when Otrov was only a few feet in front of the girl, he would glance up at the sky, detecting the other scouting ship approaching his position. He wanted to discover the agenda behind this Immortal drawing him here, and have her executed before the situation became more complex, with having to take care of troublesome rogue agents.

Nanautzin heard, felt even, the impact as something crashed into his world while another more powerful presence stayed above. He couldn't ignore that as much as he wanted to. The Parn are not able to handle such a being on their own and it was his duty to help. "I suggest you lot leave immediately. Whatever that was I don't like it. Something isn't right." Nanautzin was very good at sensing the power and life of others and he could tell repairs get away whatever just landed on the planet wasn't normal by any standards.

Acting quickly Nanautzin jumped to the landing site and waited for the being to make its intention known. Nanautzin wasn't taking any chances and was preparing his energy to strike. The ground around him already firming a fleshy web of a virus.
