Fantasy No Mortals (Accepting new characters!)

"Bingo!" Acantha dropped down on the dirt as the armored being flew into her myriad of strings. Snapping through almost a two thirds of her remaining string before being tangled in mid air. Her expression changed to 'holyshit' and she turned to Forfax and Asterot. "That string isnt going to last forever!" She yelled before darting into a much safer distance.

This is bad, only a third of strength left. Taking a better look of the situtation noted that her 'allies' had ground based powers. Two minion type abilities. She was starting to get annoyed at this tournament and cursed at her superiors. Speaking of her superiors she wondered if she should call the strike force standing by... It hasnt gotten thhaaatt bad, has it?

The darkness, as Nanautzin has lovingly called the monstrosity that has hijacked his body, was not very pleased to find itself trapped in mid air with a giant snake made of earth flinging itself at Nanautzins body. The earth serpent smacked the darkness which caused him to fall into the threads making him even more entangled. To make things worse the serpent did as some serpent are obliged to do and began compiling itself around the darkness further sealing his moments. Nanautzin himself was desperately trying to regain control of his own body.

Gabriel summons the other snake, it quickly moving across the ground as it headed for the unconscious Captain, Gabriel herself fighting off forms of Dark Matter using her schyte. She looks at Asterot as the snake itself wasn't able to move the heavy cocoon away, it having been attached too tightly to the surface "I need help! You have to move that cocoon, there's a person in it!"

Alex was actually sitting in the crowd, watching the fight going on. Other than his natural energy, which Mortals couldn't sense anyway, he appeared to be a simple Mortal himself. It was certainly interesting watching the others fight off the demon Nanautzin. He wondered if he should help though. With his Gravity, he could easily restrain him, but this was fun.

Welll...if he was asked, he'd probably help or if the Mortal's were attacked, but so far no one seemed to be having any major problems. Besides, he had some Mortal food with him. He had no need for any sustenance beyond his own energy, but this didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the taste.

Nanautzin was a smart guy, from what Alex knew of him. He was curious to see if he could regain control over himself.

Loex at some point had gotten his pretzel, even got to enjoy it. Until a certain disturbance. Some familiar energy corrupted, and an odd concentration of the similar energy that was slightly off. So, what should he do? Well, after finishing his pretzel he slowly walked towards the arena, Itov following behind. Both unsheathed similar daggers from their sleeves.

Instead of jumping in like the rest, Loex stood close to an entrance to watch. He didn't need to be in there. Though he could quite clearly see the effort of restraining someone. Couldn't quite well tell who, but clearly this was the dark energy source. So the mad Jester giggled and watched. He'll help if he feels like it or if someone noticed him and forced him to act. Itov stood behind his master, hooded head bowed. Loex took another bite of his pretzel. "Heh."

Gabriel groaned as Asterot was too busy keeping his own head, and she started running towards the cocoon that the snake tried to crack open with its teeth. Gabriel buried the tip of the scythe in it, trying to cut trough the dense matter "Come on, come on..." She chanted trough her gritted teeth, using all of her strength to open the membrane

The sight of the building panic among the crowd was delicious to Yushino, making him laugh and laugh without end for a whole minute. The already on edge folks began to actively move away from the disturbing man at this point. Oh, the hilarity of these mortals, especially that one fat bloke that tripped upon the ground.

*giggles* "Your a plump one, aren't ya?" *giggles* With a flash of speed Yushino kneeled in front of the man, changing his tone to be a little less up-beat. "See I'm peckish, so you've got to die, the circle of life or some non-sense. Hum along if ya'd like." And with that Yushino extended his hand and ripped out the man's heart and soul, chewing on it like it was an apple after ripping off his mask (leaving a black oozing jaw with elongated canines and serpentine tong showing and ruining his suit only a little less than the massive amount of blood), humming a little tune from a movie he's forgotten about.

This, quite understandably, caused the mortals to start running away from Yushino who began to just chuckle.

