Fantasy No Mortals (Accepting new characters!)

Loexbrushed off his demented Jester outfit, chuckling. He's worn this outfit for who knows how long. "This is a celebration of joy, in all its forms. For joy comes in many forms, including the pleasures of the flesh." He made a wide sweeping motion, gesturing from the light hearted games all the way to torture and murder. "All those participating knew the dangers, and volunteer their bodies for pleasure. Do feel free to take part in this most happy of celebrations." The Fleshlord smiled beneath his cracked mask. For some reason he felt this was some kind of joke. Maybe someone could make a reference to some series or something. Some Prince of Pleasures and Papa Nurgle. Eh, he'd have to check his references after the party.

Acantha woke up, yawning she got out of the bed and got ready to go out. walking down the hallways in her combat fatigues, people giving her slight stares and gossiping. she was used to it all, having pale skin and white hair got you all sorts of attention. she went into the hanger and on to her small scout ship. it wasnt anything to gawk at, streamlined surface for radar stealth and speed. No guns to speak of except for one machine gun at the nose. she got in and flew off.

Flying a few hundred million kilometers away she landed at a random planet that had a large crater and got out. using her new found abilities she stretched her strings as far as they can gathering information. her strings sweeping the area, listening for any signs of danger or otherwise. to the east was a intact forested area, to the west were remnants of a dead city.

Acantha could hear unusual rustling in the forest, wait, she could also feel something there. "my, my.." what could be giving this off? perhaps it was an immortal? Normally protocol would tell her to call in backup but, she was never the one for that. walking toward the forest she soon found footsteps, leading into it. Acantha's smile grew.

I highly encourage you to listen to the song while reading my post.

The dark hallway echoed with footsteps. A distant sound of a roaring crowd bounced from the walls and the door that led to the stadium. It was quite intoxicating for Dylan. To know that a mass of mortals, passionate about his music, gathered to hear his sick beats. He can remember the first time he was introduced to the massive population affiliation with music. As the feet ceased their movement, with the figure inches away from the door, his right hand snaked up to trigger a mask to close. The mask, a weird metallic mimicry of a cartoon mouse mascot, concealed his identity. It was his form of separating himself from them. Feeling he was prepared to face the hoard, Dylan's arms pushed against the push bar. It gave way and the once muffled noises were loud and clear. The blinding lights from the stadium, as if sensing his thoughts, triggered his memory of being back on the desolate wasteland that he could only assume was "home". And as he stepped into the stadium, the present world dissolved and replaced with a pitch black abyss.

A high pitch static sound; one that would drive any human insane and small animals exploding, stirred me to consciousness. It was not because of its dreadful nature but a familiar sound, like an alarm clock waking someone up. It felt like the vibrations were coursing through me, I suppose they were but I never knew that at first. I sat up unsteadily and surveyed my surrounding. Light brown loose dirt... Sand, dry atmosphere and a relentless blaring sun. I couldn't place how I got here or where HERE was. My first instinct was to find somewhere else that could help me.

Timid steps turned to walks then runs and sprints. I hoped I was going somewhere and not making circles. It didn't occur to me that my sprinting was superhuman until a village came to view and getting nearer by the second. I crashed into one of the mud houses. It didn't hurt but the family at the house didn't take kindly to their home being destroyed. After rebuilding a makeshift home, I was taken to the elders who told me I was in Acirfa and a superior being. I was about to question this "superior" but was shooed out and made to travel further to the city.

Less than five minutes and sure now of what he meant when I leaped across the savanna in two bounds. Walking on unknown streets became fruitful when finding a steel drum street performer getting mugged set him off in a music career and heroine.

Dylan opened his eyes that even he did not know were closed. Somehow, unconsciously he had finished performing and the crowd were going berserk. He scoffed at their mayhem; seeing no need for violently shoving and jerky movements. Dylan missed the times when he was just starting out and employed in an underground dance fight club. With a quick wave to the audience, he exited to his right where he was met with two buff body guards. They led him to his room where he locked himself in. Dylan quickly dispatched his mascot head and threw it haphazardly on the worn out sofa. It was unlike him to get carried away in thought while doing a set. It irked him to no end and as he went to the mirror to chide himself, a letter caught his eye.

