Futuristic new earth

Nichole decides to go check on Saphire again. She gives justin a quick nod before heading out of the mess hall and back to the medical center. She knocks on the door, "Saphire? You there?" @SaphireTsuki

"Understood." Saphire nodded to Dawn, pulling down her shirt, and looked toward the door as there is a knocking sound. "Yeah, I'm in here." Okay. How many people want to talk to me? I made it clear that I'm not interested in bonds, and here comes two people, maybe three, who think I'm good enough company to talk to? Of course she would talk to them, but she wasn't about to be kind to anyone.

Nichole remembers Saphires type. Okay, don't be too nice. "Just wanted to make sure you were still alive. I don't think we'd be able to survive with out our love able body guard!" Nichole says with a small chuckle.

Saphire blinked. Lovable? Sarcasm, then. "Yes, yes, I'm still perfectly alive." Though she grumbled to herself near-silently "Unable to move, but alive," before telling her sternly "Come in, it's annoying to talk through the door."

She shrugs using only her shoulders. "I've been given numbing serum, so it won't hurt for a while." It might hurt like all poisoned daggers later, but for now she was fine. As long as she didn't move too fast or lift anything. Slowly she stood up, careful to stop if anything hurt, and nodded to Dawn. "I'll see you around, medic." Then she turned to Nichole. "You, by coming to check on me, have volunteered yourself for cripple duty. Just catch me if I fall on my way to the mess hall." And now she was carefully walking towards the door.

Slowly heading for the mess Saphire wondered what exactly to say. She knew that they needed to re-make humanity, though she herself wasn't sold on it being a good idea, so not that. Weapons were a no, the squish ball had freaked when she mentioned being armed on the ship, books. Books were neutral, and didn't need to be nice to talk about. Well... if the silence got weird she had her topic. Do silences get weird? She now stood in front of mess, gripping her stomach because wow... that didn't hurt at all and yet I know I probably did more walking there than I should have.

Saphire nodded, taking a seat at the nearest table. I want fish, but no. Something less... strenuous. "Eggs would probably be a good idea." She didn't want to get hurt if her stomach had been bruised by the ribs too. Soft foods, she figured, at least for the first week would be a good idea. Of course, fish was when cooked correctly soft, but she was not going to try to eat that just yet. Besides, she thought it was close to breakfast time... or after and she'd skipped it for combat.

"Alright." Nichole walks over to the machine and tells it to make an omelet. Surprisingly it does. She brings the omelet to Saphire and sits down with her as she eats.

Saphire took a fork and began to take small bites of the omelet, eating quickly. Pausing after a bit she asked, almost as though it had just occurred to her, "Did you eat already?" A fair question, she felt, though not necessarily a good one. Her eyes looked up at the girl, though they looked carefully blank. She didn't know what had caused her to ask, but she did... ah, maybe she was feeling uncomfortable being stared at while she ate? No, but she couldn't think of any other reason.

"I see." So it was already past lunchtime. She needed to keep a better track of time from now on. Was the watch able to tell time to? She continued to eat her omelet, finishing it quickly.

"More like an 'Assassin-Cell-filled-with-hungry-men-and-two-women' thing, but yeah." She said, shrugging. "If we wanted food we worked fast to get it on our plates and into our bellies."

"I wonder how Saphire doing"he went to the medical room reading one of his books when he got in his saw Dawn was only there"how are you doing today Dawn"

Saphire blinked surprised. "I thought you were more of a younger sibling." To be left alone? She used to think it was a luxury, but supposed that some people needed to be in groups. For her part she was stuck trying to get used to the idea that humanity might have a chance at finally escaping the depths of idiocy.

"No. I'm an only child. My mom.... Died when I was little and my dad wasn't exactly around much." Nichole replies, thinking of her responses carefully.

"I won't pry, then." Well, that was obviously a painful subject. Mentioning that she had killed her own father probably wouldn't help, so instead... "My sister and I never got along. We had different ideas on what an Assassin should be." That would be good for a change of topic. She wasn't afraid to share her past, and any pain she herself felt was rightly deserved.

"My sister was entirely for just working for the highest bidder." She explained, leaning back in her seat. "I was more of a 'if we could work for one person' type of assassin. I hated that we would kill one man's kid, only to be hired by the same man to kill our employer. Unfortunately, I wasn't the boss. She was, so I had to kill whomever she said, when she said, how she said." She looked down, not really wanting to see how Nicole would react. "Assassins, you see, are blades. We are pointed at who or what to kill, and do what it takes to get the job done. We provide the service of a permanent solution, and a tool can't choose who wields it. Those who try are eliminated."