"Hey, where are you guys going? Join the fun!" Says Yushino with a sweeping gesture of his arms creating a large cloud of his toxic gas, killing and confusing the mortals within. Some of them died in laughter, but most of them died in gasping agony, and on the edge of the cloud began to act out violently against the other mortals who escaped the poison clouds grasp.

Hanging only a few feet in the air Yushino has to hold his stomach to avoid falling over. "Oh, why did I not do this sooner?" He genuinely asks as he starts to eat the souls of the mortals, looking for fairer game.

The strings and snake didn't last long unfortunately as the dark viral energy quickly covered both on a viral membrane and began assimilating them into the Darkness. With that the corrupted being fell back on the earth and growled at those who had risen up to oppose it.

Nanautzin was making progress however and now was able to stop it from moving for a moment or two at least. Hopefully this would be long enough for them to entrap him again. Nanautzin was feeling confident that he could regain control with this amount of progress.

Nanautzin kept working at and working at and slowly started to quell the darkness, weakening it as he started to bury the power deep within his soul as it had once been.

Acantha glaces over at the being now eating the crowd. She rolled her eyes and with a geunt of disgust she put two fingers up to her ear. "Strike force 1-3 this is Scout Acantha take action, two demons have appeared and about two dozen immortals suggest glassing the station." Right after that another voice popped into her head. "Roger that scout clear the area, strike force ETA fifthteen minutes"

After she was done with her transmition she noticed Nanautzin broke free. Goddamnit. Acantha threw a few more strings to deter him and dart/flew near otrov and his teammate. "I called in backup 15 minutes before they hit" i'd have to find Pandora and Cat soon.

As the first crumbled under the darkness, Gabriel quickly summoned another, not being able to do so before due to the darkness attacking without a stop. Forfax didn't know why the darkness stopped attacking for a moment, but she was more than glad for it. With her tension slightly lower at the sudden possibility of them winning, Gabriel finally heard the screams of the Mortal coming from every direction. She looked over her shoulder only to see a demon effortlessly killing masses of people and equally effortlessly eating their souls. The Officer looked back at the cocoon, having to decide between two goods. She ughed and pulled her schyte out of the cocoon, leaving the snake to try to open it as she rushed towards the source of the gas.

As the strings wrapped around the darkness it did little to resist as Nanautzin had already locked away most of the dark energy deep within his soul again . Nanautzin pulled all of his energy inward to quell the hunger and the darkness. As the strings tightened around him the armor crumbled very easily and the cocoon also began to flak and break down. Nanautzin had finally managed to quell the demon within and regain himself.

The ancient immortal laid on the ground completely helpless and visibly exhausted. He wanted nothing more than to sleep for several decades but he needed to stay awake for this and answer for what he had done. Although it was not of his own will he had lost control and put others at risk. The honorable immortal was prepared to accept the punishment.

Without thinking about it, Loex simply strode over towards the cocoon. It seemed mildly important. "Itov, we dig." Without another word, both mortal and immortal stuck curved, claw like daggers inside the cocoon. The way he saw it, he wasn't endangering himself, and he found the cocoon mildly intriguing. What was this hard material? Where they struck they glanced off, leaving a small crack for each dagger to dig into. Itov of course had smaller cracks and was in a bit more danger being a mortal amongst a fight amongst immortals.

Alex sighed as he stood up, black Gravity Spheres beginning to twist in the air above him "Ruining this day" he mumbled as he looked towards the poison cloud that filled the area. He rotated his fingers and the spheres shot up, revolving in the air rapidly. The gas began to rapidly flow upwards as the gravity of his Spheres pulled on it "Killing Mortals is something I'd prefer not happen" he frowned as the air carried Acantha's words over to him.

"So much for the Immortal Competition" he said thoughtfully as he watched the poison cloud begin a gentle orbit around his Spheres. Nothing could escape the power of Gravity.

Vincent had left Nova behind some time ago. He sat outside the ring, hiding his presence. Things were getting out of hand. Luckily, one of the Immortals had stepped in to prevent the crowd from being affected. Shaking his head, he went and sat down next to that Immortal. Only then did he allow his presence to be known. "This is getting out of hand. We should end it." All of the Immortals had been fighting, and if those holding the competition were not going to end the fight, then two fully functioning combat-ready Immortals should be able to. The opponents were probably weak enough at this point to be neutralized.