It was unlike any of the fan one he would receive by the truckload. The envelope shined a bright silver in the slightly lit room. There was no return address but his name was placed in the middle with a flourished calligraphy typeface. With a turn of his hand, the back was revealed to have a wax stamp, keeping the flap closed. Uncaring of the aesthetic outside, Dylan ripped it open and casually read the inside. Not bothering to wonder how he could read.

After tallying the results for the next exhibition match, you have been selected as the next participant in the Immortal games! Wondering what the Immortal games are? It is a publicly broadcast fighting match that can earn you fame, glory and massive amounts of money. This is a request you can not let pass by.

To go in depth, you will go up against another Immortal with equal or greater power than you. It is a no holds brawl. So bring your gadgets and weaponry. You're presence will be needed at the Himoorian stadium, promptly at 5 PM eastern time. And don't worry, all expense paid trip.

Good luck,

Dylan Baxxer.

Dylan scoffed at the content inside the envelope. He did not believe the nerve others had to make him bow to their every whim. Out of spite, he crumbled the paper and threw it at the waste basket. It didn't make it and with a reluctance, was picked up again and smoothed out. Dylan skimmed it again and sighed. Always one to follow rules, Dylan accepted this challenge and got ready to leave the stadium. Mask back in place, he opened the door again and walked away. The room now empty of life and looking untouched, save for the vanity mirror, which still had the broken envelope.

Fran heard someone not too far away, like they weren't even hiding their presence. "I suppose I'm not exactly hiding my presence... But it might be a little disgraceful to show myself wearing nothing" the new immortal mumbled to herself and hiding inside a slightly thorny bush. It didn't hurt strangely enough, like it couldn't even penetrate her skin. She was curled up in a tight ball, confused by everything that had happened in the past hours

Acantha walked into the forest following the footsteps and feeling around with her strings. soon she reached a.. uprooted tree. "an immortal for sure.." she mumbled to herself. one of her strings felt something.. human? her head shot toward a bush. "i seee youu" she playfully announced smiling as always.

"All of me?" The mis-matched eyed girl called back, poking her head out from the bush, showing a green and blue-eyed face and startling white hair, much like her current conversation companion. "I am currently a little.. Mal-dressed due to reasons I have yet to understand..." She continued. "I don't suppose you could help a girl out?" She said with a small, faintly-embarrassed smile

Acantha gave this unusual girl who kind of, looked like her a curious look. "i should have a extra pair of clothes back at my ship." using her thumb to point at the direction where she had come from. i could capture her and turn her in, i might even get a promotion and maybe more aether... or i can use this opportunity and get information about this supposed "red zone" both of these options in mind Acantha gestured the girl to follow. "i wont bite, promise!"

The woman didn't exactly look friendly... But what other choice did she have? Fran shuffled out from the bush, her arm covering her chest and her other hand over her lower region. "I... Don't suppose I could get thos clothes a little sharpish... Huh? I really couldn't care about how I look, but nothing at all isn't the best style" she smiled, shuffling forward, towards the white haired lady.

"my names Acantha, whats yours?" judging from the nakedness she guessed this girl is a very recent immortal

"It's.. Uhh... Cat" she mumbled, not sure why she chose the name but her reasoning was that she seemed to be something completely different to before. "Nice to meet you Acantha" she said with a small smile, her feet sinking into the squidgy soil under her feet slightly. It must have rained recently.

"thats a nice name" looking back with a smile

"oh we're almost there!" pointing at the dark and small ship if shes recent that means she wont know much about the red zone.. perhaps i can use her and ask the surrounding planets that have reached spaceflight.. "you shall be naked no longer!"

"I wonder if she's the same as me? Whatever I am anyway" Cat thought to herself, hoping that she was the only one that owned the small ship and that it didn't have a crew of any sort. "Excuse me but... Do you have any idea where I am? Or what I am?" The white haired girl asked hopefully. "I woke up in some sort of large, dead place and I don't remember anything but my name" Fran sighed as they stepped onto the ship

picking a pair of plain clothes Acantha looked at cat, should she tell her? "there are these things called immortals, they are usually born in dead places, so im guessing you are one too" smile unbreaking. she handed the pair of clothes to cat. "we'll pick out better clothes for you to wear once we find someplace alive alright?" slowly walking into the cockpit.