"People might die at this rate. Especially that one." He pointed to the collapsed combatant on the ground, Otrov. "I feel he has a bigger part to play, and he may not be allowed to die in this competition."

Alex chuckled "People have already died" he said "Though Mortals they be, they are what we come from after all" he grinned at Vincent "But I do agree with you, it wouldn't be very good for all of the interesting Immortals to die so quickly" he looked around "Seems as though the only thing we have to worry about is the Poison Immortal spreading this gas, and the reinforcements that the String Immortal spoke of" his attitude was surprisingly different from when he'd met Acantha and the others on Nanautzin's planet. Of course, this was only in serious situations, Alex knew when it was time to play and when it was time to get serious.

"Immortals are notoriously hard to kill, so these reinforcements probably won't bother to attempt to apprehend us, most likely they'll just try to destroy the station and us along with it" he stretched.

His smile grew larger as he looked at Otrov "Since he is so important, it would be best if we attempt to wake him up first" he chuckled "As for fighting, I'll leave that up to you, my abilities are defensive and restrictive" sure, he was very powerful, but all of that power couldn't be used to damage an Immortal's soul, only their physical form. Not in the way he used it anyway, but that was how he liked it. Perhaps one day, after he was long gone, another Gravity Immortal would appear that could only attack.

Vincent nodded. That was the only permission he needed. The lights in the entire station went black, as if an EMP had gone off in the center. All electronics ceased to operate, their batteries drained. Vincent's eyes began to glow with power, the trapped electricity within his body going wild. In an instant he had changed his form into an electrical current, riding the humidity through the air to Otrov's side. He grabbed the unconscious combatant and once more transported him to temporary safety in an instant, slightly slowed by the extra weight. He then turned his attention back to the arena. All of the electricity in the station had been sapped and pulled into his body, which he then then gathered in a small ball floating above his palm. The light coming off of it was a brilliant light blue that covered the entire battle field in fluctuating rays of light.

His voice roared over sound of the fighting, assisted by the sudden silence of the powerless station. "Cease combat. This tournament is flawed. People are dying because of your carelessness." The amount of electricity in his palm, should he allow it to explode, would probably let off a shock wave somewhat stronger than that of an atomic bomb. Such power was not meant to be compressed and restrained like this, and it was a lot of electricity. Should Vincent need to engage in combat, he would probably have to either allow it to return to its functions or let it loose. Preferably the former.

While the battle was going on, Asterot stayed back and recuperated from his battle with Acantha. Truthfully, Asterot had used about 80% of this avatar's energy and instead of wasting more by joining the fight, he stayed back and continued to absorb the nutrients in the soil of the battlefield. It wasn't until he had restored around 40% of his energy that he started to join in. By that time, Nanautzin was already inside of his cocoon and a large cloud of gas was hanging over what used to be a crowd of mortals. Asterot frowned at the sight, he hadn't even gotten to finish his fight yet and now the audience is gone to make it even worse, the lights go out and an immortal who appeared to have some kind of thing for talking eloquently was holding onto what appeared to be a ball of energy, almost as if he had absorbed the electricity of the ship.

"Hey! Doesn't that mean you basically just killed all of the humans on station, and the ship is most likely going to crumple due to lack of oxygen?" Asterot yelled towards the man as if he was talking to someone who had completely forgotten that they were actually in space and the only difference for the humans on board was the air inside the station which was only sustainable thanks to the electricity on board.

He had thought of that. He was not worried. "While they may be floating around like imbeciles due to the artificial gravity being shut down, they will not suffocate. Well, as long as I restore the electricity within a timely manner. There is still enough oxygen left in the station to sustain the Mortals for a time without needing to be recycled. As well, should I wish, I could simply reroute the power to the Oxygen generator and allow the flow of air to continue throughout the station. I simply needed to get your attention and to stop the conflict. As well as the cameras. I have never much liked having my face broadcasted."

As Gabriel launched herself in the air towards the gas mask wielding demon, lights suddenly went out and forced her to land onto the rock wall that has been crumbled slightly due to her serpents' activity. There was enough light for her to be able to inspect the current situation, and it seemed like everyone stopped fighting. To top it of the crimson Jester from before is trying to open up the coccoon. The air was heavy and it seemed as powerful energy flowed trough it, substaining the orb in its shape. Despite the sudden twist of events and the possibility of fights continuing nevertheless, Forfax sighed in relief at the moment of quiet.

(Entering as a new temporary character, Otrov will remain unconscious, but might awaken after 24 hours or so. I won't be using this character again after the conflict in the space station, as I plan for him to die here, he'll basically serve as a boss for you to defeat. Whoever does the best and makes the most interesting/entertaining posts against him will be free to eat the soul. Or of course, if you aren't into that kinda thing, you'll get a nice experience boost to Armoured form.)

"Strike force 1-3 this is Scout Acantha, take action, two demons have appeared and about two dozen immortals, suggest gassing the station." she says, as the Captain of the main recon squad intercepted the frequency, travelling towards the 3 signals representing Grand Fleet scout ships. Captain Hiiglane was already on the way there, and had cut short the radio frequency before it reached the Grand Fleet, using a high-impact blast of Aether energy. He's the one in charge of his squad, and he wouldn't let some high-and-mighty strike team interfere. Besides, he was already on the way through the Red Zone, to round up his squadron, especially young Otrov. How dare they infiltrate a gathering of Immortals on their own? He was their captain, and he was outraged. With blood boiling, he couldn't wait to obliterate the filthy rats who threaten his squad, and of course, to discipline them.

Upon reaching the space station, he frowned and spent some time analysing the energy levels within. As expected, they were all far, far below him in terms of strength. None had gained a single piece of Soul Armour (Including his own squadron, he might add), nor had those disgusting Demons reached their true, demonic forms. However, he was surprised at the sheer number of beings that were held in this station, there were about 10-12 beings, and at least 7-8 of them were in active combat, or at least, were planning to be. Taking on more than 3 at a time would definitely be troublesome, but with demons, Immortals, and his squadron all together, he doubted that these worthless morons would team up to take him on, and most likely would allow him to pick them off one by one. Even if they decided to team up, he didn't come without backup plans.

By now, the beings inside should have been able to detect him. He was sure they'd never even felt the presence of an Immortal who had gained Soul Armour. There were Mortals in there, and he had to resist the urge to simply rip open the station itself. Instead, he calmly made his way through an entrance in the roof, and there he was, floating above the various stadiums. He was too high in the air for anyone to visibly notice him, but he'd change that quickly, he was indeed, a dramatic man. Motioning his hand, he formed a huge waterfall using his water energy, and dashed downwards through the water with a flash of light, landing hard on the dirt floor, creating a large splash due to the water surrounding him. Getting up from his knee, he brushed the dust from his coat, simultaneously allowing the water to disappear from around him. Folding his arms behind him, the captain calmly looked about his immediate vicinity, filthy, disgusting demons, self-righteous Immortals, failed gods. He tilted his head up, grimacing at the disgusting display of chaos all around him. He spoke with a loud, pompous and dramatic voice. "Well, what do we have here?" He gave a fake laugh and raised his arms in the air. "A pile of dirty, putrid animals, fighting over scraps of Mortal soul. This is what I find in the back alleys of the universe? Disgusting." He spat on the ground, cracking his knuckles in one hand. "My squadron should have butchered you pigs long ago, how, diss-a-pointing." Salegg shook his head, feeling the rage building up inside him. "What do you have to say for yourselves?" He turned his head, looking for whoever was remaining in his squad, he could detect Gabriel in the immediate vicinity, and the girl who called in for reinforcements. Yet there was no sign of Otrov.