"An immortal..?" She thought to herself. "Born? How does that work...?" Cat thought with a resignated sigh whilst pulling on her newly attained clothes. They were a little big, but they would do. "How does one become an immortal? And what are the perks of being an immortal? Because I am one and I have no clue about anything..." Fran said truthfully, sitting down on a small chair and putting on what appeared to be similar to a seatbelt

the ship starts to lift "to be honest im not sure how either" trying to sound sad at the lie. "some say it takes dead people others say they are a gift from god." the ship soon leaves orbit. "ive only been alive for a few weeks you know"

"That's still longer than me" Cat mumbled, having only been "alive" for less than a day. "Dead people or gods? I doubt gods would give humans incredible strength such as this for no cost so... Does this mean I murdered countless people for the sake of power?" She thought to herself, slightly sickened at the thought but choosing not to jump to conclusions.

@Petroshka

"Perhaps, you know what? I heard rumors about a place called, "The Red Zone" I hear its a place where immortals like you and me live, maybe we'll find our answers there?" or you could take her to the fleet, its not too late to get her indoctrinated. But think about it! the Red Zone! They'll probably make you a sentinel! okay a sentinel is going too far blue thoughts.

"On second hand there's a gigantic space station like place that's full of people. We could find our answers there too! I was 'born' there and they helped me a lot!"

As far as Camira could tell, there were no other signs of life nearby. She could hear noises in the distance, but that could easily be some sort of wildlife she hadn't seen. Or maybe it was just the wind. Taking one last look at the ground, Camira stood and began walking forward. She didn't have a plan yet, but sitting on the ground doing nothing probably wasn't helping. She could be doing more than this, couldn't she? Camira couldn't put her finger on what, but she could feel something strange. Almost like a pulse of energy.

Camira felt compelled to know what this meant. Doing what felt natural, she started to jog. Soon her jog became a sprint, and eventually, her feet were being lifted into the air. As if she were being held in place by the breeze, for a moment Camira floated. It wasn't very high; she'd gone up maybe one or two feet. But that was more than enough to confirm that she was definitely not normal. After slowly descending back onto the ground, she immediately tried again. Focusing on getting higher this time, Camira jumped as far as she could. In contrast to her first jump, the time she managed to get higher than the clouds. With the wind keeping her in place, she surveyed her surroundings. Right next to her green plains, there was a small forest. And the area surrounding couldn't be described as anything but dead. Abandoned cars and buildings could even be seen on the horizon.

Most importantly, Camira could see what looked like a ship, not that far from where she'd woken up. Even from her position in the sky, she could tell it was, at worst, recently abandoned. While she wouldn't describe it as a way out (there was an almost definite chance that no one was inside) the presence of technology was promising. If she moved quickly it would probably take her less than half a day to reach. Thinking harder on it, Camira concluded that if she flew she might even get there in a few minutes.

Eventually, Camira made her way to an area a little more than ten feet behind the ship. Hopefully this would get her closer to finding other people. And answers.

"Other immortals or some strange space station..." Cat thought into herself, trying to figure put which one she prefered or if it even was a choice. "I choose this red zone thing, they will be able to teach me more about myself." Fran explained, deciding their destination and hoping for the best. She began fiddling around with the ill-fitting shirt she was wearing while she waited for the arrival to her chosen destination

@Petroshka

"Red zone it is then!" A few clicking sounds later Acantha turned on the long range scanners hopefully she'll find a planet with life that knows quite a few things about immortals. Or better yet, a planet that worships them. Acantha hums a tune while looking over the scanner, and giving a glace at Cat she wondered what kind of powers she has.

Cat looked up to see her new travel companion looking at her. It was strange, she was looking at her, but more like she was some sort of specimen that she still had to find out about. "Why are you helping me?" She asked out of the blue, assuming it would be a normal question to ask given her current circumstances. "What do you have to gain from saving me?"

@Petroshka

Acantha shruged. "We're alike, and we can help each other, find our answers about how and why we're here." Turning the rotating chair to meet her newly found paw- 'friend' Acantha assumed a causal stance.

"I suppose Miss Acantha..." Cat mumbled in response, looking down at the metallic flooring of the ship and her shoeless feet. Her gaze drifted towards what looked like a window of some sort and looked through it at the vast emptiness of space. "How long do you think it will take to get this 'Red Zone' place, a few hours or something?" Fran asked, still looking out the window

"Well first we'd have to find a planet with life and that can take anywhere from a few minutes to da-" suddenly there was a ping on the scanner. "Or sooner than i thought!" Turning the chair around to see the console.