The water immortal that appeared before Vincent was like nothing he had ever seen before. The power was so overwhelming he almost did not notice the others that came into the station along with him. Instinctively, he allowed the ball of electricity in his palm to expand and surround his body in a cloud of electrical armor. It was something he had practiced yet never put into combat. First thing is first, though. He needed to find out if this new being was a threat. "Are you here to cease the fighting, or begin it anew?" Should he answer that he was here to fight, Vincent would not hesitate. He was trained in combat, though while not with other immortals, his experience had to count for something. This one seemed as though he had been around for a while as well. There is a strong possibility that he was aware of Vincent's interference with some of the human's activities in the previous centuries. He could tell that there was no use trying to hide his presence anymore, so he let it loose.

Nearly two thousand years of suppression was let out in an instant. His aura expanded freely for the first time in nearly two thousand years. The air around him felt electrified, as if the universe was finally able to acknowledge his presence. He had been hiding for so long, but now Vincent knew could not afford to focus on anything other than the possible enemy in front of him.

Threlm had been there from the start. Sitting there and enjoying the tournament. Watching as it all went wrong and immortals and demons and artificial alike clashed. He was so enjoying watching the whole fight fold out infront of him. Right when he thought at least one of them was going to die something new happened. His first time being off of that disgusting planet he called home he is shown this. Something he had never seen before beings like himself. Why this made him want to fight more and more.

Through out the fight Threlm had been sitting in the same spot not moving now matter what was flung his way. Still masking his presence because he was so engrossed in this fight, he watched as a new competitor appeared. Threlm had been waiting for this moment someone who looked very tough and a soul that made his mouth water. Threlm stood up and laughed loudly at the ignorant boss figure. "At least it was entertaining." Threlm laughed insanely again. "Have you come to join the fight too? Maybe I could be your opponent." Feeling the strong electricity flow through the air only made him want to fight more. Threlm lifted his palm and a powdery subsistence the size of a baseball came shooting out of his palm flying at intense speed towards the captain. Upon reaching him it would turn into an explosion around the size of a mortar. While this was happening Threlm would also let some powder fall from his other hand and go under his feet.

Before anyone else, he heard a peep from a little Electricity Immortal, which caused him to burst out laughing. Once he had recovered however, Salegg turned his head up and nodded at the boy, smiling in a mocking way. "I'm going to kill all of you." He let out another exaggerated laugh, folding his arms in front of him. "Don't tell me, you were going to spare these demons? Isn't that pathetic!" He shouted at the Immortal, chuckling to himself. "And I thought my opinion of Immortals couldn't get any lower, they can barely survive amongst themselves and their own Mortals, but now, they're not even willing to save the outside mortals! Absolutely worthless, the day this scum is wiped from existence couldn't get any closer!" He threw his hand up into a fist, glaring at the Immortal energy sources around him.

After the short confrontation, he was met with words from a nearby demon, his face scrunched up in absolute disgust. It was trying to fight him? "You? fight me? Are you asking to be executed first?" He waved his hand and caught the sphere in a larger ball of water, crushing it under the massive water pressure until nothing was left. "Can't you see I was having a conversation? Will my squadron be rid of this filth for me? Where is Otrov? Gabriel?" He wondered why he'd have to waste his time on this.

@Gabriel Forfax @Splat @Saruwatari Tomohisa

Gabriel chuckled at the Captain's grand appearance, and she already jumped off the wall, landing on the head of the serpent, stepping down onto the drenched earth as the snake lowered its head, protectively staying behind its creator as the Officer saluted Captain Hiiglane.

"Officer Gabriel reporting to duty. Captain Otrov is unable to fight and has been taken away from the sightseeing. What are your orders, sir?" Forfax asked, courage returning back to her while standing near such a powerful figure.

Salegg sighed and shook his head. "You always were a trustworthy one, Gabriel. Expect a look at raising your rank in the near future. Remove this beast from my sight, show him that he is not even prepared to take on my subordinate, let alone myself." The captain pointed towards the demon who fired an attack at him early. He was disappointed in his squadron as a whole, but this was better than nothing, having one soldier by his side would make matters easier.
